It hurts when I see your self confidence fail. I feel like I should've done something to prevent it, even when there's nothing I could have done. But he couldn't say that to her. Not yet. He wasn't brave enough.

Beatrice looked at him. She sniffed putting her nose to his. She blinked ar him with her shiney black eyes. "Hm. Then now I think of my awakening as a blessing,..." She giggled and licked his snout.
"I try not to doubt myself.. now that I have a teacher." She smiled at him and nuzzled. "I. Want a cherry." She decided as she licked his cheek. It was something she had been wanting. Since. Since forever. When she was making the cakes for val day. She always wanted to get the cherry that... everyone has been talking about. Was this an emotional thing? Or was it real. But she didnt know where anything was THAT good. She just knew there was a mountain. With a said cherry on it.

Feeling oddly medieval in the light of a possible quest, Elenshi grinned and offered her his arm. "Shall I then accompany you on your quest, milady?"
A quest for a cherry certainly sounded fun.

She fluttered her feathers and pointed off. "YES! Shall we go then?" She giggled and took his arm. With a nudge she leaped down pulling him as well. She laughed her whole way down. Promptly landing on her hind legs.
She pondered how she could bring back a cherry THAT big. Or so they say it was the biggest cherry ever.

Elenshi blinked as she leapt down, pulling him with her. He quickly realized that if he held onto her, he'd land flat on his tail, or worse, his face. So he let go and as he landed, rolled to his feet, twisting around immediately before Beatrice to offer her the flower he'd plucked during the roll. He then offered her his arm again with a broad grin.
"Onwards!" He announced with glee that soon faltered along with his pointing finger, as he'd forgotten which way sweet beatrice had pointed, being far too busy staring into her eyes at the time. "Umm....Which way again?" He gave her his best attempt at a comically forlorn look.

She laughed and looked at his attempts. His roll. She exmined and laughed along with. "I think it was onward! Wait.. no.. el otro lo" She turned around and pointed that way. A slight look of the moutain blurring in her eyes. It cant be helped. She wanted to bite that cherry that sat on top of the moutain.
She took his arm when offered and nuzzled against him; setting the flower next to her ear. "Rolling like that is a bit dangerous dont you think.. " She giggled not the fact of him getting hurt. But the roll looked so dashingly cute.

Elenshi shrugged as he started in the direction she pointed. "Less so than say...fencing, or snowboarding, or skydiving..." He listed various things that Kali had told him humans did all the time. Glancing over at his beautiful companion, he was delighted to see she'd set the wildflower behind her ear. It set off her coloring wonderfully.

She nuzzled him before taking small steps towards the direction pointed out. She had packed nicely for this journey that she thought would take all day. She softly got back down on all fours and walked proud like with her packed goodies.
"Yea know... I think about you. How come is it that we could be so close. It boils down that ... neglecting the fact where we could stand by each other and have feelings. Much likes these days when you arrive. It makes me happy.. very happy." She smiled softly giggling to herself for using her educated chat.
"Its just that.. - Heh. Im just being silly. Forgive me." She glanced his way with a soft giggle once more. She looked up to see the Ice Cream moutain come more in to view than just a blur. The forest floor was just as surrounded by small candies and berries as any. The sweet day seemed modest.

Elenshi was a little surprised to see the pack. Evidently Beatrice'd been planning this for a long time. As he walked along, listening to her talk, he began to worry a bit, but not too much. It sounded like she was saying she couldn't understand why they liked each other, but that it was undeniable that they did.
"Nothing's wrong with being silly. What were you going to say?"

"Hm.. ? Just over thinking. Been doing that a lot lately.." She nuzzled the pack again to set it more confortable. "Lets make a pack.. when .. we get to the top of the ice cream moutain.. our feelings. Lets not keep them held up.. I want to know.. but the mountain comes first." She said with a giggle.
"Again. Silly aint it.." She fluttered in wings and smiled. "But dont mind me. Just raw thoughts.."

"You mean, tell each other how we feel about each other at the end of the quest?" Elenshi turned bright red under his fur. "...That would certainly put a few questions to rest. In my mind, at least."
Elenshi looked at the mountain ahead and worried a bit. He had heard that it was literal ice cream - but was it hard, or soft serve? If the latter, he knew they'd have a hard time reaching the top.

Beatrice looked up some time when getting to the foot of the mountain. A long.... way up..
"Up and adam." She repeated and started to crawl up. Looking back slightly almost forgetting he was there. Absent minded from all the things she was thinking about. Extending her paw with a bright smile.
"Come with me?" The mountain started with a cown kind of footing. Looking up at what was the icecream forever not dripping.

Taking Bea's paw, Elenshi hesitantly stepped on the beginning of the ice cream. It felt like very cold, stiff mud under his foot-paws. With a grin, he ran all slippy-slidey ahead, laughing.
"This is fun!"
Whirling around to face back to Beatrice, he gave her a challenging smile. "Want to race on the way down?"

"Wha? the way down!?" She laughed and leaped up slipping in the ice cream. She had been in the cold many a long time but this was even colder than where she lived! She slicked her wings back and glomped him first thing. Rolling and sinking some in the cold ice cream.
She looked down at him. She gave a bright smile with a slight shiver and leaped off of him heading towards the top which was some miles up.
Determination being her life at the moment. The excitement to get to the top.

Grinning, Elenshi followed. "Yep. We can go faster on the way down." He glanced up. They were only about a quarter of the way up - it was both farther and shorter than he'd thought.
