What do you mean, 'handout', Mooby? What am I supposed to be handing out?

I get $50 a week from my parents because they won't let me work. If I was working, I would work at a bookstore or at my local Liberal Party office. Or maybe at a computer store. All of those would be quite fun or interesting, in my opinion.
The good thing about my situation is that I get money without having to work for it. The bad thing is that my dad only gives it to me because I'm doing medicine, and he wouldn't give me anything at all if I was doing a course I wanted to do.

* Sputters incoherently. *
Translation for "literate" audience: I like my job though it has occasional irritants. But when I get paid, it's nice -- I can buy a book or DVD.

Recently it seems I haven't been bringing home a paycheck. I keep buying things at work, using my kohl's charge card of course, and therefore have to use my paycheck to pay off the credit bill. it's not my fault that kohl's sells nice things!

This is why it's wise to have a separation of job and consumerism.

my last paycheck was under $30. Is it really my fault they only scheduled me to work one day that week? I think not. It's their fault. Next semester, I'm thinking of increasing my hours so that I can increase my spending money amount by a whole bunch.

I am now getting payed a major load for a high school student, 23.50/hour as a freelance programmer, given that the sort of progams I do are difficult and obscure to write.

This is my last week of work before transferring for the summer. I don't think I'll miss it too much since I'll still be with the same company and I am transferring back when I come back to school. Anyhoo, I am so glad I only have 2 days of work left!

J-E-O-C I am now getting payed a major load for a high school student, 23.50/hour as a freelance programmer, given that the sort of progams I do are difficult and obscure to write. Whoa, nice. That is fantastic pay for a high school student. Well, my dad has randomly decided that I deserve more money, so I'm getting up to $70 a week now. Not bad for a kid living at home who only needs the money for the bus fare and lunch.

I've decided 2 things:
- I will have time this semester to increase my hours at work. Now I just hope they'll schedule me for those hours.
- I want to go back to work now. I still have 2-3 weeks of vacation left, but I really want to go back to school and work because I'm getting bored here. There's nothing to do. Grrr.

My pay has been upped. I'm apparently the best at my type of programming in like the state. It is good.
