I never used Guardian, I was always afraid that I would hit it.

Thats why I set it just as an attack is comming!

Or, you could use the AntiDamage chip after that, so if you hit it you'll just attack the enemy without a problem (favorite tactic of mine to use in netbattles with my friends, they often didn't expect it!)
