In my mind "Paganism" refers to a wide variety of polytheistic (and possibly animistic) traditions from Pre-Christian Europe or drawing from early European systems. Hence Greco-Roman religion, Wicca, Druidism, Wodenism, etc; possibly Satanism by default lumping. I don't associate the term with any "major" world religions or any religion of non-European origin.

when you really look at it, pagan is about the worship of nature. mother earth, her ferility, loving and caring for her

buddhism doesn't deal with that. it's about the connectedness/ the interdependance of ALL things... think, indra's net


Ditto. However, it can be argued that "pagans" value an abstract interconnectedness amongst all things, just that they see the "wheel of birth and death" as intrinsically good, not cruel and pointless as in the Buddhist view. The material world is generally regarded by them as "truly existing" and not a product of primordial delusion.
