Hmmm... it's a theory, I suppose.
Hmmm, and from the viewpoint of someone that didn't read the book, I'm kind of afraid that people will consider Eragon just another childish fantasy about a boy and his dragon.

HAH.
If people read the books they would not think it was a childish fantasy.
Beside, who cares what other people think, I don't.
It doesn't matter of them, what matters is the fans like us who are the inspiration for Paolini to keep writing.
Doubted, the movie did have some of it's flaws to be expected. I was utterly pissed (pardon my language) that Solembum wasn't in it. Yet, I knew the moment the movie started, everything wasn't going to be to my expectations. So I cast the book out of mind and sat there. Watching. It was an excellent movie, and I wasn' to fond of who play Eragon, I hoped they would've had someone more experienced to play his role.
But overall, I loved the movie, and the book more.

All you're worried about is the one word? At least Fox was incapable of being stupid enough not to leave out that! Where's the scar and all the Ancient Language?!?!? I was going to be sitting there making the correct translations to the people talking in Elven before the subtitles came on! BUT DAMN IT, THE SCAR!!!! The only thing we can hope for is that when Durza flipped off his mount and slashed at Eragon, he actually got him, and that Eragon never felt the effects of the blow even at the end of the movie.

I realise all of that, but the Brisingr is just the one thing I was realy looking forward to. Eragon was supposed to walk up to Durza, plunge his sword into the abck of that b*****d's chest, and then Brisingr him into oblivion!!

I dunno, I wasn't all that enthralled. As previously stated...WHERE THE HELL (sry) WAS SOLEMBUM!?!?!? I thought he was like the coolest thing ever, and they completely took him out. Other than that.......Angela is not a stripper. Sorry, that was one of my pet peeves, O ya! Arya! Black hair, not orange, leather, not dress scream gah, ok...venting over.

Simple, they won't. Or Paolini will sue their asses. The only way they could possibly make Eldest now is if they completley rewrite Eldest, or completely redo Eragon. Both of which, will either cost them more than it's worth, or get them sued.

it... was.... atrocius!
simply horrible, vile, and a load of horse s**t
they had the herbalist, but did not show her, nor the were-cat fighting. they also left out the child whom eragon and saph. blessed (or rather cursed as they find out later). they also didn't include the shining star, and how it was that which eragon used to kill durza. i was fuming for weaks after i saw the movie, it sucked balls ~_~
