Aiden McCallahan prepared both himself and the Auriarus for docking nearby the beautiful island, Isla Olvidada. He had heard great stories, but as he neared and was able to get a better glance, the captain still found himself surprised. Every island seemed to be home to wonderful native species of plants and animals and this contributed greatly to their own originality. Being fond of small islands, himself, Aiden kept a detailed record of all he visted. Isla Olvidada was no different and already the man had memories to retell his children.

Throwing the multiple anchors overboard, the dragon-kin found himself standing atop the edge of the ship, wings outstretched and collar popped up. He was certainly a site to see for all those awaiting a ships arrival on the island. Behind him the sun shone brightly in the sky, illuminating both the opaque skin of his wings and the water below.

Smiling broadly, the tall dragon-kin dived from the ship and outstretched his wings to land carefully onto the island ground. His feet sunk into the sand from the impact, but quickly he was standing tall and walking out into the midst of pirates.

Captain McCallahan was in search of a crew.

Tracey took her hand and helped her up. He looked at the island and remarked, "I have been stuck on that island for months, at least three." He lost count because it wasn't important.

"Thats a long time to be kept from the sea,I couldnt do it." She said turning to look back at the island.
"The winds must be on my side to have only spent what little time I had on this island." Tia turned to look at the ship it was exciting a chance at a new life on the sea, by what seemed to be a decent captain atleast better than Captain Blackheart. Though she hadnt know the man long she hoped he was even better than her first impression of him.
"What do you think we should do? Find something of use that we can do or simply wait for the captain to arrive?" Tia asked turning to Tracey.

"I didn't have the choice, It was hard just trying to live a normal life. Being near the sea was the only help." He was a pirate, a man of the seas and thats all he thought he would ever be. He wasn't in love with the ocean like every other pirate he had met, but he got along with it well enough.

"He didn't tell us to do anything; we should just wait on deck for him or an obvious need for us to do something." He was all for drying out his clothing, as well.

Tia sighed and slipped agaisnt the the wall of ship to a sitting position.
She made herself comfortable in the sun. She yawned feeling abit tired from everything she truly hadnt had good sleep in while. Tia was very relaxed now that she was on the boat she didnt look so tence.
"Hmm you have a small pice of rope that you could show me how to do some of thoses knots you do so well?" Tia looked up at him with a grin while using her arms as pillows.

Tracey produced six inches of rope from a pocket. The rope wasn't very thick, but that thickness was what he used the most in the island life so he didn't bother creating stronger or bigger ropes. The rope he had was made from a fibours plant that grew on the island and in Great Britian.

"I'll teach you a few things, I have plenty of rope." That was an understatment. He was also concerned for her, she looked tired. His promise ran out, but he hadn't stopped caring about her.

Tia pulled herself fowards so she could stand, but as she did her shirt fell abit revealing her back. Her back was full of scars obviously from lashes from her past Captain. She stood and sat on the railing of the ship ready to learn what he had to teach.
"Ok show me one you can use alot on a ship." Her eyes were concentrating on the rope while her mind wondered how long they would have to wait before setting sail or atleast getting to work.

Tracey watched her; he saw the scars on her back. Remembering her talking about how the captain lashed her for just humming, he made up his own mind, if that captain ever showed up, he'd kill him. No one has a right to treat anyone like that, not even a captain.

Realized something, in his line of thought, he'd stand up to even the Dragon-kin for her. Now when in the world had that happened? Shaking his head he responded. "There are different knots for different jobs. Let’s work up from the most simple to the complicated. This is a overhand knot." He took the rope in his hand and brought the ends up so that they were inches apart and even, "First, bring the ends up and even, then make them pass each other." As he explained, he brought the ends past each other, the overlapped that way.

"Now, weave the ends under once." The left end went under the right side of the rope, poking out the other side of the right side of the rope. Doing the same with the right end, there was a small round frame like hole created. He could look at her through that hole. "Once you have the hole, you know you made it right. This knot is good for securing things under deck, but not so great above deck when a storm hits."

Tia took the rope from him and looked it over. She had gotten alittle confused as he went so fast, but she figured she could do it.
"Your so quick at that, who taught you to tie like this." She said undoing the knot hoping that wouldnt offend. She followed his instructions, but she forgot one instruction and she took it apart knowing it was wrong.
Tia couldnt remember compltly how it went.
"Do you think you could show me one more time. You dont have to explain it just tie it again just abit slower?" Tia asked handing him the rope.
Tia looked at Tracey and wondered what he was thinking. Tia was starting to care alot about him. She had not really met men like him before, like James he treated her like she was someone, not like she was just some stupid girl. Tia wondered what he thought about her and as she did she wondered why she cared so much about what he thought.

Tracey took he rope back, "I learned mostly on my own, when I was seven, I was working with my father on an English merchant ship. On that ship, we made trips too far of and exotic places; I have met some extremely strange people. However, they had known how to do things that I didn't. So while my father and the other Merchants stuck their noises up, I learned and practiced." He tied the rope once more, going slower.

For good measure, he took it out and retied it. Following that, he gave it to her. Almost reluctantly, he thought about the only other way he knew how to teach someone tie knots. "I know one other way to teach you how to tie; it worked well for me as a young boy. However, it would require me to sit extremely close to you and move your hands with you help. Someone I knew a long time ago used to say that 'once the hands know, they never forget, unlike the mind.'" He left it up to her, if she could tie it now that he had done so twice, slowly(to him anyway) then the method wouldn't be needed. Or, if she didn't want him to, the he could keep this up all day.

Tia listened to how he learned to tie knots she gave abit of an odd sigh when he mentioned the age of seven. That was a very bad age for her its when her life took a drastic turn from Captain Black gaining his name and his insanity.
"Strange people normaly do have something very interesting to teach. I remember the last time I was stuck on and island for awhile. See captain black heart was being hunted down for a recent attack on a merchant ship and we choice and island to hide out on. Everyone else were afraid of the natives saying they were most likly head hunters. But James and I went to meet them and they were truly just a very happy people and partied every night. Though they were abit crazy with fire walking, they got me to do it, but I doubt Ill ever do it again." Tia gave a laugh thinking about how James had freaked out as she did the fire walk. That had been one of the few happy times in Tia's life. Tia watched him retie the knot and she took the rope and looked at it for a moment. She thought she would be able to tie it now, but she thought about his offer and thought it was a good idea.
"Let's try it, it sounds like an easier way to learn....Mind if I ask who used to tell you that?"Tia was curious to find out more about Tracey for some reason.

Tracey listened to her, impressed by how she was open minded and willing to try things of other places. "Fire walking is one thing I never did try, but I have seen people walk on white-ash. The thing I had the most fun with was when the people of east Africa were working building a canoe; it was interesting racing down hill with a 200 pound canoe."

He then, after hearing her consent, stood behind her, so close she could probably feel his breath. She would have had to move back a few centimeters in order to actually be leaning against him. He wasn't bold enough to try that number. Taking his arms, he reached out and very gently grabbed a hold of her hands, his hold was not enough to restrict movement and if she were uncomfortable now, it would be extremely easy for her to get out of his grasp. "An old servant that lived on this ship used to do this, she was a poor weaver that taken along with a few of her daughters as 'gifts' for England. Their skills were impressive. She used to do teach me what she knew like this every night." That bounding time was something he missed, and it defiantly felt different with Tia.

With the old servant, it was much like being a puppet and learning, but as he was trying to teach Tia, he was also trying not to become so aware of her. He had to keep focused!

"All right, I'll move your hands and show you what to do, follow along with me and if you know a part, do not hesitate to take control back." This was about her learning, not him making her move.

"Fire walking is one of thoses things you have to do atleast once in your life." Tia laughed as crazy as she thought it was it trutly was quite an experience. "That and swinging on a vine at a waterfall's top letting go and dropping far down into the pool below." Tia laughed again thinking about a men running a 200 pound canoe down hill to the water.
"Now that is something I could not do, I have strengh and I have speed, but I dont really think I can put them together."
As he stood behing her she could feel his breath on her. She felt alittle embrassed and excited, but she wasnt sure why. She tried not to blush as he took her hands.
"Slaves are something Ive never agreed with. Everyone should be treated equaly be you a king or pirate, man or woman, black or white, dragonkin or human." Tia beleaved in what she said. She hated seeing people being treated like livestock. She broght herself back to the task at hand.
"Alright lets get started then."

Luther approached the ship from the water. He could see that there were ropes thrown over the side, apparently for those without wings. He took hold of a rope and started to pull himself up onto the deck. Luther could hear voices on the deck as he rose out of the water. He hoped that there would be a helping hand for him when he reached the summit.

The water had been cold. Luther realized that his cloths were soaked completly through and he was much heavier then usual. The chilling wind did not help in his climb, stinging his fingers and biting at his nose. He pulled himself up, hand over hand, his blades on his back pulling him down.

The deck seemed miles away as he had climbed, but as he reached the railing he whiped his leg over and stood dripping wet. There were a couple of people on board but none that Luther knew.

"Uh... what should I do while we wait for the captain," Luther said in an off tone to no one in particular. He stood there dripping not knowing what to expect. This wasnt his idea of fun, but neither was prison, especially on this island.
