"Vivian is clearly not human and... Sjaji is like her, you say? What are they, then?"
Indu frowned, she hated being left in the dark... She was going to have to find this Chaco kid again.
Sjaji, on the other hand, was grinning like a maniac. Fascinated with Viv's darker coloring, she touched the Jalepino girl's hair.
"Preh-Ee!"

Vivian felt a little akward, she usually enjoyed people admiering her face, but not her. She just sat there not moving while looking at the other baby.
"Yes, not human..." Jeffrey seemed to say to himself. "I'm sure all will be reviled soon of course. it sort of like the news paper in a way."

Slightly stung, Sjajan pulled back with a small pout.
"Vih-vee?"
Indu leaned toward him with interest.
"You... You write?"
She wrote too, a lot. She was working on a book, but her day job was journalism.

"Why, yes, I'm a news journalist I write for an underground newspaper that I know will be big one day." He streched his limbs. "If I'm young enough to see that day ofcourse,"
"V-vin!" She said as she scooted forward.

"Vih-Vahn!"
Sjajan clapped and pointed at Indu's head.
"Reh!"
Indu looked excited and nodded.
"I'm a journalist too! Well, my real dream is to be a novelist, but I need a job until I finish my book. Underground? How old are you that you won't see it get big?"

Sjaji shook her head quickly at Vivian's words, and corrected her, she didn't want her new friend to say the wrong thing! She pointed at the other girl's tattoos, they weren't red, they were fire!
"Fh-ahym!"
The teen's eyes widened at his age and she grinned.
"Definately kicking! I'm only 19, so you seem tremendously old to me Si-- I mean, Jeffrey."

This confused Vivian was she 'Reh' or 'Fh-ahym'? She shook her head and said. "Reh, a, Fh-ahym!" why be one when you could be both she thought.
"Yes, I'm aware of my age and limits, but hey it's, as you kids put it, cool." He laughed to himself while looking at the children then taking out a note pad and wirting in it.

"Rhayme?"
Sjajan giggled at the sound, she could indeed be both!
Seeing Jeffrey pull out the notepad reminded Indu of her shopping list and she jolted to a standing position.
"I'm sorry about this Jeffrey, but I have to go, I've got to get that crib!"
She bent and lifted Sjajan, who of course, struggled. When the babe realized that she wasn't getting away, she promptly reached a small hand up to clentch in Indu's hair. The teen winced for a moment, but let the baby retain her handhold.
"Buh Vih-van!"
Indu smiled and waved at them before walking back toward the mall.
