*Nyx's ear flicked back* She just arrived here then? *she glowered at the new arrival for a moment more before looking back to Vashin* You haven't been keeping anything from us now have you, Vashin...?
*She circled the couple, sniffing warily* Where did you come from, newcomer? YOu smell strange to me... and yet... there are scents to you that I know that I Do. Not. Like. What is that unnatural thing around your neck? *her eyes darted momentarily back to Vashin, a "you should know better than this" look*

"Yes, I just brougt her from the neutral grouds," Vashin replied, puffing up his chest a bit defensively. "I wanted her to meet you."
The stranger wolf tried to act relaxed as the imposing alpha came close. "I came from a far way away." Indeed, she sounded quite funny. Her communication sounded strange - the wolf equivalent of a heavy accent. "From across the salt water."
She gave a glace to Vashin as Nyx asked about the pendant. Vashin has warned her his mother would not probably take kindly to it, though she was too attacted to it to throw it away. "I've had this since I was a pup," she said honesty. "It says 'Crown Jewel' - that is my name."

*Nyx scowled at the explanation and turned to Vashin* You should have approached me alone first.... *and then turned back to Jewel*
This thing stinks of the two-legs. *her teeth bared as she said the word* And their stink lingers on you as well, girl. I know of the salt water, but have known none who have come from the other side of it other than great monstrosities that bring more two-legs to this place.

Vashin opened his maw to reply, but Nyx didn't give him the oppurtuniy. He frowned and his ears lowered onto his skull.
Jewel swallowed, and continued to shoot worried glances as Vashin. "There are wolves across the water. But I came here on a boat. A an.. two leg's boat-" her ears lowered, but she quickly added - "they aren't all bad, I promise, ma'am!"
Vashin stepped closer to her, forcing himself between Nyx and his friend.

"Not... Not all bad?!" Nyx spluttered, her hackles raising* "Vashin!! Did you know of this?! And you still brought her HERE? To our territory! Our safety! She came here with Two-Legs! What if they follow her here?! What if they slaughter OUR pack the way they slaughtered my parents - my siblings~!"
*the growl rumbled deeply in her throat as she looked to Jewel* "Those two-legs ARE all bad - they are unnatural MONSTERS who kill wolves - and not even to eat."
*SHe looked back to Vashin with her teeth bared* "This one is Tainted, Vashin. Take her back to where you found her before I do something you will regret*

Vashin bared his teeth and growled stepped fully between his mother and Jewel. "Don't you threaten her..."
"Vashin, please..." she beautiul female stepped from behind him. She kept her pose submissive as she addressed Nyx. "Please, Vashin told me about your past. I can assure you, no one followed me here. I have not seem them since de accident. I barely made it to shore alive. As far as I know, dey are all dead."

*Nyx growled at her son* You bring her to OUR territory without my permission when you KNEW what I would think. We have very few rules here, SON, and the ones we have we have for a REASON.
*She looked to Jewel, her ears still pressed back, but the submissive pose held her back, at least made her listen* Just because you do not think they lived does not mean that they didn't -and they are murderers - I cannot endanger my pack harboring you here. All of my pack understands the danger that two-legs bring with them - the destruction that they wreak. I will not tolerate one who sympathizes with those monsters.

Jewel's voice was getting more insistant. "They have not followed me. They couldn't have. I looked for dem for weeks. I assure you. I am just trying to move on wit my life."

"They are not monsters!" Jewel pleaded, a slight rise of anger in her voice. "I would not even be alive if dey had not raised me! I don't know why it matters anymore anyway. Dey are gone - I am only looking for a new home. I am not going to bring anyone here!"
Vashin remained silent, but he stood very close, defensively, at Jewel's side, glowering at his mother.

*THe growl intensified at Jewel's defense of the two-legs, her hackles raise and her teeth bared dangerously* "Get out of my sight, PUP - I will not hear of this! Nor will I allow you filling my Son's ears with lies! I do not know what foul scheme these creatures had for caring for you - but I am sure it has to do with the look of your fur so that they could strip it from you later!" She barked.
"Leave here now - or I will force you to!"

I am just as much the alpha of the pack as HE is -and this is the very grounds upon which this pack was formed! "If Father is just as much Alpha as you are, then his opinoin should matter as well! This pack was founded as a protected land- away from two-legs. That does not mean we turn away homeless friends of ours just because of their past with them. Her presence here will not bring any two-legs. And even IF any do - we will kill them. It is that simple, mother..." the anger began to seep from his voice, replaced by a pleading desperation.

*Nyx growled* No - THis pack was formed in order to be a safe haven for those hurt by the two legs and those who share our mutual hatred of them - NOT for those dogs who think of them as brothers, or worse, alphas!
You do NOT know the danger that they pose, Vashin - for you have never seen them! They slaughtered my parents' pack - summoning thunder itself to strike them down. Our pack is strong, but against monsters..... *she shook her head* Our numbers are too few to think of such a thing.
