FastFresnel Yes, I actually did consider moving to Harmony for a time, but it was too far away from my job in the Dr. Phillips area of Orlando. Who is this Boisseau Becker? And did you enjoy your FCATs? He was my creative writing teacher who really needed to be fired. Here is a quote of his:
(on the topic of plagiarism, a girl jokingly said that students should be expelled)
"If that happened, kids would disappear faster than Jews in a holocaust!"
Not to mention, constantly speaking about God and grading students based on his personal opinion of them and not by the quality of the work they turn in (he gave me an A, though, because he lives four houses away from me and my dad said that he would kick his a** if he gave me lower than an A when I deserved one)
FCATs? Thankfully, this was my last year of them but I passed them all with a four or higher.

Well, congrats on the FCATs! That's amazing work, really. They put so much pressure on you all through the school year to perform well on them! However, you seem highly sensible to me, and obviously have gotten some sort of education in spite of it.
Mssr. Becker certainly does need to be fired. Why don't the parents ride him out of town? It's dreadful, really reprehensible.

Yes. Luckily, we have a new principal who isn't his neighbor (our former one was) so he'll probably be out on his too-good-to-get-a-license a** for that.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but in reading up on Harmony, I got just the faintest whiff of something unpleasant ... it all seemed kind of Stepford Wifeish, you know? I'm still getting it ... gack! gonk

I'm still getting it ... gack! gonk It kind of is. It's kind of like Celebration in a way. In fact, most of the younger kids here call it 'Pleasantville'. Of course, it's kind of a play on words since half the people here are asses or insane. Or just juvenile delinquents. Or reclusive. It's sad when my family is the normal one in the neighborhood.
