"I'll have Reesh look for it, then," Charlie mumbled, yawning. It really was a nice day and for once, he wasn't all that annoyed at another's presence.
"Have you heard of the two songs I mentioned?" he asked, glancing over at her. He liked the little star on her forehead. It made her name fit all the more, recalling the picture book he had found at home and its picture of the Christmas Star.

*is skipping the pics for now... x.x*
Tangel thought for a moment then nodded faintly. "They sound familiar, but I don't think I've ever had the chance to listen to them... Who sings it? Maybe I can get Ky to play them for me one day..." She smiled again, giving her tail a soft flick against the base of the tree.
Charlie seemed rather interesting to her. She loved his colors as they were somwhat close to her own. Well... the blue at least... and some of his black patterns looks partly similar to her darker blues. Looking quickly over him again, she gave a soft murr. He was, in fact, handsom.

"Brad Paisley sings 'When I Get Where I'm Going' and Rascal Flatts sing 'What Hurts The Most'. Reesh says that 'What Hurts' goes better with one of my 'sisters' so she gets all weepy whenever she hears it. Humans are so weird," Charlie replied, noticing her gaze on him. He used this oppurtunity to really look at her.
Her markings were rather pretty and she had such bright, expressive eyes. He wondered what she saw in him and his eyes narrowed slightly. He looked back up at the green 'roof'. He didn't understand why his cheeks began to warm, but knew he was glad for his dark face-fur to cover the undoubtable coloring of his cheeks.
Why he blushed, he didn't know. Why he was enjoying her company he did not know either. In fact, he didn't really understand any of this and that realization didn't really bother him for some reason.

Tangel couldn't help but giggle. Humans were weird. Her human proved that daily. "If you think that's weird... you should meet my human sometime. She's the weirdest being I think I've ever met. And she's definately the weirdest out of the rest of the family..." She smiled for a moment, letting another blush flood her cheeks when she watched him look away.
With a softer voice, she laid her cheek upon her knee again and wrapped her tail around her crossed ankles. "What's your family like, Charlie?"

Charlie shrugged. "Too loud and crowded. Reesh has this big house and island, but it's still crowded. There's a lot of little things runing around and being noisey and like to bother me to play with them. And then there's the girls. When I first came, they were all freaking out and saying I was... ... cute," he muttered, then sighed.
"Except Sabine. She seemed to treat me with, I donno, respect I guess. She told me that she wasn't all blond and never called things cute. She said, that being a monster it was against her code of ethics. She's easier to talk to," he added, thinking to himself that Tangel was easy to talk to, too. He felt his cheeks heat up again and he smiled ever so slightly.

Tangel nodded softly and smiled a little herself. "Yeah... I know how that can be..." She bit her lip softly before moving to sit a little closer to the other Audio.
She wrapped her tail around her legs again and murred once more. "Half of my family like to make fun of me and my name. Not all of my family is nice, but I'm safe whenever Kylin is around..."
Her purple-grey eyes focused upon the water and she smiled softly. "Or... Meli... She's a really big dragon who watches over the younger members. She usually takes place of Ky in most situations..."
Her blush increased softly as she smiled again. "Besides... I don't think your cute..." Her gaze shifted over to Charlie with her blush highly evident. "You're quite handsom, if you don't mind my compliment..."
Part of her was afraid that he'd think of her as another one of those girls he kept scowling over that call him cute. Though handsome was definately a different category in her book.

Charlie's ears perked up and he looked at her with wide eyes. "What was that?" he asked, not sure he'd heard her right. Whenever Reesh or one of his sisters called him cute, it made him feel like a child and that none of them acknowledged the fact that he was a grown male. He remembered talking to one of his brothers and his brother-in-law.
"If a girl calls you cute like our sisters do, she probably thinks you're fluffy or something," Larry said and shuddered. "I may be vain, but not THAT desperate." Merlin, Nimue's magic weaving mate, rolled his eyes. "Don't listen to that Narcissus. You should take some compliments. But watch out. If a femme gives you some of the big ones, she might just be interested in you. Not that I'm saying that's a bad thing, but-" "What are the big ones?" Charlie asked, interrupting Merlin in a half bored, half interested tone. "Like you're handsome or something about the way you talk or something you're good at."
He blinked. Merlin had to have been joking. Tangel wasn't interested in him! He hadn't done anything but lie there and chat a bit with her.

Tangel blushed even brighter, keeping her eyes focused upon the water. "I said you were handsome..." she repeated, her soft smile still remaing. She then blinked and turned to look at him. "Why...? Is that bad?" She blinked a few times while looking at him now. He had such beautiful eyes, that it made her blush seem as if it was pulsating through her cheeks because of it showing up, then fading, showing, fading, then showing again.

Charlie sat up, the ghost of a smile whispering faintly across his face. He reached out and touched her blushing cheek. "You keep blushing. Why?" he asked, not answering her question. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad, spending more time with Tangel. She was definately something special, something different than any female he'd met. She didn't get all fangirly over him and she seemed really intelligent. And her eyes really were beautiful, he realized as an afterthought.

Tangel blushed again, but purred and leaned faintly into his touch. She gave a gentle shrug and smiled, "I'm not very sure myself..." Turning her gaze quickly back to the water, she thought for a moment. It was hard explaining something you felt if you had no idea what exactly you were feeling.
"Have you ever..." she bit her lip at this point. She was always the one to sift through her words before actually saying them... sometimes... "Have you ever had that feeling of butterflies fluttering in the pit of your stomach? And it only happens when you look at someone?" She turned her head again - this time to look at him straight in the eyes. "Or just that simple state of joy and happiness that comes unexpectedly without any other explanation than the fact that you're comfortable when you're around somebody?" She hoped that she was making sense, because the words in her brain at the moment weren't exactly lining up correctly... but they seemed to fit?

"Actually, no," Charlie said, his ears drooping slightly. He tilted his head just a little to one side but kept his gaze on hers. "I've never had that feeling before. And I don't know about butterflies in my stomach, but for some unknown reason I actually feel happy with you here. That's never happened. Usually," he paused and looked at the water.
"I keep to myself. I don't really like people. They're loud and annoying and always have their own opinions that they think everyone has to know and don't understand the beauty of silence. But..." and he looked back at her, his eyes softer than before.
"But I don't mind you. It's like... Every voice in the world is screeching and yours is a song. I don't know how else to explain it."

Tangel couldn't help but blush even brighter than before. She returned her gaze back to the water quickly to try and hide it, but she knew it was pointless. Her soft smile didn't want to leave either, but she didn't mind showing it.
She fell silent in her smiling for the lack of words erupted and she had no real idea as to how to respond. It was almost as if there were no words to be said...?
After her blushing had toned down its brightness some, she returned her gaze to his - now purring ever so faintly.
She couldn't think of any other way to thank him for his compliment other than... "Thank you..." ... with another of her warm smiles.

Charlie actually smiled back and touched her cheek again. "When you blush, it's kinda pretty," he said and lightly kissed her cheek, his paw on the opposite cheek. He hoped she didn't mind, it was one of those spur of the moment things and he really hadn't thought about kissing her until he'd already done it.
"Um... I'm sorry... If I, if that was uncalled for," he said slowly, his cheeks heating up. He knew she probably wouldn't see his blush, but the fact was that it was there all the same.

Tangel giggled and scooted closer to him. She gave a purr and nuzzled against his shoulder softly. "There's no need to be sorry..." she blushed, then giggled some more.
"I have a question..." she stated while sitting upright. She tried to do a soft immitation of him while asking. "You keep blushing. Why?" She refrained from another giggle.
Though she couldn't outwardly see the color change in his cheeks, she knew the looks of a blushing person. It got easy to tell with all the other dark colored pets back at home. Especially when they just got caught in a mushy moment with their significant other. Tangel usually had a knack for running into couples at awkward times.

Charlie's eyes went wide and his ears shot up. "H-how..." he began to say, but broke off with a half-laugh. "I donno. It's not like I can control it," he said with a smile. When she nuzzled his shoulder he tilted his head so that he could nuzzle her, too.
"I like you, Tangel. You're different than everyone I've met before. A good kind of different," he said slowly, not sure how to explain what he felt. When one does talk a lot, putting words to things is often difficult to do.
