Well, I know that my father hates the fact that I like anime. I was watching the last episode of Yuugiou saturday and he said, "What?! You're still watching this s**t!?" I said, " stare It's the last episode..." Then he said, "Good!" My mother doesn't really mind. She's even bought me some merchandise and lets me use her e-bay account to buy things. My siblings don't really care. My younger sister even watches it with me. We're both huge fans. Besides that, I don't think anyone else cares. I'm starting to suspect my other relatives of thinking I'm watch/read porn. sweatdrop Especially my grandmother. She thinks I'm being becoming a devil worshiper 'cause she heard that Yuu Yuu Hakusho had demons and she saw me reading Hellsing. o.O

"Demon" as the Japanese term and "demon" as the English term have pretty different meanings anyway. stare

baka-baka my parent's don't mind. They tease about it, and if I watch it in front of them, they make fun of it. But then again, I make fun of it too, so it doesn't matter. sweatdrop Same situation here. My parents actually started watching it with me when it came to cartoon network at night. Now I have to share my amusing little memory. We were watching something on comedy central together before that, and another one of those Bod commercials came on. You know the ones where all the men are playing basketball in slow-mo and some woman in the backround is making orgasmic sounds saying "I want your bod" and its about the most rediculous body spray commercial in exhistence. Well then we changed it to cartoon network, after poking a little fun at it. It was during the noa arc, and it turned out to be the episode where Noa challenges kaiba to a duel, and only the winner gets to escape to the real world in kaiba's body. My step-dad turns to us as noa explains his motives and looks at us with a completely serious face to say "He wants his bod." Maybe its only funny if you've heard the commercial yourself, because he immitated it so perfectly. xd But gawd, I think we laughed so hard we almost cried. I also have a story about the time I explained my annoyance with rabid-yaoi fangirls to them, which involved in turn explaining gay ygo fanfiction.... but I'll save that one for a later day. Oh! and my sister used to watch it with me all the time. She's grown out of it, makes fun of it all of the time, but as you can tell, thats just what my family does. [/rant]

^I was afraid it might of been one of those "you had to be there" situations so I'm glad somebody else actually found it amusing! whee Poor Noa, we used to pick on him a lot actually... and his shorts.
As for friends, which I forgot to mention, most of them don't care. a few of them definitely thought of me as weirder when they found out, but most of the kids I hang out with are each into their own strange things anywho.

I remembering doing that a few times myself.
Mainly we just put Noa's shorts into every theory me and my friends came up with, regardless of wether or not it had anything to do with noa.
But we all know he is just angry at the world for not giving him pants... I'd be pretty pissed too. o=

Ok, here is what everyone around me things about me in this order.
The Year 1996 In Japan!
Parents Both my parents hated the fact I like Yugioh or Anime because they thought that I would slack off and start failing in school.
Friends This was a 50/50 because in the year 1996, it wasn't very popular but half my friends liked it. Another half hated Yugioh but liked other animes that I liked.
Relatives I didn't have many relatives living in Japan but my Uncle (whom owns a video game company) liked Yugioh and tried to get an interview with Kazuki Takahashi and still is trying to get an interview with him. sweatdrop
Now, the Year 2001 In U.S.A
Parents My tousan left my mother this year so he just left and didn't care. My mother put all her anger on me and saw Yugioh that she complained in japanese "This crap, again! We left our home to get away from this." So, whenever I watch Yugioh, my mother curses it.
Siblings My older brother doesn't live with me anymore because he has a dorm in the university. My younger brother didn't care and didn't like Yugioh at all. Actually, he hates anime.
Friends I don't have any friends in America. People at school attack me a lot because of my race.
Relatives My relatives in America don't care crap about me and when my family moved they all moved somewhere else. My uncle in Japan still likes Yugioh and he started drawing pictures of Yugi for me! 3nodding
Well, this is about what everyone thinks about me and Yugi...I mean Yugioh. ninja

Are you sure it was 1996? YUU*GI*OU wasn't made into an anime until '98, and that was the first series. Duel Monsters started in 2000...

idea But didn't the manga debut in 96? Maybe thats when she first got into it.
Anyway, I'm sorry to hear nobody around you understands your obsession, miss mazaki. (and thats awful about your school, what kind of crazy hic town are you staying in?)
But you can always come and talk about it here with us if you're feeling alone! Thats the beauty of gaia. 3nodding

Yeah, the manga debuted in '96, but it sounded like the anime was being talked about. Anyway, I probably just misunderstood. Sorry! ^^;;
