Len had waited patiently for several seconds for an excuse that never came. Instead, the boy’s dog (discounted except as a potential threat in the case things went sour) opened its mouth, and before Len knew it he felt one knee hit the ground. He didn’t go down entirely; his was a particularly sturdy constitution, and no attack that relied on seizing his muscles could hold him for too long.
But this did the job well enough, for at least as long as it took for the two to duck inside Guilty Pleasures. Several others took the oppurtunity as well, ghosting past the line he had been holding to move past him inside.
Moments later, upon seeing him go down, a waiter from inside rushed over, still carrying a tray with several cocktails on it.
Struggling with numb lips and tongue, Len managed to whisper out ”alert…security” in a way the waiter could understand. There was an unauthorized presence in Guilty Pleasures, and that couldn’t be allowed.
A few moments later, he struggled to his feet, unfocused eyes trying to keep track of GP’s front and hold the line. This was his job. Inside, quietly, the waiter hesitated. He hadn’t been trained to know what to do with a security breach, that was something for the security team. In a panic, went to find Jean-Claude himself.

Jean-Claude let the little drama play out, watching Linneus to see how he’d react, watching St. Vier watch Linneus.
He frowned as the slaver put a finger to the odd tattoo-like marking at his temple. He didn’t know what it entailed, but the blank, unfocused look in the other man’s eyes told him it was something important.
He opened his mouth to respond, even as he mildly beckoned Linneus forward, to make clear the slave shouldn’t take St. Vier’s command seriously, to tuck the slave against his side and dip his head to lay a lazy, open-mouthed kiss on Linneus’s mouth.
Even as he did so, a waiter approached, transparently nervous, indeed shaking. It was unusual for a waiter to approach him personally, outside of situations when another had assaulted one of his workers in his presence. There were several lines of superiority in place to ensure that he only occassionally had to interact with voluntary, non-sexual workers.
He remembered the waiter’s name with difficulty, and beckoned the waiter forward.
”Kevin? What is it?” He shot a sideways glance at St. Vier. As much as he enjoyed the man, he certainly didn’t want to show weakness in front of him.
The waiter hesitated, obviously struggling, and Jean-Claude forced himself to be patient, smiling in gentle encouragement until the waiter found his voice.
”…Len sent me in, sir” the waiter whispered, and it would have been too low for anyone without heightened senses to hear. Jean-Claude motioned him on.
”He was…there are intruders in Guilty Pleasures, sir. I wasn’t sure who to tell.”
Jean-Claude dismissed the waiter, slightly annoyed. Cases like this were what he had security for. This wasn’t usually his domain, not something he had to worry about.
But--the waiter had come to him, and he supposed he didn’t dislike the waiter’s initiative.
With a sigh, he excused himself from St. Vier’s company momentarily, scooting Linneus toward him as if in payment.
He supposed he could look into it personally.

Cut you open and make you sick Suffer, suffer, suffer like I did ≠
His frustrations turned into somewhat of a panic in the seconds that transpire after his howl. It worked. It really frickin worked after failing so much in the past 24 hours. For a very brief moment the wolf would hesitate, unprepared for the outcome, before lunging and making a dash passed the momentarily disabled guard to the building. Though truly it was questionable if he would have known how to react to any other outcome anyhow.
Speeding ahead, Aidyn was fairly reckless when entering the large main room of the establishment. He hadn't planned for the remaining line to seize the opportunity, but it would provide a most needed cover of confusion and chaos. However, he made it almost obvious that he wasn't welcome when he'd exchange snarls and snap at the various intruders and employees that came into his path.
It was only when he'd made it to a less crowded piece of the room that the creature would slow, turning back in search of the red haired boy that had dashed in after him.
Aidyn sniffled the air, making a most displeased look as he shook his head. There were too many odd smells here. Disgusting ones, familiar ones, and unpleasant ones, that would make this un-moving search needlessly more difficult than it needed to be. It was a sense he wished to rely on, because something about using that recent amount of power had sent an overwhelming amount of exhaustion through his body. One that would cause his vision to begin to fail as if he hadn't slept in days.
(Keep in mind his speech is only in canine. Anything in <> will be that for clarity.)

The red head ducked into the building after the wolf but was quickly surrounded as the rest of the line used their little trick to rush inside as well. The large crowd did provide them with cover, but it also disorientated the red head as well. In his attempts to get out of the crowd, he shoved and was shoved back in return. But it wasn't until the male was in a less crowded corner of the room did he finally stop and scan the area around him.
In the confusion, he had lost Aidyn and so far, he could not see the other anywhere. This caused him to become very tense and uncomfortable, coming to the realization that he was now in an unfamiliar place that was probably filled who knows what kind of people. The scavenger shrank back into the corner, trying to hide as best as he could. He could see security already making their way around the room, trying to get the unwanted guests out of the building while probably searching for whoever caused the commotion in the first place.
Taking a deep breath, Nero slowly started making his way around the room in search of the wolf. He wasn't even sure if the wolf was looking for him at this point. But they had stuck together so far, the red head didn't really see the wolf just ditching him or anything. The small male clung to the shadows as best as he could, eyes scanning the room until he finally caught sight of tell tale white fur. He quickly made his way over, kneeling next to the wolf. "Are you alright?" The male asked while checking the wolf for any injuries that might have happened in the confusion.

Strolling through Guilty Pleasures proper was easier for him than it would have been for anyone else. Whether they recognized him or not, most people moved away to give him space, either responding to dominant energy as almost all creatures were wont to do, or by recognizing him. It was impossible to tell what the waiter could have been referring to. People moved in streams through the club in any number of jerky patterns, converging and drawing apart in configurations that had no clear internal sense to them.
There was a stream of people dispersing around the entrance, but that could be—anything. Jean-Claude made his way to the club’s entrance, stopping in the door frame and leaning against it to fix his gaze on Len. The bouncer bowed once to him, quickly and efficiently, before maintaining his guard.
”Kevin tells me there’s a problem at Guilty Pleasures” he murmured, smiling and waving at the (surprisingly short?) line of people waiting to enter when he was recognized.
Jean-Claude watched the bouncer’s eyebrows click together in consternation.
”He shouldn’t have come to you with that” Len muttered back, visibly irritated.
”He shouldn’t have” Jean-Claude agreed mildly, and waited. The silence extended for a few seconds before Len understood he should keep talking.
”A dog, or—something. It barked at me—mutated, I think, some sort of sonic force momentarily paralyzed me. My inner ear’s still halfway on the fritz. It went inside, along with a person…red hair, human-passing, pierced lip with a chain to its ear. Appeared to be male.”
”Keep up the good work” Jean-Claude replied, before heading back inside. He grabbed a member of his security team as the man (nearly seven foot, with a bull’s head and small, unmoving wings on his shoulders) passed.
”There’s a dog loose in Guilty Pleasures. Bring it, and its owner, to me.” He described the redhead the way Len had, then released the man and moved back toward where St. Vier had been left to play with Linneus.

Having made his way to the cover of whatever surface left a cover over the floor, Aidyn was beginning to feel as though his efforts of searching the chaotic crowd was in vain. There was security now, and there was the undeniable chance that the boy had already been escort out for not fitting the description and attire that a usual guest of the establishment would have.
A sigh like grunt left his muzzle as exhaustion would begin to take over, and he fell against a hard surface beside him. Yet before his eyes would unwillingly close, a familiar voice rang in his ears. They perked up from their flattened and nervous position and his snout pointed to the boy. It was Nero, he was still in the building.
It was a strange comfort to not be alone when you were on the brink of passing out in a, mostly, unfamiliar environment. There was no telling what would happen to them and well, there still wasn't.
The wolf let out a high pitched but quiet whine before moving his head in somewhat of a nod. And for the most part this wasn't a lie. He was fine overall, but the gnawing exhaustion was a problem. That part wasn't fine and that was clear in his body language as he wobbled thanks to his failing muscles.
Though, with the room being brought under control to some extent, this was no place to just stop. This realization coming to him when his ears flickered to capture a particular voice. It was fortunate that he had an enhanced sense of hearing because he caught not only the sound of the bouncers voice, but along with it someone else. Someone who didn't seem entirely pleased by the intrusion.
”There’s a dog loose in Guilty Pleasures. Bring it, and its owner, to me.”
When those words, or something like it within the chaos of sounds, hit his eardrums the wolf released a low growl and tugged weakly on whatever portion of Nero's clothing was closest, signalling to move. Preferably towards whichever opening lacked a guard or searching eyes.

••• St. × Vier
There was no reply. There was a brief flash of what could have been pain in St. Vier’s eyes, quickly stuffed down and converted into sheer irritation.
If the ******** couldn’t be bothered to reply, he certainly wasn’t going to wait around for him, as if the scientist had any power over him!
A waiter came by to interrupt them (St. Vier watched Jean Claude’s reaction carefully) and Jean-Claude subsequently left, tossing Linneus against him. St. Vier could feel the instant tension in the slave’s body as he froze, sprawled across St. Vier’s lap. Presumably, the slave very much wanted to jerk away, but had heard Jean Claude’s quick offer.
He soothed his irritation by letting the slave hover in discomfort for some amount of time, reaching up to tuck a lock of hair behind one lovely ear.
”Whatever I want, hm?” he purred, just to feel already tense muscles tighten even further. From this close in, St. Vier could see the ultra-fine marks where St. Vier had ‘altered’ Linneus to enhance his beauty. Linneus had been born good-looking, but to create something as beautiful as he was now had taken a fair amount of work.
He felt the dog-shaped slave stir at his feet, and the reminder of who the slave was meant for cooled his interest.
”Why don’t you attend to Ahkmet?” he murmured, already losing interest. There was a sharper note to his voice. Perhaps this would be a waste of time, time that would have been better spent at Haven after all. He enjoyed seeing Jean Claude, of course, but this hadn’t been meant as a social visit. Typically, he didn’t have time for social visits.
He had customers to satisfy, after all.
Linneus just blinked at him for a moment, unsure who Ahkmet was. St. Vier waved down at the dog, and with only minor hesitation the slave sank to the floor, holding a hand out for the dog to sniff before tentatively petting him on the shoulder.
The dog looked toward the one petting his shoulder continuing to wag his tail slowly taking in the other slave's scent keeping perfectly still though the howl from earlier irritated the Jackal God to a calm degree for his ears were a tad sensitive. However, he didn't show any signs of annoyance as he would sniff the petting hand giving it a gentle lick as a friendly gesture before turning his gaze toward Vier who didn't look happy, from Ahkmet's perspective he assumed is current Master was growing impatient for some odd reason" Forgive my impertinence Master, but, is everything well? You look troubled... no, that's not quite right... you look more annoyed than troubled. May I ask what has you annoyed so quickly?"The dog asked as he was concerned for his current Master's well being, he placed his front paw atop Vier's thigh with a look of worry in his golden hues.

Everything was set and ready for god knows what chaos, he just had to give the core devices to the new owner and then it was none of his business anymore. Vol was now stood outside of his main lab wearing a long plague doctors mask and a dark hooded cloak, the air above ground was below the scientists' standards so he was often seen wearing this attire. He peered through one eye at the sandy winds. Now then, time to do a few more things before heading to a certain destination-
A sudden intrusion penetrated his mental defenses with that familiar and unpleasantly alluring voice which licked deep into his ears; "Hurry up. I'm bored."
Vol wasn't sure if he should be annoyed or excited, perhaps both? He didn't like it when his privacy was disturbed but it wasn't like that guy to bother him so he couldn't help but crack a smile beneath his mask knowing dear St. Vier was itching to play. Hmhm, just like old times. His finger twitched as he contemplated replying with the various responses floating through his mind, in fact just hearing that creatures voice stirred a sleeping part of the scientist awake. But he remained silent, that slender p***k can kick a tantrum if he wanted to but that would only serve in Vol's favour if it allowed him a chance to capture the beast. Yes... There's a thought. The scientist still wished to dissect this elusive and cunning creature which even after all these years was near the top of his to do list. Oh this nostalgic feeling was a devious one... Vol quickly subdued it and regained focus on his work.
The composed stoic scientist looked around at the abandoned buildings and vandalized properties. This exit from his lab was situated in a ghostly part of the southern city so he didn't get any annoyances of people prying around it. Damn, he still couldn't stop thinking about that voice now. He lifted his arm and gazed at the watch on his exposed wrist between a leather glove and coat cuff. He did have an internal clock but this act was more of a habit. He still had an hour before the appointed meeting but the small tug from St.Vier had made him want to arrive prematurely. He looked up with the point of his mask erected at the discolored sky. "Suppose I'll make haste.". A blink of light momentarily made itself known behind some clouds, that was where his hidden transport was - a preferred method of travel since the ground sometimes proved to be more than a hindrance. With a quick shimmer, the man disappeared up into his ship.
- - -
He arrived quite early, which was unusual for him. Vol preferred to be on the dot as he hated wasting time. He appeared out of nowhere, leaving his mask back on the ship, he stood a little away from the entrance to Guilty Pleasure starting with one eye. The name alone was fitting to his purpose inside the building. He almost laughed at the admittance to that but gave it no further thought as he looked at the guardless door. No security? You must be joking. His senses picked up mild chaos within and he considered the lack of guard was probably momentary. With calculating thoughts he strode forward in a dark grey open chested suit that revealed some bio marks on his skin, his thick black hooded cloak rested on his shoulders as of course he didn't go outside without it and it swayed in the slight wind. He pushed open the door with a white leather gloved hand and melted inside the unpleasant crowd.
His white eye locked onto the location of St.Vier. Being this close was easy to track him with their connection. A club servant came over to offer assistance but Vol just ignored him and made a b-line towards his purpose for being here and entered the private room. He noticed someone also walk inside ahead of him.
He soon followed and the moment he entered he locked his eye on St.Vier who was clearly salty from Vol's ignorance. Good. The scientist made a copy of that expression in his mental library, it was a nice one. Vol halted a little away from the table and observed the bodies in the room with crossed arms. "Impatient as always, St.Vier." he played a small smile on his lips before fixing his gaze on the other creature who owned this establishment. Vol was usually well informed of big name creatures so he did know who this beast was. Though he didn't like coming out of his shadows too often so he wasn't used to calculating eyes staring at him, he hadn't met Jean-Claude formally, only by name. So he was a vampire? He had seen many of these and experimented deeply since these creatures had been around for as long as he could remember. Though this one seemed slightly different but he couldn't put his finger on what. He gave a few judgmental seconds of staring at the man's heavy presence before closing the gap and respectfully introducing himself with an outstretched hand "Volithious Du'Mon Teufel. Pleasure to meet you." he couldn't hide the corner of his lip from rising at the sudden curious desire to put this creature in his lab. Perhaps he could gain more benefits from coming here in person after all.

The red head relaxed upon seeing the wolf was unharmed, although he could tell the other was on the verge of passing out. Their little stunt seemed to take what little energy Aidyn had left, the wolf staggering around on his paws. Nero reached out, gently petting the other's head when Aidyn whined. He started looking around, trying to find some place they could hide and hopefully give Aidyn the chance to shift back.
And it seemed they needed to find that hiding place quick. The male tensed up, glancing over his shoulder as he heard a rather commanding voice tell security to seek out the cause of the chaos. Nero felt his heart rate pick up as he heard the same voice give his description. This was bad, they were looking for him specifically. He started searching around frantically, hearing the wolf's growl. It seemed Aidyn had picked up on that as well.
The small scavenger picked up the large wolf despite the protest in his body and quickly ducked into a random door, closing it behind them. He set the other down, making sure the door was locked before collapsing onto the floor. He was finally out of adrenaline and energy, exhaustion sweeping over him quickly. The red head curled up, wrapping his arms around himself. He shivered slightly before looking at the wolf. "You gotta find a way to shift back, or we are in some deep s**t." The male's eyes slowly closed, no longer able to keep them open nor have the energy to do anything except lay in a ball on the floor. His hunger pangs were gone now, and the scavenger knew he was starving now.

Security began to fan through the room at Jean-Claude’s order. There was a certain frenzy to their movements; they were aware that Jean-Claude himself should never have been involved before they had been. Something had gone wrong in the working of the club.
Jean-Claude was not an unreasonable person to work for. Hewas generally reliable; generally paid, which was something of a rarity in the post-apocalyptic world, and seemed to prefer to keep on the same workers if possible rather than allowing them to die or starve to death like so many on the streets of Ozymandias. Compared with much of the city, Guilty Pleasures was downright lux. None of them were eager to push their luck.
So it was that they moved around just shy of rudeness, getting a little too handsy with a customer or two that were wearing hats or had red hair.
None of them were quite riled enough, however, to search the club’s private rooms, where enterprising customers could take the club’s slaves and workers to be alone.

Security fanned through the club, and with some minor irritation Jean-Claude returned to the small, semi-enclosed room he’d left St. Vier in.
The picture those inside made was somewhat different from when he’d left, but not radically so.
Linneus knelt on the floor, not touching St. Vier (carefully so? Jean-Claude wasn’t sure. Linneus was difficult to read, as slaves went), carefully petting the dog at the other man’s feet.
He opened his mouth to comment on the change of position when another figure entered the room.
Meant as it was for two, perhaps three figures (one dancing or ‘performing,’ one or two on the provided booth settee), the addition brought the room closer to ‘cramped.’ Nonetheless, he didn’t budge an inch for the new arrival, looking him over carefully while aware the other was doing the same.
He’d never met this scientist that St. Vier had invited to his establishment, but most were welcome at Guilty Pleasures, as long as they didn’t interfere with his personal property and followed the house rules. Usually having a friend in common would have loosened Jean-Claude’s guard. But considering who the ‘friend’ was--and considering the caveats St. Vier had given him when the other man had said meeting in Jean-Claude’s club would be ‘safe enough’? Well.
He took the man’s outstretched hand in his own firmly, hesitation notwithstanding. He wasn’t going to be skittish in his own territory.
”Jean-Claude. A pleasure” he responded smoothly. Something in the man’s eyes unnerved him, and he used the hand still holding the other’s to guide him forward toward the booth, letting go with a mild flourish.
It wasn’t until they weren’t touching anymore that he added ”Our mutual friend tells me there is much to be gained from your acquaintance.”

Aidyn Frost Mercenary | Red Barron's Dog | Wolf Demon
Cut you open and make you sick Suffer, suffer, suffer like I did ≠
The unexpected sensation of being picked up like a child snapped the wolf out of whatever haze he'd allowed himself to enter into. He lacked the energy to move against it, obviously, and gave no resistance until the two were "safely" within what looked to be an empty private room.
It was unpleasant to watch the boy grow so weak, something he hadn't seen often with the reasonably fed crew that made up the raiders he allied himself with. Frankly, he couldn't relate as he gazed down at curled up boy.
"We're already in deep s**t idiot." The wolf growled in a likely unexpectedly understandable language to the red haired boy. Yes, it was the common language rather than the various sounds of the canine predator.
This caught Aidyn off guard himself, but before he could even react a rush of dizziness engulfed him. Vision grew dark and a great heaviness came over Aidyn as he lost his footing and toppled over in the direction of the starving boy. It was in the moments following that the unconscious wolf would slowly shift back. Limbs elongated and reformed back into their usual shapes while fur seemed to dissipate as if it were never even there.
This wasn't the most convenient place to take a nap, but it was sure as hell better than out where the search party was.

Where: Gulity Pleasures With: Aidyn and a lot of other people Feeling: unconscious OOC:
The red head laid where he had landed, no longer having the energy for anything. He felt weak and dizzy, definitely not the best things to feel when in an unfamiliar place. But they were feelings the male had grown used to, how many times had he run himself ragged just trying to survive? He had lost count of that a long time ago.
Hearing the wolf speak surprised the red head and he looked up just as the other collapsed and fell unconscious. He watched Aidyn slowly shift back to normal, and for some reason, that seemed to calm the red head a little. If Aidyn knew this place, then they had a better chance of the situation changing now that he was back to normal.
The scavenger tried to move a little closer to the other, to check if he was okay. But the slightest movement made the smaller male extremely dizzy and he followed suit after the demon, collapsing where he was and falling unconscious.
