quote]SHOOT FOR THE STARS, BABY Troll Name: Keionx Rutace Trying for Ticket?: Yep
Keionx wasn't quite sure what to make of the strange booth... pair. But she approached anyway, and decided to give it a go.
”Good evening...” she said cautiously to the seadweller behind the space booth. Ei looked familiar – very familiar, and she vaguely remembered something about... was it Old Hemisect? Yes. Back then. ”I would like to join your team.”
Oh if only she had known what that would entail.
Keionx was – even when she doubted herself – a hero, a creature of mostly brawn and some brain. This was an engine. Keionx could not build an engine. She stared at the parts, frowning deeply before looking pleadingly at the stars (and at her teammates). What had she gotten herself into, she wondered.
But a hero never quit, and she was at least trying to be a hero, and some part of her sort of wanted to see where this would go.
So, on a whim, she started to stick parts together that looked like they might go and hoped for the best...
And to her slightly terrified and awed surprise, it worked. It actually worked. Maybe this had a meaning to it. Maybe she could be just that amazing. Maybe she could do this.

Quote: WHAT DO YOU DO WITH A DRUNKEN SAILOR?Troll Name: Atiqua Cifica Trying for Ticket?: yis Oh man this bloodfest was by far the best bloodfest ever and she was over the moons about it. Ships. Ships all over. Space ones, water ones, air ones- all sorts of ships. She was dead. This was troll paradise for her. Trollvana. Walking towards the troll who manned the ship booth in a daze she slammed a hand down and whispered. " You are a wonderful troll and may you never be culled." That said, still in her daze, Atiqua sent her ship to the water, watching it over the edge, feelings of... was it glee in her pump biscuit? Maybe that was gas but in either case- The second it hit the wall she gasped, rushing over to remove it and coddle her ship.

Ancient_Guardian Congratulations! You were the only non-staff player to roll an 8 on Trusci's team! Trusci called out the name of the most successful member of her team. "We're on our way to victory," she told Hazmas smugly. He could keep up the good work! PeanutButterpies Congratulations! No one rolled an 8 on Dictys' team, but you came the closest with your 5! The people who'd elected to build spaceships weren't doing nearly as well as those building...well, seaships. It was fine, though - they'd pull through! Dictys called Klymen's name. "I hope this encourages you to perform better in future," ey said. KitsuneAura Well done! Your post was adorable and you'll receive the third ticket of the day! It was actually Trusci who called Lorata back to receive her consolation prize, even though the small seadweller hadn't been on her own team. "Dictys is a ****bag," she told her smugly. la la la we will open for day two momentarily

Quote: SHOOT FOR THE STARS, BABY Troll Name: Pragma Comsen Trying for Ticket?: YEE Walking back up to the booth, Pragma saluted the purpleblood behind it. Yesterday's attempt had not been as good as he thought it had been, but he would do better today! " Reporting for the task, sir! Hopefully I'll make it better today!" Setting to work the youth spent an exorbitant amount of time picking his materials, slotting the pieces into what he assumed were the appropriate spots, and making sure the glue set before moving on. Holding up the shiny contraption, Pragma couldn't have been more proud. Now this was much better.

OrionDeltaOmega whoops sorry for doublequote ;; Dictys watched in approval as an orangeblooded child cobbled together wings that looked much smoother than any of the engine attempts from the previous night. " Well done," ey nodded in approval. It looked like this one was good at making things, well, at least big. Perhaps he'd be of use in Dictys' future plans. Ey'd certainly keep an eye out! Surreptitiously ey stuck eir tongue out at Trusci. What? Ey was a growing troll.

Trusci tacked away at her typewriter. Having a booth at bloodfest was not only an exceptional opportunity to one up the seajerk stationed next to her, but it was also a chance to make connections. Learn more about other trolls. Bloodfest was surely going to attract a plethora of personality. Also she just dug the gossip.
Pulling the page out, covered in fresh ink, she placed it atop the stack of paper next to her as she watched some orangeblood walk up. Putting on a fresh smile, it quickly twitched into something annoyed as they immediately went to Dictys' side. Wait, had they come here before? She vaguely remembered them from the previous day; focus Trusci, focus!
Returning the equally immature gesture right back at em, Trusci huffed and went back to her writing. Yesterday had been spectacular—her team had been doing so well, before well, the highbloods that chose her side went and ******** it all up, but that was to be expected, ah—anyway the point was the night was still young, and surely her side would do just as well as it had the prior! With any luck, that greenblood and redblood would show up again; she especially hoped for the latter, that girl had some flair. They could get along quite nicely, Trusci liked to believe.
She would bide her time, and also put on some sunglasses to try and ignore the blinding ******** spotlights, seriously, were those even necessary?
"Enjoy it while you can, Glauci." Trusci huffed, flipping her scarf over her shoulder.

Quote: SHOOT FOR THE STARS, BABYTroll Name: Eostre Diazzi Trying for Ticket?: Yep!
Here was Eostre yet again, to suck up to the seadweller because she needed better connections in her life, especially if she wanted to be a spy for royalty. She didn't know a thing about building airship wings, but how hard could it be if other children made these things all the time? She picked up some pieces and began to build. Too bad she knows nothing of aerodynamics and everything about elegance.

Quote: WHAT DO YOU DO WITH A DRUNKEN SAILOR?Troll Name: Lorata Gorgos Trying for Ticket?: yes! Lorata had considered not coming back to the booth at all, because if Dictys was going to sabotage her then ey didn't deserve the honor of having her on eir team at all, but she'd found herself wandering back anyway. To the other side of the booth this time, though, where there were things way more interesting than stupid spaceship engines. Besides, the yellowblood in charge there had seemed to understand the way of things. She'd thank her for the ticket by joining her team instead!
She got to work on her sails without even deigning to glance in her fellow seadweller's direction, and could not be more pleased to find that this task was going along much better than yesterday's had. She guessed it helped when people weren't giving you bad equipment. Sniffing disdainfully at the very thought, she finished up, checked it over for any mistakes (there were none, of course), and presented it to Trusci. She beamed as the yellowblood noticed how good it was.
"I knew joining your team was the better option after all," she announced decidedly, clasping her hands together excitedly as she looked over the prizes she'd been offered. She considered a moment, but her eyes kept drifting back to the bobbleheads. She grabbed one of Trusci herself."I think I want this one!"

Quote: WHAT DO YOU DO WITH A DRUNKEN SAILOR?Troll Name: Hazmas Pochim Trying for Ticket?: Yes Hazmas tilted his head and scratched his scalp. As much as he loved clothes, he really sucked at making things with fabric. He tried adjusting it a bit, only to return it to its original position with a disgruntled growl. He was so frustrated, he couldn't even think of a neat design to make this flapping rag of a sail!
"Goley boley, maybe I shoulda just stuck with engines," he muttered, fiddling with his mast as miniature starships zoomed through the air on the other side of the booth. It looked like a lot of fun, actually, putting wings and engines on those models. Hazmas looked down at his ship and tilted his head.
'Y'know... this would look pretty good with wings," he thought, lifting it out of the water. 'I bet when the event's over, I could make somethin' cool outa those and this. I mean, all the left overs aren't gonna be used by anyone, right?'

Quote: SHOOT FOR THE STARS, BABY Troll Name: Keionx Rutace Trying for Ticket?: Yes Right... so... um... Aerodynamics. Keionx stared at the materials in front of her, stumped.
Well...
Odette had air powers, right? And how did she deal with them? She was small (but tall) and lightweight. Clearly that was what she had to do here.
Eventually it was just her, metal shavings, and... nothing really at all. She glared at it... and muttered a few words, just below troll hearing, that Beastdad would have been horrified to hear coming out of her mouth... Stupid spaceships.

Quote: WHAT DO YOU DO WITH A DRUNKEN SAILOR? Troll Name: Aerona Scrall Trying for Ticket?: NO "Whoops!" Aerona had cut out waaaay too much of this fabric. What a shame! Being aerodynamic was... Well... You know. She buzzed her lips and attempted to at least make something out of it, but it just turned into her symbol. At least she didn't really put the pirates behind or anything! Aerona scratched her head and turned to Trusci. "Sorry about that..." She shrugged.

So maybe Lorata was a highblood, but it looked like she at least was a cool one. Trusci offered her a high five as she retrieved the bobblehead for her temporary ally. " Well done, Pragma," Dictys told the orangeblood who'd come out a second time for em. Perhaps Team Spaace wasn't excelling like ey'd hoped, but it was doing better tonight at least than it had the previous night. And tonight, fortunately, Dictys was able to grab the final ticket before Trusci did. " I'll admit you've got style, Eostre...perhaps that'll help you out tomorrow night." It looked like her plan was working well for her.

Quote: SHOOT FOR THE STARS, BABY Troll Name: Pragma Comsen Trying for Ticket?: yae Pragma wasn't entirely sure what it was that he created. He knew he had did the thing, but wasn't sure if the thing was done the way it was supposed to be did. If that made sense. Awkwardly, the young troll held the image up for the purpleblood to tell him what he thought. ((my computer couldn't download the blingee program and my photoshop was being poopy so i made the thing in powerpoint. hope it's okay!))
