Korvain winced as Katie blew smoke in his face. He wondered why she insisted on behaving like this - it was so unbecoming of her. He backed away from her, smiling at her "Trust me... I'm willing to put in the effort - and I'm not going to lose interest in you either. I'm not sure what kind of guys you've been with before, but I'm nothing like them."
The dark elf felt aroused as Katie touched him... He gazed deeply into her eyes. "No... Last night was more than just sex, Katie - at least it was for me. I could feel a true, deep connection between not only our bodies, but our hearts and souls as well." he then gently brushed her hair out of her face with his hand "It was like nothing I've ever experienced." One could tell from the look in his eyes that he was being honest - that he had felt more than just lust.
"Strangely enough, I think the Chinese restaurant is open this early." not to mention, it sounded pretty good to him.
When asked, Korvain picked out an outfit for Katie that he thought she would like, but then again, he was no fashionista. He picked out a black shirt, a pair of tight black jeans that would look good with it, and a white jacket, along with socks, panties, and a bra. "So, what would you like to eat?" he asked, handing the clothes to Katie.

Katie rolled her eyes. "Such words for this day and age. You must write poetry or something." If it wasn't for her lazy ways, she would of pointed out that the pants weren't even ironed, but she didn't even care at that point. "We should take a belly dancing class together and we could be partners and after we're all hot and sweaty we could do it in the sauna." Katie explained her fantasy to him while moving her hands. She put on the clothes and avoided her shoes, not wanting to leave yet. "We should just have those people deliver.." Katie flopped down on her bed and stared at the ceiling, the poster up there was of a Buddha with a pot leaf in the center of his belly.

"For this day and age?" asked Korvain. "My dear, now matter how superficial the age we live in may be, true love and compassion never go out of style. And yes, I do write a little poetry here and there."
Korvain closed his eyes, smiling as he pictured Katie's fantasy. "Mmm... I love that idea - it's very romantic. My knowledge of human dance is limited to traditional ballroom dancing, but I always love learning new things."
Korvain then laid down on the bed next to Katie, smiling as he noticed the poster on the ceiling. "Ahh - cannabis is such a versatile herb, with many beneficial properties... They even say that it can help to treat cancer and other diseases." Mr. Bhilani smoked pot occasionally himself - although he was far from being a stoner. He found it useful when he needed inspiration for his writing or his magical studies.
Korvain pulled out his phone and called the Chinese restaurant. He ordered some Mongolian beef - extra spicy and a bowl of hot and sour soup. He then handed the phone to Katie so she could order what she wanted. "Don't worry, I'll pay for everything."

Katie turned her head to Korvain, she'd caught him say 'human dance'. "Like you aren't human." She muttered, taking the phone. "I'd like some teriaki chicken as well as some low mein. Try not to get too many veggies in with it though. Also, put, like, twelve fortune cookies in there. Haha!" Katie smiled and told the guy where to deliver the food. She handed the phone back and turned over onto her side, staring at Korvain. "You sure know a lot.. So, you said something about it helping to cure cancer... Is that true?" For the first time she actually seemed serious and concerned slightly.

Korvain had overheard Katie's comment about him not being human... "Yes, I'm a Dunmer, or a 'dark elf' as they are known by outlanders... just in case the grey skin, pointed ears and red eyes didn't give it away."
When Katie turned onto her side, Korvain turned onto his side as well, facing her as he wrapped an arm around her. He couldn't help but notice the concern in her face when she asked about marijuana being used to treat cancer. "Yes, it is true in a way..." said Korvain, gazing into Katie's eyes. "There isn't any concrete proof yet, but research has found much promising evidence to marijuana's healing properties. Of course, the government and pharmaceutical companies are doing everything they can to discredit this research. If you don't mind me asking, why do you look so concerned? You don't... know somebody with cancer, do you?"

Katie gave him an annoyed look. "Body modifications, dude. People do crazy s**t." She allowed him the pleasure of wrapping an arm over her, but tried to focus on his lecture. "Don't they grow weed with specifically high THC levels? It's pot, c'mon, every teen gets curious about it at some point." That was her only answer to him asking if she knew anyone with cancer. Her mood had shifted to irritated. What if he found out? She didn't need pity or help from anyone. If the disease killed her, then that was that. But, something was always eating away at her fearlessness, it was the little doubt she had about weather or not she would be calm about dying or not. Just when she thought she had come to terms with her fate, she'd begin to freak out at every single detail pointing to her demise. It seemed simple to avoid such a fate; just get treatment. Her pride and her past kept her from ever considering it, besides she had no one to live for. Mr. Bhilani might argue this statement, but she knew better. He knew nothing about her and she wouldn't give in without a fight. Katie moved closer to Korvain and sighed. Maybe this man could be another distraction for her.

"Yes... with the right fertilizers and soils, the THC content can be increased exponentially." said Korvian. Smiling, he then added "I must admit, I smoke a little weed myself here and there - although not enough to be considered a 'pothead'."
As Katie moved closer to Korvain, he gently began to rub his hands up and down her back... He could tell from the look in her eyes that she was preoccupied with something. Then again, it always seemed like she was concerned about something. Korvain wished he knew what it was, so he could help her. "You look like something's troubling you, Katie." said Korvain softly "is everything all right, my dear? If there's ever anything upsetting you, please let me know. Your secrets are safe with me, and I'll help you any way I can."

Katie let herself give in to her desperate needs of wanting someone to hold her and treat her like she meant something. She leaned in and kissed Korvain on the cheek, then quickly put her head back to his chest. Katie denied feeling flustered and kept her face covered. "You're sweet. Just hold me and that'll be enough." She sighed again and let herself be embraced by the warmth of Korvain's body. If she ever had to imagine herself feeling so comfortable with someone, it never would have been with a teacher. Everything seemed content for the next few minutes that passed, then a knock at the door came and Katie was brought back to reality. She sat up and looked over at the door, she was still stuck in the moment and couldn't focus. Her brain told her to get the door, but her body wouldn't listen.

"Well, if you ever need to talk to me, I'm always here for you, Katie." said Korvain reassuringly. He then held onto her tightly, just enjoying the feel of her warm embrace. He gently pressed his lips to hers and kissed her.
A while later there was a knock at the door. Korvain was so comfortable he didn't want to get up... he just wanted to lay here next to Katie for all eternity. There was a second knock at the door followed by "Anyone home?"
"I'm coming!" said Korvain, a note of irritation in his voice as he forced himself to get up out of the bed. He answered the door, paying for the food and giving the delivery man a generous tip. He then set the boxes down on the table, smiling as the aroma of fresh-cooked food reached his nostrils "The food's here, Katie."

Katie got off the bed and went over to Korvain. She had to agree, the smell was delightful, enough to make her stomach jump. "Sweet! Let's eat, man." She took the box marked with the food contents she ordered and searched for a fork. Katie was never good at eating with chopsticks, so she would starve if she didn't have a fork to use. "Gottcha." She smirked, removing the plastic wrapping off the eating utensil. She marched back over to her bed and sat down on it crossed legged as she began to shovel the food into her mouth. As she became satisfied her quickness dimmed down and she ate normally.

Korvain sat down next to Katie on the bed, and began eating his food. He was delighted to find that his Mongolian beef was every bit as spicy as he expected it would be, and the hot and sour soup wasn't bad either. "So, Katie..." he said softly, smiling at her in between bites of food "Care to tell me a little about yourself?"

Katie looked up from her spoonful of chicken and noodles. "I.. Uh.. What do you want to know?" She took a bite and chewed, once her mouth was empty she spoke again. "My color is Maroon. I like to drink Smoothies. Favorite band.. Well, that's a tough one." Katie smiled and started eating again.

Korvain took another bite of his Mongolian beef, swallowing before he spoke. "Yes, it's difficult to have a favorite band in this day and age, when there are so many cultures with so many different forms of music - but recently, I've been listening to a lot of doom metal. You know, bands like My Dying Bride and Draconian."
After sitting there in silence for a while, enjoying his meal, Korvain turned to Katie, smiling at her "You know, Katie... you're the sweetest, kindest, most beautiful girl I've ever met - and I'm happy that I know you."

Katie set down her food and forced a smile. "You're such a fool. Mr. Bhilani, you don't know anything about me, yet you say you love me. It's my looks, huh? Well.. I can fix that." She got off the bed and went to her dresser. She removed a knife taped under the bottom of the top drawer and threatened to cut across her face. "Don't give me any bullshit about you knowing I'm a good person!! I'm not, okay?! You can't love me because I'm not a nice person!" Katie yelled at him and threw the knife down. Ire was clear on her face as she turned and went into the bathroom. "Get out." She grabbed a cigarette and lit one, taking a nice drag.

Korvain followed Katie into the bathroom, gently putting his hand on her shoulder... He gazed deeply into her eyes, fighting to hold back tears. "Katie..." he said softly "This isn't about your looks - there's something much deeper between us, and I know because I can feel it in my heart. All I want is to get to know you, and I'm not giving up so easily..." he then gently brushed the side of her face with his hand "When I look into your eyes, I can see so much pain deep down inside... Whatever you're going through, whatever life may have done to you - you don't deserve to go through it alone. You need someone there, by your side. You need me Katie... and I need you." he couldn't hold back any longer, and tears began to run down his face.
