'And how exactly is that any different than her usual line of thought?' "It was good; it gave Bolt a pretty good charge. Was fun to ride in, too," Skell answered, allowing himself to grin slightly as he recalled the thrill of riding the lightning and being one with the storm. Bloodbolt happily accepted the offer of fresh meat and started tearing into it like the bloodthirsty savage he was, making rather quick (and gory) work of it.

Stormburner gagged slightly from the sight of Bloodbolt eating. He turned away from the sight. Skyler nodded to what Skell said. "I'm going to assume your father already told you. I know how much you hate surprises." She said as she bent down to a small pond to wash off the blood from the hog.

"He did," Skell confirmed, secretly rather impressed that she'd remembered that, considering her unreasonable hostility toward him. "Probably a good thing, too - let's just say that the training grounds took a while to fix." A perfectly reasonable reaction, since he was still both skeptical about the whole idea and convinced that she was going to try and slit his throat in his sleep. Bloodbolt heard what his human said and grinned ferally, licking his lips free of blood; that incident was pretty fun to watch, even if the training dummies didn't bleed.

Skyler shrugged, "I would of liked to go to the training grounds but today the little kids are there to begin their training and as much as I like putty in the fear of god in to my men. I don't like scaring little kids. I rather much play with them but I wasn't in the playing mood at the time." she said .

Skell nodded. "Understandable," he agreed, internally noting the surreality of the situation; he couldn't think of a single conversation they'd had that was as civil as this one.

Skyler noticed Skell was surprised at how civil she was being. "Listen the only reason I act so hard and cold-hearted to you is because I had to. But now we're getting married to settle the fighting between our clan. I don't know about you but I rather not have to worry if I'm going to end up dying by your axe when I'm going to sleep." she said. Stormburner growled at that.

Skell blinked. "...Well, that makes things easier. To be brutally honest, I don't dislike you or anything, never did - I just found your 'hate-on-sight' attitude to be irritating, petty, and frankly a little childish," he answered bluntly, leaning back against a nearby tree lazily. Sure, if she hated him for his reputation, then he'd understand, but the first time they'd met was long before he'd gotten said reputation, and she'd hated him on sight (or at least seemed to) even then. Bloodbolt snickered in amusement at his human's words.

New New Evergreen Goblin Skell blinked. Skyler blinked at his description of her. "Skell, you do realize that the first time we met, we were little kids. At that age, I hated boys. It didn't matter at the time. Want to know why? Cause I'm a girl. Everyone pitied my father for having a daughter for an heir. I was so angry when I first saw you because you were what my father wanted. A strong boy able to take over the village. Then I turned to training and studying so that I can be the best. My village now knows me for my ability to take down men twice my size and outsmart the lot of them. Hating you was easy because our villages are rivals and are suppose to hate each other." the Viking girl said honestly seeing no point in lying. Stormburner got himself in to a pond. Skyler cleared her throat before saying, "And your reputation never really made me hate you. Only I guess I could say impressed and motivated me." She turned away from him to blush a little.

Skell blinked again, then turned a little pink himself at the implication behind her last sentence. "Oh... er, I see..." Cue awkward silence, since frankly he had no idea what to do in this situation. Bloodbolt rolled his eyes, licking his lips free of any remaining meat chunks. Really, why didn't they just mate already? Humans were weird...

Skyler blushed darker before saying, "Anyways, enough of this emotion s**t. I'm going to go find another hog to bring home for dinner." The Viking girl quickly walked away from the two. "You can stay in the pond, Stormburner." She called out. Stormburner laughed to himself over how weird the two humans were acting. Why all the confusion over mating?

Skell shrugged. "Well, no reason for her to have all the fun. Bolt, you stay behind - you'd just eat the boar." With that, he went off to hunt as well, a small smile on his face as he pulled out his dual axes and kept them at the ready.

Skyler quietly got in to position to drop down on the large boar. She had already pulled out her dagger. Her ears caught a sound behind her though. The Viking girl looked back and noticed Skell. Motioning to him, Skyler did the universal sign for keep quiet. She quietly moved the leaves so that he could see the boar from where he was. Skyler got ready to jump on the boar. Stormburner settled down in the pond for a nap. He said to BloodBolt, ' Do you think they will able to handle hunting together?' the water dragon asked.

"Obviously; my human's there, after all," Bloodbolt answered matter-of-factly. "They should be fine as long as they don't get distracted by mating or anything."Skell nodded ever-so-slightly, eyes pinned to the boar as he watched its every move, waiting in the brush in case something went wrong with her attempt to jump the thing.

Storm sighed before nodding his head, 'Tell me when they come back.' he said before closing his eyes for a nap. Skyler took a deep breath before jumping on top of the boar. The boar squealed then started to buck. Skyler grunted trying to hold steady. She cursed when she lost her grip on her dagger. The boar got ready to run. So the Viking girl took hold of it's ears and tilted it in the direction she wanted it to go. "Get ready, Skell!" she shouted as the boar charged at the young man. Skyler held on to the boar as it ran at Skell.

Skell waited until the boar was in range; just as it seemed like it was about to run him over or impale him on its tusks, there was a flash of silver, the sound of metal cleaving through flesh and bone, and the boar came to an abrupt halt, throwing Skyler off its back; fortunately, Skell had anticipated that and caught Skyler bridal-style. Now that she wasn't hanging on for dear life, the reason for the boar's sudden stop became abundantly clear - after all, there wasn't much that could survive having its front legs cleaved off and an axe embedded in its forehead. "You okay there? That looked like a bit of a rough ride," Skell noted to the girl in his arms.
