Haini smiled at him and scuffed her paws on the floor awkwardly. She nodded her head a few times, though it took her a moment to have her words catch up to her brain. She almost wondered if she had forgotten how to speak for a moment there.
"I would not think that was forward at all, if you don't. I think I would like to continue getting to know you very much, actually." She spoke softly, shrinking a bit but at least keeping her gaze steady and on him, not dropping it away.
"I-If you don't mind coming to join my clan with me."
Haini knew that she was lonely, and that though she was always around other lions, this was the first time she had really managed to talk to someone and click with them in an easy way. Sure, she was still paranoid about being stupid, and she was constantly embarrassed, but even that felt okay, and like something she would not mind having be a more constant part of her life.
She sat up a bit straighter, watching him and smiling warmly, tail flicking in the grass, her muscles coiled in her excitement.

Once Haini gave him her answer, he nodded in agreement. He had no problems switching clans, and even looked forward to it. The Wolf clan was lovely, of course, and he had nothing against the lions in it, but changing his scenery a bit as far as faces went would be nice, and he'd start off with an acquaintance. "I don't. The Earth clan, wasn't it?" he murmured, two-tone eyes flicking off to the other lions. He'd need to figure out who to consult to change clans...perhaps that large fellow who had been placing the newcomers into clans a bit earlier in the week. Turning his gaze back to Haini, he was surprised at her posture. She looked tense, but not in a bad way, like she was waiting to pounce on a big, fat, slow zebra. It brought a hint of a smile to his lips again, and he nodded slightly. "You must promise to introduce me to your clan, though. I had a hard time getting to know everyone in the Wolf clan. Do you have family? Brothers and sisters, parents?" He figured getting to know them would be easiest since they would know Haini better than any of the other members.

Haini shook her head.
"I do have family here, but I haven't seen them in a while. I don't know how many of them are still here or not, actually. I sort of became a bit of a loner... I think it's because I'm normally very shy..."
She shuffled her paws again bashfully, hoping she didn't sound too pathetic.
"I will introduce you to everyone I can, though! And maybe we can just meet others together. I mean, if neither of us really know many other lions here, it seems like a good chance for both of us to uhm... I mean..."
She smiled at him, brightly this time, because she felt like she was making good suggestions, and that it was a good idea. It would be nice to get to know others, that was for sure. If they were nice like he was, though she had a feeling that he was going to be her favorite. She was not going to say that out loud, though, in case he got weirded out and opted to leave.

Zuberi nodded just a bit, not finding her at fault for being alone. He was in a similar boat, having left his family behind for a better life elsewhere. He had found it, thankfully, and perhaps some day he'd have a family of his own to help raise. "That does sound like a good idea," he agreed, shifting slightly as he glanced around. "I think it will be easier to meet new lions if you're not alone. I should probably figure out who I need to talk to to switch clans," he added, turning back to Haini. "I shall go and figure that out now. Where is it your clan gathers to return to the rotation?" He needed to know where to meet her once he confirmed he could change, and finding her again in all these lions by chance would be nothing short of a miracle.

Haini smiled brightly and bounced on her paws. She quickly told him where to meet her again, and hoped he would have no trouble switching clans to be with her. Be with her? Near her. Obviously. Was what she meant to think.
Be near her. And friends. Obviously.
What?
She smiled at him and skittered closer, giving him a quick rub before fleeing back and looking sheepish but sweet. She swished her tail behind her, eyes shimmering with her excitement.
"I look forward to seeing you again soon! I'll show you my den and my favorite spots and everything!"

Haini's excited energy and quick brush against him made Zuber's cheeks heat up a little. He watched her for a moment, her smile infectious, and nodded with a smile of his own. "It sounds like a plan. See you soon," he said, turning away with a swish of his tail. His face returned to the set, stern one that was his default. He was on a mission now, and when he was on a mission, he was serious.
