Why do they wish to join this branch?: Her family moved to Port Royal when she was young. She wasn't interested in becoming a proper young lady, and instead followed her love of adventure and of the sea. She was cast out of her home and joined a band of pirates, looting Templar ships. Not long after, her family was taken and killed, and even though they didn't part ways on the nicest of terms, Abigale wants to avenge her family and protect others from the Templars.
