"That's no problem. Just try and keep your head down. I wouldn't want to take your head off from a stray shot." Lobo had quite the aim when sober. When he was drunk did his shots seem to hit almost everything except the expected target. The last thing he wanted was to shoot Ivy by mistake, even for a homicidal maniac such as himself that was unacceptable. While Ivy was busy giving him the details he helped himself to a beer that was in his coat pocket. Cranking open the can and downing it all in one gulp the bounty hunter belched out seconds later after consuming the warm tasting beverage. The thought of tossing the can to the ground was quickly shunned since mother Earth herself stood right in front of him. Probably should...recycle this. Whatever that meant, he had heard the word before something about reusing items. It was hogwash to him since he didn't nessecarily care about the enviroment. "We can take the Spazz Frag 5000 there...I should have more than enough firepower and explosives to blow a hole to Earth's mantle so we are good." He reached for his inner coat pocket and then pulled out a cigar and expelled a single match. It wasn't long before he was puffing away waiting for Ivy's next set of instructions.

User Image[[Sooo sorry for the delay, here you go dear.]]

Ivy smiled at his words and nod, ”—Don’t sweat it, I should be alright…” not that she imagined he really did, or perhaps it just came with the assumed territory that a guy who causes the genocide of their own people have a soft spot for the wellbeing of others. Overall they weren’t very different, she had wanted to cause the genocide of the human race, the only difference, he had succeeded, didn’t mean she was bad at it, perhaps she just had room for a few nagging soft spots, like Harley Quinn, and Taco night. Lobo’s manners didn’t seem to bother the Flora, he was showing her plenty of respect by not torching the place out right, especially when she first had his original bounty prize all the weeks prior. When she saw the smashed can in his clutches, she reached for the trashcan. While the concept of recycling was a noble one, it was just like sweeping the mess under the rug, it never exactly took care of the problem, just hid it, and she had little time to go through the trouble of recycling herself, not when she could simply eradicate the human race off the face of the earth. Taking a time from her tireless pacing, she collapsed back onto the plush green sofa, slender arms draped over the top, legs crossed over one another, wild copper red hair, as tangled and twisted with leaves as the vines that coiled up her perfect build, ”—Sounds good, your ride might be a little less conspicuous then mine…” certainly a flying space hog was more noticeable then a cherry red convertible, but the guards looked for cars, not flying aliens on motorcycles. ”—From there, I’ll get my trinket, you can keep the ill equipped guards busy, and we’ll be out before you know it!” she hadn’t planned to stay in Arkham long, the place always did things to her, she never liked it.

"We can leave whenever you want to. Lobo stood up from his seat and reached for his belt making sure all of his gear was on hand. He wasn't like Superman or the Martian. There was no lasers or telepathy. What you saw was what you got. With only his brawn and a chain did Lobo gain and maintain his notorious rep through the galaxy. Being immortal helped as well. A cigar found it's way back into his mouth as his space hog, the Spazz Frag 3000 zoomed onto the balcony at the back.
The Czarnian motioned for Ivy to follow him. He had the Spazz Frag booby trapped unless his features had gained access first. It wouldn't look good on his record to have his client maimed due to his carelessness.

[[No problem, I haven’t been on much myself :} ]]

When he seemed ready to head out, she smiled, eyes softening a warm shade of cypress green, ”—Perfect,” reaching for the shoulder bag beside the couch, she dropped in a map, and a few other distractions of her own, toxic pellets and the like if she ran into any issues. The final addition was a petite, but ultimately lethal looking crossbow that fit secured along a cuff on her wrist, the bolts decorating a second cuff on the opposing wrist. Less noisy and effective enough for single quarry combat when in places like Arkham that seemed to suck the life from her the deeper she ventured, she was prepared, and by the looks of things, so was Lobo. Readying herself she caught quick heady glance towards the large Merc, another thing in common…like he, she was immortal…ageless like the tree, indeed she too could be destroyed, killed through fire mostly…but Ivy didn’t seem to age like the rest of the world, both a blessing and a curse. Fully equipped with everything she could possibly need, she hurriedly followed after Lobo, planting herself on his bike, slender arms about his middle to keep from falling off. ”—We can enter however you like, from the front or the back…where I need to go is towards the back, so maybe we can park it there?” she questioned, already prepared for what was to come.

Lobo had all the gear he needed with him. Lumbering over to his Space Hog 3000, his chalk white fingers flipped a series of switches in order causing the fusion engines to ignite. The Space Hog rumbled up starting before the bounty hunter and his boss shot out into the dark knight sky. Lobo was too busy steering the Hog to be able to pay any real attention to what Gotham looked like at night. He really only cared about finishing the job and getting paid.

At night Arkham Asylum looked even creepier than the day time, not that he was scared of it. Just the vibe of going into a looney bin wasn't quite his style. The bike swooped down towards the back of the facility or what he considered it to be. The place seemed to be on a pennisula which helped. Parking the bike behind a series of debris and bushes, it was well hidden from any prying eye unless you knew where it was.

"Stealth isn't really my thing. It'd be better if you snuck in and right when you're about there I cause a diversion up by the front gates..that should give you more than enough time to grab that device or whatever it is." He looked over his mounted machine gun that was strapped to his forearm making sure he had enough rounds to leave an impression. The few grenades he had in his coat pocket would suffice just in case anything really bad happened.

Lobo looked over at Ivy, if what he had heard about the lady was true then she would be just as committed as him at the job. Still there was nothing wrong with trying to be on the same page. Set backs really pissed Lobo off. Nothing angered more him than back tracking due to failure. It was one of the reasons why he preferred working solo, but this job wasn't like most.

The irony had escaped the chalk white bounty hunter. Breaking into an asylum was the last thing he ever wanted to do, more so with a lady whom had spent more than her fair share of time here. For whatever reason, she didn't seem all that 'psychotic'. Maybe it was just the fact that she was paying him but Ivy didn't seem nearly half as crazy as him. It was just the moderate obsession with plants that crept him out. Not like he really gave a damn as long as he got paid.

Standing parallel away from her, Lobo wanted to make sure things were clear. Getting his payment docked was something he really didn't want.

The Last Czarnian

Across the city they went, swiftly and out of sight, besides flying red eye on a plane into Gotham City Airport, Ivy had never seen the city at this height…naturally lacking flying capabilities. While she preferred keeping her roots on the ground, she had to say she didn’t mind it. Before long, just as she planned, they made it to the Asylum, sweeping right over the heads of the guards below on duty who kept their eyes retained on the roads for oncoming cars looking to get in. After she climbed off his bike, nitpicking only a brief moment over her appearance, she’d answer him promptly, ”—Sounds good,” reaching in her bag, she removed a two way comm link, placing one bud neatly in her ear hidden behind a fall of wild ruby hair. The second she’d hand over to Lobo, ”—Wear it or don’t, just keep it handy…I’ll let you know when I’m close to snatching my trinket up…” she advised, normally she’d have more impressionable ways of signaling her compatriots, usually plant related…but with the way Arkham worked on her…more technological methods were promising. Truth it was, just as Lobo suspected, Ivy was sane…the problem, she was a meta-human, a danger to society…no prison could hold her, and so in order to protect mankind they had kept her in the only place she couldn’t escape without help…and she was walking right back into it. Reaching for the map she’d placed in her bag, she quickly glanced over it, draping it over her arm like it was a mock table. ’—Alright…we are here, and I need to go there…’ memorizing the view of the map one last time, she folded it accordingly into her bag, and gave him one last fierce look, ”—See you on the flipside…” she was confident, this would work…Demeter’s core wasn’t just some little bauble she had thought about picking up just yesterday…it had been an item she had researched and dreamed about, she would acquire it, and Lobo would acquire his money…he was the last person she wanted to piss off. In a moment, she had waved at him, and then was gone…moving into the interior of the building with a forged ID, with passcodes, another gift from a certain flightless bird with endless connections.

The interior of Arkham, was just how she remembered it, cold, dank and lifeless in parts, sure some of it appeared like your typical sterile brightly lit hospital, topside….for appearances; but no one often saw the deeper parts of the system, the parts where they kept her locked away, sharing a hall with the likes of Joker, Clayface, Scarecrow, and Killer Croc; That’s where they kept the real baddies, the meta-humans, the flesh eaters…anyone they couldn’t control. But that wasn’t the level she needed, the second lower level was desired…mid-level patients, Two Face, Harley, Zsasz, the mad Hatter, penguin before he came ‘clean’ this was the level most people saw, cases where the criminals could be re-habilitated, no doubt like they were animals. Huffing slightly, she slid against the wall, allowing two guards to pass down the area she had come from, thankfully they were not hyped…there hadn’t been a break in…Lobo had been smart…she’d have to thank him for the suggestion later. Taking one last confirming glance at the large double doors before her, she smiled, when the map boast correctly what she suspected…Warden Sharp’s so called ‘treasure room’. Switching the node on the comm link when she noticed the halls were clear, she spoke up… ”—Lobo, I’m in…that distraction would be great about now,” she’d read the books, done her research…she knew exactly where to look, and with all of it being secret…Sharp would have never seen her coming…

Lobo heard her loud and clear. Raising his mounted machine gun up towards a gate, he began firing down rounds at the guards below. The loud noise of machine gun rounds going off was sure to catch the attention of more than just a few guards. Luckily he came prepared bringing with him a series of poison tear gas grenades, the type that were banned in numerous parts of the galaxy.
Whatever Ivy was doing she had a much bigger window in order to take care of her business.
Perched on the roof, the Czarnian hailed bullets at anything that seemed to move. That was before he seemingly ran out of ammo. The clinging emptiness of his chamber and smoke sizzling from the barrel of his gun left a nice satisfying feeling.
Bullet holes were riddled all over the front gate with scattered bodies all over. In the chaos he could hear the guards yelling at one another trying to figure out what was going on and who was attacking. Whatever the lady was up to Lobo hoped in was worth the time. The last thing he wanted was the Dark Knight to show up, especially know since he was probably more than likely prepared the alien bounty hunter. "You almost done?...I have shaked and baked for the moment."

Settled firmly against the wall, she watched as a set of guards standing station by the Warden’s special Gallery charged out past her, unseeing of the floras whereabouts, at their hips the radio crackled noisily barking out a disturbance at the front Gates, gunfire, heavy gunfire. Without time to lock the door, they hurried away, allowing Ivy easy access. Passing rows upon rows of ancient documents and golden artifacts that would make Catwoman’s toes curl in delight over a chance to snatch up each and every one of them, Ivy went straight for the back right corner. Secluded in its own glass casing was an oddly rotund columnesque chunk of Petrified wood, glowing with a strange orange, and molten brown yellowish hue, as she neared it. All around its top and base were carved ancient runes she had recalled seeing in books she had studied, this was certainly it. Sparing no expense on time, she shattered the glass, and snatched the prize, tucking it away in her shoulder bag, quickly hurrying out…no need to snatch anything for her Bounty Hunter friend…he had hard cash waiting back at the Botanical Garden, ”—On my way out now…” she uttered over the comm link, dashing back through the cvorridors, by now her skin…that had formerly started to take on a green sickly color, to her bodice that had slowly shift to colors of orange and yellow, had recovered healthy and lush just as she had always been, the core already doing its work even without encantations…she felt her heart swell…it couldn’t get more perfect. SLAM went the door as she burst out the back, hurrying to where Lobo’s bike was concealed, ”—I got it, lets get the hell out of here!” she chimed, already climbing aboard the bike once he popped back on. To help slow the pursuit, Ivy reached for a handful of seed pods, porous and geneticvally altered to split on impact, spitting out a toxic fog shedding out paralization and halluciniations to any who came in contact with it, stalling several guards allowing them ample time to escape into the sky away from the chaos…

Ivy could hear his lumbering foot steps as he ran towards his bike. Jumping in the air he landed on his bike and immediately started the Spazz Frag. They were on the clock now but thanks to Lobo's reckless shooting a number of inmates and psychotics were getting loose. It was the perfect cover for them from the cops and from the Dark Knight had he decided to interfere.

Within seconds they were blasting off into the night sky. With the possibility of being followed, Lobo took the longer more scenic route. Despite having alien top notch security features, being followed home was very amautur move to make and for Lobo would very well get his payment docked.

Flying over the city limits Lobo became much more confident that they weren't being followed. He started to decrease their speed and altitude before coming to a near and complete stop right outside her Botanical Garden. The thought of being paid was making the bounty hunter quite happy but after a stunt like that, being discreet was more than needed. This realization quickly killed his mood somewhat. Lobo had planned on going to a bar or possibly a whore house just to start his night, but with his...unique features it would definitely call the attention of the authorities or someone far worst. For him it seemed like he'd be staying put for the next few days.

Satisfied with how the heist went, the way it was covered, and the way he seemed to help keep their tracks covered, she continued holding onto him, one hand gently patting the core that hummed in her bag, warmth flooding in and out in waves as it begged to be used after such a long drawn out sleep in the hands of those who knew not its properties. At their backs, the now chaos driven Arkham, and before them the way home. Before long they would have landed outside the Gardens, Ivy would have climbed off patting her bag lovingly once more, ”—I know thank you comes in the form of cold hard cash, but I also wanted to thank you personally, this…this means a lot to me, thank you…” stepping onto her tip toes, she planted a chaste kiss on his pale cheek, then turned on heel moving towards the entry of the building, the vine covered doors opening with a simple wave of her hand, the Czarnian’s room was still setup off towards the back, and calmly she would wave towards it, invitingly, setting the bag for now on the sofa, she moved towards the safe, emptying the agreed amount into the briefcase, and carried it out, setting it on the small coffee table before the sofa while she glanced over at him, ”—You can count it if you want, its all there…” she promised, already removing the artifact from her bag, and moving into her lab. ”—Beers in the fridge if you’re interested, harder liquor in the lower kitchen cabinet…” she instructed, trying to be as accommodating as she could be.

Getting paid always put the Main Man in a good mood. But right then and there he felt very good. Happy to get his full payment Lobo wasn't sure what next Ivy had planned for next or if he was needed still. The kiss had caused him to slightly blush, something that he hadn't experienced for quite sometime now.

Ever since he had been on Earth, Lobo was met by stares and on a few occasions gun point (you'd be surprised by how many people didn't like meta-humans or aliens). But this was quite accommodating to him. The Czarnian sat there looking over his pile of cash after taking out a few beers. He had planned upon going out to town and look for something to entertain him in the mean time, but with every cop and vigilante in a 50 mile radius looking for them; that dream became forfeit.

He watched Ivy trail off towards her lab, who was still deeply interested in the cube thingy she had stolen. Lobo had grown somewhat more comfortable with the plants around him. It reminded him of the Amazon except much denser and very much more alive, he could have swore he saw a venus fly trap swallow a bird.

The bounty hunter got up following after Poison Ivy. "You like living here? This place is...rather big...All theses plants here. You don't get bored or lonely?" He asked circling around a set of lab equipment looking at anything that peaked his interest. It was hard not to look at her too long scared that she might have one of her plants eat him. It was just that Ivy was quite mind boggling when it came to looks. He had not expected anyone with contacts with Oswald to look this astonishing, then again everyone needed an uglier friend to feel better about themselves.

He would have been right, a great variant of floronic life filled the room, wild but at the same time neatly tamed, guided by the red heads gifted tender hand. Some plants were simply…well plants, from the common weed, to the strangling vine…all of them seemed filled with life, one way or another. Other species seemed a bit more active, hybrids…that needed special attentions that went beyond sunlight and water, some even seemed terribly alien…even ancient, prehistoric. When Lobo followed her into her lab, his question was rather simple, and allowed her to give pause for but a moment, dusky sensuous green eyes darkening some beneath the halo of sooty dark lashes, as if she were deep in thought. Her average answer, would have been along the lines of ‘I have my plants’ or ‘Harley drops by sometimes’ but instead she would have confide a more personal answer, ”—I’m lonely often…” she admit, a rosy lipped smile sparking along that golden face of hers, as if sunlight danced just below the surface of her skin. Not akin to such admissions, she would occasionally flit her gaze up towards Lobo, and then back down at her work, ”—I’m terrible when it comes to keeping relationships, it doesn’t help I am not particularly fond of the human race, nor they me…but there is that immortal thing, kind of a b***h sometimes being ageless…” she uttered, while pulling back from her work, ”—What about you?” she casually asked, seeing how they were on the topic… ”—I bet you have to beat women back with a stick…” she joked, complimenting him…

"Perhaps if I wasn't always mobile, I'd have to use a stick. But no. My work keeps me moving from place to place. Don't really have time to start anything even remotely serious." Lobo leaned against a counter careful not to spill or break any of the beakers. "Immorality can be a bit of a step back...but it's not all that bad." Not being from Earth originally he was quite curious if Ivy was one of a kind or came from a race of planet humanoids. It had never quite accrued to him until then. "If you don't mind me asking but what exactly are you?...I don't think I've come across anything half as gorgeous as you are." Most humans had deemed her some psychotic lady who felt aligned with plants then them. To Lobo she just seemed like an intelligent, partially unstable lady with a lovely shade of green. He had been all over known parts of the galaxy, seeing women all shapes and colors. "For someone whose spent time in Arkham, you seem to be quite stable to me....aside from your love of giant plants that is..Still a nice hobby though....I'll make sure the next time I pass any planets with exotic life to bring you a souvenir." He had just the gift to surprise her with too.

Content in leaving her work for the time being to give her full attention to the male before her, she eagerly listened, chuckling at his words, only finally taken back when he’d commented on her looks. Sure she’d heard it before, but it was usually when her victims were under a trance, when she was manipulating those into feeling what she wanted them to feel, mostly people just seemed to be unnerved about being around her. If it wasn’t for the odd golden green color of her skin, or the wild tangled vines and flowers that seem to grow from her very scalp, it was the fact that she seemed to change her appearance ever so slightly with the changing of seasons, as if somehow she was a part of the world, and the world a part of her. When he asked the rather golden question, ’What was she?’ Ivy smiled, emerald eyes soft beneath a halo of thick black lashes, ”—One of a kind,” she joked, at first, casually brushing back her fiery red hair, ”—Seriously though…there really isn’t anything like me. You want the long story or the short?” she added playfully, while settling herself against the counter, getting herself comfortable. ”-- I was human once believe it or not, after I graduated college, I found myself working on a great program with my former professor, my now ex fiancé Jason. I’ve heard it, dating my professor, should have been a red flag, but what the hell...we fell madly in love with eachother, well…at least I thought he did." she stated, seeming to veer off only slightly in thought before continuing, "-- About a year into our project, we moved through trials with lab animals, successfully mutated the genes, their healing ratio, life expectancy, and living needs were better, but there were a few side effects, nothing terrible unless you wanted your lab rats asthetically pleasing…their fur turned green, and they seemed to sprout thorns or the occasional leaf, but it seemed nothing painful. We needed that serum we had been perfecting to be tried out on a human test subject. The problem, we didn’t get the funding, and so he tested it out on me without my knowledge, slowly introducing me to the I.V.Y serum. After injecting me forcibly with seven of the most potent plant poisons known to man, I died…or at least my life as a human was ended. Like those Rats however, I came back…something different…higher on the evolutionary chain I suppose, the link between plants and animals…but…like those animals…I came back with genetic mutations…some favorable, some not…” shifting her position, glancing down towards the stolen hunk of petrified wood before her, she smiled, ”—Closest thing one can describe me as, mythical Mother nature…or perhaps creatures like the Nymph from old Greek mythology, nothing is like me really, and nothing will ever exist like me. I am stable enough, those who think me insane are simply disagreeable with my beliefs, they keep me in Arkham because they do not understand me…I’m too dangerous to be left to live alone in solitude, people fear what they do not understand, its a sad fact of life. Got to say I’m starting to know how Frankenstein’s monster felt.” When he mentioned he would bring her back something exotic from another planet, her eyes widened, expression one of surprise and glee, oh she could just kiss him…he knew just how to win her heart. ”Than I look forward to it vastly…I do appreciate the compliment Lobo, that…it was flattering…” she added, casually following it up with, ”—You’re rather stunning yourself…I wouldn’t say Handsome…handsome seems to only describe colorless bland beings like human’s, a bit too simple in describing…no…” she chimed, while lifting those wild eyes once more, while slipping a glance over him, ”—No…you’re something God like…magnificent…perfection...” first and foremost Ivy was a fighter, but she was also a lover, as well a woman, and she wasn't blind to magnificence when she saw it.

There was definitely more than met the eye when talking to Ivy. Interested in her and what she was about, Lobo listened giving her all of his attention. She was definitely one of a kind. He had never come across anyone half as remarkable as Ivy or even close. Looks were not everything and Ivy seemed just as intelligent as she did lovely. A win/win in anyone's books. Still it astonished him just how balanced the lady seemed to be. Deranged sociopathic killers had a knack of coming off as crazed, but this one seemed almost sane....if it was not for the giant plants that inhabited her humble abode. Still Lobo couldn't help but heavily admire her. He was never a big science person, but had dabbled in it enough for him to have made a biological weapon. That was nothing compared to her goals and ambitions.
"Mutation or mythical creature...I think you are quite remarkable." Poison Ivy was the modern female counterpart Doryphoros. Lobo continued leaning against the counter and blushed at hearing her compliments to him. A small but slight hint of red became visible on his cheeks as the alien couldn't help but blush. Being considered a god was something new and not new. He knew his existence was something of cosmic irony, because of all his people's wellbeing and good there had to be something to represent the evil in that utopia. Lobo had walked upon countless worlds and been considered death incarnate. But never a god. Sure he was immortal and strong, but calling himself a god would be the most ethnocentric thing ever. "That's....a first. But I'm really not that impressive. Certainly not against the likes of you." It was getting late and the Czarnian didn't want to waste any more of her time. They had just done a heist, even for something as simple as an easy break, she more than likely wanted to get her work done or at least get a good start on it. This bounty hunter could always swing by later and compliment Ivy but still felt like he had something else to tell her. Hopefully this phase had passed by without any problems and they could spear head into the next set of plans. With the amount given to Lobo, he had no problem following her around for as long as she required the muscle. "As much as I love being in the presence of a beautiful woman. I should let you go..You'll probably want to go look over that device and I don't want to hold you up from any pressing matters."
