Cody wanted to kill the dragon, wanting to slay it so that he could make sure that it doesn't hurt or kill anyone else. He continued to walk around till he thought that he heard a voice. He was hunting a dragon that he believed killed his family, having burned most of the village but she was the only one that had known about the drunk who had caused the fire, and being a dragon, no one believed her so only the lie that was crafted from the drunk running in fear from her and the fire made people think that she did it. He walked around, before he started to think about how the sound was coming from the north. He knew that it was close to the cliffs so he was cautious but seeing a puff of fire coming from a far, he smirked. He began to try walking along the tree line but when he believed to have thought that he found the dragon that killed his parents. When he was about to sneak up on her, sword drawn, he gasped walking along the cliff before a chunk of rock fell out from under him. He screamed having to drop his sword as he hung from the slide of the cliff, hanging for his life, trying to pull himself up but he couldn't get a foot hold.

Kurasa hearing Cody scream went over to the cliffs edge and climbed down the rocks before she said "Climb on if you want to live." She had this look in her eyes that said "I'm not the one your looking for." She was about his size up close, maybe a bit bigger. But her tail which was halved made it so she couldn't fly. She had her claws dug into the rocks like they were butter. She looked at Cody and stayed by his side not wanting to lose the only one who actually cared about her. Even if he hated her, she still wanted to help. She had her wings tucked against her back and she looked at him hoping that he would take her offer. She didn't want anyone hurt because of her. Plus she seemed more lonely and sad than anything else. Her only father she ever knew growing up was killed in the fire while trying to protect her and it was also when the left side of her tail was taken off by the flames.

Cody looked at her when she climbed down next to him, he almost growled at her but was shocked at how she spoke, or at least he thought that he could hear her talk. he looked at her eyes seeing more free and sadness then hate but soon he grabbed onto her back as she climbed up. Once off the cliff, he backed off and stepped back from her, pulling out a dagger at the ready, "How can you speak beast..." He asked still thinking that she was a monster, but he was willing to listen and she could see that of him.

"It's this amulet that my father gave to me...before the fire." She said and turned away backing up and saying "I'm sorry but I wasn't the one who started the fire. You must believe me when I say that it was a drunk man. He broke into our house and set it on fire. Father was burned alive and I was injured which is why I ran instead of flying away. I'm no good to anyone so I came here to live out my days. That way I wouldn't hurt anyone." SHe said and had a tear go down her cheek as she looked away. "But if you wish to kill me go ahead. No one will care anyway." She said as she clinched her eyes close waiting for him to strike. You could see the scars from the fire that had mostly healed on her tail. Her tail was cut off while trying to escape from the blaze. A burning plank of wood burned it off. it still hurt, a lot.

Cody looked at her when she turned her back to him but he heard what she said. He shook his head but closing his eyes, he kept replaying his memories in his head, having focused on the dragon and that he believed that she had killed his parents but thinking hard, he remembered seeing the drunk set fire to the house that the dragon came out of, which the fire spread to his home killing his parents inside. He realized that her story was true. He could tell from how she looked that she was a victim as much as he was which made him grip his dagger but he just yelled as he threw the dagger at a tree, the blade piercing the tree as he was pissed, "That... that drunken murderer... he... he was thought to be a hero for warning the village of the dragon and the fire before it spread but... but he was the one that had started it... he left the village saying that he didn't want to be famous but I bet that he ran to keep from being found out... and... and I just let my anger get in the way thinking that you killed my parents..." He said pissed that the true killer had gotten away as he sat on the ground feeling defeated and had let his parent's death go truly resolved.

Kurasa jumped when he threw the knife into the trunk of a tree. She ran off when he wasn't looking. Her tracks headed for the mines as she ran. Once he stopped, she had been crying remembering that man and how he had her chased from her home and from her own father's burial. She couldn't even go through the town to say goodbye at his grave. She then went into the mine and curled up around a picture of her and her father before he was killed. She looked to be about 5 years old in the picture. SHe had been alone for so long that it she had all but forgotten how to live with someone else. She cried as she curled around it before she turned human and said "Papa.....Why didn't you run with me?" to herself and hugged the picture.

Cody was just depressed but when he began to think about it, he just then turned around and noticed that she was gone. He retrieved his dagger and put it away but following the tracks to the mine, he quietly walked inside but seeing her curled up, he walked over and gently draped the cloak over her shoulders, "So... your the dragon... and to think that I thought the dragon a monster and would speak with a loving girl like yourself each day." He said feeling terribly for his actions.

"It's fine. You couldn't have known. No one knows what I really am....But when they do they either run or start screaming. I have no friends other than you at the moment but to be honest....All I want is one friend that doesn't think I'm a beast. I couldn't even go to my own father's funeral because of my dragon form. I can only be human for no more than two hours. That's why I was always leaving in a hurry when you saw me. I thought that you would try to hurt me if you knew." She said as a tear flowed down her cheek. Then she looked at the picture and felt her heart break more than it already was.

Cody looked at her when she spoke but he thought about it, he sighed at how he knew that he couldn't tell the village about her since they hated dragons as some other dragons have attacked the village before but he soon thought about it, "Well how about I help you however I can." he said kindly to her to, offering his services to her, showing that he could help her however she needed it.

She then smiled a bit as she hugged her father's photo. She then set it in her nest along with her cloak and said "Also if you wouldn't mind not telling anyone that I'm here. I don't want anyone to try to hurt me." She then looked at him hoping he would agree to both conditions.

You don't have to if you feel it isn't right...but it would make me happy to know that you're my friend." She then smiled a bit as she hugged her father's photo. She then set it in her nest along with her cloak and said "Also if you wouldn't mind not telling anyone that I'm here. I don't want anyone to try to hurt me." She then looked at him hoping he would agree to both conditions. Cody gently smiled to her when she asked both conditions but he soon thought about it as he nodded, "I would more then happy be your friend and I promise that no one shall lay a hand on you with intent to harm... I also protect my friends." He said being a knight and from being a friendly protective person.

Dutchess of Wolves "Thank you Sir Cody." She said remembering his name from earlier. She smiled and looked at him as she did and hugged him blushing a bit. She didn't know what else to do. She had not had a hug in a long time. Cody looked at her when she thanked him only it began to make him think about it but he gently smiled when she hugged him as he gently wrapped his arms around her in a friend gentle hug guessing that she needed a friend. He then had an idea, "You know... I still have the ability to build a permanent house in this village, I could build it next to the mines so that you don't have to be out her all alone." He said kindly to her.

Cody looked at her when she thanked him only it began to make him think about it but he gently smiled when she hugged him as he gently wrapped his arms around her in a friend gentle hug guessing that she needed a friend. He said kindly to her. "I would love that. It would make me feel better. But what about my dragon form? I can't just go into the village in it. I don't want anyone to think I'm there to hurt anyone." Cody looked at her when she spoke about her dragon form but he gently smiled to her, "Well you can just travel into the town when your in human form." He said kindly, "Their was a story of a witch that lives far from here... the other knights and I believe that she could be a threat but she never did anything to attack the castle... but maybe she could give us a way that allows you to control how long you can remain human." He said softly to her.
