Poking his head around the base of the bins, something caught his nose. Talltale poked his head around the corner of one of the bins and pulled out a carrot that had apparently fallen out of the bin or never made it into the bin in the first place. Grasping the stem in his mouth, Talltale took the carrot over to where they were piling what was found. Adding his prize to the pile, he headed back to see if there was anymore to be had. This small find could surely lead to a bigger one, right?

"Right," Lamb murmured at Pepper's direction, then darted out into the field to search for scraps leftover from the harvest. Surely the harvesters couldn't have grabbed everything, right? And besides, sometimes rabbits would enjoy what humans would otherwise overlook.

She continued to investigate around the locked bins, a bit bothered by the fact that there was so little available. That brief glimpse of despair dissipated as Talltale found another dropped carrot. Fortune smiled on them, given how careless the farmer had been.
"Good job, Tall."
She wiggled her ears happily and nudged the buck's shoulder, before moving on to Pepper's side. At least they were making progress, but it didn't seem much would be found here.
"Should we head to the fields, Pepper? We've got a couple of pieces of flay, but the bins are locked up tight. We might have more luck out there."

"Yes, let's head towards the fields and see what we can find out there. But be careful, I don't like how quiet it is"
Pepper turned, preparing to lead his group closer to the fields and the barn.

Talltale gave a smile as Feverfew bumped his shoulder and headed towards the fields. Seemed that the bins were now not the best place to search for food.

As soon as she felt the tightening around her neck, Lamb stopped struggling. She knew this feeling, and she knew it well. Heart pounding, she began to dig at the peg, knowing how hard the wire would be to break. "Help!" she called, the cry half-strangled in her throat.

Pepper froze as he watched Lamb suddenly jerk back. He knew what that meant. A snare. Cursing softly under his breath, Pepper bounded forward. He had to help her, it was his duty. "Lamb I want you to remain as still as you can, we'll get you out of this. I promise"

Talltale heard the call for help before he saw one of his team caught in a snare. stopping beside Pepper he looked at the snare before moving along the strand. "maybe if she moves until the wire slacks we can loosen it? Ot at least release the pressure on her throat." he suggested.

The moment Feverfew heard Lamb's Ear's strangled cry for help, she moved into action. The red doe changed pace, her grin from her lighthearted bump to Talltale was long gone and she immediately went to the doe's side. Pepper was there - good old Pepper.
"He's right, don't struggle. We'll get you out of there." She was scared. While she had a brush with an elil before, this was the first time she'd actually seen a shining wire. She bit the wire and it hurt her teeth. That was a no go. Instead, she followed it to the base and began digging. It was all she could think of to do. Maybe she could loosen it from the earth.

Staff post With all the help, they managed to pull the peg free from the ground. Freeing Lamb but they had nearly been too late. Lamb would not be joining them on the remaining quest. Instead she would need to use the time to recover her breath and strength.

The snare had cut deep- deeper than the last one, and the doe was shaking and panting with the exertion. She was very nearly dead, and was quite sure that she didn't have the strength to continue. With heartfelt apologies and thanks to her teammates, she headed for cover, where she could recover peacefully.
