Lucas was greeted by Shannon the maid. He nodded to her and sighed. "Of course no one knows where she is. Today is her coronation. Somehow I'm not surprised." Lucas sat on the armrest of a chair, thinking about where Everlin was. He nodded towards Vanille when she entered, knowing she is shy he rarely speaks to her. He also waved towards Calista acknowledging her presence. The one person Lucas had failed to greet was Noah.
The man was cold. Lucas knew everyone found Noah cold but no one seemed to hate him like Lucas. Lucas was probably less blind to Noah simply because he was a Prince. Lucas's own brother had tried to kill him and his Father only a few years ago. Lucas hadn't seen it in time and ended up killing his only sibling and younger brother. It had been a hard time for Lucas and although everyone knew he refused to speak of it.
He approached Noah and smiled. "Noah, pleasure as always. You must be so...glad your sister is finally having her coronation today. She will now officially be Queen, such a shame about the marriage thing though." He had interrupted the conversation between Noah and Shannon. The poor maid should't have to deal with Noah. "I myself look forward to it. As you well know one day I too will be King of a Kingdom, maybe not this one but my own for sure. No one else can lay claim to my throne, considering my brother is dead. It's quite odd isn't it how you magically appeared the same year my brother tried to overthrow my father. Of course it was just a coincidence." Said Lucas laughing at his joke.
His eyes had turned cold. And the main reason Lucas hated Noah was because he had a very strong feeling Noah had been involved in his brother's death. Of course when Lucas had done an investigation he couldn't find a single ounce of proof. If Noah had been involved which by now all but consumed Lucas and he believed it to be the truth, Noah had covered his tracks. "Have fun at the coronation. I look forward to seeing you there." Said Lucas with a cold smile and then he left heading towards Everlin's private bedchamber.
Noah went wide eyed once Lucas began, and turned his head toward him, who had interrupted the short conversation. Noah clenched his teeth now enraged that Lucas had the audacity to say what was of course the truth . He open closed doors that they thought they locked but it seems that Lucas found a way. He tightened his fists as he glared into Lucas's eyes. Noah and Shalin's son did have something in common, and indeed it was true that they were partners in crime then turned into something ugly. Things got out of hand... Noah was ready to strangle Lucas but he held his arm back, cringing at every word. He took slow deep breaths and looked away. "Such a shame.....your brother would have made a fine king.." He said, loud enough for Lucas to hear as he walked away. It was clear to Noah that Lucas was a problem. He thought he would be left in the hands of his brother, yet it wasn't so.'I can't overlook this...I didn't know he knew...damnit' he thought, as he straightened himself up, pushed up his flasses and watched Lucas take his leave. ☆═━┈┈━═☆
Vanille stayed behind Shannon and gripped her puffy sleeves for protection from the tension caused when Lucas began to address Noah. She quivered at the strange atmosphere that seemed to surround them all. "S-Shannon.." She whimpered as she continued to watch the two talk about what had happened to the King of Dalfin's other sons. It was very tragic, and Vanille pitied Lucas for what had happened. She somewhat Pitied Noah, she never knew the reason behind his disappearance, and still ponders over that. Plus they both lost people who were close to them, and it must be painful to not have someone you love not being around anymore.

Shannon "Shan" Cherish " I'm at your service,mi'lady! Honest I'll do my best! "
Shannon turned her head back at Vanille. "It's fine,I'll handle it." She said to her and walked towards the kitchen. She noticed Sorluska in there sniffing the floor, but tried to ignore it. The maid went to one of the cupboards and grabbed three tea cups, then walked to the counter and poored some tea that had been cooking on the stove. She quickly walked back to where Vanille,Lucas, and Noah were. She gave a smile at Vanille and walked towards Noah. "I think some tea would make you a little less tense," She said and gave the cup to him. "Don't worry,I didn't make it.." She said as she laughed lightly. She walked away, then went over to Lucas with the tray. "Here, tea always makes people a little more relaxed." She gave him the tea cup, then went back to Vanille. "I still got one left. Would you want it?" Shannon asked the shy girl.
Lucas heard the snide comment made by Noah;but choose to ignore it. What had he done, he had revealed he knew Noah's intentions! Why hadn't Lucas controlled himself. He and Noah were playing a dangerous game, and it was clear only one of them would survive it. After all what was the saying, "When seeking revenge dig two graves." Said Lucas quietly. Lucas's hands had formed fists and all he wanted to do was smash something. Lucas closed his eyes and breathed, he felt his heartbeat slow down, his fists relaxed, and his shoulders slouched.
He then sat down on a chair in the other room. Something needed to be done about Noah. But what? No one thought Noah was a threat, everyone believed him to be an angel, Everlin would never believe him, and outright attacking Noah or using assassin's would most likely come back to Lucas and he would be banished from the kingdom. Killing Lucas would upset his people, and Dalfin would not hesitate to go to war over their Crown Prince. But there had to be something. Lucas didn't have any say in Parliament in the Kingdom of White. He was a foreign ambassador, and therefore unable to interfere officially with Parliament.
Lucas was lost in his thoughts when Shannon brought him in some tea. "Thank you." Lucas took the tea from Shannon and sipped it. He could ask Shannon how she felt about Noah; but there was no point. Shannon had as much power as him, absolutely none. He needed counsel. But how could he possibly explain that Noah had convinced Lucas's younger brother, Gerard, to kill King Shalin and Lucas. No one would believe Lucas. Lucas set down his tea cup on the saucer and starred into the dark murky liquid. Lucas suddenly had a flashback.
He and his father were playing chess in King Shalin's private study, the guard bell rings, and people are running through the halls, screaming, "FIRE! FIRE!" Guards pour in and King Shalin and Lucas are told to go through a secret passage that leads out into the garden. Lucas speaks, "Where's Gerard and mother? Are they safe?""Gerard and the Queen are being searched for, once they are found they will be taken out of the castle. But the fire is spreading quickly, it started in the East Wing and is heading West." Says on of the Guards. "We have to get you two out!" They must evacuate. King Shalin directs himself and Lucas through the passage. Lucas refuses, "What about Gerard and Mom. I'm not going without them!" Lucas runs off and King Shalin screams, "Wait, son. Come back!"
The guards speak up, "We'll get him Your Majesty. But you must go. We have to get you to safety." With a heavy heart King Shalin escapes through the secret passage. Lucas is running through the rooms, Gerard's room is in the East Wing. He has to find Gerard. People are running through the hallways, it is pure choas. Eric hears the fire first, roaring like an angry billowing dragon. He then sees the smoke, he covers his mouth with his sleeve, and runs through the smoke. He finds a servant lying on the ground, smoking filling her lungs. Lucas helps her up and tells her to run. She staggeringly runs off. Lucas goes farther and farther into the pitch black smoked hallways. The smoke becomes black now and the heat had made him sweat through his clothes.
Lucas finally reaches Gerard's room only to find the doors are being licked with flames. His eyes are already tearing from the smoke; but he fears the worst. He is suddenly grabbed by the arm, a guard. "Your Highness, come on the flames are nearly upon us. We have to get out!" Lucas nods and the two head out of the castle. Lucas and the guard finally get away from the smoke and they are breathing in fresh oxygen with relief. The guard and him head to the secret passage, it is the quickest way out and the only place not filled with smoke and fire yet. They make to the passage and head down it with speed.
Lucas and the guard make it to the end and when they emerge in the Garden coughing and panting swords are drawn on them. The guard and Lucas lift up their hands to see Gerard holding a sword over King Shalin's head. The Queen is there standing in the back with two guards holding her with swords drawn. "Gerard what are you doing?" Asks Lucas, "Isn't it obvious dear brother? I'm taking my rightful place on the throne." Gerard smiles wickedly then. "I don't understand. Why Gerard?" Asks Lucas confused and shocked.
"Oh, don't play coy with me. Because I am the King's youngest son, Prince Eric's brother! No one remembers me and no one cares! Why! Because I'm not going to be King because I'm not as handsome or brave as you. Because I'm not as smart as you! That's why!" Said Gerard, his eyes only held resentment and hate and he was shouting to be heard. "I...I never knew....""That's right, you never knew because all you cared about brother was yourself! When was the last time you asked me how I was doing or what problems I was having. IT'S Always about you! Well not any more!" Gerard was cackling now.
The Queen and King Shalin were crying now. "Let mom go Gerard." Said Lucas. "Get them all on their knees! Now!" Said Gerard. "You were always mommy and daddy's favorite Lucas. So, I think instead of letting them go. I'm going to kill them first and make you watch. How about that!" Said Gerard with an evil grin. Lucas was forced onto his knees as were King Shalin and the Queen. King Shalin spoke now, "Please Gerard, she's your mother." Gerard smacked King Shalin across the face, "Shut up old man. You will speak when spoken to!" Gerard then went over to the Queen. Lucas watched in horror as the Queen looked up at him and then Gerard. "I love you both so much." Gerard huffed, "Shut up you lying whore! Don't make this any harder then this is!" The guards held her head down then, and Gerard lifted his blade high above his head. The sword glinted against the sun and then he brought it straight down upon the Queen's head.
The Queen's head rolled off onto the grass as blood gushed from her neck. Her eyes still open and a smile upon her face, a single tear steamed down her left eye. King Shalin reacted now, he struggled against his captives. He tried to fight and Gerard whacked him across the head. King Shalin stopped moving then, unconscious from the blow. Lucas was motionless still starring at the now headless Queen, his mother. Gerard approached Lucas now, "How's it feel. The b***h is dead. Such a shame though, if only she hadn't given birth to me, she would still be alive." Gerard smiled at that, and wiped his sword clean against his cloak.
"I was going to kill you last Lucas, but I'm tired of seeing your ugly face. Hold him down." Lucas snapped out of it then, he looked around to see ten guards in total. Four were holding him and King Shalin down. Two were now removing the Queen's body away. Two more were holding down the guard that had come with Lucas. And the last two had their swords out and were near the King. Including Gerard that made eleven enemies, and only two other comrades. The King was unconscious, so make it one. His weapon had been confiscated and so had the other guards, the swords were lying on the grass just a few feet ahead. But Lucas still had a dagger in his boot.
He could reach it if he tried; but he needed the perfect timing. The guards held his head down and Gerard lifted his sword. Now, thought Lucas. He wrenched the two guards arms that were holding him down. With his right hand grabbed the dagger out from his boot, he then reflected Gerard's blade as it came down. He kicked the guard on his left side while blocking Gerard's blade. He spun around releasing Gerard and his sword, Lucas drove his dagger into the guard on the right. He then ran to where the swords were and chucked one to his alley. He picked up the his sword and deflected Gerard's blade as it came down upon him yet again. "You won't win Lucas. Just give up.""You killed her! You monster!"
Lucas threw his weight against his sword and Gerard was forced to step back and unlock blades with Lucas. Lucas then whirled over to where his father was while his alley kept Gerard busy. The alley had already killed the two guards that were holding him down. The two guards that had been dragging the Queen's body away were gone and that only left four more guards. Lucas was attacked head on, he blocked, parried, and slit one's neck. He was attacked from the left the next time, he blocked, counter attacked, and slashed across the mid-section. Lucas then threw his dagger square into the approaching guard's heart. Lastly he thrust straight out with his sword and jammed his sword into the last guard's gut. Lucas turned around to see Gerard slash Lucas's alley's throat. The guard fell to the ground dead.
Lucas looked around, it was only him and Gerard left. "You don't have to do this Gerard. Give up your sword and I'll make sure Father doesn't kill you.""As if brother, I'd rather die!" Gerard came at Lucas head on. Lucas dropped his sword, he dodged Gerard's attack and grabbed Gerard by the sword arm. He wrenched Gerard's arm, making Gerard drop the sword. Lucas then kneed Gerard in the gut. Lucas grabbed Gerard's sword from the ground and jammed into Gerard's heart. Gerad's eyes were the last thing Lucas saw, he saw the light go out. He saw the sadness in his brother's face, he felt the guilt sink down into his heart. Lucas blinked, he was starring at dark brown tea. He blinked rapidly to stop the tears from coming. He took another sip and looked out the window. Sometimes Lucas felt very alone.

Queen Everlyn Snow
The queen was of course, in the library, where she'd been for the last two days, studying like she was a scholar. She wanted to be a great queen, and Queens knew just about everything, didn't they? So she was studying, her short curly brown was sort of frizzled since she hadn't brushed it and she'd barely left the library enough to eat a little and bathe. She'd already filled several books full of notes, each one bursting with extremely detailed facts about the economy down to who owned a blacksmith a good twenty miles from the castle. Of course when she was finished, she planned to research everything about every neighboring kingdom. She was quieter than a mouse, at best you could here a book gently opening, and perhaps a page be caressed by her perfectly soft hands and pedicured nails, which unfortunately had been bitten through in the last few days. She took a sip of water from a glass she'd kept near by, just about to pass out from exhaustion. She hadn't slept in two days, but of course she hadn't said anything. What queen would complain? All she could think about was how beautiful Snow White had been, the gentle smile she'd displayed and how she'd asked Everlyn to take care of her kingdom. This thought only made Everlyn write faster, biting into her lip.
((I know I'm extremely late... But what better start is to have a Queen missing? OKAY. Fine I admit I just made that up to excuse my absence...))
Axel was upon a hill looking out to the Kingdom in White. He wondered what kind of Queen was Everlyn, and how would all the citizens be as well. He made his way down the path, passing a few travelers and caravans. His pale like eyes looked at the people passing by and smiled, seeing it was peaceful here...unlike Silvatica's trenches, where he fought for peace aganist some slave raiders. Axel kept his trusty sword at his side, he's never leave home without it, and beside you can never be to careful. Axel had made a two day trip from Silvatica to The Kingdom in White, in his pack was a chocolate cake he had baked, before leaving on his journey, many of his tutors told him that the Queen loved chocolate treats, so he baked it as a gift for the Queen. He had arrived at the gates of the kingdom, he looked up to see the castle. "Man...Pops better do some upgrades on the castle back home...Like actually wipe it clean." he softly, adjusting his pack, and headed through the gates. His eyes gazed over at the citizens in the city, they were happy, but he knew under each smile was a troubled person, he made a mental note to come by after his meeting with the Queen. After thirty minutes of stumbling around the city his saw the castle gates...and it's guards. "State your name, vermin." one of the guards called out to Axel. He only raised an eyebrow at his attitude. "I'm Axel Coolidge, Prince of Silvatica. Please use better language when greeting others. Also...I'm here to meet with the Queen." he said, not intiminated by the gaurd's face and attitude. The guard shrugged off the tense air and opened the doors. Axel walked on inside, and nodded at the guard with a smile. 'This place is huge...maybe I should wonder around a bit....' he thought, looking around the castle with his eyes. 'Maybe a small tour couldn't hurt...' his thoughts continued as he began to walk down a hallway. The ceiling was definatly higher than what he was used to, as he passed by the doors in the hallway. Then, he saw a slightly opened door, and his curiousity got the better of him, as he peeked seeing that it was the library. Axel's pale eyes laid down on the girl reading books. 'I wonder who is she...?' he thought, laying a hand on the doorway a bit.

During the rest of the trip, Matthew had given up on his reading and blankly stared at the red clothed ceiling of the carriage.Out of boredom, he had sprawled out upon the red seat to see if he could do so without having to contort is body in a strange way. It turns out that his mother splurged on the biggest carriage. "I think Father should makes sure Mother stops buying more of these things...They're too uncomfortable."
"Sir, I believe that I see Lady Trinity Moore walking in the direction of the castle. Should I pull over and offer a ride?" the carriage driver, David, asked. Matthew let out a sound of confirmation, and rolled off of the seat and onto the floor. It wasn't behavior fitting of a Noble, but he was in private, had to make himself upright again, and he trusted David. "Sir are you alright?" David asked as he opened up the door to the carriage after it had pulled to a stop..
"I'm fine," Matthew answered as he pushed himself off of the carriage floor and got out of it. He brushed the dust off of his clothes and strode toward the other Noble. He loudly cleared his throat once he was behind her, and when he was sure he had her attention, he offered David's suggestion. "Good Morning, Lady Moore. My Carriage Driver had noticed you were walking to the Queen's Castle with some parcels. Might I offer you a ride, since we are headed in the same direction?"

By the time Lucas realized Everlin was not in her new quarters or anywhere them he had already wasted an hour waiting. He pulled out the small rose brooch from his pocket and starred at it. Would she really like his gift? He put the brooch away not wanting to think of it. He wondered where she could be. Was she nervous? Lucas would be nervous if it was his coronation today too. He wondered, where would he be if he was going to become the new ruler of the kingdom? Well Lucas thought I would want peace and quiet, I would want to be prepared, I would probably not be sleeping in or eating. Hmm. Lucas thought. Sighing and giving up he left the Queen's quarters quietly and started walking the halls.
He had walked through most of the halls for a good while when he saw someone standing in the doorway of the library. The person was a new face. Was he a new suitor? So far Lucas had been the only suitor in the castle. But he knew others were coming. He did want to know the competition. He walked up to the young man with silver hair and tapped him on the shoulder. "Excuse me, may I go through?"
Lucas waited hesitantly until deciding to go through the other door. He was interested in what this young man was starring at. He was clearly starring at something for no one ever looked at the library that keenly. The books were very dusty and the whole places reeked of vellum. He didn't mind the smell of vellum but he hated the feel of it. Just knowing it was animal skin made his stomach churn. He opened the other door to the left of the young man to see Evelin surrounded by books. And no where near ready for her coronation!
What the hell was she thinking. The coronation was less then three hours away. Which may seem like plenty of time; but it took women ages to get ready in court! His mother used to spend a better part of the day getting ready for her balls and feasts. Lucas rushed over to Evelin. "Ever...I mean...Your Majesty are you INSANE! Why aren't you getting ready?" He had completely forgotten about his gift, his plans, and his nerves. All that matter now was getting Everlin ready in time.
Lucas tended to be that way, much more concerned about others then himself. He himself would wait until the last possible minute to get ready and get yelled at by someone. Just like what he was doing now to her. He had spent far too long with her that he always called her Everlin. Even know he barely remembered to correct himself. Of course now he did it knowing she was going to be Queen.
Things would be different now, they had grown up. All those lovely summers and winters with Sorluska, Oda, Shan, Everlin, and even Noah before he had disappeared were gone. Lucas looked at the girl before him now. "Things really are changing huh. It was just yesterday I remember meeting you for the first time. Don't ever change though Eve. I know I've changed; but you stay the same. It's important, okay." Said Lucas with very sad eyes, he rubbed her very messy short curly brown hair, almost like a brother. And just like that he was smiling again and stopped messing her hair up even more.
{OOC: I hope it was okay I made it her coronation. I wasn't really sure where we were starting. sweatdrop}
Axel stood there for a moment before, making his body full visable by the doorway. He crossed his arms and leaned back, looking at them. 'So that's the Queen...'he thought. His eyes gazed at the Queen, and saw that her skin was just as pale as the snow, and eyes color as the skies, she was truely beautiful in his eyes, but he only closed his eyes seeing that the two might have a moment. Axel ran a had hand through his hair lightly, and showed his back to them. "I suggest you let the Queen do what she wants. This coronation thing...It doesn't matter if she's late, we'll be here all the time...waiting for her. So have some patience and wait for her majesty. That's part of the job as being a suitor, just wait till she's ready." he said. He began to take a few steps towards the hallway, then looked back again. "I'm Axel Coolidge. Prince of Silvatica. A pleasure to meet you, Your Majesty." he said, taking a bow.
Everlyn, who always carried a fan, took it out of her pocket and smacked Lucas across the face with a sigh. "Ever-lyn. Do not call me Majesty unless you want a bruise on your cheek. I'm pretty sure I've known you long enough to be informal with names Lucas." She said matter of factly, paling when she remembered it was her coronation. "Oh.. It is?" She said weakly, now hiding her mouth with her apple-designed fan, nibbling on her lip. "I don't even know the street names of Barbosa yet..." She mumbled, turning, continuing to hide behind her fan as she mumbled to herself. "And no silly, becoming Queen doesn't automatically qualify me to become a mirror-obsessed wretch." Finally noticing the guy stand in the door way, she used her fan as a pointer, directing straightly to him. "State your purpose." Of course that didn't mean she couldn't have fun pretending to be Queenly-like, Right? But you could tell she was about to burst out giggling, because she did, trying to keep herself from falling to the floor. Her rose red lips trying to keep a poised smile, but failed, since she was obviously having a fit of laughter at being queen-like.

Whenyou'reuncertainorworried,I'llbethereforyou...
Lucas was shocked at first and then the pain caught up to him as he was slapped. "Ow, that hurt." He said rubbing his cheek. For a Queen she had quite the backstroke. "And for your information I remember you once spent five hours getting ready for Lancelot. All I heard about for weeks was how handsome he was, how great he was, this and that. You acted like such a girl then." Said Lucas pointedly reminding Everlin. Of course Lucas remembered because half the Girl's at court had gone crazy over the man. He was quite glad the man had died, too bad he had to save a kingdom while dying though.
Everyone still worshiped the snob. Lucas was acting exactly like he was five. He tended to get that way when he was finally relaxing and having a good time. "Where's Barbosa? I've never heard of that city. Oh wait, is that the one famous for it's wine." Lucas was now thinking very hard about the cities he did know and wine. He fancied a rich earthy blend. He wasn't a fan of sweet so he preferred the more robust tasting wines. Lucas was awful at directions, so much so that he never ever went anywhere in the city without someone. Lucas had once been lost for three days all because he had tried to find the rare books store.
It was the same situation at home for him. Lucas looked back at the young man and then at Everlin. "He's a suitor. Quite handsome isn't he. He's suave, clearly charming, you should definitely marry him. Of course, then that means I will actually have to find a bride...." And then Lucas stopped talking, he always joked about Everlin's suitors now. it was his way of showing he didn't care; but secretly he cared very much.
"The treaty! The treaty!" Lucas looked at Everlin. "The treaty between our two kingdoms they have to be renewed. I have to send them to my father. Please tell me you signed it? If you did I have to dash back to Parliament and sign it, and then send it with a messenger, post haste!" Lucas ran out of the door came running back in out of breath. He held up his pointer finger, while his hands rested on his knees. "Before I forget...a gift, for you becoming Queen. Don't be nervous okay, you'll be a great Queen." Said Lucas, he handed her the yellow rose brooch, kissed her on the cheek, and ran out the door. He needed to sign that treaty.
He stopped at the door and smiled at the young man. "Name's Lucas, pleasure to meet you. Sorry I'm being so abrupt. I always forget such important things in the castle. We should hang out later, suitor to suitor. Or just as friends. Seriously, though I don't have many guys friends in this city. It'd be nice to have a friend I could actually spar with. Bye." Said Lucas, he wasn't at all upset about Axel's remark to him. In fact he found the guy was very laid back and seemed cool. Lucas wished he looked half as cool as Axel. Then, maybe Everlin would notice him. Lucas ran off then. Lucas was a tad jealous of Axel's smooth words and cool attitude. But he would never be mean to the man, years of being a Prince and attending court had taught him how to act polite at all times and never let your enemies know your true intentions. Not that he considered Axel an enemy; but Axel was clearly a threat to him.
How could Lucas have forgotten something so important. He normally never forgot such things. Well truth be told Lucas forgot a lot when he was around Everlin. He always became so flustered and nervous he would forget many things. Lucas hoped Everlin hadn't gotten upset he kissed her. He just hadn't wanted to be rude and comfort her. But of course he knew if she was upset he would feel the wrath of her fan. She never held back with that thing, it was like a whip.
It had been two weeks since he had last been smacked, but still he never forgot such things as her having a weapon on her at all times; a lethal weapon. He normally never dodged either, he could. But most of the time he deserved it. Besides she wasn't the only girl who smacked him when she was angry. His mother had done the same thing, Lucas was still running down the halls and avoiding the guards and servants. But a smile appeared on his face, perhaps today would be a good day. So he had relived an awful memory, at least he had given his gift to Everlin.
Just not the way he had expected though. Lucas internally sighed at the thought. He needed to learn to be more smooth like that new suitor. He was always so...flustered with Everlin. She must find him so awkward and weird. And why was he so self conscious with her! Lucas swore silently to himself, he was such a girl when it came to Everlin.
Axel raised an eyebrow at blonde haired man as he passed by him. He would never consider himself handsome...just brute looking, only cause he was used to having dirt and snuge on face on the battlefield. "Am I allowed to call you Everlyn, then?" he asked, nowing facing the pale skinned Queen. Axel took out a paper wrapped package, and opened it lightly not wanting to ruin the package. It was a chocolate cake, with white decorated snowflakes on it. "My purpose is as the man, Lucas, said: I'm one of the suitors. I baked you this cake as a gift from my kingdom to you." he said, bowing his head lightly, sending the Queen a small smile. "Another purpose I am here for is to get to know you, and vise versa...It looks like you can handle yourself, maybe knock a few soliders in their place with that fan of yours." he said kindly, he was kidding well partly. Axel took a step forward towards the Queen, and his eyes gazed over at her fan...He hoped he wouldn't get hit like fly aganist a fly swatter.
Hustle and bustle...Mary hated this. More than the stupid gossip about so and so, the congratulations of so and so of graduating his apprenticeship and finally owning his own Blacksmith's shop. Ahh- it was all stupid blabber that really didn't matter today, the queen's coronation and the whole marriage affair was beginning today, all her 'friends' and 'nobles' would be joining her in a massive dinner fit to feed a whole army (which they weren't going to do anyway even though it was probably the smartest choice) and then the oh so great queen would choose her king and then finally a whole kingdom can be achieved. What a great thought, right?
Mary gave a sigh and rubbed the bangs from her face in a fuss. The adrenaline in her spine crawling all around was very irritating and the twitch in her eye did not help the situation. She breathed in the fresh morning air as she slammed the door from her dead father's home and began to head down to the market to get something fancy for the queen, as she would probably be expected to later on in the day when the court and other nobles plus family friends and relatives were allowed to visit. Heading down towards the fine antique jewelry boxes and entered the small shop with her coin purse in palm. Eying a specific jewelry box that was as beautiful when the sun gleamed on its surface even when in darkness it had a certain shine. It was elegant, eloquent in nature and perfect for one of high class even though it was shaped like an egg.
She picked it up on the spot and paid for it. While the old cashier was handing the change back and wrapping the case into a soft fabric and then placing it gingerly inside a box that looked handcrafted and similar to the box itself, only more...box-like.
Leaving the store with a half-smile and a sort of enthusiasm for the day to come she placed the egg box inside her satchel and began to wander the gardens in search for a bench to relax in, to watching people walk by and a release from secluded city life, or whatever it was called.
Trinity began to feel some uneasiness after walking for some time, hearing no sounds except for the carriages that would pass by, and the chatting of women across the street. Though she was out in the open, she felt unsafe. Well who wouldn't after hearing that one of the maids was almost taken from the garden three days ago? It was a scary thought, ever since the incident all the maids have refused to go out to the garden without one of the guards with them. Trinity kept finding herself glancing behind her a few times, trying to see if there was someone following her. After turning around for what seemed to be the eighth time, Trinity sighed and lectured herself. 'Trinity Ann Moore, you are too paranoid. Why would the man who tried to kidnap Kristen try to kidnap you? Why would anyone want to? Besides, if it was you they were after in the first place, why on earth would they try to take a maid instead? Your simply crazy.' But the more Trinity tried to tell herself she was wrong, the more she felt like she was just lying to herself.
Trinity's thoughts then stopped when she heard someone clear their throat behind her. She turned around and saw it was Sir Matthew Blackburn, offering her a ride. "Good morning Sir Blackburn. I-if it won't cause you any trouble, I highly accept", Trinity replied. Being in a carriage with other people might help sooth her nerves till they got to Everlyn's castle, plus her feet were kinda starting to hurt. The smell of the fresh pastries then reminded her that she was carrying three boxes of sweets. Her mind had been so focused on the incident three days ago, she almost forgot about the parcels in her arms. "Um, w-where should I put these?"
