((sorry for the double posts but I'm going to make Venezia's post seperate from my other Pockettu's <3))
Gin had the trouble of trying to drag the klepto to the shrine. He frowned and tried pull Gypsy Roma along. "We have to hurry otherwise we will displease our God... Please try to understand..."
Gypsy Roma hummed and smiled, eyeing the various things that caught her attention. If she could just reach out and-- YANK -- she was tugged along. It snapped her out of her 'Ooo shiny... I should take that' mentality and she gracefully bowed before their God.
Gin smiled in relief and bowed as well. "....Sorry for being late." He whispered softly. It was clear festivities were underway.

Damion was definitely not good at catching things, so when he saw how hard his god threw the card, he did what his instincts always had him do and tries to make himself as small a target as possible by dropping back down to all fours, his hands held up in an attempt to protect his face from possibly being hit by the card.

Silk pushed himself to his feet, his blue eyes downcast as he brushed off his backside. He wanted to complain, but Espia wouldn't listen...or care... in fact she seemed to have utterly abandoned him. He heard the word Card, Quick, and catch. Which made the little pockettu glance up. Ah...just in time to catch a card right between the eyes. "UAGH!" He yelped as the sharp edge of the card jabbed through the thin flesh on his forehead just a few centimeters between each of his eyebrows. Silk's arms flailed up, and down he went again, though this time he fell flat on his back. The palms of both his hands were pressed between his eyes as he squinted them shut. The card fluttered and flopped after striking Silk, and landed with almost perfect precision on his chest.
Espia on the other hand was rather joyful. her eyes darted about, eying the gathered flock as it were. She kept her hands to herself of course. She didn't steal from Venezia's own. She had to have -some- rules to live by, right? When Venezia spoke of cards, her head tilted to one side. Oooh a game? Of course it was a game! Espia's tail straightened on it's end, and when she spied the card aimed for her with such perfect accuracy, she snapped her hand in the air to catch it. The inside of her palm was cut faintly due to the edge and speed of the card, but this meant little to her as she turned the card over to read it's surface. Casually she lifted her hand to her lips and gave the beading blood little licks, her tail swaying behind her with pleasure at the curious game.

Gypsy watched the others. Some were nicked with cards while others were met with a more devastating force. Cards couldn't be lethal... right? Then again these cards were in the hands of a God so... better be safe than sorry. She kept her eyes fixated on their beloved lord and she tried her best to dodge the card that was thrown at her. Her best left her with a small wound upon her arm that ripped into her sleeve. She contained a sigh - whether it be of relief or sorrow, she dared not tell - and plucked the card from the fresh wound. She wanted to say something, anything, but she was too scared to speak.
Gin on the other hand was not so lucky. He was met with a card to the face. A small cut ran along his cheek. The only luck that fabled lady bestowed upon him was that he could cover the would be scar if needed with his hair. A faint bow, begging for forgiveness was all he could do as his knees gave a telltale sign of the fear that rattled through his body. "M-my apologizes for not catching it, Lord Venezia..." Gin soon frowned a bit and cautiously went over to Silk to see if he was alright. He extended a trembling hand out to the dancer. "...You okay?" He whispered softly.

"Ah, ah", Venezia chimed and swayed his sleeved hand around. "Leave the fool who fell for now. He has yet to read what his card says! As have you." He smiled and laughed. His laugh was not evil but more bemused this time. The God was merely playing and having a good time. Sometimes it was easy to forget that his jester-like Pockettu was a God at all. "Shall we see what the cards say?"
Waiting patiently took a lot from Venezia. He was always in a rush, always eager to entertain and create laughter, fear, excitement, and more. It was simply a part of his nature. The numbers vanished from the cards and soon words or rather instructions appeared. The God decided to make it suspenseful and neglected to see what his followers had acquired. He was content with knowing that the more common theme for today's game was training related. They had slacked off since the Carnival's end.

Deker had no reason why he had not visited his god since the festivities. He had spent a lot of time sitting around doing nothing. As all the fun had disappeared with the carnival. In his boredom he finally decided to go see his god. As he drew near he could tell there was something going on inside and his interest was peaked. He strolled right in through the doorway and looked around with his scrutinizing gaze. Unfazed about being late, he let his gaze fall onto his god. A small smile creeping onto his lips he folded his arms and leaned casually against the wall.
Zeran, always the dramatic, had entered the temple silently and discreetly. He lurked in a dark corner waiting for the most opportune moment to reveal himself, wanting to make a showy entrance.

One wouldn't have thought getting hit by a card would hurt. But it did! Silk was sure he'd seen a flash of light..or maybe that was just his eyes blinking reflex like at the danger of something getting in them. All he knew was that from now on...he wasn't going to be playing any of those 'Throw the Ball' games on the midway for a while.
Silk heard a rather soft voice speaking over him, and he opened his eyes to see the outstretched hand of Gin. With a faint smile, he started to reach for the offered hand. That was nice of him to ask him if he was okay...but the voice of Venezia kept him from actually making contact. His hand withdraw and..well..a faint pink of embarrassment started to color his cheeks. "I..ah...fine...thank you..." He did whisper softly to the other. Silk kept one hand on his forehead between his eyes, mostly to keep his cut from bleeding down his face. He didn't think the cut was bad, but you never knew with head wounds! He had heard somewhere they just bled more then other cuts.
Silk reached down to his chest and picked the card off it so he could finally sit up. He was..curious to say the least. All he had was a five of diamonds it seemed. What did that mean? Silk glanced up at Gin and whispered to the other. "What did you get? Mines just...oh?" After asking Gin what he had gotten, Silk had peered back at his card, and was astonished to say the least to see the marking fade away. Words were appearing now and..well...he forgot about his cut to be quiet honest.
There was nothing on her card...nothing that really -said- anything. Espia scowled as she turned the card over on it's back to scrutinize the design. maybe it was hidden. A puzzle? She couldn't see any hint of that though. her tail started to snap back and forth, much like a cat's when it was terribly upset. heedless of whom she might actually strike with it's arrowhead tip of course.
Her card was..well...it wasn't a bad card as far as Espia was concerned. She'd caught herself the Joker card from the deck. In a way that tickled her, considering it was so very much like her dear God. But on the other hand...where were the instructions? Hissing under her breath, Espia turned her head and tried to peek at someones else card. She missed the fading of the face as the words started to appear in it's place because of this.
((Not sure if we're supposed to decide what is on the cards or not? If so I'll have it show up in my next post for these two ^w^ Muwahaahaa))

Damion felt the card smack into his clawed hands where they'd been protecting his face. He hisses slightly, then picks the card up from where it had fallen after, inching away from all the others in the room with a low growl of warning to any coming close to him. He looks at the card and just stares at it as it fades to be replaced with words.

Jianjun remained silent.
While he had taken a moment to himself, thinking about what the God had said to him, his moment of in action had let him wide open for any impending "attacks."
"Whoa!" he said as he saw many dealing with cards being flung about in menacing manners. Venezia was no fool with these cards and before he realized, in the chaos of it all, Jianjun was cut across his neck, a card slicing through his right side.
"Ow...!" He exclaimed and brought his hand to his neck. He frowned at the sharp and sudden pain... A card?
He walked over, carefully, to pick up the very card that struck him.

Venezia did not let the newcomers go unnoticed. With a snap of his fingers the lights went out for a moment then shined upon the two who were so foolishly late. "Let's give me a round of applause, shall we~? They finally dragged their sorry hides here to join the show!" A wicked smile was concealed behind that mask. Why yes, he had potentially ruined Zeran's flare and possibly startled the others. There were times when Venezia was in fact flat out rude or inconsiderate. But in comedy all is fun and games, especially when someone gets hurt.
Snap.
The lights of the shrine flickered back on and Venezia closed his eyes for a moment. "Hmm..." He pressed a finger to his veiled lips in thought. One by one he began to read the cards his followers were given. In the process he flicked two towards the stragglers.
* Gin had to walk on his hands, up on the tightrope for the remainder of the shrine visit.
* Espia had to balance on a ball and juggle bowling pins for the remainder as well.
* Damion was unfortunate and had to crab walk through out the shrine, up on the rafters. Venezia had his reasoning.
* Gypsy had to dance while balancing fragile, and valuable, plates on her head.
* Jianjun and Silk were left with the task of trying to distract the others. How? Well that was up to them to decide.
"In a carnival, one must expect the unexpected. One must gather the courage in order to perform flawlessly. One must not let their mind wander or... costly... mistakes can be made." Venezia stepped closer to the majority of the group. "Consider this training. You may now begin."
(( Have fun with this guys, you can make your Pockettu as derp or as serious as you'd like on this matter. Carnivals are supposed to be fun and although Venezia can be terrifying, he wants them to enjoy themselves during training sessions |D!))

Gin felt bad for the two who were picked out in Venezia's fashion. It must have been embarrassing... but then again someone might take it as a blessing their God took the time to acknowledged them. All Gin knew if that were him, his cheeks would be flushed red. "Mine says..." Gin frowned when the card turned white and another second later, as his God spoke his directions the words appeared on the card. "A-ah!" He almost dropped the card and quickly covered his mouth. He could feel his hands ache already from the wire cutting into his skin. But if his lord wishes it so.. who is he to disappoint?
Gypsy looked around. There were no plates around. None. At least that's what she thought until she looked down by her feet and there awaited plates. "Huh..." She smiled and picked them up. Together, they were heavy. She frowned at that. Where was Jaska when she needed him? He was good at weight lifting, she wasn't. She thought about it and realized Venezia indeed could be cruel. Struggling for a moment she managed to get the plates on her head. She felt the weight and strain in her neck and shoulders. "Ugh..." A sigh escaped her delicate lips and soon she carefully took her first step and proceeded to dance. At first being anything but graceful. She was more worried about the plates than the moves she made.

Deker didn't so much as flinch as the spotlight was shifted to him. His small grin remained as his mis-matched eyes looked at his god. Unfolding his arms he clapped his hands slowly a few times in response to Venezia's words. Out of the corner of his eye he noted, but could have cared less about the disgruntled centar that had also taken the spotlight with him. Lowering his hands he watched everyone in the room with interest about this 'game' his great god had planned for them. His scrutinizing eyes glinted, ready for anything despite the fact he looked to just be casually leaning against the wall.
Zeren frowned as he was suddenly and unexpectedly bathed in the spotlight. Unhappy that his god had stolen away his grand entrance. It also bothered him that he had to share the spotlight with another, who had the opacity to applaud. With a huff he twirled his red staff, tucking it away on his back as the light faded back to his god. He watched and listened, still upset he hadn't been able to make his grand entrance.

Damion tilts his head to the side slightly as he read the instructions on the card. Looking around, he clacks his teeth together for a moment before skittering to look for some way to get up into the rafters. Lacking wings, he couldn't very well fly up there, now could he? He frowns slightly in thought, tapping his long nails against one of his knees as he crouches beside a pillar to think. Looking down, he finally decides to try climbing the pillar to the rafters using the long nails on his hands that his God had gifted to him when he had entered into Venezia's service. Perhaps they really were more than just for scaring the bajeezus out of others? Wriggling his clawed hands, he turns towards the pillar and scowls at it for a moment before attempting to climb. It was a long and difficult task, since he lacked the same claws on his feet, but, after almost falling off a few times, he finally manages to make it up to the rafters and hisses slightly before dropping to what he hoped was a crab like pose and proceeded to skitter around on the rafters. Like a crab, he hoped, cause he didn't want to face punishment if he was failing.

Espia stared at her card and tilted her head. She wondered if perhaps her task had been assigned to her because it was something she could perform? She could balance very easily. She did enjoy walking the high wire after all. Juggling she did often as well. Though with regular round balls, the bowling pins were not as simple as that. Still, she didn't see how hard it would be to adjust. Espia cast her glance around the temple until she found the items she needed right next to her. In a temple dedicated to a carnival God, it made sense that certain objects would be used to create a sort of ambiance, right? She must have just missed them earlier. Espia nudged a medium sized ball thoughtfully. It was something big enough for both her feet to get on, but not so big she ran the danger of losing control and hitting someone. Gripping it with her toes she felt confident in her control. She gave the ball a little testing roll, to make it move forwards as she weighed the bowling pins in her hands. Yes..they were quiet awkward. She would have preferred to have taken smaller ones if they had been available. All there was here were large heavy pins that made her wrists ache a little. She tossed one up in the air a few times, to catch it one handed until she got a good feel for their weight and how fast they would spin. Once she was confident enough, she began to toss the pins in the air. Her tail snapped about back and forth like a agitated cat's as she focused on the familiar but not too easy task laid upon her. If she had not been on the ball this would have been easy...but the challenge of keeping her balance while handling awkward pins had her teetering from one side to the other, her tail barely helping her to keep from falling off...though she doubted it would bode well for anyone to get behind her. She'd probably crack them with her tail and never notice.
Silk gaped at his card. His cheeks immediately turned red with embarrassment...before he even did anything! His blue eyes lifted and darted around the room as people started to do as their cards stated. Silk took his and tucked it carefully into the wrap of ribbon around his left wrist. Well...if he had to distract he already had the perfect means. Silk glanced at Gin, and felt uncomfortable 'harassing' him with his attempts to distract. Instead his eyes lifted upwards, to where the strange looking pockettu was walking around the rafter on his hands...backwards? How odd! But he was far too high up for Silk to distract. The zebra centaur and the very brightly colored boy didn't seem to be doing anything yet for him to distract them from... So all that left was the girl with plates on her head. He wasn't going anywhere near Espia with her tail snapping around like a water hose turned on full blast and let loose. Silk watched Gypsy for a few moments, then steeled his nerve some. He stretched his right arm out behind him, then with a quick flick of his wrist forwards, he attempted to snap the end of his dancer's ribbon as close to Gypsy's nose as he could manage...he only hoped he didn't actually hit her....
