Positive and Negatives nozomi_ga_kanau "Yashi... we can't just keep escaping the house whenever Akuti tries to hold you, you know." His voice was soft, slightly scolding, but far from angry. The fiercely pierced man was carting his silent son through the roads of the area, bouncing the little fox-kit on his hip.
Yashima, typically, kept silent, wide golden eyes scanning through the area. He could... He could feel something in the air. Something was different - he could feel it. Patrick, not understanding that his kit was actually thinking instead of just staring at things, continued to talk on about the crazy situation at home.
"I know Akilah bites but just smack him in the head. I know you have the motor skills for that. Lahela... You just have to pinch her beak is all, Yashi! I mean, really... they're easy to deal with. Staring at me won't make me let us leave any sooner."
He was talking to himself, explaining his own reasonings to the air and his own brain, rather then his sons. Yashi just cuddled against him, cheek pressing against the others shoulder. His tail curled a bit, the fluffy black and blue harsh against Patricks white shirt, ears lying flat on his skull.
....it was still a little cold out... Indubitably Malum was not a happy camper.
It was chilly, and the boy definately wasn't a fan of the cooler temperatures, a tiny scowl on his deceptively angelic face as he pressed it down further into his blanket, body encased by the babycarrier strapped to a young, redheaded woman's back.
Strapped to her front, however, was a happier, awe-struck little girl. Levis' darker-aligned face was lit with wonder, and she seemed extremely pleased to be able to see her breath when she breathed out, fingers trying to gently hold it.
Indu, the young woman, looked rather nuetral, a bored expression on her face. She wasn't out for a stroll, instead, she was simply trying to get to the autoshop where her bike was. She hated hoofing it. nozomi_ga_kanau Patrick hadn't been able to ride his bike since aqquiring his first child, Iamel. He missed it, damnit. But it was at that moment that Yashima chose to make a quiet noise, small, chubby hand reaching out towards the two girls and the angry young boy.
"Gyahaba!" He gabbed out, voice a rare thing for him. Patrick paused, lips twisting slightly into a frown, ruffling at the others hair gently.
"What is it, kit? Something sparkly?" Yashima ignored him, communicating the only way he knew how - making a slight noise and trying to grab at it. Pierced eyebrows arched, body twisting to ... see some lady with twins strapped to her?
He had that contraption! It was nifty.
"It's just some girl, Yashi. You don't like girls?"
"Gyahabababa!" Indubitably "Excuse me?"
What a p***k! 'Just some girl!' Indu didn't say THAT kind of s**t when HER kids were interested in something! Actually, she didn't say anything, in all honesty. Because Levis WAS interested. Usually, the slightly grumpy redhead would have just trudged past the man, but noooo, Patrick had to be talking to the boy. And the little boy had cat ears. Gods, did Indu not like those. Still, he was sort of cute. For a baby.
"Relax Lee, it's just some boy!"
Levis wrinkled her nose up at her mother, slightly puzzled, but then turned her green eyes over to Yashima, blowing a puff of white air toward him curiously.
"Oi?"
Malum hated being on the back, but ever since he'd made the mistake of hitting Indu several times in the breasts, he'd been stuck back there. Where he missed most of the action. A little fist came up to strike his adoptive mother's shoulder blade, and she winced a little uncomfortably. He snickered.
"Ahah." nozomi_ga_kanau "Excuse what?" The dark man glanced up from his silent son, eyebrows arching easily on that high forehead. "I was talking to Yashi--"
"Gahahababa!" That time..it was almost a shriek from the child, small body twisting violently in Patricks grasp. He gave a business-like yelp of alarm and his arms tightened. Patricks red and black eyes jolted up to the angry redhead, eyes narrowing tightly in his skull. "Boogah!"
"Did you by chance-" He grunted, for Yashima suddenly went still, staring up at the woman in perfect placidity, a sweet little smile curled on his lips, "Happen to stop by a Wande Shoppe?" Indubitably The question startled Indu so much that she actually answered it, her snort of laughter wry and self-mocking.
"Stop by? Hah, you mean forced to? Sure. I guess that's what it was. Some freak-woman dumped these brats on me."
Her gaze, however, was on Yashima. Why did he get such a cute, quiet little thing? Sure, Levis was nice, but she came in a double package...
Levis, seeming to consider the term an endearing nickname, gave Patrick a gorgeous, is shy smile, cheeks a little pink, before blowing another white gust at the two males, and pulling her blanket up to cover the lower half of her face, to the bridge of her nose.
Malum was not liking this. A loud warcry from the boy, and both his hands shot up to grip the ends of Indu's short hair, tugging before they slipped off.
"AWWRRAAAAAAAGHH!"
Indu's breath was a sharp gasp, and her red eyes narrowed, hands going back to easily undo the straps holding Malum in, and gripping him by the back off his shirt, pulling him up, out, and to the front of her, like a cat gripping the nape of a kitten's neck.
"MALUM REEVER! Cut that OUT!"
The malicious twinkle in his green eyes said otherwise, and he shot a wicked grin to Levis, before turning that gaze on Yashima. nozomi_ga_kanau "...Figures that's what would make Yashima make noise." He snorted, head shaking quickly. "They grew fast, though? They didn't become gusts of colored air?" Patrick was curious and it didn't stop him from smiling back at that adorable little bundle of cuteness.
Yashima just looked amused. There was a BOYCREATURE! FINALLY! A boycreature who wasn't his father or siblings - a boything just like him, just his age! How happy was HE geeking out?!
Silently. Stoicly. In his head, of course.
Instead of giggling, the little fox-kit just stared back at Malum, pushing his chubby fist into his mouth to suck and gum at. He didn't look away from the boys stare - the older male met it eye-to-eye, nose crinkling up delicately. Indubitably Mal's grin turned to a sneer as his green eyes ran over the other boys small body. He, actually, prefered females, as in his household, they appeared to be both smarter, and stronger. Not that Malum liked anyone. Well, he liked Levis. Sorta. And that Coailiann girl... But still, those were girls.
Indu stepped closer, a frown on her face, until they were only inches apart, thinking over what he said. Gusts of colored air? What kind of crack was THIS dude smoking?
"Ah, no, this is how I got them. Along with this... Wand, thing, I guess."
A glance down showed the wand sticking out of her sidebag, something Levis would never leave the house without. Malum didn't seem to care about it much though.
Levis was the one to giggle aloud, and she reached out to touch Patrick, deciding that Yashima was more interested in her brother. She hadn't seen any adult men before. Big boy.
Oh, Malum reached out to touch too. If you could call letting a fist fly, since they were rather close. It sailed toward Yashima with startling accuracy for a little boy like himself. nozomi_ga_kanau "Ooooh.. You've got yourself a Coailiann too then... Usually, they're supposed to become air or something like it and THEN a baby.. Something like that. It's What Yashima did." Patricks free hand waved slightly at that..before moving to tickle at Levis' palm, a grin still on that rather pretty face at that.
"And what's your name, pretty girl? I'm sure Kay's gonna be jealous of having you around~" Okay, so he gets squishy around babies. He had about seven of his own AND he was pregnant!
...yeah, don't ask about that part.
Yashima saw the fist coming. Oh, no, couldn't have that! Violence was a NO NO in his house and it was a NO NO here too! His hand jerked out of his mouth, sticky and damp with baby dribble, flailing at the hand nearing him and gums moving to try and chomp down.
Nonononono! Indubitably "Coailiann...? I know that name. Cute little thing. Like yours, there. Yashima, is it?"
She couldn't help it. As a child, and a teen, she'd only seen men abuse things, and guys that were gentle, and liked children always made her happy.
Levis' tinkling laughter lit up the cold, and in contradiction with her more demonic looks, she eyes were bright with good. She knew her own name, but unfortunately, she hadn't yet mastered the use of her tongue.
"Leeee."
At least she could get out the nickname, right?.
"That's Levis, and her brother here is Malum... As you heard."
Indu's gaze flicked down, and she was horrified to see the tiny fist propelling toward the fox-boy, about to reach out and stop him when instead, a tiny hand on his upper arm made his face darken, but the motion halt.
Levis.
She was the quiet one, the gentle one, and Malum seemed to control everything. But when you're not worried about LOOKING like you're in charge, you can actually BE in charge. The little girl was the boss here, even if no one but the twins knew it. nozomi_ga_kanau "She's the only girl yashima will ever touch, other then one of his sisters... She's adorable. Learning to talk too." He grinned quickly, glancing up at the woman in question. "Are these two your first sprogglets?"
Yeah. First two. Once you started 'collecting' children in Gaia... You find it hard to stop. He even adopted a lover! Kind of. Sort of. "Levis and Malum.. Yep, this is Yashima. He's a kitsune. What are your kiddlets?"
Yashima scowled at the stopped hand, pushing his fist right back into his mouth... but his tail flicked towards Levis. So. Another good female! He could get used to those... the boys he met seemed to be jerks. "Veeee." He muttered in agreement. Indubitably "Sprogglets? Mmmn. Far from it. Gods..."
Indu let out a long sigh, the tall woman's gaze flicking to the ground as she shifted the twins in her arms. She couldn't help but notice how small Patrick was, and that actually made her feel more comfortable. At 6'1" she was a tall girl, and she definately liked that fact. Kept her at more even ground with most men.
"... Far from it. All of them have been accidental, really. I just can't say no to the kids that need a home, a good home. I know what it's like to have a shitty one."
Levis patted her brother's arm one more time, before flicking her warm eyes toward Yashima. He was a pretty thing, and she liked those. And his ears moved funny. Like Ka's, Neme's panther. Only not. Hesitantly, her fingertips reached out toward them, wanting to touch, but extremely shy about it. If he flinched away, the poor girl would probably be crushed. nozomi_ga_kanau "How many do you have? I have... eight?" He paused at that, eyebrows knitting together as he counted that in his skull. Slim shoulders rose and fell, red and ebony eyes sliding up, up, up! towards the woman, full lips peeling back into a quiet grin. "And it always happens by accident. Only one of mine hasn't been an accident..."
Even the one inside of him. Oh yeah. Accidents ruled everything.
Her comment about shitty homes made him pause, head tilting up slightly. Unlike most, he had been gifted with parents who gave a damn and raised him right. "I just can't say no to things that need someone."
Yashima just watched her. His eyes flicked, yes, but they moved towards her fingers, rather then away. Pets? Pets were good things. Pets were happy things! Girls - like Kay and Lee? - liked to give pets. Indubitably Indu straight up burst into laughter, causing Malum to scowl at her as if she'd been doing drugs. That she'd stolen from him.
"Only eight?! Jeeze, I wish! The Reever clan is gigantic! Kids I got when they were older are already starting subbranches of the family in my house! Luckily, we all work, a lot, so the house is rather huge. There's upwards of 30 underagers in my home, most of which answer to me. Or, are supposed to... "
Indu also had a pair of her own twins, that were VERY accidental. Who expected another GIRL to get you pregnant?! Hah. Certainly not anyone who's ever learned ANYTHING about reproduction.
Levis' continued her fingers' slow journey across the small space between their parents, and let them brush against his ears lightly, the feeling of the fur making her eyes light up, and a smile grow on her slightly colored cheeks. Unlike most children, that could pet too hard, Levis was always gentle, and the strokes she applied to Yashima's head and ears were light, affectionate touches. He had more hair than Malum did, and it was nice to play with.
Oh hell no. Mal was not into this. Uh-uh, no way. That Yashima-thing was going to regret this. Oh yeah, he was. Little Malum's green eyes were dark with fury and... Hate? nozomi_ga_kanau "Thirty?"
Oh, THAT made the scientest gawk. He could hardly handle the eight he had..the eight psycho ones... the one growing in him..god, it hurt his head SO MUCH. That head was shaken thusly, nose crinkling up slightly. "Thirty... Holy s**t. I couldn't handle thirty.. I have a hard enough time with the eight we have... Yashima is the ONLY sane one, I swear to the gods."
A shudder ran through him at that.
Yashima murred quietly in his pleasure at the pets, skull tilting closer to her fingers. It felt sooooo good. Even Coailiann only patted at it...not...scritched! Didn't touch his eaaaaars and it felt sooooo loooooovely that he was absolutely melting against her and his fathers arm, fingers flexing quietly, tail curling tightly around his ankles. "Gaba..." Indubitably Ever hear a pure gasp of joy? No, you haven't, not until you heard the sound that escaped little Levis' throat to find that Yashima enjoyed her touch. She was extremely shy, which coupled with the fact that the few times she put herself out there, she was shunned, had made her reluctant to reach out to others. Other children, that is. She loved adults, since they loved her.
"Shiiiii...!"
The scritching continued, and the little girls' smile grew to a full on beam, her cheerful green eyes dancing upwards to meet Patrick's. He was a nice boycreature. A big one, but a nice one.
Indu colored slightly under her tan, and nodded, answering quietly.
"Yeeeahh, though, the older one's help out, in their own ways, and my sister just moved in with her best friend. ALL the kids listen to Dakota, even Mal."
That was because Dakota Reever was a badass Dhamphir. You don't ******** with that.
Malum took that opportunity to attack his charming sister, sinking what little teeth he had into her shoulder, and causing her to whimper, more out of shock than any pain. How DARE she betray him for the pansy-thing?! nozomi_ga_kanau Patrick was concentrating on Indu at that moment - he was distracted! He didn't notice that gleeful expression of the girlchild, eyebrows arching high on his forehead. "The oldest I have looks about...eight. Who knows? Maybe I'll number with you one day."
Yashima continued to purr and wriggle his happy little self against the girl, head pressing closer with a little murmur. Oh, how he loved his pets! While he wasn't a very vocal child - at all - for pets like these he was purring and mewling and urging himself closer.. What a glorious person he's met! A good pettingperson!
...who was just bitten?!
While he only had one or two teeth, that ducked, complacent head jerked upwards, malice in those usually calm golden eyes. What happened next jerked Patrick out of his conversation - Yashima bared his baby-mouth and hissed at the offending male. Indubitably Indu also immediantly fell silent, staring slack-jawed at the children between the two adult bodies.
Malum was startled into releasing his sister's shoulder, green eyes narrowing quickly, defensively as he began to growl, barring his own tiny, sparse teeth.
Levis... Didn't know how she felt, exactly. Her fingers were still in Yashima's hair, shoulder damp from her brother's mouth. She felt an urge to protect her twin, an incredibly strong one, but a large chunk of her felt... Good. Perhaps because someone other than her kin wanted to protect HER? That was a rarity...
"Shiii, 'Umm!"
Her gentle, soothing tone stated what she could of both boys' names, and she widened her eyes at them, appealing for a small truce. Perhaps they could stop before something bad happened?
Indu didn't step back, although she wanted to, afraid that it would end up in Yashima's hair getting pulled, and instead raised both brows high.
"... Maybe we should go...? But still... Levis seems to like him. He'd be her first friend, pretty much... Uhm... You willing to exchange contact info...?" nozomi_ga_kanau "He..uh..usually doesn't do that. Sorry about that... Yashi! Stop hissing at the ni...at the winged boything." Patricks voice was slow, fingers moving quietly to the fingers grasping his sons hair, tickling gently at Levis' wrist to make her let it go.
"C'mon, baby... Stop being a jerk, ok? Be nice to the other kid." Dark eyes glanced up at Indu, lips quirking into a smile. "Sure I am. Not like you're going to stalk me - my lover is a bit possesive. I have a pen that I can get to but..uh... my son is kind of growling at yours..."
Indeed he was. Yashima, who couldn't bear to see unwarrented pain being caused on an innocent being, h ad shifted from hisses to a matching growl towards the younger boy. Patrick, once the baby wasn't holding his son, took a quick step back. "Clash of interests, prehaps, for them? He seems to dig Levis, though." Indubitably "Indeed."
It seemed to be a sufficiant reply for all of his wordy comments, and Indu wriggled Malum into the back carrier, ignoring his feral growls, and strapped him in, before grabbing a pen from her back pocket. Clicking it so the tip was out, she poised it over her palm, ready to write down his info.
"Mmmn, I'll just call, probably when Mal's busy doing something else, and hookup a playdate for them, alright?"
Levis seemed pleased with that, wide green eyes locked on Yashima's slightly larger figure. nozomi_ga_kanau "Patrick White, my number is..." And he rattled off his information, pulling out his own pen, scribbling the title 'Twins! One evil, one not so much' on his dark brown palm. "What's the number?"
While they made pleasentries, Yashima stared back at her, his mouth once more occupied by the firm ball of his fist, sucking at it enthusiastically. He liked her a LOT more then he liked the boything. Indubitably "Kal--Indu Reever..."
After a brief slip up on her own name, the young woman gave him two of her home's phonelines, seeing as the household was so large that they needed many, and laughed.
"It was nice meeting you, and your 'Sprogglet'... See yah 'round."
Levis bent and wiggled her fingers in a tiny wave as Indu backed up a few steps before turning and heading quickly in the direction of the autoshop.
Great, now she was late for pick-up.

Indu, Malum, Levis, Youko, Shavri, Ianna, Lethe Indu sighed as she approached the familiar door in a certain wand shoppe, her twins in their familiar places in her baby carrier. Levis in the front, and Malum in the back. She'd parked her motorcycle outside, and had the helmet under one arm as she twisted the knob, walked through, and was...
... Right next to the front desk in the GotP HQ. Not immediantly spotting anyone, not that she was looking, the tall redhead set her helmet on the desk, and strolled farther in, quickly unstrapping Malum and depositing him on the floor before he could demand that she do so.
He was getting worse, the older he got. He'd gone from growling, to pushing, to biting Levis, to biting random strangers that were foolish enough to put a body part within his grip.
Levis, on the other hand, was still shy, but coming out of her shell, and was showing a bright curiousity to match her brother's more destructive one.
"Mal, don't chew the furniture."
A giggle from Levis made Indu smile, as she took her time removing the darkly aligned girl from her own holding pouch.
Dixie strolled down the street, a determined expression on her oddly-colored face. Lately she had found herself around this neighborhood a lot, and it was starting to be more than a little annoying. There it was. The Wand Shoppe. If she was going to be preoccupied with this place to the point of showing up here every time she was alone, the former criminal was going to do something about it. The little stick in her back pocket warmed slightly and she grabbed at it, bringing it around so she could address it properly. "None of that," she said, watching the tiny grapes swing with the motion of her hand.
She kept the wand in her grasp as she pushed open the door and headed inside. Empty. That woman had said she was welcome in the back, so Dixie pressed on. She seemed to recall some video games back there.
"Hello?" she called out before opening the door. She stepped into Headquarters, scooting off to one side to avoid the baby on the floor. "Hi. I didn't think anyone would be here."
It seemed that everyone was arriving. Youko had slipped into the shop as well, finally letting out the breath he'd been holding and slipped the Ziploc baggie off the end of the wand he held. Once he'd determined that the wisp was even THERE, he'd noted how it seemed to sway in the breeze. With the wind having kicked up that day, there was no WAY he'd take it out of the house with some kind of protection.
It was Raven who'd suggested the baggie. And after Youko got done protesting in horror, she'd wrapped the baggie around the wand and unceremoniously shoved him out the door. It had worked, and the wind hadn't phased the little wisp of mist at all. Then again, the baggie hadn't phased it either and it seemed perfectly content in there.
Now, however, he could leave the baggie aside and shoved it into his pocket as he moved towards the entryway to the headquarters itself. "Anyone home?" he called as he stepped through, toeing his shoes off at the entrance and leaving them aside. "Ianna?"
Ianna was fretting. Coailiann had been asleep for a good few days in her room, and she had absolutely no idea why. She'd never dealt with growths beyond toddler before, so...She had absolutely no clue what was really going on.
Walking rather quickly down the hall, Ianna stopped and looked around the headquarters. Rather full today, it was, "Well hello there," she greeted, feigning cheerfulness.
"How are all of you today?"
The silver haired woman moved to her desk, pulling herself upwards to perch on the dark wood of it, waiting for the many answers she was sure to receive.
Lethe had been all over the city looking for one tiny shop and was, needless to say, not having the luckiest of times with it. Maybe if they were at all marked clearly... How hard would it have been to have a picture of old, ancient things on the storefront? Honestly, did they expect that everyone could read? Was this young-person discrimination?
The young Fa'e peered cautiously into the Wand Shoppe, barely over the threshold. Well, it seemed like the right sort of place -- dusty and dirty with weird looking things everywhere. Noting that there was certainly no lack of activity here, Lethe decided it was safe and finally stepped inside, immediately scuffling off to one side to be partly out of the way and partly not immediately noticeable.
Odd. Everybody seemed to have a stick of some sort -- except for the person with the babies, of course (unless she was hiding her stick somewhere else.) Even the walls were lined with equally shiny and colorful sticks; was it a requirement to have one before coming in? Would anyone notice that she didn't have one?
Malum was startled by the woman entering behind him, and he didn't like the feeling. Even as the boy's green eyes narrowed, Indu spotted the change in him, and charged past Youko to grab up the baby one handed just as he tried to pounce Dixie and possibly bite her.
"Dammit, Malum! No biting the people, either! Sorry about that, miss."
The angelic looking child gave her a large, overly-innocent grin, malice glinting in his eyes as he was set back down on the large sofa. Indu, sighing once more and petting Levis' head, smiled wearily and answered Ianna's question, somewhat late.
".... Just fine... Ianna. We're doing just fine. How're you? And where's Miss Coailiann?"
At the sound of the familiar, and well liked name, Mal and Lee looked about interestedly. Was their 'friend' here, too?
Dixie backed up some more at the mention of biting babies. She held her stick out in front of her until the little angelic-looking kid was taken away. Malum, was it? She'd just stay over here.
Swapping the wand to her other hand, Dixie gave a small wave to Ianna and the new arrivals, doing a double take at the sight of another stick, this one with a pale, misty wisp sticking out of it. Would hers do that too? Being motherly toward a stick was hard enough without things poking out of it. She schooled her expression into a nicer one, not wanting to seem standoffish toward this new group of weirdos she'd been thrust into.
Youko was apparently used to children... and those that had the unenviable job of herding them. As Indu dove past him, he easily slid aside, clearing the way for her to latch onto her wayward son. Hopefully, his own new arrival would be a BIT less inclined towards gnawing on the patrons.
"Good afternoon, Ianna," he said, bowing politely to the woman. He was about to say more, but one ear dropped slightly as he tilted his head to the side. "What's wrong?" he asked, voice dropping just enough that only Ianna could hear him. "You look stressed."
Ianna's eyes locked to Indu, a small smile on her lips as she went to fetch Malum. Vaguely she wondered if a muzzle would be helpful to keep the young angelic male from turning her guardians into chew toys. Perhaps she'd suggest that.
"Coailiann is..." she took a deep breath, "She's not waking up. She's been asleep for two days..." fiddling with her sweater slightly, she sighed, "I don't know...I just...I..."
Yeah. Elegant.
Not.
"I just don't know what's going on. She's breathing okay, and she seems healthy...She just won't wake up."
When she lifted her head to look at the people filled room, she raised a brow. THERE was someone she'd not seen before, "Hello, are you lost?"
Completely forgetting the distress she was in, Ianna slid from the desk and started towards Lethe.
"Lost?" Lethe wrinkled her nose, trying to quickly determine whether this lady meant the figurative meaning of the word or if she was just really confused. "No, I am Lethe," she decided, mentally having to admit that there really were children with some strange names out there. Best not to insult her by implying otherwise, right?
"I am looking for magic things," She explained further, just in case she meant the other meaning too. She had meant to say something further about leaving if this was private, but both the mention of somebody sleeping for far too long and the fact that that baby just bit someone clearly distracted her.
"Maybe she's hibernating?" She suggested idly to the other lady (even though it was clearly none of her business), eyebrows furrowing as she observed said biting baby. Did -- did that other girl taste good or something? No one seemed surprised -- was this normal?
Levis now sitting beside her brother, shot Lethe a giant grin, full of welcome. The little girl -looked- demonic in nature, but was a definate sweetheart, and was working hard not to be shy. Besides, Lethe wasn't as big as the other people in the room, and she was pretty. In an odd way.
Malum, a bit put-out about being so far away from anyone besides Lee, crawled to the edge of the couch, and with a thump, hit soft carpet. The little boy was on the move once more, toward... His previous target. Dixie.
Indu, rolling her eyes, didn't move to intercept him, and instead turned to speak with Ianna, before realizing how rude she'd been.
"I'm sure she'll wake up soon... Oh... Forgive me."
Glancing around the room, she gave a self-concious smile, and brushed strands of hair from her face.
"I'm Indu, and those two are Malum and Levis."
That girl, that Coailiann? She'd been sleeping for two days? Again, not something Dixie wanted to have to deal with. Stupid sticks.
Dixie's eyes narrowed as she saw Malum advancing toward her. She crouched on the ground and lay her wand in front of her before putting her hands behind her back. Either the baby would be distracted or he'd end up biting pant leg, either of which was fine with her.
Hibernating sounded like a possibility, but Dixie didn't want to agree in case it was something more serious. She went with, "I hope Coailiann's all right," before returning Indu's introduction with one of her own. "I'm Dixie." Niceties out of the way, Dixie turned her attention back to the crawling terror.
Youko frowned, remembering the bright and cheerful little girl that he'd met when he'd received his wand. "I hope she feels better soon," he whispered, remembering how Omi had grown. "Perhaps..." he paused then, not sure if he should say that or not. Finally, he decided that he should. "My daughter, Nozomi... every time she's grown, she passes into an almost comalike state. Completely unresponsive. But she comes out of it fine on her own."
Smiling, he cradled the wand close to him. "Hopefully the same is happening to Coailiann."
Ianna raised a brow at the young girl, "Lethe. Pretty name..Reminds me of greek mythology..." she shrugged her shoulders, "Perhaps she is, but do Sidhe hibernate?"
She paused, pursing her lips a moment, "Well, there are magical things here, but unfortunately, I don't have any for sale...You may find random artifacts in the library or the gardens though..."
Upon hearing Dixie and Youko, Ianna turned from Lethe, "Thank you Dixie...And I certainly hope that's all it is, Youko...She's become precious to me, believe it or not. Brattiness and all."
Seemed she would be a busy woman today, "I think you should get a muzzle for Mal just in case Coailiann ends up waking and they get into another mess like last time...Besides, I don't think Dixie would enjoy becoming a chew toy..."
Lethe, noticing the baby-biter's apparent sister, mirrored her grin back at her. It was only then she noticed the wings -- hunh, that was strange, even non-Fa'e could manage to get wings and she couldn't? But obviously that made the baby Very Special. She began wandering over, intending to say 'Hi!', when Ianna responded.
"You know Greek?" Lethe repeated in awe, refusing to allow any other subject change. "Mythology? Can you speak it? Do you know the Underworld? ...What's a Sidhe?" Okay now she was clearly just making things up, this lady.
...And nothing for sale? Well, that could be good, right? That didn't necessarily mean there was nothing at all, just that there was nothing she had to exchange for money with to take. So maybe if she looked around hard enough...
Seeing that the lady she'd been talking to had returned to talking with some other people (hmph!) whose conversation she could barely make out, Lethe shook her head and resumed her journey over to Levis, making careful adjustment to her path to swerve widely around the baby-biter. She was sure he was good at what he did but she vastly preferred her ankles without holes.
Indu snorted at the image of Mal with a muzzle on his face, and rested a hip against the desk, grinning at the other woman.
"He'd probably just do somethin' worse than bitin' out of spite. Or he'd like it."
Dixie had discovered one of the few things Mal like to do more than hurt others, and that was to satisfy his curiousity. The boy's tiny hands closed around the pretty wand, and immediantly, he tried to find a way to separate the grapes from the wood. Maybe he was hungry.
Lee turned a pink color at having the grin redirected at her, and reached out her fingers at the older girl trying to touch her as soon as she got close enough. Levis loved to be touched and held, unlike her brother.
The wand didn't break, Dixie had dropped it several times already and it didn't have so much as a scratch, but she couldn't help being a little concerned. Still, she supposed wand manhandling was better than biting.
"So, any luck with that?" she asked the baby, fairly sure he wouldn't understand. Dixie sat fully on the ground to rest her tired legs and kept half of her attention on Lethe and Ianna. She didn't even know what Greek was, but learning was fun and all that.
Youko noted that Ianna was fairly getting swarmed, and backed away then to let the conversation continue. He took his own wand over to one of hte couches, curling up with it resting in his lap. The wisp still hung there, and if he squinted hard enough, he could see it drifting back and forth each time he exhaled. Smiling faintly, he made a mental note to ask the woman about this later, when she wasn't so busy.
Mal turned narrowed green eyes to Dixie and growled under his breath, he wasn't a -dumb- baby, and understood quite a lot. The problem with Malum was that he was a clever terror. He just couldn't do much damage as an infant. A split-second later, and the grapes were in his mouth what few teeth he had gnawing at the wand.
Indu rolled irritated maroon eyes to the babe and pushed away from the counter, letting out a frustrated noise and crouching to gently remove the wand and hand it to Dixie. Recieving a fierce bite on the hand for her efforts, she cursed quietly and lifted the boy, slipping him into his place on her baby carrier.
"Dammit, Malum! Can't I take you anywhere?"
His wicked grin seemed be a 'no'.
Sighing as she considered this visit to the headquarters a bust, she smiled slightly at Dixie.
"Sorry about that, he can be a real brat... C'mon, Lee."
Strolling over, she picked up Levis, who's attention was centered now on the wisp, whom she was making grabby hands at, then kissed her on the forehead before strapping her in.
"... Time to go. I'll get you some icecream when we get home."
Another few seconds, and she picked up her helmet, stopping to face Ianna.
"Good luck with Coailiann."
Nodding a quick goodbye, she left the center, admonishing Malum under her breath the entire time.
Ianna stifled a small chuckle, "Good to see you guys again," she called as they left, turning her attention back to Lethe, "I don't speak Greek, but I know a lot about mythology, including the underworld. I'm somewhat of a mythology nut.." she shrugged her shoulders and moved to sit beside Youko on the couch.
"Though some would argue that I'm just a plain nut...What brings you here, this day, Youko? Dixie?"
Watching the lady with the two babies leave with mild regret, Lethe went to sit on the other couch, neatly sweeping her skirts out underneath her.
A nut? She clearly looked human. (Sigh, English!) Lethe managed to keep a confused expression from crossing her face as she carefully observed the HQ -- it was a lot different from Fa'e... Hmm. "I guess you're familiar with me already then!" She beamed at this before asking curiously, "Did those children who just left come from here? Are there others like them?"
..Was that wand glimmering or -- was was it doing? Hades alive, why couldn't she (a fully breathing, walking, talking creature, nonetheless!) do the same thing?
It never crossed her mind, meanwhile, to either shut up or even to stop hijacking the conversation.
Hey. Hey! She had been okay with the kid biting her, but not her wand! Honestly, she should have expected it. Dixie made a move to take it from him, but then Indu was there taking him away and giving her the stick back. Well, that had been easier than expected.
"That's all right. Thank you," she said before smiling at the twins and their guardian.
Dixie stood before pocketing the spit-covered wand. Everyone was on the couches now, so she figured she should be too. Taking a seat on the same couch as Lethe, she turned to Ianna and said, "The wand gets warm and tingly when we pass. I figured coming by would make it happy."
Youko smiled to the woman with the wand, understanding completely. The whole wand thing was new to him, and this had been the only place he'd known to come.
"Actually, what brings me here is this..." he said, holding up the wand. If one looked REALLY closely, one could see the little violet wisp hovering just above the end of it. It almost seemed to be watching them in return, and moving back and forth each time one of them exhaled.
Ianna blinked, "Familiar with you? Don't tell me that you're the river Lethe?"
Well. She hadn't been expecting THAT should it be true...Silver eyes seemed to sparkle with curiosity. She'd definitely have to speak more with this little girl.
"Ah...Yes...Perhaps your spirit wanted you to meet other guardians, Dixie. I'm glad you listened to it...And Youko! It wisped! Wonderful!" she beamed a little bit, troubles seeming to at least be pushed to the back of her mind.
"It's one step closer to being a child...One more stage to go before it's flesh and blood."
Dixie looked at the mist again. It had 'wisped.' And Ianna didn't seem concerned. She tucked this little bit of information away, glad that she would have it to fall back on when her wand turned into a tiny sauna.
"It's a pretty... wisp," she said, watching it bob in the nearly nonexistent breezes.
She stayed out of the river conversation, not really believing that she was seated next to a body of water.
"Thank you," Youko answered, smiling softly and extending a finger so that the wisp could wrap around it like it seemed to like to do. Not that he could feel it, but it seemed to have fun with it. "One more stage, is there?" He asked, glancing to Ianna then. "Can you give me a hint as to what I'm in for? I don't know anything about this, to be honest.... I had been assuming that a baby would just come from this, so I've had the wand in a crib." He chuckled then, remembering Raven's assessment that he was obsessed.
Well... maybe he was.
Ianna gave a nod of her head, "Yours will do that too, Dixie. As for answers, Youko, I can give you what I know. The wand is a goddess. I think it was a goddess of Mercy and from where she was found, I believe it would have something to do with the Asian cultures. Though I am unsure which and what her name was."
She paused as she shifted a bit, "The next stage the wand will shrink and the wisp will grow to the size of an infant. It will solidify and it will be clinging to the wand. Be sure not to let it be seperated. It'll fall apart and...Well, it'll most likely either be very disfigured or die all together."
Dixie took out her own wand and wiped the rest of the drool off. If this thing was going to grow and move around, maybe she'd better treat it better.
"A goddess might be able to do magic, right?" she asked. "Do you think mine would? Do magic, I mean."
"Thank you," Youko said, cradling the wand close and looking to it. "It's good to know what to expect." He paused then, flicking his gaze to her with a brow lifted faintly. "Goddess of Mercy? At least it's Asian culture... I'm quite familiar with that. My family is in Japan, I can dig up a bit of information from them as well."
He got to his feet then, bowing politely to the two of them. "And I'm afraid that's all the time I have for today. I'm sorry to pester and run, but my other children will be wondering where dinner is if I don't get home soon. And if I'm not careful, they'll wind up bar-be-queing their brother."
Smiling, he went to the portal then and slid his shoes on once more. "I hope to see the both of you again soon!"
Ianna smiled a bit, "Good seeing you, and glad I could help!" she called as the kitsune left, her attention once more being turned to Dixie.
"All the children are magically inclined. I'm not sure how soon they start showing their powers. Coailiann did almost right away, but then again, she's real special..."
Unfortunately, Lethe's trance was interrupted once the source of her spaciness was thus removed and left with. She frowned slightly at the doorway, invisible question marks hovering over her head, and finally remembered that Ianna had addressed something to her.
Hold on -- what was it? -- it took her a moment to flip back through a space of time largely filled with nothingness, but finally she managed to replay the other woman's words in her mind.
"Oh, yes!" She burst out suddenly with a great deal of obvious pride. "The River Lethe, un-rivered but still a River." She was doing a great job at this too, if she could say so herself. There was something about goddesses too, in her memory, and.. wisps. And...
"Magic?" She repeated Dixie's words, looking down at her couch-companion's wand. "The sticky-things can do magic?" ..And she couldn't? Clearly there was no justice in the world. Lethe, trying to convey both interest and disappointment, instead looked as if the wand might've just insulted her mother.
Dixie smiled as the fa'e responded to a question posed to her several minutes ago. Lethe reminded her of Archie suddenly, well, minus the whole river thing. She waved the wand around idly. "I don't think it does anything now except get warm and tingle. You're a river? For real?" She saw adults shoved into babies bodies all the time, but rivers? She couldn't get over it.
Ianna looked intrigued, "Mmn, nope. When they become children they can," she nodded her head then, "And I can't believe you're...How's that possible?" She raised a brow again.
Wait. How was it possible that kids came out of items?
Stupid question, Ianna.
"Nevermind. I..Uh...Should check on Coailiann though. You two can talk and Dixie if you have any questions...Feel free to stop by again," she smiled and ran down the hall.
"Yes!" Lethe nodded again, clearly enjoying the attention. To prove it, she grasped the ribbon binding her hands together in her teeth and began pulling a few loops from her arms. She remembered vaguely something about Xo and -- a mental promise not to show off but -- well, bah, wasn't like anyone was going to find out, right?
Just as the second loop was loosened, the tips of her fingers began to lose their color. The same transparency travelled to the rest of her hands. Lethe wiggled her fingers in a wave to Ianna, sending ripples through her hands, and giving them the very strong impression of water.
"So your wand's going to do the shining thing too? And then become a baby?" Already losing interest in her own abilities, Lethe refocused her attention on Dixie and the wand she was holding. That was some pretty strong magic right there. ...Certainly not all babies came from sticks, right? She knew her younger siblings, Eden and Raziel, came from Koyuki's stomach, but... Was there a stick in her stomach?
"It's a nice color," She said politely, trying to imagine the sort of child that would theoretically emerge from this. "Um... and the grapes. Does it have a name?"
"Cool!" Dixie didn't seem to need much convincing. People in Gaia were very strange and she'd learned to take the weirdness in stride. She waved goodbye to Ianna as well before turning back to Lethe.
"I guess so," she said, laying the wand on her lap. "I didn't know it would get all misty first, but I can't deny it now that I've seen it. I hope this one doesn't turn out bitey like that kid with the wings." Dixie poked at the grapes. "I don't know what to name it. I guess I could call it something... genderless. Nobody's told me if it's a boy or a girl."
Considering this carefully, Lethe redid the ties on her ribbons and settled more comfortably onto the couch. "I think the 'bitey one' was just, you know, special. My younger sister bites things too.. well, she doesn't so much bite things as she just.. shoves things into her mouth. She's a baby too."
Still staring at the grapes, Lethe took a wild guess at the gender: "Girl? It just seems..." This was much harder than it looked. "Well, I know there was a God of Grapes, but he was a bit of a... Father never talked about him, much too ashamed (well, he never really talked about anyone.) --I don't think this one will be like that, though.." A pause.
"Maybe you can just call it by a nickname?" She suggested, leaning back. "My guardian and her friend used to call the babies 'Thing One' and 'Thing Two' when they were in her stomach, but gave them different names when they came out. Maybe you'll know its name better when it comes."
"All the babies I meet don't stick around," Dixie said. "I guess a lot of them must bite stuff too."
A god of grapes that people were ashamed to talk about? She would certainly have to look that up when she got home. "Maybe it is a girl. I don't know which I'd like better really." Neither gender would be best, but she had promised herself she would give this mother thing a try, and she couldn't do that when she was bring so negative about it.
"Grapey," she said softly, smiling to herself. That would be a stupid name.
Lethe tried her best to think of better names. "Anthea?" She tried finally, "That means 'lady of flowers'. Erianthe... 'Sweet'..." Um, well, grapes.
"...Limnio, Athiri, Aidani, Muscat... Those are all grapes. ...I'm not too good at this sorry." She offered an apologetic grin. "My guardian didn't know what to name me until I was born either -- well, she didn't know I was going to be born until I was born but.. well.. still..." What was her point again?
"Those are all nice names," Dixie said, trying to be encouraging. "I'll have to think about it."
She looked around suddenly, searching for a window. Were there even any windows back here? "Do you know what time it is? I was supposed to pick some things up, but I wanted to stop by here and now I've lost track of time. My father said he would die without a Burger King shake, and I know he won't die, but still..." She stopped babbling and stood up. "It was really nice meeting you," she said, and she meant it. "I'll have to look up the river Lethe. There's so much about this planet I don't know." She almost held out her hand for the girl to shake, but stopped herself. How did you shake with your hands tied up like that? Better not to try to find out.
"It was almost sunset when I arrived," Lethe replied, obviously trying to be helpful, even when the rest of Dixie's speech confused her. 'Burger King'? 'This planet'? ...Was she an alien?
"Well, it was nice here, so I'll try to come back sometime... If you ever need someone to babysit, you can look me up, maybe?" She offered a grin and hopped to her feet. "I should probably get going too before my guardian starts worrying. It was very nice to meet you too, thank you for the talking!"
"Oh yeah, sure," Dixie agreed. She wasn't sure how she could look Lethe up, but she would certainly try.
"See you around!" Dixie pocketed the stick again and made her way out of the Wand Shoppe, turning to wave at Lethe before shutting the door behind her.

Angel and a Succubus? Who's more... Demonic? Malum loved this game. Women, seduced by his angelic looks, bent over him, cooing, and holding out fingers for him to grab, while neglecting his darker looking sister... But did he grab them? Of course not! He BIT them. You'd think they'd learn, but he'd done it twenty-seven times since they'd gotten to the mall. Indu knew. She was counting. The scowling redhead once more had the children strapped to herself. Or, Malum anyways. Levis wasn't the one who wriggled and tried to get Indu to drop her. Levis, was actually enjoying being out of the house, even if she was slightly lonely and overlooked. The only people who really paid her any attention were the creepy wannabe punk-goth kids, who scared her. At least Indu stroked her hair occasionally, and Mal frequently sent her his wickedly adorable grin. Right now, the three Reevers were waiting in line at a piercing booth in the center of the walkway. Was Indu getting pierced? Nope. Guess again. The twins were. "Zah ?" Kishi asked Malen just shook his head and laughed while continuing topush the stroller ." No sweety no Zah at the mall at least I think not. " Ever since their last encounter with Neveah and her baby ghost Kishi had been repeating her favorite word, technically it was her only word and not a true word but with Zasalamels nickname being Zah the succubus child had quickly taken advantage of being able to pronounce a form of her friends name. As they continued their trek through the mall Malen's train of thought was broken as Kishi let out a squeal and pointed her wand at a woman and a cute pair of babies. " Ings , ings" Kishi yelled pointing her wand at them. " yes kishi they have wings just like you " Malen murmured amused thinking nothing of it but purposefully heading in that direction anyways knowing full well Kishi would raise hell with her yelling if she didn't get to investiage even a bit more. Malum's green eyes narrowed at the sound, and quickly located it. A little girl? Once more, he ws the picture of innocence, and he grinned charmingly. He liked girls. Or, all the ones he'd met anyway, so it was a general assumption. Indu glanced over, and quirked a brow at the sight of the pair. A kid with a wand? AND wings? Was it another one of those things...? What were they called, again? Ah, Ghosts of the Past? Shifting the quiet Levis in her arms, she turned to face them, smiling slightly. "So you've got one too, 'ave ya?" Levis' eyes widened, and she turned a pinkish color at the sight of Kishi, rather timid and shy around strangers. Even young strangers. Malum, on the other hand, sneered and peered at them from his spot on his mother's back. "Ey, preddee url!" Hey, pretty girl. What a smooth talker he was. Not. Kishi grinned the winged boy talked to her, oh how she enjoyed when the winged ones talked to her. Suddenly struck by a thought of an image the those she had seen on t.v Kishi slowly blew a kiss at the boy and grinned before waving at the pretty winged female. Though she had no clue what his reaction would be the amused sound she got from her father was worth it. Malen snorted "Oh joy and the succubus flirts already just what I need." With a mock sighed he looked at the caretaker of these children. Ahh she must be the one ianna had spoken of with the twins. She certianly wasn't a d-corp guardian since the children resembled no animals he knew of. " yes I have a ghost of the past as well this is Kishi my daughter" "Mmmn." Indu's eyes caught Kishi's movement, yet she didn't seem to mind and gave a sort of half-smile to Malen. "I'm Indu, and this is Levis and Malum. Lee and Mal respectively." Malum simply continued on with his grin, and... Was that a wink?! What a horrible little boy he was! He LIKED this girl. Pretty, winged, and with kisses! Levis, on the other hand, was very confused, and hid her face against Indu's shirt, whimpering. Indu muttered something to the babe, and Lee peeked out at Kishi, slowly wiggling her fingers back in response. "Say, once I get these tykes pierced, why don't we let them get to know each other, eh?" Kishi eyed Lee and have a soft smile, she had dealth with shy ones before and she kenw it was best not to push them. To Malum she sent a pleased coo. It was nice to meet one so friendly, the shiny boy and the fiery one were friendly too but they were not there and he was so she would take advanatge of this chance to play with him. Kishi breifly wonderfd if he would fight with her like Zah. "I'm Malen and you've got cute kids, and sure once you're done here they can play and we can talk." Malen was always interested in meeting new guardians and seeing how kishi reacted to their charges. Well, it didn't work out entirely as planned. Levis was not fond of pain, and was far too scared to get her ears pierced, while Malum seemed just fine with it. In fact, he got BOTH ears pierced. Twice in his left lobe, and once in the ear's cartiledge, and twice in his right ears catiledge. Moments later, Indu set both twins in the mall's child play area, and collapsed onto a bench, glancing up at Malen with a weary smile. "They're one twin set of three in my house. All below the age of six." Malum immediantly patted his sister on the cheek, to reassure her that he was fine, then turned his attention to the more interesting Kishi. The angelic looking boy was actually the meaner twin, and her raised his brows at her appraisingly. "'Ullo..." Having placed Kishi down with the twins Malen joined indu on the bench . he just shook his head in shock " Well damn that's a lot of kids I've only got Kishi and Del and Coailiann by proxy of being with Ianna i'm not sure i couldn handal more even if i wanted them. Kishi stared at malums earrings for a moment, she shivered at the tought of placing thigns in her ears. it was ok to make her daddy do so but not for her no she likes her body as it was. "Ullo" she copied she boy and streched out her wings. lifitng her wand she jabbed it gently in his direction, perhaps the boy would play. "Oh, those aren't all the kids in my house. Those are the twin sets." She laughed dryly, and raised a brow as she registered his second comment. "You're seeing Ianna...? Hrm... The twins know Coailiann..." Malum curled a lip in distaste of his space being entered without permission, and swatted her wand away from him with a hand. He was quite sweet to his "favorites" by he was a little a*****e to most everyone. Levis lightly pushed her brother's shoulder as if to tell him to be nice, and shot Kishi a real smile, crawling a bit closer, and sort of putting herself between the other two children. Malen nodded " Yes she's the love of my life followed by all my children in a nonsexual way , Kay knows just about all the kids which I'm starting to think may be a bad thing, we may need to lock up all the men. How many children do you have?" he inquired. Pleased at having won over the shy girl atleast temporarily Kishi smiled back. She shot Malum a look that clearly stated she was annoyed with him but that she would continue to tolerate him if he behaved. looking at Lee's wings she cooed they were similar to hers and that amused her since so far none of the other winged ones had wings like hers. "Upwards of thirty, although they're not all mine. More like... A giant foster home." Indu shrugged, and laughed at his comment about Coailiann. "She tried to kill Malum, actually, but then they decided they liked each other. What about Kishi, though? She's a... You a said a succubus? Mal... Looks like an angel, but he's an evil little b*****d. Not that I don't still love him. Levis... Her looks are also deceptive. I've never met a gentler baby." Malum's eye narrowing toward Kishi seemed to say the same thing her's had said to him, and he pushed his twin sister out of the way, so he could move closer to Kishi, in case he needed to hit her. Levis had fluttered her wings for Kishi's enjoyment before being knocked onto her back. "Oomfing" and sitting back up, she made no move to retaliate, and instead, looked at Mal with wounded eyes, before reaching out with gentle fingers and feeling Kishi's wings. They felt... Strange. Like hers, but not. Definately not like Malum's. "thirty " I'd go crazy, you must never have any time alone." Malen shook his head it was a nice thing this Indu woman did and he doubted that compassionate and child loving as he was that he could possibly handel that many kids. " Yeah Kishi's a succubus but I don't think her powers have emerged yet since she isn't sexually mature. She's also not really agressive or dangerous infact most peopel find her cute more than anythign and she seems to love the attention. perhaps becuase she's only half succubus. "ahhie?'" kishi squeaked at the touch, no one but her family had touched her wings before well except Zah but that had been with his wand. The warm flesh on the cool membranze was an intresting feeling and she wriggled with glee ignoring the malum for the time being, if he got agressive she'd thwack him one good but if he was nice again she'd forgive him. Levis' wings were definately bigger than Kishi's, but being unsure, she stretched them out to their full span experimentally, and trailed her fingers along Kishi's wing softly before pulling away. Pretty Kishi. Not to be outdone, Malum extended his feathered ones, flapping them once or twice and rolling his little shoulders to stretch them. He'd never seen hair as dark as the girl's in front of him, and reached out to tug on it. Not painfully hard, but not as gentle as one of Levis' touches either. "Naww, I say 'upwards' because some I don't really count as kids. The older teens help take care of them, and my two sisters also live with me, so... It's... Intense, but fun, at home." Kishi eyed both impressive wingspans thier wings were certianly big and beautifull. She grinned at lee and her wings "pree" Malums wings were even more so and while she she longed to reack out for them she had a feeling it was bad idea. hissing softly but keeping her smile kishi accepted the hair pulling as fair trade for upsetting the boy earlier. she pointed to his wings and gave him a pleading look "pease ings" she wanted so much to touch them to see if they were as soft as they look. " Ahh well that's better then. still how do you avoid playign favourite and succeed in being fair about everything with so many people in one house?" Malum looked thoughtful for a long moment, but seemed to think it'd be alright, since he'd gotten to tug her hair. The boy moved a bit closer, and practically enclosed her in his light colored wings, signifying his approval with her. They actually WERE really soft. Sometimes, Levis slept on them, which didn't hurt, and made her happy, so, why not? "'Kay. G'head." Levis looked startled, and pleased that the two were actually sort-of getting along, and smiled, letting the interaction continue without her interruption. "Well, since they've got so many siblings, none are spoiled, so, the older ones understand that most of our attention goes to those under 13. But honestly? Not everythings fair, because LIFE isn't fair. They know that too. Still, th' kids don't ask for anything that's not that important, so when they do ask for something, they usually get it. That and we eat in the big dining hall all together around three times a week, where it's sort of like a meeting, and we bring up issues and stuff." Kishi smiled and rather than attempts to grasp the enourmous wings she let her fingers slide across the feathers. They felt so silky as soft as if they were barely there. her grey eyes reflected her pleasure at the touch and she tucked her own wings agsint her body , they didn't compare to such pretty soft things. Malen nodded " sounds like an ideal family, fun love and attention for all. Mmm makes me miss gowing up , i loved beignwith my family, except our family meeting which were just sort of strange becuase we never really knew what my sister maria was going to say. she bottled up the strangest feelings or thoughts and relased them only then. so i'd leave the table thinking. so she's been ignoring me for a week becuase i accidently ran over her commanda with my bike and then i speant my allowance on candy instead of buying her a new toy. " Ooooh, good touch. Malum almost purred in delight, and actually smiled at her, letting her continue to pet them. Levis actually noticed Kishi's movements, and remembered her own displeasure in the comparison of her wings to Mal's. Perhaps Kishi felt her wings were inferior? Lee reached out to pet the folded wings gently, as if trying to reassure the other baby. "I tried to make my new family completely different from the one I grew up in." And that's all she was saying about THAT abusive situation. Shooting Malen a forced smile she got to her feet, and cleared her throat. "It was really nice meeting you, but I think we should get going..." A glance toward the children and she dropped to a crouch beside them, smiling. "Time to say g'bye, kiddos." Malen gave a soft sigh, things had been going so well to, ah well he couldn't wn them all . " It was a pleasure to meet you and i look foreward to seeing you around." Kishi cooed at lee feeling slightly better than looked up at Indu and huffed gently, they were going to go now and they'd barely even met. "Biee" she murmured Indu reached for Malum, and the boy promptly bit down on her hand, causing her to curse and put him into her baby carrier. The boy's grin was pure wickedness as he blew a kiss to Kishi. "G'bye, Kish!" Levis went a lot quieter after one last pet to Kishi, and was cradled in her mother's arms. The redhead, glanced over at Malen again. "We should meet up again, soon, alright?" Without telling him how they'd meet up, the woman waved again and turned to leave the mall. Malen just smiled at the sight of the retreating figure and picked up Kishi and placed her in the stroller. Kishi was simply far to stunned to respond in any way other than to wave at her departing friends.

Adventure Time: Growth Post Oh those little brats.
Indu’d checked the whole house, and had the older kids help. Under tables and chairs, in the sofa cushions, in closets and cupboards… No ghost-twins. ********. Another quick check around the house confirmed that the children were no longer there, and the redhead rubbed at her temples, where a headache had already begun to pulse. They could be anywhere. The street, the neighbors, the park, the forest out back, the GotP headquarters…
….THE FOREST OUT BACK?!
A moment later and the tall woman was clomping down the back stoop, flashlight in hand, Neme and Medeine with her. She’d quickly explained that the twins HAD to be back there, since she wouldn’t take them, and Malum had thrown a fit about it. Unfortunately, the sun was already setting, and they had to have already been out there for quite a while…
Levis looked up at the sunset with concern on her little face. The second the two had mastered walking, Malum had made them go on adventures. This was another such thing, and she wanted to go home. But he didn’t, and she wasn’t about to leave him here. The demon wrinkled her nose and hurried to catch up to her angelic counterpart, blinking to find him stopped, and staring at something.
“Maaall…?”
The boy reached back a hand to touch hers somewhat reassuringly although he didn’t turn around, green eyes narrowed at something below his perch on a craggy rock.
“Mmm?”
Lee stepped closer, and peered down, not seeing anything of particular interest, although the scene was beautiful, and frowned, gaze soon going up to check the amount of light left.
“Shuh goooo, Maaaalll…”
The boy’s brow creased and he turned to glare at her, shaking his head rapidly before jabbing a figure down the hill they were on, as she joined him on the rock.
“Nuhuh, gah-uh gooo thurr.”
The lake. It was clear, and the last sliver of sunlight glinted on the surface, making it look like glass. Amazing, and right there. Right there for Malum to examine. And he HAD to. Could one take apart a body of water? If anyone could, it was this angel.
“… Kay.” Levis nodded slowly, giving what small power she had over Malum away as he grinned happily, squeezing her hand and leading the way down to a rock over the water’s edge. The two stared at their own reflections for a while, before looking at each other, knowing what they were going to do.
They jumped.
Where WERE they? Indu’s mouth was bone dry as the sun set, and the trees became dark, the three flashlights instantly clicked on, waving around the trees. Turning to face her daughters, the redhead looked worried, and as if she needed a strong drink.
“Let’s split up… Call for Levis, not Malum… She’s more likely to respond.”
Shouts of ‘LEE! LEEVVVIISSS!’ rang through the trees, and when there was not even a whimper in reply, the search grew more frantic. Indu knew they were here, somewhere… She could FEEL it. If only she could tap into that inner locator, and FIND them…
Wait.
What did Malum love almost as much as his sister? More than nature? More than anything?
Himself.
And where, in a forest, could he fulfill that narcissistic love…?
The lake.
She took off, sprinting, and not worrying as she tripped, cutting her knees and palms on sticks and stones, before bursting into the small clearing. There wasn’t anyone in sight, and she collapsed, panting and lifting her maglight, to examine the sight. Still, no one, whe—
Oh god no.
A few stray bubbles were ruining the perfect glass of the lake, rising up and bursting onto the surface… Twin bubbles. <******** course, they couldn’t hear her. They were ******** DROWNING…. Weren’t they? As the young woman got closer, about to run into the water, a purple flash of light exploded under the water, sending a gigantic splash onto her shoulder and temporarily blinding her.
When she opened her eyes, she wasn’t even sure it was them. They were… Bigger… And different… And… She didn’t give a flying ******** yanked the two from the water, clearing water from their lungs as they hacked, and squeezed them, her two teenage daughters bursting from the treeline to begin laughing with relief.
“Trust Mal to try and drown himself AND Lee, eh, Ma?”
Indu snorted, and carried the exhausted toddlers back to the house, Malum for once not biting, and Lee not crying.
This adventuring thing had to stop.

You find a pretty gold and white invitation stuck in your mailbox - obviously done from the headquarters. It reads:

-The Possession of a Dream-
Unlike the others, the sleep did not come upon them quietly, with subtle yawns and a gentle lull, rather, it struck them, as one strikes a nail with a hammer, seeking to drive it home. Levis and Malum were indoors, the small girl painting her brother's toenails a dark blue while he proceeded to unstuff a large bear. Indu? Well, she was happy for the relative peace, and was simply reading a book on the couch, legs on top of the arm of the furniture, dangling over the edge. The three of them were sunwarmed, full from a late lunch, and contented, or, as much so as Mal ever got.
So, at first, the redhead didn't notice.
The bear made no noise as if fell to the floor, Malum collapsing and hitting his head. Levis dropped the bottle of polish, and paintbrush at the same exact moment, falling on top of the bear, it's semi-filled body cushioning her in a way her brother hadn't recieved.
It was probably the distinct lack of occasional, evil giggles from Mal's hobby that caused Indu to look up, brow raised and find her youngest twins passed out on the floor. A short moment of panic ensued as she wasn't sure about the cause until she remembered. The coma! The tan guardian had been in the Headquarters when Coailiann had first entered her growth coma, and had calmed Ianna. It'd turned out alright, and the girl had gotten bigger, and prettier. Not that Malum needed to get prettier...
At least they weren't heavy yet.
Calmly putting a bookmark to hold her spot, she swung her legs over, and got off the couch, stooping to cradle Lee in one arm, and grab Malum from the back of his shirt. Even while he was unconcious, she didn't trust him not to bite in his sleep. A short walk, and the twins were tucked into their bed.
She'd come back to roll them onto their stomaches later, so they didn't get bedsores, or something weird like that. For now? Indu was going out. There was no real point in watching over them, they weren't waking up anytime soon.
