"It must be your lucky day..."

Lucky stared as the young woman entered her library next. "I've been here off and on for a month.. but I agree. It is time to move on." The dark haired girl gave a half smile to the platinum haired girl. "You're the first person I've encountered with enough brains to realize it...." Her voice dropped. "Unfortunately... I think we- Mother Trucker!." Her broom handle slammed into a rotting chest before whipping up to crush the head in. There were five more of them... now four, but still, the zombies were coming. Her handle went to work to dispatch a second one, but her body was vibrating. Picking a door, Lucky shouted, "Come on!" Them would persue, but it would give them a little more room to work in. Three Them were left so far...

A boy was sitting in a chair his feet propped up on a sitting table, a book over his face. However, he, was sleep. It seemed he was reading something about William Shakespeare. One earphone in one of his ears, the other left hanging beside his body. A temporary slumber he was in, until he heard the yell of a girl, saying "Come on!". The boy would wake up out of his sleep, his feet pressing into the floor, the book falling off of his head, and onto the floor. The boy would search for the girl before finding one nearby, who seemed to be picking a lock. Interesting, but then there were three of "Them" headed towards her. The boy would get up out of his chair, quickly grabbing his golf club, and heading over to defend her. The boy would kick the first zombie coming at her, and then take a swing with his Nine - Iron, it's heavy blunt side slamming into the side of it's head. Blood would splatter across the floor, but then there were more of "Them". The boy would run towards the next one and perform an overhead attack, slamming the club onto the top of it's head. The last to come would have the club go upwards against it's chin, which would knock it backwards onto the carpeted floor of the Library, blood also splattering on the floor. "You okay?", the boy would ask. Wanting to know of her condition.

"It must be your lucky day..."

Lucky nodded mutely as she stared at the bodies. Scared... terrified were words that came to mind. Vague memories of Them devouring flesh made her shudder in revulsion as she nearly dropped her weapon. Today was not her day as the nightmares unfolded. Taking a deep breath, she offered a weak smile. Fighting... really wasn't her thing. She liked to read and run more than confront. The softer green eyes stared at the bodies. "Thanks.... We need to go... They're flocking here already. It's gonna just get worse." Her mind aws running with places she could get them to, things that could helpful. Walking over to the janitors closet, she swapped out her broom handle for a mop handle; her's was starting to crack slightly and she didn't want it to shatter when she really really needed it.

A sigh would escape the boy's mouth, his eyes closing at the same time, they would open back up after though. The boy's index finger and thumb would go up to grab the headphone out of his ear, his black nails could be noted. Pulling a iPod out of his pocket he would wrap the headphones around the device after taking the jack out. The device would return to his pocket, and he walk over to his grab his messenger bag hanging on the chair he was sitting. If the boy had been sleep any longer, he would've been eaten alive, so while he may have saved her, she saved him with her voice. "The school is too dangerous right now, we need to leave soon.", the boy would say, then after he would push his glasses up so that it wasn't in the middle of the bridge on his nose.

The rather awkward teenager arrived at the entrance to the library, his messenger boy was on the right side of his body which was a dark green color made from the fabric called hemp. On his left shoulder was the strap that kept it up and on top resting was a mop. It is a pretty ineffective weapon but for now it would have to do in this situation. Before he entered he could here two people in there at least, they were talking causally so there shouldn't be any of "them" for now. He opened the door and closed it as he entered the building. The two people he saw inside of the library was a male and female, the female he figured was another American that was here be it for the military or a business affairs and the other a native born here but he was what you would call not a pure Japanese but half European as well.

He pulled his hood up over head and his bangs covered his eyes. His extremely pale skin was obvious under this light, he wasn't really a person who like the light as much of the normal person. He raised his right and tilted his head to the right a little. "Hello?" He said this in English as that was his natural language. These two should know it as well.

°• ~ She simply nodded at the girl's words, relieved she most certainly felt the same way. It was good that there were people who thought like Lucky in the world, those are the people who'd survive longest in this kind of battle. Before she could say anything, she automatically shot up at the zombie strike on the female. The girl had took two down easily, and as Furia reached for her sledgehammer, the girl had already blasted past her with three running behind her. Eager to move and crush some zombie skulls, something stopped her. A painful throbbing in her head caused her to collapse onto the ground. "S-s**t!" The loud ringing in her head was excruciating, her whole body shaking painfully. She couldn't breathe. She knew of course what was happening, and she needed to stop it right away if she wanted to help the girl. With a shaky hand she reached into her pocket, pulled out a small bottle and shoved two pills down her throat without even drinking anything. She panted in relief, the pain beginning to subside immediately. She was relapsing. With the inconsistent times in which she took her pills caused a somewhat complication within her system. That happened sometimes. Of all times for it to as well! Someone could be dead and it would be her fault. Of course, she gave people more credit than that, but her head was all over the place at the moment.

Clutching her sledgehammer she clumsily stumbled out past the bookshelf, the direction in which she girl went, but it seemed she was too late. There she was, along with a male, and another one just appeared through the door. At their feet were a litter of zombies. "Hey. Glad to see you're alive." Her eyes flickered to the floor, in response to it she raised her eyebrows at the corpses. "Damn, I didn't even get to play..." Part of her was genuinely upset about it, but she got over it. As long as there were no casualties she didn't care, really. "You guys okay?" She asked walking towards them, sledgehammer positioned at her side, twirled, then stationed obediently at her back. She didn't care about the well being of others, and she wanted to double check nothing actually happened while she was out of action. It was only natural. They were all on the same side now- the way she seen it. It seemed not many people seen it that way either.

"It must be your lucky day..."

Lucky nodded to the girl with a slightly shy smile. She was still trembling a little bit from fear but it wasn't anything serious to worry about. THis always happened in high pressure situations but now that things were claming down she began to think logically once again.

Grabbing her bag as well, Lucky nodded as she strung the backpack on her shoulders. It had a medical kit in it that was capable for what she needed and she put her hacking kit in it as well. Nothing else really needed to go with them. It wasn't practical to keep more than what survival dictated. Unfortunately, though, she also had no food and only a small waterbottle. "I agree. The zombies will be back soon if they aren't already coming... that's ten in the last five minutes which means we're gonna hit a feeding frenzy." she said softly as she walked over to a side door and started hacking the lock system. Shutting off the alarm was easily; then she got it to trigger so that they had a clear way out. She would follow him from wherever else they needed to go; she didn't have a clue where would be a good place. [Exit]

Oh brother, "them" would be showing up soon, and this guy wasn't sticking around. The boy would grip his Nine - Iron and move out of the corpse infested place. On his way out he had forgotten about his book, but no matter, he could probably find one at a book store or something. Unlike those who sought safety in the streets, it was more dangerous, seeing as many people strolled up and down the street be it car, bus, train, and even walking, such idiots.

Most people never really saw Corey, he was like a shadow or the air. He was there but usually just in the background. It would be safer to travel in a group so that is what he would do. He would follow them to be safe. If they would talk to him he would respond. In this epidemic communication would be key to survival.

"Keh, gotta keep quiet, who knows where those geeks are..." he mumbled quietly slipping into the rows of library books with a look of caution on his features. Dodging past some of the rows that led to dead ends he would move quickly, stepping on books that had been tossed off the shelves by people who had previously attempted to escape. Blood was here and there on the floor, just like it usually was through out most of the school, "Slippin' in and out, that's how to survive." he mumbled thinking like any insane person would. Fixing his goggles on the side of his head, a messenger bag hung at his side with barely anything in it, moving quickly with purpose he would slip over the books with little care to the items. Stopping at the end of each bookcase he would peek around the corners, his black hair gone awry as it usually did, cow licks stuck up all over his head, "No geeks..." he mumbled standing straight from his crouched position. Tension was still collected in his muscles in case something might pop out at him, his hand stuck in his messenger bag as he would move carefully around, he wasn't searching for anything in particular just scouting areas and getting the best feel of the school he could. Avoiding classes with as much gusto with many of the other parkour club students, he was one of the delinquents so to speak. Hearing the door move a little ways away he would immediately move climbing up the side of the bookcase, he had to lay flat on top of the book case, the middle ones being up in the open were still close to the ceiling so it was hard to hide properly, but the geeks wouldn't be looking up he was sure. Sliding into the cramped space he would look down to see whatever might be coming through, preparing to pounce on whatever it might be, hoping it was a person rather then a geek. Especially if it might bring a horde in, peeking over the side cautiously he would try to glimpse whoever may have entered the area.

________It happened in the locker room. Gym class had just been ended when the fire alarm sounded and the overhead ordered all of the students to evacuate the premises in an orderly fashion ━ but with zombies running rampant there was complete and utter chaos. While a mass portion of students muddled the plans of being converted into mind-less, flesh eating, undead creatures of the school, they had fallen to such a cursed fate once reaching the streets that were littered with the same.

________Catherine had been changing at the time of the event, showering to be exact, so once the spotlight was shone on the epidemic the aurous adolescent was forced to escape from the shower, open her locker after fumbling with the combination, snag her bag, and get the ******** out of there as fast as she could without so much as a top on. Shame negated by adrenaline, escaping down the crowded hallway and, after a few sets of roaming hands, managed to hide out in the broom closet that the janitor left open when he was fleeing the scene. Top on, flip-flops on, panties on, shorts on. But the fright she felt rattle her body from peering through that window to see the infestation of zombies grow in numbers by passing on their disease through direct contact with living beings cause the terribly traumatized teeny to tinkle her intimates. Great, she ******** pissed herself.

________Fear-stricken, Katherine thought fast and removed her soiled panties and shorts, wiped herself with her gym towel, changed underwear, and left the closet to quickly seek out another when the coast was clear. It was smart to keep a keen eye on your surroundings and to discard anything that left a scent or made too much noise. The undead weren't dead, they were living beings with dead, decaying bodies with a hunger for fear and flesh ━ fragile corpses with keen senses. Anything that drew too much attention can mean your demise.

________Catherine removed her sandals and hooked her fingers through the toe loops. Soles pitter-pattered noiselessly across the marble tiles, the clapping of leather striking her heels would've created far too much sound. An overly large shirt, a pair of panties, her sandals, and her school bag and its contents were the only things she had to her name. Unfortunately her gym shorts, which would've served as spare bottoms, had been forgotten in her stale locker ━ neglecting to toss them into her gym bag in her haste. Catherine still had her Gymnastics uniform, but it was too unsafe to change a second time. Inheriting a small space was ideal, but to acquire an unoccupied space such as another janitor's closet meant having access to that hallway. Being on the first or second floors were also ideal situations, in the off chance she needed to run away she could elude the zombies and head out of the door or jump a story down without receiving too much damage. Any higher and you trap yourself. Zombies loved big open spaces, placing yourself in a closet with a lock, a vent, or an office was for the best. The only negatives were the lack of a bathroom and a shortage of food. Food, medical supplies, weapons & ammunition, all of them were located in high-risk areas but were checkpoints that needed to be accessible during this state of crisis.

________After leaving a farewell message on her blog Catherine came across a metal pipe besides a mangled corpse, it's head had been removed and its limbs were twisted and paling ━ probably belonged to someone that was killed just moments after becoming a zombie. However, this meant that there were still others here. Maybe. Hopefully. Please God, let there be others here. A single blonde gymnast wouldn't be able to survive on her own for very long no matter how much her father had prepared her for this occasion. Zombies were scarce in this part of the school. The doors were locked down but the parking lots were probably infested with the undead. Some had managed to break into the halls and turn others which explained why there were zombies inside of the school but not swarms of them.

________Catherine crept into the library, one of the few ideal large areas. Books held great knowledge and wisdom, but because libraries had them by the thousands they also make choice projectiles. Hordes of zombies could also be killed by tipping over a few shelves. Bathrooms were also located within libraries and most of the time vending machines as well. Hell, she could lounge about inside if she was able to lock the door and barricade it with a couch or a few chairs.

________After she timidly closed the door behind her, she placed her sandals into her bag and hoisted the strap up and over her shoulder, Catherine's hands were free to grip the pipe with both hands now. The library was dark but there was still sunlight shining through that windows, enough to brighten the area just enough for her to see. Her safety and solitary status was a fleeting feeling. She wasn't so stupid to voice out for anyone, that'd give herself away. Instead, she held fast to the pipe and let her wandering eyes tell her if there was anyone else here. She drug herself at a snail's pace, cautious yet ready to take action if there was anyone ━ or anything else here.

Caution surged through Carter, looking down he would continue to wait, he had heard the noise of sandals from farther down the corridor, no moaning or yearning like most of the noises zombies made. Hearing the door open and click shut and the sound of sandals disappearing was odd, blue eyes narrowed in suspicion as his body would tense, slowly he would inch over the edge of the bookcase. Staring at bright blond hair he would watch a female move, she didn't move with the limp and slowness of a zombie, she was looking around with caution, a pipe held up in her hands ready to strike down anything that may attempt to hurt her. That was intelligent, though the constant lack of checking behind her would become a bit of a hazard. Deciding it was best to scare the hell out of her and tech her a lesson seemed a bit perfect at the moment, after all no geeks around as far as he could see. When she was a little ways past him he would slither his way down, being very slow about the climb, his footsteps hidden by the many paper back and hard covered books below. Step by step he would slip in behind her, one hand grasping the pipe and the other wrapping up around her waist. Tightening his grip easily he would be a bit cautious about the girl, "Wandering around here without checking your back is pretty dangerous. The living can be just as scary as the dead you know." he would state before moving off of her hopping back a few steps in case she attempted to swing that pipe at him. When he was a little distance away he would stare at her with a suspicious look being a bit careful about what action she might take towards him. Gloved hands remained exposed and at the hem of his left pocket which harbored his swiss army knife, the obvious sight of his attire made it apparent to most that he did a lot of outdoors activity, mainly the goggles would set off this type of thought. The dark lens would reflect the dim lights filtering in the room, he would wait for the girl's response while he would glance around for any surprise attacks, who knew if she was with someone else after all?
