LilChibiusa Robayn LilChibiusa Robayn lilchibiusa This is an afterthought, but I just realized that we already have a very good way to keep equality within the rooms as well as a great way to unify each room. If the main room has a hall of mirrors, why not have one in each of the other rooms as well? It would be an easily recognizable method of travel between dreams that the guests could pick up on in an instant, regardless of how many rooms they post in. And, when all of the halls of mirrors are fully restored, unity and strength will be restored to the dream worlds. Wow!!!!!! I can see all the ideas that were suggested coming together in this plot. Chibi, Broken, you both deserve a round of worship! I also like the side note of a mirror. Guests may flit from one room to another as they please anyways, but it is a nice touch to add for those who might not be sure about participating in other rooms. I'm glad you like it, but don't feel like you owe us any worship. Doughnuts are nice though. wink rofl Doughnuts with divine-worthy sprinkles on top? I prefer peanuts. whee yum_donut Idolic peanuts?

Hall of... Mirrors... YEAH! This plot is beautiful. I love the conflict the Sandman poses to the Gaians. And the hall of mirrors!

I love it! And it's extremely well written.
I hope it's alright if I make a few comments though? ./////. I don't want you to take them the wrong way~ It's beautiful. But~
It's just a little long. It's a length I'd expect to see at the beginning of an adv. lit rp~ not at a light ball setting. If there's any fat to trim (though it's all beautiful), I would trim it. Otherwise, I'd try and make it look more manageable to our younger guests by utilizing your white space (spacing the paragraphs apart from one another, breaking large paragraphs into two small ones, etc.)
Does this mean that our climax is at the beginning of the ball? Since the rooms are already falling apart? Or could we have something big happen at a coordinated time between all rooms, like we have in years past?
The ending presumes that we know how the guests reacted to this. I would take out just that last bit about them standing their speechless. In any good RP, you don't want to puppet.
---
Enough criticism! My good comments!
I like the mirrors idea, though does it have to be a hall, exactly, in all rooms? We're going to be on a giant flying ship, for example. Could ours just occasionally take the place of a porthole?
Love the role the Sandman plays~ And the motivations behind the event.
Overall, beautiful. ♥

Overall, beautiful. ♥ Did you know I love you? heart You give some of the best constructive criticism! Those are some excellent points you made. Let me respond to all of those. heart 1) Length: I'll see where I can trim a bit back. One thing that would be easy to trim would be the T-Corp reference, but I kind of want to leave that for Poy. I'll see what I can do though. 2) Climax and Timing: I remember last year people wanting something fresh, that didn't have the same formula as in previous years. This is an attempt to shake things up a bit. It will take a little coordinating, but I was thinking that something could happen late on the second day to help each room heal their worlds. And, once all of the worlds are healed, the traveling mirrors would be restored as well! As for what happens to make that happen, we have time for discussion. We don't even necessarily have to have a uniform event in all of the rooms as long as everyone heals their worlds around the same time. The final day would more of a day of fun and celebration as opposed to how the first day usually gets that job. It seems like a nice way to end the ball, but we can change a few things around if everyone thinks we need to. 3) Puppets: I see what you mean! That's an easy enough fix! biggrin 4) Hall of Mirrors: We didn't make this definitive for all of the rooms, but I would suppose that having any collection of mirrors where dreamers can see into other worlds would work. You might even have several small mirrors in the captain's cabin on a flying ship. Having several porthole size mirrors would be great too. 5) Spacing - Don't worry! The spacing can easily be fixed, and it shouldn't take me more than 30 minutes to change it to spacing that you would normally see in a book. 3nodding Again, thank you so much for all of your constructive feedback! I love when people play devil's advocate so I can see the weaknesses in things. By refining them, we only make them stronger! heart

I must admit, when the ball theme was originally announced, I wasn't exactly enthused. But after reading that bit, i'm sold. I can't wait for the ball to roll around! ^_^

So the conflict is that the guests have to figure out what's wrong with the connection between dream worlds before the Sandman traps them there forever?

Also, I can see another advantage in this: by giving the plot and action a head-start, you leave yourself the last day to play catch-up if something goes awry, like it did last year.
So if a major host has to be absent on the second day, instead of everyone waiting around for him or her to reappear and do his or her part of the plot, they can go ahead and not feel rushed to have to tie everything together until the next day.
Just a thought.

You mean like with the interlopers for the rooms that we had in the past, doing things in all of the rooms at the same time? Yes, the rooms would finish at their own pace, so a role such as that wouldn't be needed. However, having people from other dreams appear in the various worlds might be interesting, especially to keep things super fresh on the 3rd day. heart To your previous question, yes! The guests would do a two-fold thing for the climax. In saving each dream world sometime near the end of the second day (approx), they would save the dream world AND give them the power to escape. Once the mirrors are restored by the dreams being restored, they can move as freely as they wish between dreams, as well as the dream and waking worlds.
