They don't necessarily have to be too complicated - in general, it requires an act of will to summon a Sorrow, and I imagine it would be the same for a Blessing. It can be an act of will that wasn't necessarily focused on that Blessing, since no one knows that they exist, but some form of GETTHEHELLOUTHERE signal is required. XD

Actual shapes, I think. And in order to incorporate the idea of interpretive dance ( razz ), they can be really big ones. Like, you have to use both hands and a lot of space in front of you - you can't just draw it in the air with a finger.

I like the idea of light following your hands as you draw the shape so that it kind of hangs in the air for a second after your hands finish moving.

Now, what should each of them have? Any ideas?

Maybe, either for themselves or for someone else. And once they realize that the Blessings exist, of course, they can just focus their will as they would for a Sorrow. But the way you mentioned is a kind of slapdash version of same. blaugh

Not drawing the whole animal. That would be so cruel to those without drawing talent. XD

I admit that I like the idea of a horseshoe for Fortune. rofl And a star would be good for Peace - a four-pointed star, maybe, like the North Star you always see in those Christmas cartoons? For Prosperity...I've got nothing just yet. Maybe a flower? And for Vitality...hmm...A HEART. YES. A HEART. So basically summoning them is like a preteen doodling in her diary. Now we'll see which of the sons of Chaos are secure enough in their masculinity to summon them! >3

And yes, a preteen's doodlings. You're lucky I'm stopping short of making the sigil/rune for Love be "___ + ___ 4ever" or something. xp Speaking of which, what should the sigils/runes for the Lesser Blessings be? I made the Lesser Sorrows have songs that were plays on the true Sorrow's song, so maybe we can go with that same theme?

You know, it's always possible that they HAVE been summoned before and the Chaos Child in question just never realized it - I mean, in every case but Vitality, the Blessings are fairly normal animals. You have a cat and a dove and a stag; if a preteen Chaos Child saw one of those wandering around shortly after they'd been idly dancing in a field (with big hand gestures) or something while wishing for something better to happen to their boring village, they wouldn't immediately jump to thinking "I HAVE DISCOVERED A NEW SET OF CHAOS CREATURES!"

...Would they? XD

Well, I was thinking a little simpler than that. Like so:

Fortune: Horseshoe, so...
Miracle: Horseshoe with a 'rainbow' inside (shown by a double line or some s**t)
Chance: Horseshoe with a four-leaf clover inside
Trust: Horseshoe with a (?)

Peace: Four-Pointed star, so...
Harmony: Star with a musical note inside (don't ask; I think I'm being clever.)
Balance: Star with one of those Scales of Judgement things inside
Love: Star with a heart! biggrin EXTRA-GIRLY! (It occurs to me that people summoning Love might not have the purest of intentions...)

Prosperity: Flower (a-la six-petaled daisy), so...
Hope: Should totally be a 'tulip'-style flower
Growth: Should indeed be a tree. XD
Bounty: Paper towels? Maybe a daffodil? One of those really distinctive trumpet-style flowers.

Vitality: Heart, so...
Beauty: Heart with a rose or something inside
Strength: Heart with (?)
Spirit: Heart with a shiny little star inside. :3

Any ideas for Trust and Strength?

I do like those ideas. Especially the shooting star, because it makes me think of Disney songs and that brings me back to how the whole ritual of summoning the Blessings is oh-so-teenybopper. The only way we could make it better is if the light that followed someone's hands was pink. >.> Or glittery. Or both. LIKE A PINK GLITTER GEL PEN.

I like the two-hearts-interlocked thing. That works for me - it's a little easier to draw than a knot.

Trumpet-flower would be perfect. A cornucopia would generally be good, but it's not really plant-based and I'm geeky enough to want them all to fit into the theme. XP

I like the sword and/or shield idea. OOOH! It could be either a sword or a shield depending on whether you were summoning Strength for offense or defense! :3

And YES. YES. Well, Chaos energy in general is 'rainbow'-coloured - it's a mix of basically every colour ever, all swirling around and changing all the time - so we have that. But yes, it must be glittery and sparkling. Absolutely. SUPER-AWESOME-TEENYBOPPER-ACTION-SEQUENCE GO!
