 "The plants are her power,"
Rosalina Fintersal Where am I? Heading through town towards the center to go down the roads What am I doing? attacking as i run through the city. Who is with me? No one Who am i interacting with? Ogres, Orcs, and Harpies Rosa had fallen three harpies and two or three orcs since she she had left her home. She was making her way to the center square to start going down the ally ways. It would help her to kill the rest of them before to much was done. Normally it was only her Analisa and Diamond that turned the tables on the monsters that were sent their way. There were only three of them against army's of monsters. She knew they were probably already fighting. She came upon two or three ogres and a couple of orcs. Only the Harpies gave her any problem. She was only a few feet from the center square when they cornered her. She grinned before spinning in a circle. Most of the city didn't have any plants so the rose she always had in her hair would release sharp petals and regrow more and more. By the time this was done she was going to have to switch the roses. As she slowed to a stop each warrior had gashes and and wounds where the petals had either gone straight through or had barely missed going through. Although all of the petals had fallen to the floor. She smiled as the ogres and orcs smiled and laughed at her before one by one the group died. Rosa smiled and walked away. She stood in the center of the square and came upon a traveler with a sword in his hand."No, You should find shelter! You can't be out during this time!"Rosa called running towards him. She knew that her call would probably put them both in danger again in a moment. She reached him looking at him. He was definitely a traveler and he was only a couple of years older than she was. "You will figure that out soon enough."

Analisa~ AnaLisa didn't WANT to fight today. Unfortunately, it looks like she has to. She killed a few more and went out looking for Rosa and Diamond, who are smart enough to fight with her. she ran into Rosa. "Rosa! Where's Diamond?" She had harpy and ogre blood on her face and hands. Her eyes were glowing red. She was, obviously, using her unusual power of fire. She looked also like she was in a bit of a panic. This was, by far, the strongest attack yet. She almost didn't get away from the last ogre. But she was fine, for now.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Diamond had a lot on her. She kept trying to not get cornered, but of course, it was futile. She tried, but she eventually got cornered by the inn. So it was just when that an Ogre was getting ready to attack did she get angry. She is deadly when she is angry. She moved large rocks, and hit them in the back of the head, then just crushed them.

Rosalina Fintersal Where am I? In the center square What am I doing? Talking to a traveler and Analisa Who is with me? Analisa and Traveler Who am i interacting with? Analisa Traveler Rosa Looked at Analisa and was about to answer when she heard a booming like rocks hitting ground. "That would be her. I just made it to here, and I'm trying to warn this stranger... But I guess itll be no use."Rosa said as soon a group of the three races came down the three main roads into the center. She growled slightly before starting her new barrage of attacks. Since first of all the town center had a bunch of plants i it. Mostly because of her mom. Which made it so much easier for her. They would have to find Diamond after this. She had taken down a harpy with a branch from one of the trees. She smiled before one grabbed her hair and some orcs came rushing in at the three. She grabbed her hair before grabbing feathers and ripping them out of the half bird woman's leg. She was let go before the bark off of the closest trees around her, creating a giant bark sheild around the three. That was her normal specialty was plant survival. "You will figure that out soon enough."

‘Cause it feels like the rain of a lifetime And nothing’s gonna save us now Let the rain come crashing down… Everything is changing. I can feel it. ((OOC: Cripes, gone for a day...)) Ulalia pulled herself out of the river at last once she was almost home, quivering. She had been saved by the river, she realized dully as she sat down on the bank. Much as her rational mind wanted to deny this, she kept looking back on it. Look again! her mind insisted. There must be another explanation!
We're looking, her eyes had replied. It's the only way to explain it. It really happened.
The swamping, the flooding from a river that had never, ever flooded, not even in the worst spring melt...that it had given her a safe path and swept her to safety...
What she had wondered was true. That connection with the water that she'd always felt had saved her life. The water had felt her terror and responded. She stood up slowly, brushing at her soaking-wet clothes. If the water answered her, and she could control it...
She walked into her house. Her mother peered out from the kitchen. "Honey?"
Ula picked up the crossbow they kept in the house. There were several weapons - living outside of town and cut off from any help as they did, they had had to fight many times to keep themselves safe. She gathered her two long daggers, each the length of her forearm, and sheathed them at her waist. Setting the bow and a quiver of bolts, she kissed her mother's cheek. "I know now," she said quietly. "We can talk about it afterwards."
If there was an after.
Walking back out of the house, she stepped back into the river. She felt the tides change; at her mental request, the river reversed its course - something that should have been impossible - and carried her back towards the town square.
She had something she needed to do. And I can only pray that the tide is turning our way. ‘Cause it feels like the rain for the first time And every time I take you in I feel my heart start to beat again… Ulalia Hilden, Water/Intelligence ~ Well I remember, I remember, don’t worry How could I ever forget… The hurt doesn’t show, but it still grows It’s no stranger to you and me… The wind has brought me here, and I can feel the winds of change blowing over this place. Ben's odd amber-coloured eyes flicked to the young girl who had shouted a warning to him. He was about to point out - kindly - that she was out, and if she was out, then he shouldn't have a problem. But then she was distracted by her friend, and Ben had to focus on the furious creatures coming back into the area.
He glanced over his shoulder to see the girls surrounded by something that looked like...tree bark? The hell? And then it widened to cover him, as well. He tilted his head up to look above them. "You need to let me out of this," he said. He didn't direct his comment to either of the girls in particular - he didn't know who had made this...thing. "I can't feel the wind, and there's nothing I can do unless I can see them coming."
He'd barely finished speaking when he felt a breath of air. It seemed to be gathering around his feet...
Before he even had a chance to assimilate this, he was pushed up into the air and towards the top of the bark shield. Gently - careful not to harm any of the wood - he pried open a section so that he could slip out. His sword stayed safely in its sheath until he was out of the shielding; if one of those girls had created that, harming it might harm her. And Ben didn't like to cause unnecessary harm.
Once he was out in the air again, he unsheathed his weapon. Part of his mind was dazed, confused, desperately trying to understand the fact that he was walking on air like it was no big thing and that he was battling monsters that were right out of a fantasy - right out of one of his mother's fairytales, as told by his father - and the other part was just clicking through what needed to be done.
He had to clear the town square, make sure that those girls would be safe, and then find out what he was doing here.
That dazed part of his mind whispered that maybe he had already found it. Ben refused to listen to it, at least for now. How could someone as down-to-earth as Benjamin Keston find himself caught up in a fairytale? It was ridiculous. He looked down--
And a Harpy came shrieking at him, talons first, and sliced at his arm - she'd have gotten more if the wind hadn't knocked her off-balance suddenly. Without thinking, Ben lashed out with his weapon in retaliation, and her head came cleanly off.
Ben closed his eyes briefly. He had always tried his best to do no harm. He knew that there wasn't really a choice, but...
He shook it off. This was a war. No matter what it was he was fighting, this was a war. Landing lightly on his feet and not allowing his mind to wander to the fact that he had been battling on air, Ben fought mechanically, without much thought. Swing. Chop. Slash. There was blood and gore everywhere, and deep inside his mind, he was sickened. But he did what he had to do, and working through the ogres that had made their way into the town square, he slowly started to clear the area. He knew that he had to be receiving wounds in turn, but he didn't feel them - the adrenaline racing through him kept the pain at bay.
And it was amazing how strong the wind had gotten - it was whistling and shrieking, so loudly now that he couldn't even hear the death-cries of those he was fighting. He would need help soon; there were too many for anyone to fight alone. I can feel it in the air. I can feel it coming in the air tonight And I’ve been waiting for this moment for all my life Can you feel it coming in the air tonight… Odysseus Benjamin Keston, Air/Realism

Rosalina Fintersal Where am I? In the center square What am I doing? Talking to a traveler and Analisa Who is with me? Analisa and Traveler Who am i interacting with? Analisa Traveler Rosa felt something break through her shield and looked up noticing the hole that the man had created. She didn't have to protect him. He reminded her of something..."Analisa! He... I think he's part of the prophecy the elders in the town recite constantly!"Rosa said to the other girl before taking the piece of bark that had been broken off and broke them into splinters, swinging the shield one way she threw the splinters at some of the monsters coming at the back of the monster. She kept this on until the shield only protected herself. Killing about fifteen in that one spot. She smiled confident in herself for the moment, before a harpy tore the shield from her."Big mistake!!"She yelled at it. The harpy laughed at her and then quickly realized that it was a mistake. Her shield started morphing to her will circling the harpy until it was covered with the bark. Before it shrank, harpy and all. The harpy near the first yelled at Rosa when she realized her friend was gone. Rosa pulled a weed from the ground and elongated and sharpened its edge, creating a blade of the weed where the flower was became her handle. She had a very nice flowery weapon, that her hippy mother would be proud of. "You will figure that out soon enough."

She obviously heard Rose, but she was looking for her friend. She peeked her head around the corner. "I found her!!" She disappeared behind the wall again and went to help her earth bending friend. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ She was laying unconscious. Some of the harpies managed to escape the flurry of brick wall and throw her. They thought her dead. Obviously she isn't. She stirred and rubbed her head "Five minutes, mom.."

‘Cause it feels like the rain of a lifetime And nothing’s gonna save us now Let the rain come crashing down… Everything is changing. I can feel it. Ula stepped out of the river, her long black hair and her clothes plastered to her skin. Her eyes narrowed briefly as she took in the scene in front of her. Aiming the crossbow, she shot the bolt precisely through the back of an ogre's head.
As it hit the ground, she set the bow aside - she could take it back if she needed it, there was no one else around - and unsheathed her blades.
She could see that the male in the middle of the gore-fest needed some help - he had any number of shallow injuries and a few that looked pretty serious. So she called to the water again.
Let it rain.
Fighting in the rain and the wind would be hard for everyone, but she could keep the rain off of her and the man and - she glanced around - that other girl with the flower-sword, and the wind could be dealt with. Besides that, the heavy downpour that had started the moment Ulalia had willed it to rain would knock the Harpies out of the sky when combined with that fierce wind.
Without having to worry about aerial attacks, they'd do much better.
Satisfied, Ula headed into battle, slicing and slashing with a fierce, feline grace. She was aiming towards the unknown male, keeping an eye out for other attackers coming up from behind. When the rain began to pour, Ben was thrown off for a second. There hadn't been any storm-clouds or anything, and even if there had been the wind should have blown them away, dammit--
He spun when he heard the sound behind him. Having nearly been killed by an ogre's club a few minutes ago, he was especially wary of any sounds coming from where he couldn't see what was making it - funny priorities in the middle of a battle, but it seemed to be working for him.
The first thing his eye fell on was the young woman with her hunting knives out, the weapons flashing as she fought to reach him. She seemed to have it under control, but...
The wind picked up even more; by this point, it was nearly screaming. Ben locked his attention on the girl. Having someone to cover his back would be good, and between the four of them, they could clear this place soon enough.I can feel it in the air. Rosalina Fintersal Where am I? In the center square What am I doing? trying to cope with Wind and water ruining my vision Who is with me? Traveler and Ula Who am i interacting with? Monsters Rosa knew her friend heard her so she didn't mind being ignored. She was more concerned with the fact that now there was rain and wind blurring her vision. She figured it was someone else when she heard footsteps that sounded like a person. She looked over and noticed the new comer was Ula, someone else in the village... But normally she was elsewhere. Rosa shrugged quickly and turned around as she was hit with a club in her stomach. That little bit of distraction caused her to wretch and land on her knees. The ogre above her laughed before swinging again. She took her sword and stabbed upwards into the ogres crotch and stood as he fell backwards. She held her stomach before stabbing the next closest monster. Her stomach was killing her. And it was starting to hurt to breath. She shook it off and started for the next couple of things. She took the flower off the handle of the sword and shot the petals at the next bunch of orcs and ogres coming from a street to the left. They weren't as precise as every other time but they got a couple of them. She sighed and hoped everyone else was doing better in this downpour. "You will figure that out soon enough."

SilentShadowDreamer ((OOC: Waiting to post until does... >.> But I AM still here.)) Sorryyyy! Only now did she notice the extra two. In a complete loss for words, all she says is "Who are they?!" She continued fighting, though. Eventually burning all her enemies to death. She wasn't the best fighter, and would probably be dead if not for her power. She depended on it. She finally awoke to keep her friends back, throwing an ogre into the air by elevating the ground underneath it "Be careful, AnaLisa." She stood up and looked around rubbing her head, which now gave her a major headache. (Would have done better but it's late and i'm tired.)

‘Cause it feels like the rain of a lifetime And nothing’s gonna save us now Let the rain come crashing down… Everything is changing. I can feel it. Ula had made her way to the stranger's back. Now that she'd made it to where she needed to be, she could afford to let some of her mind work on the problem of how to control what she'd called. Focusing, she pushed at the rain, pushing it away, pushing it away, until there was a circle of dry air around herself, the stranger, and the girls she'd vaguely recognized as being other villagers. She didn't know their names.
"Keep it to the ones who come into the circle," she said softly to the man at her back. "Accuracy'll be better that way. I think I can keep this."
"Got it," he replied, and she decided he had a nice voice. Smooth and deep and pleasant, even when it was strained with battle stress. A trustworthy voice. She didn't mind having him at her back.
And since she didn't, she could focus on what was coming at her from the front.
She kept her blades moving in smooth, relaxed strokes, focusing on the ogres and orcs who came within her circle - there were no Harpies above them to worry about, since the vicious wind and the downpour had knocked most of them either out of the sky or at least well away from this protected zone. The attacks coincided with her very breath - breathe in, slash, breathe out, slice.
There was no time to worry about after. Ben heard the girl's instructions and nodded perfunctorily, even though she couldn't see him. "Got it," he replied. She spoke with the ease of a veteran tactician, and she'd looked so damn young. For a second, Ben had time to wonder just what he'd gotten into here.
His moves were sharper than hers, harsher and with a more brutal sort of control, but then he was better-trained. Every slice took down a monster, and it looked like the crowd was beginning to thin out.
With any luck, they would be done shortly. He didn't feel any wounds, though he knew he must have some. He was sure that his...companions in this particular endeavour were also injured, and they should get that treated soon.
But for now, in the wind and the rain, he fought to clear the city.I can feel it in the air. I can feel it coming in the air tonight And I’ve been waiting for this moment for all my life Can you feel it coming in the air tonight… Odysseus Benjamin Keston, Air/Realism

(I need to make my post prettier.) She couldn't stand it any longer. Diamond stood up and smashed together, with a clasp of her hands, two pieces of raised earth, which also smashed two ogres and a harpy going towards the man. She had never seen those two people before, and she wondered who they were. But right now just wasn't right for questions. She looked around, kicking harpies out of the hair and smashing them a few times before she sighed, taking a quick rest. It was only a few minutes before two harpies were on her, and she was losing. §Earth~Purity§~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ AnaLisa was focused on her own problems; like protecting the two people while they do what they do, and protecting Rosa, as well as herself. The crowd of harpies, orcs, and ogres were thinning, so it was getting easier for her, despite the rain that is going down, trying to kill her fire. She groaned as one of her fires went out, and she made another one around a group of ogres. §Fire~Fearlessness§

‘Cause it feels like the rain of a lifetime And nothing’s gonna save us now Let the rain come crashing down… Everything is changing. I can feel it. Ula flung her hair back over her shoulder, managing to finally take a relaxing breath. The worst seemed to be slowing, and it looked like the battle would soon be over. The rain still poured, and it only seemed to be strengthening her. This would finish soon.
Hearing a sound that wasn't quite a cry, she looked around and found that one of the other girls was under attack from a pair of harpies - it looked like she was losing. Well, couldn't have that.
"Can you hold?" she called to the man who fought with her. Not actually waiting for his response - they'd cleared enough of the battlefield that she was confident in his ability to handle what was left on their section - she leaped out from behind him.
Springing towards the other girl, she slashed out with her knives. Due to a combination of factors, she missed enough to avoid killing them, but it made them back off, at least.
"All right?" she asked the girl, standing at the defense as the harpies fluttered above them again. Ben heard the groan from somewhere behind him and risked a quick glance back, earning a slash on the arm for his trouble. Slicing out and cutting down the harpy, he noticed the girl who was struggling. Because it felt like the right thing to do, he pushed the wind in her direction, creating a circle of dry air around the girl before turning back to his own worries.
There was a lot of corpses, and the cleanup from this battle would be horrific, but the crowd was nearly gone now. There weren't many left.
The girl who had been fighting behind him said something in his ear, but before he could actually reply to her she was gone. That was fine - there weren't enough left for him to need her to cover his back anymore.
Grim-faced and still coldly determined, Ben continued to empty the bloody, gruesome battlefield.
It was time to end this. I can feel it in the air. I can feel it coming in the air tonight And I’ve been waiting for this moment for all my life Can you feel it coming in the air tonight… Odysseus Benjamin Keston, Air/Realism

Rosalina Fintersal Where am I? In the center square What am I doing? trying to cope with Wind and water ruining my vision Who is with me? Traveler and Ula Who am i interacting with? Monsters Rosa heard the cry but couldn't help for the moment. She was having a bit of trouble with her plants. The water was restraining how fast and how well they grew as well. It's what normally happened when it rained.Even if the plants loved the water they were getting. They couldn't grow as well. She struggled as something grabbed her from behind. She ripped out the feathers from the harpy and fell with the harpy screeching. She hit the ground and used her energy to create a single tree that was ginormous. The giant oak grew fifteen feet tall and she was in the middle of it. Sitting on a branch. Anything that was near her was whacked away by branches or roots. She brought out one of the ointments she had with her and applied them to the gashes she had gotten. This wasnt her best day. (Sorry I'm here) "You will figure that out soon enough."
