"Heh," Roch said, a little grin pulling at his lips. "I liked how I grew up for the most part. But it ain't somethin' most of the people here would understand. Either way, s**t happened in the past, we can't change it, we wouldn't be who we are if we did. And yeah, I ain't sure how I got in either, especially considering my... background."
He grabbed another slice of pizza. "Hey, at least you got another patchwork around, right? You and Christof, you get along well?"

Moure gave a slight grin in response to Roch's words. "I'm gonna guess that you had a lot of freedom growing up? Through a lack of authority around or otherwise, maybe?" Moure gave a little shake of his head, though the grin was still there. "You're right though. We are who we are because of what we've gone through. Or, in my case, what we were built for." Moure's expression hinted at a bit of a wider grin. He took a bite of his pizza first and swallowed before speaking again. "Man, I wonder what the people in charge of enrollment were thinking. Letting two people with questionable backgrounds both in within the same week of each other." This was said with a light-hearted chuckle.
To the next question though, Moure gave a slightly nervous laugh. "Aaah, that's a really good question. I've only met him once. On the first day I was enrolled, actually..." He thought back to the entire fiasco, choosing his words carefully due to the...oddness of his meeting with Christof. "Well, I kind of first met him after he, uh, found my arm lying outside the our dorm building and decided to, um, take it home with him. And then my boogeymon almost attacked him...and then said boogeymon almost met the end of a shovel. Overall, it was kind of an awkward meeting. I don't really know what he thinks of me." He gave a shrug. Even though Christof's room was next to his own, he never really saw the other patchwork that much.
Moure realized that he was just finishing his first slice and almost laughed when he noticed how many slices were missing from the box. Apparently, Moure had been right about how fast Roch could eat pizza.

"Yeah? He seems pretty cool to me," Roch said. "I mean, did you see that jackin' cannon he made? And there was a mad science class that he taught the other day, we got to put together robots and battle them!" Which showed what Roch was interested in.
Abruptly, though, he cocked his head slightly. "You two look nothin' alike, though. And I don't see him movin' fast like you do, ever. So are there different types of patchworks like there's different type of reapers?"

"I didn't see the cannon. Or the battle bots, although they sound cool. I could definitely see him building things like that." Moure said, remembering the short time he'd spent in Christof's room. The gadgets seemed more complex then anything Moure might've attempted to ever build.
At Roch's question about patchworks, Moure glanced down at himself, then mentally compared Christof's thick, strong build to his own thin, lithe form. Moure then gave a bit of a nod. "I think Christof is an Igor, actually. Which is a form of a patchwork construct. I'll assume he was built too. You know, as opposed to born through a pumpkin or anything. Those of us that are built, and built for some purpose other than being a Doctor's kid, usually have some kind of purpose that we're specifically built for. I Run, I was literally built to Run and carry out Errands like running across an estate or get something from another room much faster then another patchwork might be able to, since others might be more generalized for, you know, general work. I could be wrong, but I think that Igors are more of the Lab-Assistant, then generalized work or Errand Running. So, I guess you could say there's different types of us, or sub-types or whatever. Like whatever we're built to specialize in." Moure explained, although he wasn't sure if his words made as much sense as he would've hoped.

"So instead of different types of weapons, you've got different types of bodies," Roch summed up, thinking about it for a moment. "Huh."
He looked at the other boil thoughtfully. "You realize, though, that the whole 'me liking Xiu' thing needs to be kept quiet, right? I'd rather not have people trying to sway her either way. And so far people around here sure seem happy trying to get involved in other peoples' love lifes, or lack of them." Including Xiu, he thought dryly. She was so happy to jump into the "oh they belong together!" if it didn't involve her.

Moure paused, then gave a slight nod. "I suppose you could think of it like that, sure. Actually, yeah, since you guys don't get to pick what weapon you get, right? You get what you get?" Moure hadn't been involved in choosing how he'd look, after all. The Doctors got that privilege instead. Although if you requested nicely enough, they might be open to some alterations. Moure looked at his runner's build for a moment, and decided that if he had to be any kind of patchwork, he was glad he had become what he was.
Moure looked up when they got back on track with the other topic. Moure gave a firm nod, realizing how difficult all of this probably was for the reaper. "You can count on me not to tell anyone, and I won't mention it to Xiu, either." He said with another firm nod. Then he gave a slight grin and said, "I wouldn't really have anyone to tell, anyway."
As he took another bite of the pizza, it again occured to Moure that he really didn't have many people he considered friends. Danny was a friend, but most other people were just aquaintances, really. Nice aquaintences, but not really real friends.

"Xiu knows," Roch said quietly. "Man, I'm tryin' to get over it," he went on. "But you two really pissed me off. Even if you didn't know what had happened, you still pissed me off. Give me some time. I don't tend to keep grudges after the s**t's hit the fan."

"I see." Moure said, giving a slight nod. "Do what you need to do. Take as much time as you need." Moure gave a nod at the pizza, a slight grin coming onto his face. "Enjoy your apology pizza."
Moure finished off his slice, then stood up. He gave a nod to the reaper and then looked toward the door. "So, we're cool, right?" He asked one last time, more of to just make sure than anything else. It was then that he noticed the time. He grimaced slightly how long he'd spent since leaving his dorm room, knowing his minipets would probably be curious or worried if he didn't come back soon. "Ahh, I've gotta run. I've got to make sure my boogeymon hasn't clawed my door apart back in at my dorm." He said, taking a few steps toward the door. "I'll see you around, I guess. Enjoy your pizza." Moure said with a little grin, then walked rather quickly over to the door.
Within moments of crossing out of the reaper's room, Moure was sprinting down the hallway, heading home to make sure his minipets hadn't done anything to his room. Thinking back on everything, Moure had actually expected that to go over a lot worse. He was glad to know Roch wasn't still mad at him.
