Melody was crying as she layed in her mother's arms. She was feeling a bit better though since she was warm. Her little tail was soaked along with her entired body. She then grips her mother's shirt trying to get warm again.

Cody looked at Melody hearing her crying but he saw her wet tail but he got a towel, gently walking over and looked at them, "Here... this should help get her dry and warm her up." He said softly, keeping his distance as to not scare Melody.

Emily nodded her head and smiled and gently dried Melody off as she cuddled her close to her chest and smiled as she kissed her forehead " Its okay little one.." Emily said and smiled as gently rocked Melody and hummed a melody to help her rest

Cody looked at them as Emily dried Melody off but the thought about it, "Can I get either of you something to eat or drink?" He asked a bit concerned.

" Can i get some water please.." Emily said as she gently leaned against the couch and gently rocked Melody happy that she was alright

Cody nodded to her but then when he went to the kitchen, he thought about how Melody was coughing. He walked back to the living room with a glass of water, a bottle of children's medicine and a small medicine measuring cup. He looked at Emily, "You should give some medicine to your little girl... She might need it to keep from getting a severe cold and would help her if she has a cold already and with her cough." He explained softly.

Melody then stops crying and grips her mother's shirt wanting to go home. She then looks at Cody and cooes at him.

Cody looked at Melody when she stopped crying but then saw her coo at him, he blushed but then felt a bit of pain in his chest, his heart was hurting a bit, but then he looked at her, "Hey they little one." He said softly to her.

Melody then reaches for Cody and cooes at him still having the tel around her. She could sense that Cody was nice and wouldn't hurt them.

Cody saw Melody reach for him, he froze slightly but thought about it, he couldn't think about how this could have been his daughter that he had lost before she was born, but he didn't want to pick Melody up if Emily didn't let him.

Melody cooes then saw that he wasn't wanting to make her mother angry. She then looks at him cutely and Once Emily put her down she goes over to Cody and grips his pant leg pulling on it and looking up at him.

Cody looked down at Melody, seeing her crawl to his leg but then when she pulled on his pants leg, he leaned down but then gently picked her up and cradled her in his arms gently.

Melody had never taken to anyone this quickly. She felt safe with Cody. She then grips his shirt and giggles as she snuggles against him feeling how warm he was.
