Jane frowned a little and looked back at Dante. "Something wrong?" she asked him, wondering if it was something she said.

"No. Its nothing." He managed a smile hoping she wouldn't notice the pain he was feeling from remembering his parents' death.

"You know you're a terrible liar, right?" Jane chuckled then paused as the oven's timer went off. "But you're lucky I'm starving." she said and went to the oven, using her shapeshifting abilities to shift her hands into oven mitts.

"Huh? Oh, yeah, I guess." Jane murmured while setting the cake down on the stovetop. "I'm a shapeshifter." she shrugged then turned to him. "What are you?"

Dante looked down unsure of his response and rubbed his arm. He closed his eyes and opened them again revealing purple flame eyes. "I'm a demon"

"Demon?" Jane blinked and handed him a slice of cake. "Cool. Most of my friends are demons." she smirked and sat down next to him.

"Yeah, demons multiply faster than bunnies." Jane smirked and laughed at Dante's expression. "I guess there's got to be something sexy about you demons, eh?" she teased.

"Yeah. We really know how to heat up a room." Dante winked playfully as he picked at his cake. He started to blush when he realized he did that.

Dante blushed brightly and quietly ate his cake not knowing how to respond to that. After he finished he stood up and put his plate in the sink on the table and wiped icing off his hands.

"What's the matter? Cat got your tongue?" she grinned and shapeshifted into a cat, pawing at his leg.

"Definately." He grinned and looked down at her. He gently stroked her back. Her fur felt smooth under his finger tips.

She let her back arch up in reaction and wrapped her tail around his arm. She nuzzled his hand and purred, having fun being a cat.
