The senshi were from Earth? But his General had called them aliens. Didn't that mean they weren't human? Or at least not from Earth? Or was the Negaverse mistaken on this part? He didn't have much time to think as she ran at him. He took the blow in his shoulder and he reacted with a punch of his own. It missed, but he was able to grab her arm in the process. He stumbled a few steps back.
"I've never killed anyone. I only take enough energy for the quotas and leave them alive. Unconcious, yes, but alive. I'm protecting my people, Featherbutt, and that means I don't kill them," he said calmly as he grabbed her wrist and bent in such a way she'd feel pain. The Lt. looked down at her and sighed.
"I only want to protect the people I care about... and not have to run around in bows, or tights, or with a** wings, or any of that. I don't need eternal glory, or stars, or silly princesses in white gowns. I just want the power to protect people, and if that means I chose Chaos to do it, then it is what it is..." he said to her, looking her straight in the eyes. He let go of her and dismissed his picks. "I was once one of them, just a normal human, too, you know."
The last bit was quiet, was soft, but true. He jerked his head in the direction of the fire escape. "Go, Featherbutt." He was letting her go. Was it the right idea? Perhaps not. But he had somethings to think about now... and he wanted to do that without her around.

Her stomach gave a threatening wrench as her punch connected, but it didn't phase him at all. Instead, she found herself captive to the agent, and she fought until her wrist started hurting. Then she listened.
He was protecting his people? By using them to fuel their attack on senshi. Her anger flickered back to life as he mentioned this princess again. How many people did she have to tell? She didn't care about this princess, or what she did. If it was good, it didn't last. If it was bad, then more reason to not follow her. She was about to retort with just these statements when he caught her eyes. Grus's mouth closed, and she froze until he pushed her away.
I was once one of them, just a normal human, too, you know.
She took a few steps toward the fire escape, watching him in case he summoned a youma to give chase, be he remained still. When she reached the ladder, she looked back and said "We all were normal once. Sometimes I wish it were that easy to go back to being that way."
"Thank you, for letting me go."
And then she disappeared.

He cursed under his breath and looked out over the city. Damn. He couldn't tell if he'd let her go out of pity, spite, or mercy. He felt her energy signature fade away and he let out a grumble. Bah, sometimes this was too damn hard to justify. Jarosite thought over her words for a moment. She'd been human too? That hardly made sense if she was an alien like the rest of the senshi.
Bah nothing made much sense right now. Senshi, Negaverse, energy collecting. None of it. He made his way down the building and powered down. He had a lot to think on.
It was good it was a few miles walk home. It would let him think.
