Mintz would have shape shifted to a wolf when he heard his response, but he didn't have energy to do it. "Okay, cool" he said mainly to himself deciding to shape shift later after getting some rest.

Kenshin saw thatt Mintz had finished off the rest of the food, he took the plate and put in the kitchen sink. Once again Kenshin returned outside and sat down, he know he wouldn't be able to physically stay out for much longer but he really didn't care. Kenshin looked out to the distant forest....
"Do you know how many acres are in this forest?" Kenshin asked...

Mintz shook his head, "No, I no clue how many acres there in this forest" he answered.

Kenshin continued to look out to the trees....
"Twenty-eight acres from each side of this clearing....Beyond that an old, forgoton highway....I was told that after eighteen miles it leads to a little old town. Evergreen, established in ninteen thirty-eight, population five hundred and twenty two..." Kenshin recited all the information by heart, stuff that he was told and books that confirmed it. This was the so called "perfect location"...

Hearing about the old town got Mintz thinking about escaping again. He knew he has plenty of chances of doing because of what he was. Yet, he didn't want to leave his master even he felt like being someone's slave was degrading and offensive. Although so he hadn't been treated like slave figured that's he hadn't considered leaving right now.

Kenshin looked at Mintz and saw a thoughtful look for a moment, Kenshin sighed...
"Your thinking about running away....don't lie." Kenshin said monotonely, then added the last thing when Mintz was about to deny it...

Mintz felt shocked for a moment that his master guessed what he was thinking. "Yeah..I was thinking it" he admitted. "Although, I don't know how to survive on my own" he said while looking at the plants and trees.

Kenshin shrugged and stood up and leaned against one of the wooden posts...
"Wait a week before you run off, I am not feeling well and I need someone to just watch on me for a bit until my tempature goes down a bit. The guards will not be back for three weeks, so you'd be long gone by then. I'll give you what you need to reach town...." Kenshin offered him, keeping his voice casual. He didn't need a slave, what he did need he can't get by forcing someone where they didn't want to be...

Mintz looked at Kenshin then he responded, "O-okay". The thought of being alone in a town he never been to made his stutter. He looked down feeling like he let his dead parents down for not speaking up about what else he was thinking. It was frustrating to him that he hopes for a future of a place where he belonged and keep disappointing himself. He stood up feeling tired now and his emotions overwhelmed him to no end.

"Yeah, a nap would be good" responded Mintz and kept back a yawn. He figured getting some would do him so good for his mind if not he'll just feel refreshed.

Kenshin waited for Mintz to follow and after going through a few hallways, they reached a fairly large, basic bedroom. A shiki futon was in the middle of the room....
"You may rest here."

Mintz followed after Kenshin to the bedroom he will be sleeping in. He smiled happy to not having to sleep in a cage and he forget all about his worries and frustrations. Without another second go by he shape shifted to a wolf then bounded over to the futon. He touched the futon with his paw after halting to a stop. He sat down on the floor then over at the doorway realizing he used his ability when he didn't plan to.

Kenshin blinked in surprise, then started to understand Mintz curiosity about his favorite animal....
"Your an insteresting fellow...aren't you..." Kenshin asked questionably....
