No... Riyo supposed they probably hadn't gone through the same thing, considering... "I can't say I feel the same." It was the last thing she would say on the matter. There were a lot of things she wished she could give back to the universe and never see again. Many things...
"My assistant is meeting us in town. On the corner of Specter Street and Wolves Bane Lane." Riyo wasn't particularly sure what was there, but the feline at least knew how to get to the streets. "Since I've been enrolled, he's been gathering up the paperwork and delivering it to me weekly." Sometimes by minipet if it was a small load, other times she'd simply meet him half way. Mail was either too slow or too expensive... Though it would've been nice in this downpour.

"Your assistant?" Oh, that's right. Riyo ran a business of some sort, though Mitsu didn't know much about it outside of the fact that her business card was really fancy. Having only a vague idea of where they were going Mitsu relied on Riyo to lead them. If Mitsu were in charge...they would end up in a completely wrong place.
Curious, Mitsu wanted to ask about Riyo's business but again the lycan wasn't sure what limit to put on prying. "What sort of paperwork? If you don't mind me asking." It was an easy enough escape if the feline didn't want to talk about it. "I remember your business card. Do you run a big company?"

"I handle a lot of the financial work in the company." Riyo said without hesitation, though she didn't appear proud either. "That way I know it gets done right."
Her mother had relied on a lot of other people to run the company, and the results hadn't been nearly as profitable.. But her mother also had a social life.
Which Riyo really didn't.
"Oh uh, yeah. I guess you can say it's a pretty good size." It was sort of like a child. She'd watched it slowly grow bigger and bigger...
A parasitic child that fed off of her time and effort. "The financial work isn't all I do, though... I make the final calls, too."
Which was... The worst part of the job.

Oh, that sounded interesting. So Riyo was good with money, or Mitsu could assume she was if she oversaw the money for the business. Mitsu could imagine that would be rough, she had to watch over her own money carefully and that was hard enough. Watching over large amounts of money for a business sounded complicated.
"Final calls?" Mitsu asked tilting her head slightly. She had no idea what that meant, but she also really had no idea what Riyo's company did.

For a moment, the feline's face grew solemn when Mitsu questioned what she said. Riyo could tell her just what that meant... But...
"I don't think you'd feel the same about me if you knew what that meant."
So why wouldn't Riyo tell her? Hadn't she wanted the ghoul to leave her alone?
It appeared that the two were approaching a corner, most likely the street they were looking for. A small cafe sat inbetween two currently indistinguishable buildings.
A figure sat just outside at one of the umbrella sheltered tables, the confident stance easily spotted even in this weather. "We're here."

Mitsu's ears tilted curiously at the top of her head when Riyo gave a reply that wasn't an answer. She wouldn't think of her the same way? What did that mean exactly? The lycan opened her mouth to ask but closed it once again. If Riyo had wanted her to know she would have told her instead of warning her about it. Though, from what little Mitsu knew about Riyo so far that seemed a little surprising. The feline was rather forward about things.
"Here?" Mitsu looked up not even realizing they had arrived to their destination. She had started to look up toward the street signs to verify but the man sitting outside the cafe caught her attention. Was this who Riyo was meeting? This man seemed to ooze confidence, though Mitsu supposed you would been all you could get in working with a business. "Is that who you're meeting?" Mitsu asked to verify, though she didn't gesture toward the man.

"Yes..." She reluctantly admitted, stopping just out of the normal range of hearing. Not that Riyo thought her associate would be able to hear her with the rain pouring anyways.
"I'd advise you disregard anything he says about me." Or maybe she should regard it. Maybe the feline should stop telling lies and let Mitsu know the truth. That way Mitsu wouldn't get comfortable with this... And neither would Riyo.
Well, let the lycan think what she wants. If it happens, it happens.
Continuing their approach, the man's features came into view. Long, black wavy hair and icy blue eyes that could stare right through you. If his curled horns didn't give it away, the essence he practically reeked screamed demon.
"Good afternoon, Miss President." And his voice... Was strangely as cold as those blue orbs.
The man did not stand up at her approach. If anything, he seemed to grow more comfortable. "It's so lonely in the office without you. I have nobody to tease." An uncommonly large grin spread across his face... And it certainly didn't scream friendly.
Riyo didn't appear pleased to see him in the least. "Mr. Lyle." She acknowledged his greeting, but did her best to disregard his second comment. "Where are the-"
"Who is this?" The man asked, gesturing towards Mitsu with pale, slender fingers. "Don't tell me you've actually made a friend."

"Disregard?" Mitsu asked though she didn't get a chance to get clarification as they continued to approach. As they closed the distance and the man's features came more into view, Mitsu could feel the tingling of uneasy tickling her mind. Something about this man was unnerving though she wasn't sure what.
As he greeted Riyo, Mitsu couldn't help but note the informal nature the demon took with the feline. And that smile....it made the fur on Mitsu's tail bristle her body starting to stiffen. She had seen a similar smile...but on someone else. It often was the fuel of her nightmares and the sight of it now on another sent chills up her spine.
It didn't help matters when Riyo clearly wanted to do business and the man disregarded it and focused his attention on her. Mitsu was nearly rigid by this point but managed to take a small side step closer to Riyo in her nervous state. Should she introduce herself? The moment was filled with uncertainty.

Jack dammit. This just couldn't go over smoothly, could it?
"I don't have friends." Riyo immediately replied. "This is Mitsu. She is a student at my school and decided to accompany me." Though they wouldn't be walking together as enemies...
"Mhm." Obviously Lyle didn't buy it. Though, the more important matter was how frightened the... Werewolf? It smelled like wolf... How frightened the werewolf's stance was.
... If only he could see past that mask. What was up with it, anyways? "Well Miss Mitsu, you don't have to be afraid. I don't bite." One could almost imagine him following that up with '... Much.'
"HEY." Riyo called attention to herself again, eyes narrowing upon her vice president. "Papers. Now."
"Touchy... Juuust like your m-"
"PAPERS." This time, it was Riyo who interrupted. She knew exactly what he was going to say.
Shrugging, the demon reached down under the table and placed a binder on top of it. "As the president wishes..." Ooooh, how interesting. He bet this little wolf had no idea just what kind of mess she was dealing with. Delicious.

I don't have friends.
Mitsu's ears fell back a little at that phrase, but she supposed she hadn't known Riyo long. Hardly long enough to be considered friends perhaps. Her added introduction to Mr. Lyle hardly made her feel at ease nor did his comment about biting.
Remaining silent Mitsu looked to Riyo as the feline tried to gain her associate's attention once again. Mitsu could tell that while Mr. Lyle might have listened and produced the papers as Riyo asked he didn't hold Riyo's authority to a high standard. And what was he about to say before she cut him off? Mitsu wasn't certain.

"About damn time.." It was what Riyo said instead of 'thank you' most days.
"You're welcome." And Lyle knew that. Smirking, a clever plan seemed to be in motion, those little gears cranking a mile a minute.
"Mitsu." He started, looking back at the girl with interest. "Do you like shopping? Because there just happens to be two lovely dress stores on either side of this cafe." As soon as he mentioned dresses, his icy eyes quickly glanced to Riyo so he could gauge the situation.
And it was obvious the feline wasn't happy. Her face contorted into a mix of rage and fear, though when she remembered that Mitsu was in her presence, she tried to hide it. She hated how he knew each one of her weaknesses. How he taunted her just enough that she worried he would spill everything. Just another reason why friends seemed pointless to her.
"And with that, I'll be off." The slender demon stood to his feet, reaching down for the umbrella that had been hanging on his chair. As he opened it, he gave a parting nod to both of them, remaining on Mitsu for a few moments longer before he turned and headed back to the rock he crawled out from under.

Riyo's tone was harsh. Was this normally how their business transactions went? It seemed a little stressful but Lyle didn't seem to mind in the least. It was like he was playing a game.
Hearing her name, Mitsu looked toward the demon, though her ears fell back a little. "Shopping?" She finally spoke looking to the shops he had indicated beside them. Dresses, she didn't mind dresses. "I..I guess?" Shopping wasn't often something Mitsu did namely because she didn't have the money for it. No need to look at something she couldn't afford to buy. It would only leave her wanting.
The lycan didn't seem to notice how Lyle's little suggestion made Riyo react. Her attention had went from the dress shops and immediately back to Mr. Lyle as he stood up ready to leave. "I...it was nice to meet you." Mitsu said softly trying to be polite.

Mitsu's politeness made Riyo cringe. "No it wasn't." She immediately said to the ghoul, disapproval of her words all over her face. "It was hard not to see you were afraid of him."
Sighing, she lifted the binder up off the table and sat her umbrella on the shoulder that wasn't taken up by a hazcat, flipping through the papers with mild interest. What she hadn't noticed is good old Lyle left a small bag of pumpkin seeds on the table under it.
"That is one of the most selfish, greedy men you'll ever meet." Though, upon thinking about her words, Riyo realized she couldn't say much. "I suppose I'm not much better than he is, either..." At least she could admit it.
Tail swaying now that their visit was out of the way, the feline's eyes peered over her binder to the masked ghoul. "Is there some place you would like to go while we are in town?"

Flinching at Riyo's words, Mitsu looked up toward the feline as she corrected her. Sure she had been scared but...it was only right to be polite. It was also not very reassuring to Mitsu that her fear was so easily visible to everyone. True if she didn't have her mask it would be very apparent but the fact that she was hiding her face and everyone could still easily tell....it meant she needed to work harder....but he had been really scary.
Taking in Riyo's words about the man and herself for that matter Mitsu let out a sigh looking back toward where Mr. Lyle had been sitting. At first Mitsu didn't see anything, she was merely staring at where the man had been sitting while Riyo flipped through her paperwork. "I guess I could always get more fear candy for Milo..." It wasn't until something caught her eye that the lycan's head tilted slightly. "I..I think he forgot something." She pointed at whatever was under the table.

"Hm?" Forgot something?
Following Mitsu's finger, Riyo finally noticed the small bag. "mm." Closing the binder, she tucked it under her arm and took the couple of strides towards where the demon had been sitting. Upon picking it up, she realized it was some of his 'pocket change'.
Without warning, she tossed the bag Mitsu's way. "Here. Finders keepers." Obviously, the feline didn't need the money. "Get yourself something nice."
