I will listen to practically anything, unless it sucks really badly. I don't like most rap, because it's completely inane. But I like Eminem, because that's not, it's visceral. I'll listen to country, jazz, pop, classic rock, international, just about anything, and I even like Christmas music, songs from Disney movies, and classical. Steel drum music is cool. Faure is sweet. Gershwin is awesome, and has anybody heard of a glass armonica?

A weird instrument, with an unearthly sound. It was invented by Benjamin Franklin, and it consists of a graduated series of glass bowls which are kept slightly wet and mounted on a revolving rod . The musician plays them by holding a finger along the rim of the appropriate size bowl to create the desired note. I've never heard anything like it. I actually have a CD of glass armonica music.

That's just like playing wine glasses. Basically you take a bunch of wine glasses, fill them with different levels of water, and set them really close to each other but not touching. By wetting your finger and rubbing around the rim you can make many a beautiful sound.

I've heard songs that I like in every genre and songs that get on my last nerve in every genre. I guess you can call me eclectic because I can listen to almost anything depending on my mood and there is no genre that completely hate. I was previously not a fan of techno until my friend showed me some beats that were really good. I listen to a lot of rap and r&b but my favorite genre is soul (both new and old school), it always seems to have a soothing affect on me.
If I were a genre I guess I would be soul.

I only really know the stuff that my friend showed me. Some of it was stuff he did himself and I don't remember who did the other stuff.

Ashahis I'm a big fan of Evanescence and Three Days Grace. |~*^.[Jay].^*~|
*Puts on Evanescence CD*
Have you heard Fields of Innocence? Possibly the best Evanescence song ever.
@ Fresnel: Whoo, let's spread the Gershwin love!
@ Duce: you're into soul? I like it, though I haven't heard too much in the genre.

O.O Only the caffeine kept my head from a'sploding right here and now. But yes, just search for Kurdish music and you'll find the stuff I've got. Apparently not a lot of it made it to the US...and I don't know the names or artists of any of my tracks. XD

Nnn...I neglected to mention Christian Rock. Most of that just irritates me. I liked one song by P.O.D. though.
