Mission Start.
Fawkes was running up towards the side of the large Museum in Nacrene City, dressed in all black. Sneasel and Houndour were running alongside him, both blended in nicely with the darkness. This wasn't a typical mission, Fawkes had only brought along these two guys. A three-man team was better in this kind of situation anyways. Fawkes pressed himself against the wall and looked up, spotted a window opened just a crack. He looked down at Sneasel and made a few hands signs, "Sneasel, get on my shoulders then jump up there. Go down and unlock the door." Surprisingly enough, Sneasel seemed to understand perfectly and quickly jumped onto Fawkes shoulders then through the Window. A minute passed then the door slowly opened. Fawkes and Houndour noiselessly walked in. Fawkes and his two pokemon crouched in a dark corner, looking about. There. A Patrat was moving around, they could barely make out it's shape. Fawkes gently poked Sneasel's right arm: the signal to attack. Sneasel vanished in a quick flash and returned just as quick, dragging the now fainted Patrat behind him.
Fawkes nodded and the three took off once more. They took another few steps when a low growl came from behind them. They turned, two Herdier were standing there. They obviously couldn't see Fawkes and his pokemon, but they could sense them. The two dogs growled and Fawkes gently poked both his Pokemon. They vanished. A low yelp of pain was heard as Houndour landed a bite attack and then tossed the Herdier atop the fainted Patrat. Houndour used tackle and the Herdier was out. Sneasel simply used two Night Slash attacks to take down his foe.
This was . . . too easy. Fawkes didn't like it. That meant something was up. He'd find out shortley. They stepped behind another bookshelf and suddenly, a shadow ball flew past Fawkes' head. Crap. That was their game, huh? He turned to make out the shape of a long meerkat-like pokemon. A watchog! The pokemon spread out it's arms and then it used flash, quickly illuminating the room. Crap! "Houndour, Flamethrower!" Houndour was already prepping the attack and released it right away. The watchog was too fast though and lept behind a different shelf. Fawkes smirked, they had planned for this. "waatttchhh!" The pokemon fell backwards and Sneasel stepped out, chuckling softly. Watchog lept up and prepared to use another flash but Sneasel already used Night Slash. The watchog fell backwards, fainted. Houndour pushed the fainted pokemon's body back into a bookcase to hide it. The three looked around to see if anyone else was approaching then they ran off. Fawkes stopped when he heard the faint sound of rushing steps. Damn. They were held up too much. Fawkes turned and spotted three figures run past him, all trying to be silent but not too great.
Sneasel ran off towards the group and jumped at one member. The grunt spun around and tossed out a pokeball, Cranidos sprang out. "Cranidos! Use tackle!" The Cranidos was too confused by the darkness to truly move, so Sneasel took advantage. He charged forwards and slashed at the small dinosaur-like pokemon with a false swipe. "Crani-!" Cranidos stepped back but didn't fall. He growled and stamped his foot. Cranidos charged, aiming blindly. Fawkes smiled, he could barely make out the fight but he knew Sneasel was winning. Sneasel lept over the charging Cranidos and used ice beam on it's feet, freezing the lil dinosaur to the ground. The Cranidos struggled, "Cranidos. Come on!" Cranidos tried to move but it couldn't, Sneasel charged directly at the Cranidos and used slash. The attack shatted the ice and hurled back the pokemon against his trainer. The two grunted and fell to the ground, both unconscious. Fawkes bit his lip... this was definitely too easy. They were mocking him and his friends. He was sure of it.
Fawkes was about to run off when he felt something, a little suction cup against his calf. He looked down, a Lileep was staring up at him. "Lil." Fawkes jumped back, "Houndour!" Houndour didn't skip a beat and released flamethrower on the Lileep. The little sucker ran off. Fawkes looked down, it was trying to hurt him. His pant leg was ruined, as if acid was poured on his clothing... damn it. He couldn't be so careless.
Fawkes and his two pokemon ran forwards again. They froze as a human walked in front of them, this one wasn't like the others. This one appeared to be a civilian... with a flashlight. She spun around and pointed the light straight at Fawkes. "Aha! I thought I heard something! Go!" The girl tossed out a pokeball and an Audino sprang out. "Houndour. Take it out." Houndour stepped forwards and released a growl, "HOUNDOUR!" The girl stepped back at it's ferocity, "How scary. Audino, use double slap. Dodge then move in with a bite."
Audino ran forwards and Houndour didn't falter. He charged, a small smirk on the dogs face. Audino swung with one hand but Houndour ducked. He didn't see the second hand and grunted as it hit him hard across the face. Houndour stepped back but then charged and bit into Audino's arm. "Audino!" The pokemon cried out in pain. The girl growled, "Now you got him. Use Double Slap and don't stop!" Fawkes chuckled, "that won't work. Houndour. Toss Audino into the air then follow with a full-blown Flamethrower." The girl's face twisted in terror as Houndour firmly pressed his paws against the ground. "Houn...", he tossed up Audino and released the flamethrower, "DOUR!"
The girl was petrified and pulled herself together at the last second, "Audino! Protect!" It was too late however, the flames consumed the Audino and took out the majority of it's energy. It fell to the ground, slamming agianst the pavement. That took out the rest of it's energy. Audino lay there and the girl stared at it in shock. Fawkes didn't like defeating girls but he needed too. "...i'm sorry. Here." Fawkes handed the girl a revive then moved past her. Houndour stopped and looked at the Audino then walked alongside it's master. Sneasel was already ahead, fighting one of the Lillipup's guarding this place. When Fawkes stepped close, Sneasel just finished the battle. He turned and smiled at his master before they all raced forwards towards another door. They stepped in and looked around. Houndour sniffed the air and turned to Fawkes, nodding four times. Four enemies in this room. Unclear as if they were trainers, random pokemon guards or the Team Lore. That was ok. Fawkes and his friends would take them all down.
They spotted the first one, a trainer it seemed. Although for which side he was on was unclear. No flashlight. Probably Team Lore. The person turned slightly and stared right at Fawkes. Both remained frozen, neither moving an inch. Until Sneasel grew confused and stepped forwards. "Snea?" Oh god. The person smirked, 'Go Tirtouga!" Fawkes looked at Sneasel, "since you blew our cover, you take him?" Sneasel just laughed nervously and stepped forwards to fight. Fawkes wasn't really upset, more amused than anything really. Sneasel stepped forwards and examined the little turtle. Certainly nothing he'd ever faced before. "Snea? Tirtouga!" Sneasel's claws began to glow a black hue as the Tirtouga released a water pulse attack. Sneasel dove under the water gun and charged forwards in a somewhat crouched position. He brought his claw up, uppercutting the Tirtouga. "Sneasel. I think we just made up a new move. Night Uppercut!" Sneasel rolled his eyes at his partner and simply charged forwards once more, using quick attack. Tirtouga shook himself off and glared at Sneasel. It tucked in it's head, "tttiiiirrrr...", then charged forwards surrounded by a veil of water, Aqua Jet, "...touga!" Sneasel was surprised by the attack and grunted as it hit him dead center. Sneasel jumped back and landed on his back. He rose and glared at the turtle.
Tirtouga looked rather pleased with itself though and started to laugh. It was getting too cocky though and didn't notice that Sneasel was already charging with another quick attack. By the time Tirtouga noticed, Sneasel slammed into the blue turtle and sent him back. This Tirtouga was definitely interesting. Fawkes made it a personal moral rule never to snag from a regular trainer, but this rule didn't specify on evil teams. He held out his hand and a pokeball formed. "What are you doing?" Fawkes tossed the ball without saying a word. The ball hit the dazed Tirtouga and pulled it in. The Team Lore member stared in shock as the ball stopped shaking, signalling that the capture was successful. The ball flew back and landed in Fawkes' palm. Fawkes expected it to simply vanished, then he remembered that he only had Sneasel and Houndour with him. Alright then, it won't vanish this time. He placed the pokeball on his belt. The Lore member growled in annoyance, "let's see how you do against this guy. Let's go!" He tossed out a pokeball, the Lileep from earlier popped out. "Sneasel. Switch out. Go Houndour." Houndour stepped forwards and growled. The little Lileep just stared at Houndour, "lliiillll."
Fawkes chuckled, "Houndour. Just like with the Audino." Houndour charged forwards. Lileep stayed it's ground, it didn't even move. Houndour bit the Lileep and even though the strange pokemon flinched, it didn't move. Houndour planted his paws firmly on the ground and went to toss up Lileep but the pokemon didn't budge at all. "What?" The Lore member chuckled darkly, "It's suction cups keep it from being flung. Lileep, wring out." Fawkes' eyes widened. Wring out is a technique that hurts the foe the higher his HP is. Houndour was practically fully healed at the moment. Lileep released it's hold on the ground and flung Houndour away. Houndour slammed hard against the ground and yelped in pain. The large black dog was breathing roughly. This... was insane. How was Houndour losing? Fawkes grit his teeth, "It's ok boy. Use Flamethrower!" The Lore member smirked, "Ancient Power!" Lileep began to glow and suddenly, a large boulder appeared and flung itself at Houndour. The boulder crashed into Houndour and tossed him back. Sneasel rushed forwards but Fawkes shook his head. "Houndour!" He started to run forwards when a strange white glow covered Houndour. Just like... when Totodile evolved. Fawkes stared in amazement as Houndour's form began to change. His tail grew and got a little devil tip at the end, he grew horns... then it faded.
HOUNDOOM!" The Lore member stepped back, "Lileep. Ancient Power." Houndoom smirked and a black hue formed around him. Then it pulsed out, like a shockwave. The shockwave hit the Lileep and slammed it against a wall. Dark Pulse...? Houndoom charged forwards at a rapid pace and before Lileep even managed to stand up, bit down. Houndoom tossed the Lileep into the air and used flamethrower. When the Lileep fell to the ground, it was done. Fawkes smiled. "Don't underestimate my pokemon." Houndoom growled, as if in agreement and walked over to stand by Fawkes. The three of them took off towards the other door. They were stopped by two Herdier though. Houndoom and Sneasel broke off from one another, each of them heading for one Herdier. One Herdier tried to use Quick Attack but Sneasel was faster and slashed at it. The second Herdier was too intimidated by Houndoom to move and was slammed into. Houndoom used firefang on the Herdier then tossed it aside when he won. Sneasel kept up his barrage of slashes until the Herdier was down for the count. Houndoom sniffed the air, one more to go. Just then, they heard a voice. "Who's there?" A flashlight landed on them and the three turned around to see an elderly man. Fawkes was going to try and explain he was doing something very important but before he could say anything, the man had already tossed two pokeballs. A Herdier and a Watchog.
Fawkes sighed as both Sneasel and Houndoom charged forwards. The Watchog immediately went into a Flash attack, which allowed the Herdier to aim properly. Herdier slammed into Houndoom and managed to push the larger dog back a few feet but not down. Houndoom used dark pulse on the Herdier. Herdier grunted as it was hit and landed on it's feet. "Quick, Herdier. Use roar." Herdier used roar attack and it forced Houndoom back its pokeball. Tirtouga came out and looked around in confusion. "Tir?" Fawkes wasn't expecting that but he quickly looked at Tirtouga's moves... aqua jet, ancient power, bite, protect and ... bulldoze? Woah. Nice. Fawkes looked up, "Use Aqua Jet."
Tirtouga pulled it's head in and cried out as it was engulfed in water then shot right at the Herdier. Herdier was surprised by the attack and was hit by full force. "Herdier!" The Herdier was knocked out and Tirtouga looked rather pleased himself. Fawkes realized his new friend was a battle, but he was cocky. It was somewhat amusing. Fawkes smiled and turned to Sneasel and Watchog. "Use Thunderbolt!"
Fawkes was surprised slightly but he didn't allow it to show, "Dodge then follow through with an ice beam attack." The watchog brought it's legs close to it's chest and electricity began to circulate around it. Sneasel crouched, ready for the attack. "Watchog!!!" The meerkat-like pokemon released a large bolt of electricity directly at Sneasel. Sneasel lept aside, avoiding the attack and charged forwards. Sneasel opened it's mouth, shooting it towards the Watchog.
Watchog dodged the attack and lunged forwards, using low kick on Sneasel. Sneasel was shocked and grunted as he fell back. Sneasel rose from his spot and glared at Watchog. "Snea!" Sneasel stood up and glared. Fawkes then had an idea, "Ice Beam on the floor! what?" Fawkes smiled but Sneasel looked confused as well until he finally understood. Sneasel smirked and used ice beam, covering the floor in a thin layer of ice. Watchog looked just as confused, that is until it tried to use quick attack. The Watchog slipped on the ice and fell flat on it's face but Sneasel was used to things like this.
Sneasel jumped on the ice and skated directly towards the Watchog. "Night Uppercut!" Sneasel sighed at his partner but skated across the ice. His claws began to glow a black hue and he brought it up, slamming the claw into Watchog's chin, tossing it back. Watchog slammed against the ice, fainted . . .
Fawkes reached for Tirtouga's pokeball, "return Tirtouga." Tirtouga vanished into the Pokeball and Fawkes pulled out Houndoom's ball and released the large dog. The dog growled and the three of them moved into the third, and final room.
Houndoom sniffed. Only two enemies in here. Fawkes could already guess who they were. He bit his lip and stepped forwards, a large spotlight suddenly appeared overhead. A male's voice echoed throughout the room. "Well well well. Are you the one taking down my minions?" Fawkes smirked and nodded. Then two balls were thrown and out sprang an Aerodactyl as well as a Sigilyph. The two avian pokemon cried out as they prepared for battle. Fawkes clenched his jaw, he was sure that if he tried enough he could win. Although, it'd be incredibly difficult . . .
The male stepped forwards and chuckled, "you can't win this boy." Fawkes called out to his friends, "Sneasel, used Ice Beam on the Sigilyph. Houndoom, Dark Pulse on Aerodactyl." The man chuckled, "Sigilyph, aerial ace. Aerodactyl, dragonbreath." The battle lasted for several minutes... and Sneasel fainted, but Fawkes won. Lore Leader growled, "damn you boy. No matter. The book is mine!" He held up the book. Fawkes' heart skipped a beat. Damn! What would he do now??? He noticed that Houndoom seemed to have vanished but Fawkes didn't say a word... maybe Lord Leader wouldn't notice either. Lore Leader was too busy gloating, "the Regi's are mine! I win! Face it, you're foolish "gray" concept is nothing compared to me. Give up you foolish -AHH! When the hell did you get here???" Houndoom snuck up on the Lore Leader and attacked, grabbing the book and taking it. Fawkes smirked as Houndoom trotted over to him, the book in his jaw. "You're wrong. I win. Houndoom. Show him the move you're so proud of." Lore Leader's eyes widened as Houndoom used Flamethrower, completely disintegrating the book. Fawkes planted his hands on his hips, "The concept of gray... I win."
Fawkes heard a voice come from behind him. The voice of Lenore, "who goes there?" Lore Leader looked over at the voice, by the time he looked back, Fawkes and Houndoom was gone. A light knock came from the window. Fawkes waved and ran off, leaving Lore Leader to deal with Lenore...
Mission Complete.
Mission Successful.

Press Button, Receive Pokemon
Difficulty: Easy-Medium
Well this makes some sense.
In addition to a rash of theft in various cities in the Johto region, devices have been popping up in cities. These booth-like objects are dispensers; for a fee, they'll distribute a Pokemon in a Pokeball, which is automatically registered as belonging to the buyer.
The problem is that the owner of the dispensers, a booming company called EngeCo., has been investigated thoroughly- there's no sign of any thievery or foul play, and indeed, the Pokemon dispensed from the machines seem to have very little in common with the ones that are stolen.
They're supposedly abandoned Pokemon, which have been put up for adoption- the idea is that in this way, the Pokemon are more easily adopted. Maybe it's true, maybe it isn't.
What I want you to do is discover the truth. Are the machines connected to the thefts? Are the thieves working for EngeCo? Or are the two completely unrelated?
EngeCo.'s CEO, Andrew Richards, has announced plans to expand into Kanto and Hoenn. If they're bad guys, we need to stop them before they can do that.
Objectives:
Investigate EngeCo., the Vending Machines, and the thefts as thoroughly as possible. If there's a connection between EngeCo. and the thefts, put an end to the company's public presence by proving it and taking them down. If not, stop the thieving, and clear EngeCo.'s name.
Opposition:
The thieves are likely to try and stop you- and if they're connected, EngeCo. will definitely send hired thugs to deal with you as well.
Pokemon:
You may snag one Pokemon available at your rank from the thieves, or capture one wild Pokemon.
Rewards:
Vary. You may receive an egg if you do an outstanding job on this mission.

Mission Start
Fawkes sat on a bench, looking around Goldenrod City. He spotted three of these strange machines around him. A boy, maybe 10-11 ran up to a machine laughing and with a large smile on his face. Fawkes watched as the child popped in his money, and a pokeball came out. It seemed... too easy. Fawkes nearly choked when the boy tossed the pokeball and out came a dratini. Woah. Those are supposed to be incredibly rare and here the child got one as if nothing. What luck. Fawkes watched as the boy hugged his new friend and the two ran off to play. A light smile formed on his lips, at least the Dratini was going to a good owner. Fawkes sighed and stood up, looking around. A few people were looking or operating the machines but some stayed away. Fawkes personally, wouldn't want to use one of these machines.
He noticed two men dressed in black hiding in a alley, watching all the people. Fawkes rose an eyebrow and then they spotted him. The men took off running. No use. Fawkes reached for a pokeball and tossed it up. "Follow them ok Pidge?" The little Pidgey burst out of her pokeball and was already on pursuit. Fawkes smiled and walked over to a machine, looking inside. A little girl was waiting behind him so Fawkes stepped aside and watched as she inserted her coin. The machine rumbled for a bit and then the Pokeball came out. The girl seemed happy as she ran back to her parents holding the ball above her head.
Fawkes smiled then took off in a light jog into the alley. He ran for several minutes and then Pidge returned. Fawkes looked up at her, "you lose 'em?" Pidge shook her head and flew ahead. Fawkes picked up speed. They turned a corner and spotted the two men sitting on some steps, trying to catch their breath. "Woah! Crap! Electabuzz!" One tossed a pokeball and the large thunder-titan came out. Fawkes took a step back and reached for his pokeball. Pidge wouldn't do too much good in this fight. "Go." He tossed the ball and out came Nido. "Nido! Nido!" This lil guy hasn't seen action in a while but turned to Fawkes when he saw his enemy. Fawkes just chuckled, "you can do it buddy." Nido turned back to his enemy. "Electa... Use Quick Attack."
"Dodge then use Poison Sting." Nido ran to the side but Electabuzz was faster. He slammed into Nidoran and tossed him back. "Nido!" Nido hit the ground and growled as he started to rise. Fawkes bit his lip, "You ok? Use Poison Sting." Electabuzz was too strong for Nido, Fawkes knew that. There was only one way to assure victory in this battle...
Nido used poison sting but Electabuzz moved and slammed into Nido once more. Nido hit the ground hard and forced himself up, shaking slightly. "You can do it buddy. Wait for my mark. Pssh! Electabuzz. Take them out." Electabuzz smirked and ran forwards, "ELECTABUZZ!" Fawkes waited until he pulled his hand back to swing. "HORN ATTACK!" Nido's horn grew triple in size and began to glow a blinding white. He lunged forwards and slammed his horn into Electabuzz's chest. Electabuzz was surprised and stumbled back, falling on the ground.
Fawkes smiled, "Poison Sting!" Electabuzz was starting to rise when the poison sting hit it. It grunted in pain for several seconds then slowly rose. It's movements were heavily sluggish though. Perfect. Electabuzz was poisoned. "Discharge."
Electabuzz released bolts of electricity in every direction and Nido tried to dodge but it was too much. Nido was hit by at least three bolts and fell over, fainted. Fawkes grunted and grabbed a pokeball, calling back his Nidoran. That's what he got for not training too much with his friend. Fawkes reached for another pokeball and tossed it. "Bulldoze."
Tirtouga sprang forth and cried out as he slammed his entire weight on the ground. The ground began to rumble and then crack under Electabuzz, "Elec?...", the ground gave way and Electabuzz fell into a hole, "...tabuzz!" The first male ran over and looked in. Electabuzz was fainted. "Damn it. Retreat." He returned Electabuzz then took off. The second male stood up though and reached for his own pokeball. "I'm not as weak. Magmar!" He tossed out a pokeball and the lava-pokemon came out. "Magmar." Fawkes smiled, "Aqua Jet." Tirtouga tucked his head in, "Tir...", water surrounded him and he shot forwards like a bullet, "...TOUGA!" Tirtouga slammed into Magmar, making the fire-pokemon cry out in pain. Tirtouga landed on the floor, "Ancient Power." A strange colored hue formed around Tirtouga and then a large boulder began to levitate. The boulder slammed into the Magmar. "Mag!" Fawkes was surprised. This... was much easier. "Magmar. Flare Blitz." Fawkes' eyes grew, "Wait... a magmar can't learn that."
A large barrier of fire bursted from Magmar's body, covering it, much like the aqua jet. The man smirked, "It's an egg move. I've had this Magmar since it hatched from an egg." Fawkes was surprised but happy to learn this magmar wasn't stolen or anything. Magmar charged forwards at Tirtouga and Fawkes knew that although difficult, he could do this. "Protect!" Tirtouga cried out and a blue barrier formed around him. Magmar slammed into the barrier and pushed against it, the two pokemon struggled for a bit but the barrier proved to be too much. Magmar was flung back and he slammed into the ground. "Aqua Jet." Tirtouga went through his usual process to form the aqua jet and charged, slamming into Magmar as he was rising. The flame bodied pokemon slammed against a dumpster and stayed there, knocked out. The trainer returned Magmar then looked at Fawkes. "Good match. Why were you chasing us anyway?"
Fawkes gave the man a confused look, "aren't you a thief...?" The man laughed and shook his head, "no no no. I work for EngeCo. We thought you were trying to rob us." Fawkes sighed, what a misunderstanding. The man laughed and extended his hand. "Names James. Why don't you come with me? We'll heal your pokemon and i'll see if I can help you in anyway." Fawkes nodded and shook James' hand, "Fawkes." They two walked towards the large headquarters of EngeCo.
James talked on and on and Fawkes followed him, listening to his words. He noticed a few shady characters around the headquarters but that was usually normal. They stopped in front of a healing machine and the James healed all their pokemon. Once they were done, he showed Fawkes around the corporation. Fawkes remained silent, choosing to listen for anything strange. Finally, they stopped at the front doors. James smiled at Fawkes, "as you can see, we have nothing to hide. However, these pokemon bandits are affecting our business. Can you help us Fawkes? If you do, I have the perfect gift for you."
Fawkes nodded, "Don't worry. I'll do what I can." The two shook hands and Fawkes turned, walking back towards the busy street. He spotted three shady men but paid them no attention. They were probably . . . woah. Wait. They were trying to take a kid's pokemon. They were doing a bad job of it too. Fawkes reached for his own pokeball and tossed it, Scyther came out. "Scyther. Go help." One of the three men reached for a pokeball and tossed it, a Mr. Mime appeared. Fawkes looked over Scyther's moves once more. "Let's start with an x-scissor.
Scyther seemed to truly wish to fight. He didn't even cry out as his claws began to glow a dull green shade. Scyther was fast, within two seconds he was in front of the Mr. Mime, his claws crossed over his chest. Mr. Mime was surprised as well and cried out as the attack landed. Scyther crouched, "Don't let up. Slash!" Counter with a psychic!" Mr. Mime's eyes began to glow blue and a strange blue force surrounded Scyther. "Scy?!?!" The man laughed and Mr. Mime tossed Scyther aside. Fawkes grit his teeth as Scyther hit the pavement hard. Scyther rose to his feet, but looked annoyed and rather peeved. He brought his claws up and something that Fawkes had never seen Scyther do happened. His claws started to gain a black hue. Night Slash. Scyther charged forwards and slashed at the Mr. Mime. The Mr. Mime was surprised, "Mime!" It grunted as it was attacked adn slammed into the ground. Mr. Mime was shaking slightly and rose to it's feet, glaring at Scyther. The man growled, "Mr. Mime. Use Psychic once more! Scyther. Night Slash. Take him out!" Scyther was too fast for Mr. Mime. By the time Mr. Mime started to perform his psychic attack, Scyther was already in front of him, his claws glowing black. He slashed at Mr. Mime and knocked out the pokemon. ".... mime..."
The man growled and stepped back. The second man stepped forwards, "Get him Graveler!" Fawkes tossed out Tirtouga's pokeball once more. Tirtouga looked a tad bit annoyed to be called out so soon but he sighed and prepared for battle. "Tirtouga. Start off with an Aqua Jet." The graveler spun into a ball and charged at Tirtouga. "Tir...", Tirtouga tucked in it's head and flippers right as water began to spiral around it's body. It shot towards Graveler with a veil of water surrounding it, "...TOUGA!" Tirtouga and Graveler slammed into one another, but it was no surprise when Tirtouga overtook Graveler and knocked back the large pokemon. Tirtouga seemed rather pleased with itself upon seeing that it took one hit to knock out Graveler.
The man growled and called back his Graveler. "Damn it... beaten by a damned kid." The third man stepped forwards. "I'll take you down. Go!" He tossed his pokeball and out came an Espeon. Woah. Fawkes had never seen one of those before. He smiled as the sun began to set on this beautiful day. Perfect. Fawkes tossed out his own Pokeball, and out came Eva. The little Eevee looked at Espeon with wonder. "Eevee?" Fawkes chuckled, "Not quite Eva. Shadow ball!" Eva crouched and charged forwards, she lept to the side of the Espeon to confuse it then used Shadow Ball. Espeon was faster though, it jumped over the attack and used psybeam. "Espeon!" Eva was surprised and struck by the attack. "Eevee!" She hit the floor and groaned as she forced herself up. Fawkes bit his lip, "It's ok Eva. I know you can do this. Use Shadow Ball!" Eva rose up and shot off another Shadow Ball but Espeon dodged once more. Espeon seemed to be mocking Eevee and charged forwards with a quick attack.
Espeon slammed into Eva and tossed her back. Eva lay on the ground and slowly rose. She tossed back her head and cried out. "Eeeeeeeeee-!" Her body burst into a blinding white glow and everyone stared. Fawkes, however, had a huge smirk on his face. "Umbreon. Do not give up. Attack!" The flash ended, but Eva was gone. "Where did that damn- no!" A black streak formed and suddenly, Espeon was staring at a black pokemon with golden rings. Umbreon smirked and released a shadow ball at point black range. Espeon cried out in pain and was tossed back. It hit the floor and Umbreon stood proud. Umbreon stood straight and glared at Espeon. "Umbreon. Quick attack then shadow ball." Umbreon jumped forwards and ran as fast as he could, Espeon watched in worry and tried to jump but Umbreon brought up her head, grabbed Espeon's tail and swung it, making it slam into the ground. Umbreon stood over the tired Espeon, a shadow ball forming. "Ok! I give!"
Umbreon stepped off of Espeon and walked back to Fawkes with a proud air around her. Fawkes crouched and gently pet his new pokemon. "Hey girl. Wow. You look beautiful." Umbreon seemed pleased by the praise. Fawkes looked at Umbreon's moves and thought momentarily. "Can you use psychic?" Umbreon nodded and turned to the three men, who were trying to sneak away quietly. Umbreon's eyes began to glow and the three men were lifted and held in place. Fawkes stepped forwards. "Tell me everything."
Within an hour, Fawkes got everything he needed. EnegCo and the theivery weren't connected. The theivery was just a bunch of goons selling pokemon on the black market, EnegCo was legit. Fawkes was disappointed to be honest, he was hoping for this to last a bit longer, for this whole thing to be a bit more... extravagant. Oh well. Fawkes taped the theives confession then took them straight to the police. Fawkes and Umbreon walked back to EngeCo and looked for James.
They saw him loomin' over a computer, and Fawkes walked up. "Hey." James looked up and smiled, "Thank you for that. Here's the gift I promised." He reached forwards. In front of the computer was a table with a single pokeball on it. The pokeball had about five different cords attached to it and contained a thunderbolt symbol on it. Fawkes rose an eyebrow. James chuckled, "Have you heard of the legendary dogs? Entei, Suicine and Raikou?" Fawkes nodded so James continued. "This egg contains an Elekid. You know how Elekid feeds on electricity correct?. Well, when this Elekid was born, a Raikou used Thunder closeby. This Elekid absorbed the Thunder attack and added it to it's own power. In other words, this Elekid is super charged. It can produce attacks so much more powerful. Here. Take a look at it's current moveset." James pulled it up. Thunderbolt. Thunder. Brick Break. Hammer Arm. Wild Charge. Wow. Impressive. Fawkes turned to James, "How long ago did it hatch?" James smiled, "About 3 hours ago. It's a fresh baby." Fawkes smiled, "Thank you."
James shrugged, "You seemed like a good trainer. Well, here you go." He reached forwards and grabbed the Elekid pokeball, then placed it in Fawkes' palm. Fawkes watched the pokeball vanish. Well... his team was full. He shook hands with James, thanked him and walked back towards the entrance to the city. Fawkes looked down at Umbreon, "Mission Complete." The two walked off towards Headquarters . . .
Mission Complete.
Mission Successful.

Drill Run
This one, well. Is more of a personal favor we'd like to ask of you. Have you heard about the underground areas of Sinnoh, or perhaps the cave systems out in Unova? If not, allow me to elaborate a bit. Sinnoh has a vast underground, covering most of the region. One can enter it by means of an exploration kit, most often acquired in Eterna City. There are other ways one can go in, but it might be better advised to just get the kit if you don't already have one. As for Unova's case system... we've heard many trainers there will sometimes find unusual things in the ground or walls. It might be weathered, softer than usual, what have you. Usually, people just find gems, but the rare stone has been unearthed before.
In any case, on to the request. Our HQ largely has supplimentary power by means of Electric Gems. By suppliment, I mean in the off chance that our main source of power was to ever run out. Anyway. These gems do get used up some, and while they have more power than that of a Thunderstone, it's offset by limitations of the smaller gem. Anyway, in order to keep things at the status quo for the HQ's power, we'd like it if you could go out to Sinnoh or Unova and get a few Thunderstones. They'll still help, and we'd appreciate it. If you're going to Unova, though, Electric Gems will certainly help too.
Objective:
---Go out to Sinnoh's underground or one of the caves in Unova. Note that you'll probably want an explorer's kit if going to Sinnoh, or you can just dig your way down. They shouldn't mind too much.
---Get some Thunderstones (Sinnoh or Unova) and/or Electric Gems (Unova only) so that we can keep up our stores of supplimentary power in the HQ.
Opposition:
---This varies greatly. You're bound to run into wild Pokemon no matter where you go, though you may also find the occasional group that'd rather have those stones/gems all to theirselves. It falls up to you, but you WILL end up having something in your way.
Pokemon:
---Feel free to catch or snag a Pokemon your rank will allow. If you decide not to, however, expect greater rewards.
Rewards:
---Evolutionary Stones, the kind depending entirely on just what you find. There is a max of two different types of stones, and the amount given will vary on mission performance as well as if a Pokemon was obtained or not.
---Stones available include: Dawn Stone, Dusk Stone, Fire Stone, Leaf Stone, Moon Stone, Shiny Stone, Thunderstone and Water Stone. Evolutionary hold items are NOT available in this mission.
Note: You may do this mission several items, whenever you might need another stone. However, don't simply copy and paste an older mission and try to pass it off as new. It won't pass.

Mission Start.
Fawkes yawned as he walked up to the entrance of Chargestone Cave. He had his bag slung over one shoulder and his other hand in his pocket. Fawkes considered what pokemon would help him the most in this mission and smiled as he realized who he needed. Fawkes reached for his belt and tossed the pokeball. "I don't know why i didn't think of you right off the bat." Elekid formed. "Ele!" Fawkes smiled and walked towards the cave, Elekid following behind its trainer. Fawkes looked down to see the little electric pokemon looking around in fear. A little to their left, a water drop fell from a stalactite and hit the floor. "ELEKID!" Fawkes couldn't help but laugh and gently pet his friend. "It's ok Elekid. I got you." Elekid looked up and smiled weakly at his trainer. The two moved through the cave and Elekid slowly calmed down. Eventually, Elekid was walking a little ahead of Fawkes, looking around curiously. Every once in a while, they'd hear the faint sound of a Joltik running away from them but nothing too huge. Fawkes stopped though when he heard a deep rumbling and heavy footsteps. Crap. He reached for the Pokeball containing his Croconaw when Elekid stepped forwards, poised for battle. "Kid!"
Fawkes was surprised and quickly thought about the pokemon who lived in here. Something that heavy had to be a Boldore. Elekid could take down a Boldore using Hammer Arm and Cross Chop. Ok. This was fine. Then the strange pokemon stepped out from behind a rock, looking angry. Fawkes had been correct. "BOLDORE!" Elekid braced himself. The Boldore began to create a strange ray of light. "Dodge. Then move in with a Hammer Arm!" Elekid jumped to the left right as the Power Gem attack hit the spot Elekid had been at. Elekid charged forwards, it's arm glowing a bright white. Elekid slammed his arm into Boldore and knocked back the rock pokemon. "Bol-!" It slammed into a rock and lay there for a moment before rising once more. "Sturdy. It's ability. Kid. Hammer Arm." Elekid charged once more, his speed was definitely better than that of teh Boldore. Elekid slammed his arm into Boldore and tossed the pokemon back, making him slam into the side of a boulder. Boldore groaned and took off running. Fawkes smiled down at Elekid. "Nicely done." Elekid blushed, "kid. Kid." Fawkes glanced over at the rock Boldore had slammed into. A faint blue glow was shimmering from it. Perfect.
He tossed out another pokeball and Scyther came out. Fawkes pointed at the rock. "Extract the gems. Be as careful as you can." Scyther nodded and slowly began to chip away at the boulder. Fawkes bit his lip nervously. This... was too easy. He didn't like it. Elekid was having fun, getting charged up more so than usual in this cave. Fawkes watched as Elekid found a Klink and followed the strange steel-pokemon with curiosity. It was funny to watch. Fawkes laughed and turned when Scyther came to his side. He looked at his watch. It had taken Scyther about 45 minutes to get the gems out. Wow. A lot better than he expected. Fawkes was uneasy as he placed about 20 gems into his bag. This was going way too smoothly. Sure, it wasn't supposed to be a truly difficult mission but this was too easy. Fawkes half expected a Gigalith or something to pop out, simply to make this more difficult. He started to move towards the entrance, Scyther safely in his pokeball and Elekid still having fun when a yellow web went past him and covered the entrance. Fawkes smiled.
This... was better. He turned and saw a single male standing before him. "Sorry, but i'll take your bag. Here, i'll even be nice and give you this instead." The man tossed a rock and Fawkes caught it. A moon stone? Wow. Exactly what he needed to evolve Nido into a Nidoking... after it evolved into Nidorino of course. He slid the moon stone into his pocket. "Sorry. But this is mine. Go get you're own." Fawkes turned to walk when two Joltik and a Galvantula jumped down from the ceiling. All three cried out and released a Thunder attack. Fawkes didn't move or even try to avoid it. Elekid jumped in the way and took on all three attacks. He smiled happily. "KID! Ele! Ele! Elekid!" Fawkes chuckled, "Thank you. Elekid was starting to get hungry."
Elekid landed on the ground and the three spiders circled him, growling. Fawkes reached to his belt and tossed out Scyther as well as Houndoom. "Scyther. Take the Galvantula. Houndoom, flamethrower." Both his pokemon cried out and jumped forwards. The two Joltik turned to Houndoom but scurried away when the fire got close to them. They both jumped on a boulder and used Electro Web. Houndoom released another flamethrower and incinerated the web, as well as one of the Joltik. It groaned in pain and remained still on the floor. THe second Joltik began to freak out and release discharge, attempting to hurt whatever it could. Houndoom growled as one bolt hit him and stepped back, growling loudly. "Houndoom!" Fawkes watched and called out, "Houndoom. Concentrate. Build a steady stream of flames in your mouth then start running, release the flames and allow them to engulf you. You charge straight forwards, the fire surrounding you and slam into that Joltik. Think of it as a tackle while you're on fire."
Houndoom nodded and tried it. The first time, he simply used flamethrower. "Don't let them use Flame Charge! Joltik. Thunder!" Joltik cried out as it released a thunder attack but once more, Elekid happily ate it all up. Houndoom tried a second time and seemed to get it, for the most part. He charged, the flames surrounding his body and slammed into the Joltik. Joltik hit the ground, knocked out and the fire faded. Houndoom slightly burnt himself. Fawkes smiled, "That move is called Flame Charge. Don't worry, we'll perfect it over time." Houndoom smiled and nodded. Fawkes turned his attention to Scyther, the Gravantula was already unconscious. Perfect. Fawkes turned back to the man. "Anything else?"
The man growled and grabbed a pokeball, "You'll pay for this...", he tossed the ball and out popped a Gigalith. Fawkes rose an eyebrow, "I think i'm psychic or something." He returned Scyther and Houndoom and looked at Elekid. "Wanna try?" Elekid looked at the rock pokemon with fear and awe then nodded. Fawkes smiled, "Let's start with a Thunder." Elekid smirked and electricity began to radiate from it's body. So much so that it made the Galvantula's Thunder look like a simple thundershock. Elekid cried out as he released the incredibly powerful attack and it all hit Gigalith. "GIGA!" The rock pokemon stumbled back and groaned in pain. "Hammer Arm. No! Earthquake!" Fawkes cursed under his breath as Gigalith slammed down it's massive body and caused a large tremor. Elekid fell and cried out in pain before growling and rising, charging forwards once more. "Power Gem! Don't let it get near you!" Fawkes noticed the panic in the man's voice. "Hook the hammer arm around Gigalith's arm then slam it down. Follow that with a Cross Chop." Gigalith readied itself for the attack. "G-Giga Impact!" Gigalith began to run forwards, "giga...giga...Giga...Giga...Gigagigagiga...GIGAGIGAGIGA" It slowly started to pick up pace and then a burst of energy surrounded it. "Just like we planned Elekid"
Elekid seemed to falter slightly but then charged forwards even faster. The two pokemon smashed into one another and a large cloud of dust covered up the outcome. Both trainers stared at the dust, neither blinking until ti cleared. Gigalith was standing. Elekid was down. Fawkes' heart sank, then Elekid groaned. "...kid." He slowly forced himself up. Fawkes smiled as Gigalith groaned, "Giga...", it fell forwards and hit the floor, 'lith." That was it. Elekid was worn out, badly injured, but he won. Fawkes smiled and returned Elekid to his pokeball. "Thank's buddy." He considered snagging the Gigalith but was pretty sure that was against the rules, for now. Oh well. Fawkes turned and walked out the cave entrance.

Apricorn Shortage
Did you know, that Pokeballs were originally crafted from special fruits known as Apricorns? That's right, before we had modern day Pokeballs people would take Apricorns, hollow out their insides, and a special device placed inside. This was the only method of creating Pokeballs some 400 to 700 years ago, that is until companies like Silph Co. perfected a method of mass production for Pokeballs thus rendering the method of making Apricorn Pokeballs obsolete. But, despite the ease of mechanically producing modern day Pokeballs there is one many who still lives by the old method and creates Apricorn Pokeballs, his name is Kurt, a Pokeball smith who lives in Azalea Town of Johto. Want some Apricorn Pokeballs? Then Kurt is the man to see.
There is one problem as of late though, you see, normally Kurt gets his Apricorns from his own personal farm behind his house but as of late his trees haven't been producing many Apricorns leaving him with far and few to make Apricorns with, plus he also sells them to the Pokeathlon Dome also in Johto to be turned into juice. Needless to say he doesn't have the apricorns to meet demands and is asking trainers to help him out, which he shall reward them with his specialty, Apricorn Pokeballs!
Your job is to venture across the Johto region where Apricorn Trees grow and seek out these trees. You are to then gather as many Apricorns as possible and take them to Kurt, remember he needs a good haul to build up his supply again. Once you succeed in this he will reward you with Apricorn Pokeballs depending on what type of Apricorns you bring him, try to only deliver a max of two types though. I wish you the best of luck in your Apricorn hunt!
Objective:
---Travel across Johto searching for Apricorn Trees to gather Apricorns from. Then take the Apricorns you gathered to Kurt so he may build his stock back up, you will be rewarded with Apricorn Pokeballs depending on what kind you bring him.
Opposition:
---Varies depending on where you find the Apricorn Trees. Wild Pokeball sometimes make nests in or around these trees so they may be prone to attacking you, Bug Pokemon are especially known for making the trees their homes.
---Also, a group of naturists are known to cause problems for Kurt too as they often prevent him from receiving his Apricorn deliveries and may even be the reason why his trees are producing so few. This group is known as Team Biome, these people live by the belief that humans should take nothing from its natural habitat, especially plants, which is their specialty, they use many Grass type Pokemon. They may try to get in your way, or maybe not, just exercise caution. They are also a largely female group.
---All opposition various on what you decide to come across, but know this, something -will- get in your way.
Pokemon:
---You may capture or snag one Pokemon available at your rank. If you choose not to your rewards will be greater.
Rewards:
---Apricorn Pokeballs, the type of Apricorn Pokeballs you are awarded depend on the Apricorns you delievered. There is a max of two type different types of Apricorns. The amount you are given depends on quality of mission and whether or not you capture/snag a Pokemon.

Mission Start.
Fawkes walked out of Kurt's home and looked around Azalea Town. He'd never been here before, it was really pretty. Fawkes tossed up his Pokeball and released Aerodactyl. "Aero!" Fawkes jumped on Aero's back and tried to remember where Kurt had told him to look. "To Ecruteak." Aero crouched and jumped up, flying towards the city. Fawkes spotted several bird pokemon flying, even a Togetic in the distance. He smiled and waved at the Togetic who waved back. Fawkes gently poked the left side of Aero's neck: their signal to speed up. Aero took off even faster and within a few more minutes. They landed in Ecruteak. Fawkes glanced around and pointed towards the route. "I'm pretty sure there are some over there." Aero nodded and they flew off once more. Fawkes pointed at the sight of a few apricorn trees. "There." Aero landed and Fawkes looked at his list which contained the apricorns and what they created. So... he wanted... Black Apricorns and Blue ones. Alright, that sounded good.
Fawkes walked towards one of the trees and reached up to pick a blue one when a voice called out from behind him. "Stop! Leave those alone!" He turned and spotted three females, all standing there wearing matching outfits. His eyes were immediately drawn to the center girl, a pretty brunette with golden eyes. It was she who spoke, "Don't touch those. They belong to nature." Fawkes smiled and held up his hand as Aero prepared to battle. "Yes. They do belong to Nature, but aren't we supposed to live with what mother earth has given us? Your clothing for example, what are they made up." The girl blushed, "c-cotton." Fawkes smiled, "I rest my case." He turned to gather the apricorns when a vine came out of nowhere and smacked his hand.
"Ahh! Damn it!" He turned and saw that the brunette had called out her pokemon. An ivysaur. Fawkes reached for a pokeball then stopped. They were just doing what they thought was right. "Look. I just need a few. Calm down. I will not cut down the entire forest." The ivysaur released another whip and Fawkes jumped to the side. "Listen to me damn it! I only need a few. I promise not to take too many." The girls remained quiet and frigid as Ivysaur continued to try and attack Fawkes. Aero looked angry, he didn't like to have to watch his trainer being hurt. "Fine! Aero. Show them what you can do."
The girl's all stepped back as Aero cried out, "AERODACTYL!", then released a flamethrower. Ivysaur jumped to the side but was still partially hit. The grass pokemon groaned and hit the floor. "Ivy! How dare you do that to my precious Ivy!" Fawkes smiled weakly, "Aero was just protecting me. As Ivy would protect you." The brunette looked down and shook slightly. She spoke quietly, "you have logic... I could forgive a moron." Fawkes shrugged, "I've always been a tad more insightful than others." The two girls who were with the brunette tossed their own pokeballs. Fawkes wasn't surprised to see a Chikorita and a Treecko. It seemed they specialized in Grass pokemon. He looked at Aero, "Fall back." Aero growled but nodded and stepped behind Fawkes, gently seating himself and watching. Fawkes grabbed a pokeball and tossed it, calling out his Sneasel. "Snea!" Sneasel saw the two grass pokemon and got ready to fight. "False Swipe." Sneasel was confused as to why he wasn't too actually defeat the pokemon but didn't complain. He vanished and reappeared in front of Treecko. "Tree-?" The Treecko flew back as the attack hit it and hit the ground, already weak with that single shot. Fawkes realized this group wasn't truly that powerful... which was ok with him. Chikorita used vine whip and managed to hit Sneasel's chest but the black ice pokemon was faster, he charged in and slashed at the Chikorita as well. "chika!"
Chikorita hit the floor and lay there. Neither Chikorita nor Treecko were knocked out, but both knew they'd lost. All three woman stared at Fawkes, expecting him to turn his pokemon on them. They were surprised when he simply turned around and started to pick the apricorns. The brunette tossed her sandal at him, "I TOLD YOU TO STOP!" Sneasel was suddenly behind her, growling. Fawkes looked over, "Sneasel. No!" Sneasel glared at the female but moved to stand next to Fawkes. Fawkes looked down at Sneasel, "help me out? Get blue and black ones please." Sneasel nodded and cast one more look at the females before going to pick the apricorns.
Fawkes turned to Aero who was now just relaxing. "You hungry, boy?" Aero nodded and Fawkes smiled before opening his bag and pulling out a tupperware. He opened it and tossed three pieces of raw steak at Aerodactyl who immediately snapped them up and happily devoured the meat. The girl's shuddered, "won't it eat you?" Fawkes laughed and shook his head, "Aero is very loyal. He wouldn't hurt me." Aero seemed insulted that they'd even think he would. Fawkes gently pet his pokemon's snout. Sneasel walked over holding a bunch of apricorns. Fawkes looked at the girls, but mainly at the brunette. "See? This is all I needed." He put them away and the Brunette stood. "One more time. Battle me one more time." Fawkes smiled and nodded. "To make this interesting...", he returned both Sneasel and Aero to their pokeballs and removes the rest on his belt. Fawkes placed them on the ground and mixed them up before looking at the Brunette. "You pick who I use." She pointed to the far right and Fawkes tossed it up. Umbreon came out. Fawkes smiled and returned the rest to his belt. "Alright. Show us what you got." The Brunette seemed a bit surprise at the pokemon but smiled and tossed a seperate pokeball. Leafeon burst out. Fawkes smiled, "Leafeon. How beautiful." Brunette smiled, "thank you. Now. Leafeon, Leaf Blade!" Leafeon charged at Eva then jumped, it's tail began to glow green. Fawkes smiled, "Dodge then move in with a Return attack!"
She smiled, "return? You think you're umbreon loves you that much? Well, then in that case, Leafeon use return!" Fawkes chuckled and the two Eevee evolutions charged at one another. They slammed into one another but the victor was clear. Umbreon came out on top. Umbreon sat besides the fainted Leafeon and licked it's paw. Fawkes held out his arms and Umbreon quickly bolted into her trainer's arms, mewing happily as he craddled her. Fawkes looked at the Brunette, "I won." She sighed and nodded before extending her hand. "Amber." Fawkes smiled and shook her hand, "Fawkes."
After a few more minutes, Fawkes had enough apricorns. He looked at Amber, who was obviously still annoyed but she was trying. Fawkes smiled and waved goodbye to the three females. He tossed out Aero and jumped on his back, flying back to Kurt . . .
Mission Complete.

“In our small town here, of Pallet, there has been a lone pokemon attacking trainers who have received their first pokemon from Professor Oak. The reason that the pokemon is doing this is...well...I don't know. The pokemon is a Bulbasaur, just...a regular Bulbasaur. I don't care what you do with the pokemon, just take it away so the new trainers aren't beaten when they leave for the first time on their journey. It's obvious that the Bulbasaur is stronger than the pokemon given to the new trainers by Professor Oak, giving it easy wins. Please, find a way to get the Bulbasaur to leave one way or another. Again I say, I don't care what you do with it, just take it away from our town.”
Now, this is what is stated on the poster. To make a long story short, there's a Bulbasaur that is attacking the new trainers of Pallet. The poster just wants you to get rid of it. You can do what you want with it, catch it, drive it away, or give it to someone. It doesn't matter to me, just complete the bounty.

Mission Start.
Fawkes walked into Pallet Town and looked around. He saw a small boy who seemed very upset, staring at a poster. Fawkes walked over. "Everything ok...?" The boy turned and studied Fawkes, "are you a trainer." At Fawkes' nod, the boy beamed and pointed at the poster. "This is your mission. Go complete it!" Fawkes was about to yell at the boy for tryin' to order him around when he looked at the poster. A Bulbasaur? Well... he didn't have any grass pokemon. He nodded, "Fine. In exchange though, gimme 5 potions and 5 pokeballs." The boy nodded. The two shook hands then Fawkes was off. It took a lot longer than Fawkes thought it would. After all, it was a rather small town. He looked around for a few hours and couldn't find the Bulbasaur. Finally, he spotted it, just laying under a tree. Fawkes sighed and slid his hands into his pockets then walked over. Bulbasaur looked at Fawkes and everything was quiet for several seconds before Fawkes spoke. "Hey. Why you hanging around here for? Why don't you go elsewhere?"
Bulbasaur simply stared at him. Fawkes stared back, then a vine came out... and SMACK! Bulbasaur hit him across the face. "You... son of a-!" The Bulbasaur lept back and crouched, ready for a battle. Fawkes growled and reached for the pokeball of his Houndoom. He'd love to take this Bulbasaur down a few pegs... but he was missing it. Huh? Fawkes looked... Aero's ball... and Nido's ball. Really? Where were? Oh yeah. He left the others behind to rest. Crap. Fawkes reached for Aero's ball then shook his head. "It's your turn lil guy~!" Fawkes tossed a ball and Nidoran burst out. "Nido. Nido!" Bulbasaur looked unimpressed. "Bulba. Bulba."
Fawkes pointed, "Nido poison sting!" Nido released a large torrent of poison barbs but Bulbasaur avoided them all. Bulbasaur charged forwards and slammed into Nidoran, tossing back the small pokemon. "Nido.", Nido shook himself off then charged forwards, "Horn Attack!" Nidoran moved faster as his horn began to glow and grew many times in size. Bulbasaur jumped to avoid the attack but underestimated Nido. Nido lept up and slammed into the Bulbasaur. Bulbasaur went flying back and slammed into a tree. "bulba...saur..." Fawkes smiled, "Let's finish this with a second Horn Attack!" Nido charged forwards but suddenly something happened, the bulb on Bulbasaur's back began to glow. Bulbasaur stood up and cried out, "bulba...SSSSAAAAUUUURRRR!" He released a powerful solarbeam.
Nido freaked and jumped aside to avoid the blast but it still hit him. Nido slammed into the ground and shook for a while before rising once more, his breathing rough. "Nido... nido..." Then it began to glow, a bright white light. Fawkes smiled, it was about time. Nidoran slowly began to grow then the light faded and Nidorino was standing there. 'NIDORINO!" Fawkes pointed, "Nidorino. Show him what you could do." Bulbasaur seemed insulted, "erm... her?" Bulbasaur nodded and charged towards Nidorino. The two ran right at each other and slammed against one another. However, within a few seconds, the victor became obvious. Bulbasaur fell over fainted. Fawkes smiled and drew his pokeball. "Go!" He tossed the ball and bulbasaur got sucked in. The ball shook a few times then stopped. Bulbasaur was captured! Fawkes smiled and picked up his ball before petting Nidorino. "Good job buddy. Now, time for a rest." He returned his poison pokemon then walked back to John's house. Fawkes called out, "Hey~! I believe you owe me something." John came out, looking suspicious until he saw the ball. "So you caught it? Wow. Well, here ya go. As we promised." He held out a bag. Fawkes took the bag and smiled, "Thanks. See ya." He waved then headed back to HQ. He wasn't until he was about half-way there when he looked in the bag, his eyebrow twitching. It was filled with rocks and a piece of paper on top that read one word and one word only.

Disclaimer: Written while in a headache-induced daze. Take with caution.
This is purely out of curiosity, but have any of you ever seen a Legendary Pokemon in its natural environment?
I didn't think so. A close personal friend is compiling a photo book, and he's asked me if anyone can get him some specific images.
The catch is, I'm caught under paperwork in Snagem at the moment. As a result, you get to help my friend. I'll make it worth your while if you can bring me back at least one photo of a Pokemon of your choice from the following list.
Take a picture of Cresselia, Heatran, Celebi, Manaphy, Zapdos, Moltres, or Articuno in the Pokemon's natural environment. The camera (which is expensive) has been provided to us by my friend, and it can hold up to 100 high-quality images. Be careful not to break it.
Also, do not engage the Legendaries in any form of combat, EXCEPT if they decide to attack you. If that happens, you are permitted to try and slow them down while escaping, but under no means are you allowed to attack them first. This is also extremely important: Do not capture the legendaries, no matter what. This is a purely investigative mission.
That said, expect there to be some other trainers looking for them for battling reasons, as well as wild Pokemon in the habitats themselves. Good luck.
Objective:
Travel to the natural environment of at least one of the listed Legendary Pokemon, take at least one clear photograph of it in its natural state, and bring the camera back to HQ, undamaged.
Opposition:
Naturally-occurring Pokemon in the environments. You may encounter random trainers who are also seeking the Legendaries.
Pokemon:
You may capture one Pokemon available at your rank from the environments, or you may snag one Pokemon available at your rank from the trainers.

Mission Start.
Fawkes decided to go after Celebi, it interested him the most out of all of them. He picked up the camera and then left. Upon stepping outside, Fawkes tossed up his pokeball and out burst Aerodactyl. "To Ilex Forest buddy." Aero nodded and took off once Fawkes was on his back. They flew in silence for several minutes, Fawkes studying the pokemon they were going to try to photograph. "According to this, Celebi is a time-traveller pokemon. It's very playful and childish in nature as well. Hmmm this doesn't sound like it'll be too difficult. We just have to be kind to it." He turned off his SNAG machine then looked down. "Dive Aero. We're right above Ilex Forest." Aero cried out and dove, landing on a branch. Fawkes jumped off his friend's back and gently landed on the ground. "Thanks Aero. Return." He returned Aero to his pokeball then put the camera around his neck. Fawkes started to walk through the forest. He spotted a few random trainers, but they were all obviously beginner-ish trainers trying to train their pokemon. One or two challenged him to a battle but as soon as he released Aero, they forfeited.
How... amusing. Fawkes sighed and ventured deeper and deeper into the forest. He glanced up at the sound of a cry and looked around. There. It appeared to be a Pichu. What was a Pichu doing in this forest??? She cried out again and finally, Fawkes realized why. Four Ariados were slowly making their way towards her. No! He cursed and tossed a pokeball as high as he could. "ICE BEAM!" Sneasel burst out of the ball and released a powerful ice Beam, successfully freezing one of the Ariados. He was about to use it once more when the Pichu cried out and released a powerful Thunder. "Pi...CHU!" The thunder hit the three remaining Ariados as well as Sneasel. "SNEA!!!!"
Fawkes tossed up another pokeball and Aero burst out, caught the falling Sneasel then flew back down. Fawkes tended to Sneasel's wounds before glancing up. The Pichu was gone... strange. Fawkes was mainly just glad it was safe and sighed, turning to walk deeper into the forest.
After several more hours of walking, they came across a strange shrine. "What the...?" He remembered that Celebi's data mentioned something about a shrine and looked once more. The shrine was created for Celebi. Hmmm. . . interesting. Fawkes snapped a few pictures and was about to step closer when a voice called out to him. "H-hold it right there young man!" Fawkes turned to see an older gentleman making his way over. Fawkes smiled politely. "Hello sir. Is everything ok?" The man looked Fawkes over, "don't touch that shrine, boy. It belongs to the time-traveler pokemon. Leave it be." Fawkes understood, this was sacred ground to them. "Alright."
The man was obviously surprised by Fawkes' immediate agreement, "erm... good, i guess." Fawkes chuckled and turned, walking over to a nearby tree. The man watched as Fawkes tossed out a pokeball and Scyther popped out. Fawkes sat down and pulled out the Metal Coat given to them by the old Scizor in Mt. Silver. He proceeded to rub some on Scyther, as he did every day. The old man watched for several minutes then Scyther began to glow. Fawkes grinned as Scyther grew and evolved into Scizor. "Scizor." Fawkes smiled, "Thank god. We just ran out of the metal coat."
Scizor stood next to Fawkes and the two just relaxed. The old man still simply stared. Fawkes turned to the old man, "We aren't going to go near the shrine. You said to stay away, right?" The old man coughed and nodded. "Just didn't expect such a quick answer. I thought you'd want to fight me. Fight? Do you have any pokemon old-timer? Of course I do! Come on. I'll take on your Scizor." Fawkes chuckled and Scizor stepped forwards. The man tossed a pokeball and out came Munchlax. "Munch. Munch. Munch."
Fawkes smiled, "That thing must eat you out of house and home. It certainly tries. Munchie, Tackle." Fawkes smiled, "Let's see your new speed. Dodge then move in with a Metal Claw." Scizor cried out and seemed to vanish, which was a surprise. Both trainers were surprised but then Scizor appeared besides the confused Munchlax, his claw a clear gray color as he brought it down on Munchie's head. The munchlax cried out and fell back, sitting on it's bottom. The old man moved forwards, "Munchie! m... mu... MUNCH!" The Munchlax began to cry. Scizor and Fawkes were totally confused. The old man returned the weeping pokemon to it's pokeball and sighed. "He's still just a child. Didn't expect you to go all out." Fawkes and Scizor exchanged a look that clearly stated they didn't go all out. The man waved, turned and left. Ummm.... ok?
Fawkes tossed out his pokeball and Bulbasaur appeared. "Bulba." Fawkes approached the grass-pokemon and crouched. "Hey. I'm Fawkes and this is Scizor." Scizor nodded and Bulbasaur stared at them before moving away. Fawkes watched as the lil grass-pokemon walked a few feet then turned, facing Scizor. Bulbasaur growled and stomped it's lil foot. A battle? Fawkes smiled and nodded, "Scizor. Aerial Ace!" Once more, Scizor vanished from sight. Bulbasaur released Razor Leaf in random directions then Scizor reappeared, growling. "Sci!" Fawkes chuckled, Bulbasaur was rather good. Bulbasaur released a seed, Leech Seed but Scizor avoided it then charged forwards once more. Bulbasaur grimaced as the Aerial Ace attack hit and flew back, slamming into a tree. "bulb...a" Bulbasaur rose and growled, "Bulbaaaaaa." Her bulb began to glow as she used synthesis. Bulbasaur smirked when she was fully healed and charged again. Fawkes was about to call out a command when a burst of flame came out of nowhere and stopped the battle. What? He turned and was surprised by what - or rather who - he saw. Alu. His older brother. "You're supposed to be in jail... I broke out. Come on little brother. We never finished our battle." Scizor and Bulbasaur both prepared for battle but Fawkes stepped forwards, "No. Both of you, back down. I already know who i'm using." Both pokemon seemed disappointed but didn't argue. "Knowing you... that pathetic Houndour and your Totodile? I'm surprised you got a Scizor, did it take pity on you?" Scizor growled but Fawkes held up his hand. "Scizor, he isn't worth our anger. Come on out guys." He tossed out his pokeballs and out popped Houndoom and Umbreon.
Alu laughed, "Ahh! The mutt evolved. Well, no matter. I got new pokemon. Better ones. Let's go!" A black Charizard stepped forwards and roared. That explained the flamethrower a moment ago. Although, the next pokemon who stepped out was unexpected. A Snorlax. What the...? Alu followed his gaze, "I found this glutton on some alley and captured him. He isn't as useless as he looks."
SNORLAX!" Houndoom saw Alu and roared out in pain and anger, his fur stood on end, his fangs were bared. He obviously wanted to tear this man's throat. Houndoom began to form a flamethrower and released the blast but Charizard smacked it away using it's tail. The Charizard roared and glared at Houndoom. "I'm surprised you got them to be loyal to you. You'd be surprised by what you can get out of a pokemon if you give it some PlusPower.", Fawkes' eyes widened. "Do you know what that does? It'll destroy your pokemon!" Alu shrugged, "Then i'll get new ones."
Fawkes ground his teeth, "You sicken me. Umbreon. Psychic on that Snorlax. Houndoom, let's move in with Quick Attack then go with a Dark Pulse." Both his pokemon cried out and did as they were told. Umbreon's eyes began to glow blue and Snorlax was surprised as he rose up a few feet, but he was obviously to heavy for he dropped soon after. Snorlax laughed and charged at Umbreon. "Break it's bones. Flatten the damn rat." Umbreon growled in annoyance and jumped to the side to avoid the attack. Snorlax kept trying to stomp on Eva but she was too fast. She ran up Snorlax's back and used Dark Pulse at close-range. Snorlax growled and slammed into the ground. It stuggled to get up for a few moments then rose. Fawkes smirked, "What ya think? Lucky Shot. Hyper Beam!" Fawkes' face paled, "No! That'll destroy the forest!" Alu obviously didn't care as Snorlax began to prepare the attack. "Quick Attack. Aim at it's jaw." Eva took off in a rapid run and Snorlax tried to aim. By the time he got a lock, Eva already jumped and slammed into Snorlax's jaw, making the large pokemon step back and close it's mouth as the Hyper Beam was set off. A small explosion occured and when it cleared, Snorlax was groaning. It was still up though. Fawkes had to admit, Snorlax was persistent. His type of pokemon. Should he...? Fawkes smirked, oh yeah. Alu saw the smirk, "Don't think you've won just yet. Snorlax, Giga Impact!" Snorlax began to run at Eva, "snor...snor...snor...Snor...Snor...Snor...snorsnorsnor...SNORSNORSNOR!" A strange purple light formed around the Snorlax as it charged, "Eva... back up... a lil more... a lil more." Eva was confident her trainer had her best interest at heart so she didn't hesitate to move back. Then she saw the plan, behind her was an enormous boulder. "Dodge!" Eva simply dove to the left and watched as Snorlax slammed into the boulder. Fawkes' eyes widened as Snorlax broke the enormous boulder. The enormous pokemon turned and stared at Eva, "snor... lax..." It fell forwards, fainted.
Fawkes smirked and tossed a ball. "Idiot. Snorlax is mine. It won-... what?" The ball shook a few times then stopped. The ball returned to Fawkes' hand and vanished. "As you were saying? Houndoom!" Alu turned his attention, both Houndoom and the black Charizard were breathing roughly, growling at each other. "Charizard. Why have you not taken care of him yet? It's a weak dog. Use Inferno and end this." Fawkes gave Houndoom a curious look. "Can you use Inferno?" Houndoom shrugged and watched as Charizard released what appeared to be Flamethrower, only much, much larger. "No time like the present to find out. Houndoom, Inferno!" Houndoom tried the new attack and managed two flamethrowers before creating the massive attack known as Inferno.
The two blasts clashed and pushed against each other. First, Houndoom was slowly sliding back then Charizard was pushed back. The clash lasted for several seconds before Houndoom's flames broke through and completely consumed the black dragon-like pokemon. Charizard cried out in pain and then fell forwards, fainted. Alu stared at Houndoom with anger and amusement. "Look at how strong i've made you." Houndoom shook his head then trotted over to Fawkes, placing his head against his trainer's hand. Fawkes happily pet Houndoom, "I beat you Alu. You are nothing. Leave." Alu smirked and walked off without another fuss. Fawkes returned Houndoom and released Scizor once more. It took the group (Fawkes, Scizor & Umbreon) nearly an hr to put out the small fires. Once done, they sat by a tree to catch their breath. That's when Fawkes heard it. "Cel." No way. He peeked out from behind the tree and sure enough, Celebi was flying around, an apple in it's small hands. Fawkes snapped a few shots of Celebi eating the apple before the pokemon turned and spotted him. "Celebi?" Fawkes stepped out and smiled weakly. "Hi. I mean no harm to you." Celebi glared and then it's eyes began to glow blue. Fawkes was lifted from the ground and yelped. Umbreon and Scizor stepped forwards and growled. "No. Come on guys. You should know the drill by now. Celebi doesn't know we don't want to hurt it." Surprised by Fawkes decision not to attack, Celebi released the Psychic attack and went back to eating the apple. Fawkes snapped a few more pictures Celebi turned back and stared at Fawkes, "What are you doing?"
This astounded Fawkes, "erm... taking pictures." Celebi dropped the half-eaten apple and approached before touching the camera and staring at it, "What a strange device." Fawkes smiled weakly, "Well, you are an incredible pokemon. I am not going to try to fight you or anything, but can I take some pictures?" Celebi seemed to think it over then nodded, "if you insist." This... was definitely inaccurate compared to what the SNAG machine said. This Celebi seemed very mature, not childish whatsoever. Umbreon began to wag her tail and Celebi watched as in a trance before smiling brightly and jumping on Umbreon. "How do you do that????" Fawkes laughed, there was the childish curiousity. "Look over here." Fawkes caught a picture of Celebi riding Umbreon.
For a while, they took pictures. Pictures of Celebi playing with Aero, of Celebi floating all serious like next to Scizor, both with their arms/claws crossed over their chests. Fawkes had to stifle a laugh at that one. Celebi grabbed the camera to take a picture and accidentally clicked the button so he also got a close up of Celebi's face with a huge grin on it's face. All in all, this was fine. After a while though, the roll was done. Fawkes grimaced and pulled out his personal camera, snapping a few photo's. His favorite by far though was the one of his current pokemon team: Houndoom, Umbreon, Scizor, Bulbasaur and Aerodactyl, himself and Celebi.
Celebi seemed to be having fun as well. After several more hours of goofing off, it was time for Celebi to go. It waved and vanished in a simple blinding flash. Fawkes stared at the picture in his hand, the one of Celebi trying to get the camera and chuckled. He'd keep this one. He set the rest in a small parcel and headed back home. This... was a good day.

Tier Advancement Mission #3
Wow, you are certainly rising through the ranks aren't you? You've already made it to the last rank in Tier 4! I bet you can't wait to step into Tier 3 huh? Of course you can't, that's why you are here reading this mission because you are just itching to advance. Well then, I guess I should stop rambling on already and hurry up and present you with your mission, huh?
As you may remember from your last two Tier Advancement Missions you had to deal with the wannabes known as Team Ninja, a rather annoying bunch aren't they? Well I hate to be the bearer of bad news but they are causing trouble again, but this time it seems they got a little help. As you know Team Ninja is composed of mainly young men with a ninja fetish going around acting like they are somebody important, so really not much of a threat just an annoyance. Well recently they've joined forces with a shady group composed of former students of the Fighting Dojo Master in Saffron City. These guys, unlike Team Ninja, are highly trained and serious martial artists. Why are they former students you ask? Because they took up the sword and turned against their master, but lost. The banished students joined up with Team Ninja as sell swords, and as a result the new alliance was dubbed Team Samurai.
Now, this new Team Samurai apparently has only one goal, obey whoever can pay the most money, essentially they are now mercenaries that tend to prefer to take up shady jobs, which brings me to your mission. Team Samurai has been hired by an eccentric Pokemon collector who has trusted them with the task of retrieving for him the scale of an extremely rare Dragonite that is said to visit the Whirl Islands once every ten years. What makes this Dragonite so special? Why, it's shiny, and the collector wants its scale more than anything.
Now this doesn't seem like too much of a big deal but the reason why this Dragonite visits the Whirl Islands is to lay a single egg, that's right, the Dragonite makes its nest in the Whirl Islands. Dragonite are also known to be extremely protective of their young though and if anyone were to approach the Pokemon while nesting it would surely attack them, but the problem is this Dragonite is extremely old, and while Dragon Pokemon are known to live a long time, this one already has, I am unsure it would be able to protect its self and its egg.
That is why I want you to go to the Whirl Islands and stop Team Samurai from disturbing the shiny Dragonite's nest. Do anything you can to prevent them from even reaching the nest, which is located deep within the caves. Be warned though that Team Samurai will also stop at nothing to succeed in their own mission and will use any type of trick to stop you, even if it means damaging the environment around you, also you must remember they now have highly trained martial artists on their side, proceed with caution.
Objective:
---Go to the Whirl Islands and protect the shiny Dragonite's nest so it may hatch its egg in peace. Do not let Team Samurai disturb it. Should the Dragonite be angered it could endanger its self and its egg due to its increased age. Send Team Samurai back where they came from.
Opposition:
---Team Samurai, you will cross a minimum of four members, each carries at least three Pokemon on them at all times which their Pokemon now consist of ninja-like and samurai-like Pokemon along with Poison/Bug Types, all fully evolved (Examples include, Shiftry, Ninjask, Gallade, Scizor, Accelgor, etc).
---Their leader remains Takashi, the red scarf wearing ninja teenager, his Pokemon however seem to have gotten even stronger, his team consists of, Dustox, Wheezing, Shedinja, Samurott. You most likely will encounter him, I hear he too has learned martial arts and how to weild a sword.
Pokemon:
---You may catch one wild Pokemon in the Whirl Islands which consist of various Water Pokemon and the Zubat line.
---Or you may snag one Pokemon from one of the Team Samurai members, you may not snag from Takashi.
---You may not capture the Dragonite, you are trying to protect it so it may live the rest of its days peacefully, remember?

---Advancement to Tier 3, as an Alpha Snagger.

Mission Start.
To say that Fawkes was excited was a definite understatement. He was getting another chance to rise the ranks. How wonderful! Fawkes released a pent up sigh as he decided it was time to go into ‘serious-mode’. He pulled up the message from Sub once more, re-reading it to see if there had been anything he’d missed. After looking it over, he was sure he knew his mission. Go to Whirl Islands and defeat Team Samurai, do not allow them to bother the Shiny Dragonite and its offspring. He understood the mission and knew he could do it.
Before anything, Fawkes went to the PC and looked at his team. They had fighting-types as well as any ‘ninja’-related Pokémon (Koffing, Zubat, Nincada, etc.) so he’d have his team counter that. He withdrew the team that he felt would do the best there. Riolu, Meinfoo, Croconaw, Eva and of course, Aero. He had considered bringing Kalevra or Nido but decided against it. Fawkes walked out of the base, stretching his legs before tossing up the pokeball that contained Aero. The mighty flying-reptile came out and roared loudly before looking at Fawkes. “To Whirl Islands.” Aero nodded and crouched, allowing the trainer to climb on. When Fawkes was situated comfortably, Aero took off like a jet – heading directly to the islands. Along the way, Fawkes was trying to figure out how he could possibly stop them. He could beat the old members of Team Ninja no problem… but these expert fighters… they would be a problem.
Fawkes shrugged, deciding he’d figure that out later and enjoyed the sights as Aero took him to Whirl Islands. Upon his arrival, Fawkes returned Aero and called out Croconaw and Eva. “Baby girl, please use psychic. I want you to let me know if you send anyone approaching.” Eva nodded and the trio made there way into the cave. Almost immediately, they were confronted. Not by a member of Team Samurai though, but by a random Golbat that decided it wanted to fight. Fawkes smirked, “Croconaw! Ice Beam!” Croconaw grunted and charged, releasing the blast of ice at the Golbat. It flew over the ice beam however and flew towards Croconaw, snapping it’s fangs over and over again. It was trying to use bite.
Croconaw lept out of the way and released another ice beam, determined to defeat this flying-rodent. The Golbat cried out as it was hit by the ice beam then flew away, not wanting to battle anymore. Fawkes grinned and they continued their journey deeper and deeper into the caves. At one point, Eva simply stopped and stared into a dark cavern. She seemed both confused and curious as to the going-ons inside that cavern. “What is it Eva? Are we being attacked?” Eva shook her head and took off, running into the cavern. This was odd behavior for the Umbreon so Fawkes and Croconaw took off after her. The cave was pitch black so they simply ran forwards until they saw a light in the distance. When Fawkes came out of the cave, he was stunned by what he saw. He was standing on a small ledge, overlooking a beautiful waterfall. Eva was sitting there, not interested in the water but in what was going on below. Fawkes looked down and nearly gasped… it was Dragonite. The green-dragon Pokémon was preparing a nest on a rock in the center of the lake the waterfall poured into. It seemed so happy and content that Fawkes didn’t wish to disturb the mighty beast. He remained quiet, watching as Dragonite continued to do its work. After a few minutes, Fawkes picked up Eva and turned – walking into the dark cavern once more.
The group journeyed throughout the caves for several more minutes, but they didn’t see any members of Team Samurai. Perhaps Fawkes arrived early? It didn’t matter though, he returned to the dark cavern and had Croconaw use ice beam, sealing it so that Team samurai couldn’t get to the Dragonite through there.
Fawkes, along with his Pokémon, continued to look for Team Samurai. All of a sudden, Eva jumped and used shadow ball at a random corner. A Shiftry emerged, weakened but not finished by the attack. Behind the Shiftry, a young man dressed in just white pants and a black belt emerged. “You could tell where we were. Nicely done, young man. Let us battle.” Fawkes didn’t reply, merely gave out commands. “Move in with a Quick Attack then use Shadow ball.” The man laughed, “pursuit.” Shiftry seemed to simply fade into the dark before reappearing on Eva’s left and striking the Umbreon. It wasn’t too effective, but it was definitely annoying. “Damn. Attract.” Eva jumped up and did a sort of half-spin before winking at the Shiftry. Small pink hearts surrounded the tree-like Pokémon and then entered it. Shiftry didn’t move for several seconds. The trainer laughed, “we are trained in the ways of martial arts. This will not affe-… Shift~!” The Shiftry was all giggly and happy now. It began to move towards Eva, who beamed proudly. Then when Shiftry was close, she used Psychic to finish it off. The Shiftry fell over, fainted, but not without a big grin on its face. The trainer growled and tossed out two pokeballs, a Hitmonlee and a Hitmonchan. Fawkes tossed one pokeball, Mienfoo. Eva would continue to fight. Hitmonlee ran towards Mienfoo and swung with a ThunderPunch but Mienfoo’s detect allowed him to dodge. Mienfoo then used Low Kick, knocking the Hitmonchan down. Mienfoo smirked and laughed as the angered Hitmonchan rose. Hitmonchan charged, readying another ThunderPunch but Mienfoo jumped. High. Fawkes grinned, “looks like you learned a new move.” Hitmonchan was confused, that is until Mienfoo came back down and slammed the Hitmonchan into the ground – rendering it unconscious. “We now know Bounce. Good job.” Mienfoo grinned before he began to glow… even Hitmonlee and Eva stopped fighting, watching as Mienfoo grew into a Mienshao. Hitmonlee was still staring at Mienshao when Eva used Shadow Ball, knocking back the leg-Pokémon. “Hey! That’s not fair!” Fawkes shook his head, “you’re Pokémon was distracted. Not Eva’s fault. Use Psychic.” Eva’s eyes began to glow a deep shade of blue and Hitmonlee began to rise from the air. Hitmonlee tried to free itself but it was no use. Eva had it now. Eva tossed the Hitmonlee against the wall then used two Shadow Balls. The two Shadow Balls hit perfectly, making Eva turn her back. She began to walk back to Fawkes when Hitmonlee’s leg came out of nowhere and hit her. Eva cried out and hit the ground, rising shakily. “Eva!”
She growled and looked at the Hitmonlee, who was breathing roughly. Hitmonlee swung its leg at Eva but she jumped over and used another Shadow Ball. The attack hit the Hitmonlee but it still wouldn’t fall. Crazy durability. “We will not fall so easily, foolish boy.” Fawkes ignored the words and instead called out, “Eva! Faint Attack.” Eva charged at the Hitmonlee, looking like it was going to attack head on. Hitmonlee tried to kick Eva again and it appeared to hit, but the leg went right through Eva… an afterimage. Eva was behind Hitmonlee and slammed into it. The fighting Pokémon cried out as it fell forwards – knocked out. Fawkes grinned, “where are you people hiding?” The man cursed and called back his Pokémon before running back from where he came. “Get back here!” Fawkes, Eva and Mienshao ran after the man. It was no use though, he disappeared. Fawkes had Eva use Psychic, to see if she could find anyone. She began to walk and he followed. At first, Fawkes thought she was lost, there were so many twists and turns, zigs and zags… then they came into an opening. They entered to find a cavern with no other entrance. Unlike the beauty the last one possessed, this one was barren aside from about 5 tents in the far corner. They had found the base…
Fawkes pressed himself against the wall, trying to decide on what the next course of action one. Before he had a chance to truly think though Mienshao grabbed him and pulled him back. Where he had been standing, a large slash mark appeared. Fawkes turned to the source – a Gallade and boy did it look pist. Two more Gallade stepped from behind it along with a woman dressed in a rather revealing and tight sports bra and shorts… Fawkes found it hard to stop staring. This didn’t please the three Gallade who all charged him simultaneously. “Whoa!” Fawkes ducked under one’s swinging arm but didn’t manage to avoid the second. Fawkes grunted as he hit the cavern wall but before the Gallade could get him, one of his pokeballs opened and Croconaw made his appearance. Croconaw, Eva, and Mienshao were glaring at the Gallade, anger clear in their gaze. The female laughed, “you want to take me on with those three? Aright then, Psycho Cut!” All three Gallade released the psychic slash but none hit their mark. Mienshao jumped high into the air, attempting another bounce. While the Gallade was distracted looking up, Croconaw used Crunch, biting down on its arm-blade. The Gallade cried out in pain and tried to toss off Croconaw. “Croc.” Croconaw released the arm and jumped back with a smirk. The Gallade growled and stepped forwards but then Mienshao landed on it, knocking it out. Two super effective attacks in row? No way that Gallade could continue to fight. “Hey no fair! Your Pokémon are ganging up one just one of mine!” Fawkes shook his head, “Eva isn’t and she is fairing wonderfully.” He wasn’t lying. The Gallade was using Psycho Cut after Psycho Cut but Eva was jumping from boulder to boulder, avoiding the attacks like nothing. She jumped over the Gallade, using three Shadow Ball’s at close range. Gallade grunted and fell to his knees but he wasn’t down for the count. Eva landed on a boulder and used Quick Attack, slamming into the Gallade. It fell on its back and slowly began to rise, panting roughly. Gallade glared at Eva and used another Psycho Cut. Eva giggled and jumped over this one as well, releasing a third Shadow Ball. It hit the Gallade and knocked it out. Then, there was one. The final Gallade didn’t seem to lose its cool completely, although it was nervous. Mienshao stepped forwards to fight it. “Alright. Croconaw. Eva. Return.” Both Pokémon nodded and returned to their trainer’s side. Mienshao charged at the Gallade, who used Psycho Cut once more. This one hit it’s mark and Mienshao cried out in pain as he hit the floor. Mienshao forced itself up and glared at Gallade before running once more, Mienshao smacked Gallade’s chest using his arm fur and while the Pokémon was confused used Bounce. “Not going to work again!” Gallade used Psycho Cut straight up. Gallade smirked and turned to Fawkes, beckoning the trainer to call out his next Pokémon. Fawkes simply pointed up and when Gallade looked up, Mienshao landed on it – knocking it out. “No way! H-how?! My Gallade used Psycho Cut!” Fawkes nodded, “yeah but Mienfoo had used Detect before the Bounce so he was able to avoid your attacks. I won.” The girl fell to her knees, glaring at Fawkes but she didn’t move. Fawkes returned everyone to their respective pokeballs and walked past her, towards the tents. When he walked out two more trainers approached him. He recognized one of the trainers from their encounter in Mt. Silver but the second was a new one. They both tossed pokeballs without speaking and out emerged two Scizor. Fawkes tossed two pokeballs, Aero and Riolu both burst out. “Aero. Flamethrower. Riolu. Quick Attack.” Aero cried out and released a Flamethrower, consuming the steel-bug Pokémon. Riolu charged at the second Scizor but was swatted away like a bug. When the flames cleared, although severely-weakened, Scizor was standing. “Bullet Punch.” The Scizor vanished and reappeared in front of Aero, using multiple punches that were simply to fast to follow. Aero cried out and took to the skies, glaring at his foe. “DragonBreath!” “Endure.” The purple flames consumed the Scizor once more but when they cleared, it was shakily standing. What was the point? It could barely move. “Slash. Both of you.” Both Scizor’s charged, the one aiming at Aero evidently slower. Riolu dodged the attack and used Force Palm, knocking back the Scizor while Aero simply used another DragonBreath, knocking out his foe. The trainer didn’t even seem phased though and recalled Scizor. “Go.” A Crobat emerged and it took to the skies. An appropriate battle. Riolu and the Scizor continued their battle, one would land a hit then the other then one would miss then the other would as well. It was a game of give-and-take and it was unclear as too who was winning. Then the finishing stroke was taken. Scizor fell forwards, out and Riolu was breathing roughly – glaring at the trainer. “Hmmm. Go.” A Weezing emerged and it released smog to cover the place. Then Crobat slammed into the ground, electricity randomly covering it. Aero had finished it with a ThunderFang. “Dewott!”
Ooooh. A Dewott? Fawkes already considered it snagged. He smirked and cried out, “Aero! Use your wings to get rid of the smog!” Aero did just that, but when the smog cleared Riolu was knocked out. Fawkes returned the small Pokémon to its ball and tossed out Croconaw. Weezing used Sludge Bomb which made Aero cry out in pain, but it didn’t knock out the reptilian Pokémon. Aero merely seemed to grow angry at the attack. Aero charged and used Flamethrower, causing the Weezing to cry out in pain. Weezing then charged at Aero and used Self-Destruct. This…was a surprise. Aero cried out and slammed into the ground. Fawkes was stunned, no one had ever beaten Aero before… until now.
Croconaw and the Dewott hadn’t moved since the battle had started, both attempting to stare each other down. When the explosion occurred, Croconaw turned, surprised to see that Aero had been beaten. Dewott smirked and saw it’s chance. It charged, drawing its scalchops as the gap between itself and Croconaw closed. “Dew! Dewott!” By the time Croconaw turned, Dewott had attacked. “Croc!” Croconaw grunted and was forced to take a step back but didn’t fall. Croconaw used Water Gun, forcing Dewott back then used it once more, aiming at the ground. The force of the water caused Croconaw to ascend over the Dewott and land behind it. Croconaw used Water Gun once more, hitting the surprised Dewott and knocking it back. “Dew!” Dewott grunted in disapproval and charged again, using Razor Shell. Croconaw cried out as the attack hit but otherwise didn’t react. It was a water-move after all, and therefore not too effective. Croconaw jumped at the Dewott, ready to use a Crunch attack but Dewott smirked and smacked Croconaw with its tail. At this time, Croconaw did what he knew best. He bit. Hard. Right on the tail. “DEWOTT!” The Dewott cried out in pain and proceeded to smack at Croconaw, begging for its tail to be released. Croconaw planted both feet firmly on the ground and tossed its head, resulting in Dewott to go flying. As Dewott was in the air, Croconaw used Ice Beam on the falling samurai. Dewott cried out and slammed into the ground, done with the fight. Fawkes tossed a pokeball and Dewott was pulled in… the ball shook once… twice… three times… then PING! “Snag successful.” Fawkes looked up but the two trainers were gone… how weird.
“Nicely done Fawkes. Although, it seems your main powerhouse is out.” Fawkes turned, seeing Takashi standing along four Pokémon: a Dustox, Shedinja, Weezing and a Samurott. This... will be tricky. Normally, Fawkes would use Aero on the Samurott. He dug into his bag, relieved to find he still had a few revives. Fawkes grabbed it but before he could pull it out, he felt a fist connect with his stomach. Fawkes grunted in pain, dropping the revive back into the bag before falling to his knees, grabbing his stomach. Fawkes began to cough, finding it hard to breath. Takashi chuckled, “not so strong now. Get up, boy.” Fawkes rose to his feet and once more went to get the revive, this time though he didn’t feel a fist hit him. He felt a blade sink into his side and Fawkes cried out. Eva hissed in anger and charged at Takashi but she was blocked by his Weezing. Still fueled by rage, Eva unleashed the most powerful Psychic attack she could muster – all of it ended to end the Weezing.
Weezing cried out in pain and fell, down for the count. Eva continued to move forwards when she was struck by a X-Scissor by the Samurott. Eva cried out as she hit the rock floor, slow to get up. Sure, she had a high defense but the X-Scissor was a bug-move and therefore super effective against the small dark-Pokémon. “Eva… don’t worry about me. Take on the Dustox. Mienshao go for the Shedinja and Croconaw… take out that Samurott.” His Pokémon nodded and charged, Fawkes was grabbing his side – panting and trying to stop the bleeding. It wasn’t serious, but it hurt like hell. He removed his jacket and tore the sleeve, intending to use it to stop the bleeding. He didn’t get a chance though, Takashi had sliced that in half. “Sorry boy. I am going to make you suffer.” Fawkes cursed and began to take a few steps back, his breathing hard and labored. This really hurt… Fawkes swung at Takashi but the man just laughed and cut his arm, leaving a gash along his forearm. Fawkes cried out in pain and brought his arm to his body, shaking as he glared at the man. “I am going to win...”
Takashi laughed, “you obviously can’t see Fawkes. I have the upper hand.” Fawkes smirked and looked past Takashi. The leader turned and saw a revive on the floor. He rose an eyebrow and then a pokeball flew past his head. It hit the ground next to the revive and the large weakened-Aero emerged. Aero cried out weakly, it was too weak to fight then he saw the revive. Aero quickly ate the strange object and raised his head, crying out in anger. Sure, Aero wasn’t fully restored but he was enough to take on anyone here. While Takashi was focused on the massive beast, Fawkes tied his arm and side with pieces of his jacket – successfully stopping the bleeding. He turned to see the battles and it seemed that Fawkes would win this. Eva had taken out Dustox and was currently cleaning herself. Although Mienshao was having a slightly harder time, it had managed to defeat the Dustox without being too wounded. Fawkes turned to see how Croconaw was doing and was surprised to see that Croconaw had fainted. “Aero! Take out that Samurott.” Aero cried out and charged, releasing a Flamethrower. “Hydro Cannon!” The Samurott released the most powerful torrent of water Fawkes had ever seen but Aero twisted under it and used DragonBreath, hitting the Samurott dead in the chest. Samurott rose to release another attack but couldn’t, it had to recharge. Aero saw his chance and moved in, biting with a ThunderFang. Samurott cried out and drew it’s swords, slashing at Aero. After several seconds, Aero released the samurai-pokemon and flew up, looking down at it. Samurott was glaring at Aero, “Use Brine!” Fawkes knew that Aero couldn’t stand the attack. “Move in and use ThunderFang!” Aero dove and bit into Samurott once more, releasing currents of electricity all throughout it. However, the water slammed down on Aero and then Aero let go…
Aero hit the ground, breathing roughly. Samurott was still standing, staring down at Aero until it grunted and fell – both had been knocked out. Takashi cursed and went to grab another pokeball when he realized he had lost… that was it. Mienshao and Eva were standing by Fawkes, growling at Takashi. Fawkes had to lean against the wall to keep from falling over but he was still smirking. “I won…”
Takashi cursed and returned his pokemon. “Damn you…”, he dropped a smoke ball and disappeared…
Fawkes looked towards the cave where Dragonite was. “Mission Successful.”
With that, he fell over… exhaustion had taken his body…
