It always surprised him how much warmer he felt when he was this near to Lieven. It was a sharp contrast to how cold he'd been before he met him. Cold of heart, cold to the touch. It never once occured to him that someone like Lieven, so much the perfect target, the perfect prey, could slide under his skin and invade his whole being. But now that it had happened, now that he was...in love...he wouldn't trade it for anything. "Well, generally, once given a gift, the giftee chooses what to do with the gift," he said and smirked. "Being the gifted, I suppose what I'm trying to say is that today we'll do what you want to do. All day." That was a rare offer from the normally self-centered vampire. Usually he only wanted to do things that would interest him, now he wanted to give Lieven a chance to do the same.

Lieven blushed deeply as Cebrien gave the offer of a lifetime. A day where all they would do is what Lieven wanted to do. It was a gift that Lieven would've never expected, wouldn't have even assumed when Cebrien had called himself a gift to Lieven. His green eyes were wide with surprise, but he smiled, looking so excited. A day out, maybe to the beach, or an amusement park. Eat lunch at a fancy restaurant instead of Lili's own cooking, and then go to a circus, or watch a movie with popcorn together, have a picnic, and sit around a fire roasting smores or just toasting marshmallows and chestnuts under the stars. Then Lieven would take out his new book, and open to the first tale, and recite the words far into the night, until the arms of Morpheus took them and wrapped them up. It was a dream. And that's how it stayed.
Lieven felt his smile fade as he realized the cost of such a glorious day. There was no way the poor child could afford it himself, and be damned if he would take Cebrien's money to splurge on a day out. It was one of the rare moments where Lieven thought of himself, and though perhaps there was no wrong in it, he felt shame as he looked down a bit, his perfect day evaporating in his thoughts and getting filed back away in his mind.
Fidgetting lightly, the pink haired boy looked up shyly, uncomfortable now, with deciding what to do. Moments of self-doubt fluttered in his heart. What if Cebrien didn't like his choices? The last thing Lieven ever wanted to do was upset his beloved.. But he knew so little about the man's interests outside the house.. All he knew was that the vampire liked being read to. He swallowed uneasily, and shifted in Cebrien's lap, murmuring quietly, hesitantly. "Maybe we could.. go to the park?.. I could take my bookes with me heh.. We can read on a bench.. feed the pigeons the stale bread in the kitchen.." He looked down a little, scared for Cebrien's reaction, feeling ashamed that he didn't know more about his lover, and uncomfortable that perhaps he would be making the vampire do things he didn't like.

He smiled at the surprise in his eyes, chuckled softly at the excited smile on his face. It was almost too easy to read the thoughts it his head, all the things he wanted to do. And then his smiles faded, and Cebrien frowned, confused. What could possibly be wrong? He wanted to treat his boyfriend to a day where the vampire would sit through every little thing Lili's little heart could possibly desire to do! And yet the pink haired boy sat in Cebrien's lap fidgeting and looking shy. What was this?
He heard the hesitation in Lieven's voice and sighed a little as he listened. The park? Pigeons? What? "No," he said, red eyes looking away from Lili and pretending to inspect his sleeves. He hated that Lieven felt the need to lie to him about what he wanted to do. "That's not good enough," he said. It would be just like the vampire to offer a gift with no strings until he added them once the deal was struck. Only this time, instead of meeting his own desires, he was attempting to get Lieven to stop lying and tell him what he really wanted to do, without saying it in as many words. "Try again, Lili~" he murmured near his ear and kissed his temple.

Lieven winced as Cebrien sighed and immediately rejected, closing his eyes to try and shut out the tears forming behind his eyelashes. The rejection in his self-conscious state hurt more than he had hoped it would, and he swallowed hard, looking up with sad, watery eyes as he told him the reason why he had declined the offer. He swallowed again and fidgetted, nervous still, and feeling bad that he couldn't satisfy his love, nor knew what he could do to help the situation. He took a deep breath and leaned toward the voice in his ear, and then toward the lips against his temple. He was given another change, another try.. but what could Lieven offer that he could afford? Not only that, but please his vampiric lover that he knew so little about. Sniffling a bit, he decided the truth was better than making the man before him wait.
"I don't know .." He whispered, almost beneath his breath, he tucked a piece of pink hair behind his ear and then rubbed his beautiful green orbs, blinking away some tears. "I'm afraid I'll come up with something Cebrien won't like.." He murmured, looking up so pathetically, yet so sweetly. Afraid of displeasing his lover, a fear that most would look down upon as the significant other being too controlling. In Lili's case, it was simply his own submissive nature and love of making Cebrien happy that kept him scared. Teary green eyes looked into the vampire's eyes, not afraid of what's to come, but unsure, and uneasy because of it.

Cebrien very nearly flinched when Lieven winced, but he didn't. His hard won control had never failed him, and despite the maelstrom of emotion roiling through him at this moment any outsider would think him cold. But Cebrien was about to find out his control was not limitless, nor would it stand up to the tears of his lover. His chest tightened near to the point of pain as Lieven whispered and looked up at him with those eyes, shining with tears he was trying not to shed.
At first Cebrien stayed still; his response to almost anything he wasn't ready for. And he certainly wasn't ready for this. He'd expected his comments would startle the truth from Lieven, not make him respond like this. Not with...tears. "Lieven..." he started, then stopped again. This was entirely a new territory for the vampire and he didn't know how to proceed. His first reaction was to get angry, but he restrained himself. He didn't want to further upset his lover. Yet another thing he didn't understand. How could Lieven have come to mean so much more than just food to him?
"Lieven," he tried again. "This is not about me," he said, and it was the first time such words had passed his lips. "This is about you. I am not ready to believe that you would be content with just a day in the park with your books." He was starting to get upset and it showed in his tone, but he paused to compose himself again before he continued. He spoke quietly, looking at the book he'd given Lieven instead of at the pink haired boy. "Before you suggested the park, there was something you wanted. Don't bother denying it, I could see it in your face. There were things you wanted to do that I wager had nothing to do with the park, or...pigeons. Tell me what you want, Lieven," he said, nothing short of the commands he was used to giving his lover. And then he surprised himself, and he was sure, Lieven.
"Please."

Lieven felt his uneasiness build as Cebrien said his name, and failed to react more than that, at least outwardly. The young one had become accustomed to Cebrien's shocked response being nothing, but also knew the temper that hid beneath the vampire's pale skin and suave voice. His fear grew, and tears kept threatening to spill over his waterline, making him reach up and try to brush them away with his small hands. Cebrien was restraining himself, holding back for Lili. He felt a small lump develop in his throat, and hiccups starting to develop as he trembled with his futile attempts to contain his emotions. It hurt so much, the idea that Cebrien would get mad at him, or be upset with him. Perhaps it was just how Lili was, but part of it came from the deeper love he had for the vampire, no matter how twisted or wrong others saw it.
He looked up and swallowed a hiccup as Cebrien tried again to convey his emotions, and his eyes widened as he spoke calmly, and truthfully. He trembled and swallowed again, more tears building up in his eyes, but not in fear or disappointment, but in joy, and love. The love that swirled in emerald green eyes shining with translucent tears made its way into the rest of his body as he trembled and shook, and a smile so glad and joyful slid across his pink lips. He sniffled lightly, and rubbed his eyes, barely able to really believe that Cebrien wanted it to be all about him this round, all about Lili.. He looked up, and tears fell faster, but winced when Cebrien told him he had recognized his pitiful suggestion was a mere cover up for his first dream. He hated when he was read so easily, even if it was by his love. The command itself made him whine, and he hesitated.
But eyes widened as Cebrien said the one word Lieven had never heard before. Cebrien was making a request. He said 'please'. Wide eyes gazed at him, shocked, almost confused, and almost unbelieving, but quickly the expression melted into joy and love, happiness, even if he'd have to tell the truth of his desires that he thought were selfish. How could he deny the first request his lover ever made to him? "O-Okay.." He stuttered, rubbing his eyes to try and clear away the tears and calm his body. "I.. I thought.. we could take a trip.. to the beach.. or an amusement park.. and then we could.. eat lunch at a fancy restaurant, instead of you bearing with my cooking." He murmured, still shy, being quiet from fear that his dream was too extravagant. "I thought about.. a movie night.. or maybe a circus.. and then we'd.. have a picnic under the stars together.. a-and roast smores and marshmallows over an open fire.." Looking up, his soft green eyes found those oh so familiar red ones, and he found the courage to move on with the gaze, the eye contact, and the love he found deep in those bloody irises. "Then we'd read together.. like we always do.. until sleep and dreams carried us both away.." He whispered, blushing deeply and averting his eyes now, suddenly shy and unsure of himself. Hoping to any god listening that his dream wouldn't stay a dream.

As he watched Lili fight with his emotions, his chest tightened. It was not a feeling he enjoyed, and it confused him further. He'd never felt something like this before and he wondered perhaps if something was wrong with him.
But then, as Lieven looked up at him and he could see the emotion changing his eyes from fear to love, Cebrien felt that tightness in his chest loosen. And suddenly he knew what it was. What had brought these changes out in him, what had prompted him to buy the book for Lieven. The thing that made him want to please Lieven. The thing that made Lieven's tears move him to more than just mild annoyance.
He loved this boy with the pink hair and startling green eyes. Loved him. And suddenly knew it with a certainty he'd never felt before. He flushed a little when Lieven got that shocked look on his face, then it was replaced by love and happiness. He smirked a little as Lili began to tell him about the day he wanted to have. "Hmm..." he began when his lover finished. "That sounds like it would be a fun day. Shall we get started?" he asked and grinned, the smile a genuine one and not one of the wicked ones he was usually giving him.
