I never have really wanted one.
I'm fine with my CD player and computer for listening to music.

You can suffice with a CD player alone. Yes, it may be somewhat bulky, but it'll play the songs you want for you. I'm just too lazy to buy CDs.
Then again, not everyone needs to carry 20 GB of music wherever they go. An iPod is basically a hard drive! To think that many teenagers are carrying hard drives with them is mind boggling.
An iPod Shuffle or an iPod Nano would probably do for those who want to carry about a hundred or so songs with them.

Yes, it can be hard to get away with in school, but if you're sneaky enough you can easily get away with it.
On the other hand, if you're going to be somewhere for a long period of time, I guess an iPod would be a good thing so you don't have tons of CD's to carry around.

I like iPods 'cause you can carry them around with you wherever you go. I'm really busy, so I can keep it with me while I'm traveling to places, 'n stuff.
Though why I wanted an iPod over other mP3 players I don't know.

The regular iPod videos are much more bulkier than the iPod nano or shuffle. Those are extremely lightweight.

That's true. Though my 60 GB one isn't that bad, really.

I think a CD player weighs a lot more in comparison to any iPod.

It probably does. But you would have a radio in addition to its CD-playing function.

And also, you can borrow CDs from soneone else and play them. You can't just take songs right off the iPod to listen on other iPods.

Ah yes, that's what I'd hate about iPods. I borrow so many CDs from friends that it's not even funny.

Well, yes that's true. That's what I generally do if my parents won't take me somewhere to get one. >.O
