===Journal Entry 1===
Got this empty book from a shopkeeper here in the city - said it would be good for keeping track of things in; wouldn't let me turn her down. Might as well try it out, I suppose. No point in letting it go to waste, that wouldn't be right. Finding weaponsmiths in this place hasn't been easy, but I got a map from some shopkeeper yesterday, it's been a lot of help.
That reminds me, I need to bring it back by. Maybe give back the feather he stuck in there; it's a nice feather and I'm pretty sure he wouldn't want to part with it. It's really bright red though, can't say I know what kind of bird it comes from. I don't pay much attention to those kinds of things.
Not really sure what the man sells at that shop either; I didn't stick around long enough to find out. He seemed awfully friendly though...not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Could be either, maybe even both. People just aren't easy to understand. I sure hope that whatever he wants out of this is going to be something I can pay him, I don't want to be in debt to anyone, least of all some stranger from the city.
Hope he doesn't think I stole that feather or something, I don't need any trouble...
