My suggestion is (i dont know if anyone said this i didnt read all the pages in this thread Dx) that there could be an exchange sub-forum in this thread that we use to keep the inflation down between everyone in the guild =3

I'm opposed to the idea of buying inflated items to sell at lower price, especially at the vend. Why, because there are AI supporters as well as normal, indifferent vendors with lots of pure who are ready to snatch them off the vend the moment they appear. To me it's the same as throwing gold away.
I'm thinking more of something like a Quester's Shop, a shop in the exchange where people can buy stuffs for cheaper, or probably with a pre-agreed price (like say, if you finish this in 1 month we'll give you for 2/3 the going market price). It should be well-publicised (especially in forums like Chatterbox, Welcome to Gaia, Exchange, maybe even on the paid ad spot) so that people know they have an alternative to inflated items. And when people know they have an alternative, hopefully they won't rush to buy inflated items, which in turn can help hinder AI attempts.
But to have that we need to have:
- a steady pool of sellers of highly demanded items (a joint art shop can be used to fund this)
- a good system to check the worthiness of applicants
- cooperation from people to bump the shop and advertise in other forums (banners are crucial)

If we could get a list of people known in the Exchange, and TELL THEM what our goal is--not force them to comply or anything--and just let them know that we're trying to create a more pleasant environment, something that they'd appreciate, it would help out a lot. They wouldn't throw offers at our prices or anything, and it could help them out with whatever they might be questing for.
I've seen some bad-a** Exchangers complaining about inflation in the past few weeks, so while they might not necessarily be "on our side", they'd rather not have items inflate than if they did.
