"Wow, normally the guy pays for everything. I should randomly meet you in the street more." He chuckled feeling slightly out of place having her bought this for him.
As he watched her face frown up he wondered if she didn't like them. Some of the intel he was able to get said that their monsters but those are just civilians that never meet a real monster. And anyone who seen them never said much as if they didn't understand what they saw.
"They were the same way like that when the portal was first made." he said with a slight air of annoyance, not at her but the stupidity of people. "I am trying to obtain one but I have yet to see any requirements or who this scientist is exactly."

A woman stood in line at the tram station while in the City of Aerr, no older than twenty-six. She needed to get away from everything, give herself time to relax from the days experiences. She seemed quite uneasy about it though, impatient and annoyed at the circumstances surrounding the trip there.
She tapped her foot as she stood, waiting. Finally, the line moved a tad, not much but one step closer to Nuan. She rubbed her forehead as she thought about what had happened. Another story to cover for the newspaper. But this time she needed to go all the way to Nuan for it. What was there? A rumor, that was it. An undercover reporter being sent away from the city in which she lived for a rumor. Her boss was such a p***k at times, and this was just one of those times.
Finally, the line began to dissipate and people were going their separate ways while waiting for the tram to arrive. Just one ticket and then she could be one of those people. It was her turn. She smiled at the woman as she neared the window. "One ticket to Nuan, please." she said, getting into her little pouch for the necessary funds needed to pay.
The woman behind the window grabbed a piece of golden parchment and a black stamp, stamped the paper with it and slid it under the glass. "Thank you very much." she said as she opened the little pouch and placed the ticket inside.
As she walked away, something amazing caught her eye. What was it you may ask? It was a celebrity! Svetlanna Petrova, her favorite opera singer. The woman's heart sunk to the ground as she saw her standing there, talking with an ordinary man. She hadn't recognized him from anything spectacular, so she knew that he mustn't be famous, but it was still a sight to see Svetlanna, or at least what she thought was her.
She looked at the empty space where the tram should have been, but wasn't yet. That meant she had time. Time to speak to an idol of hers ever since Svetlanna had become famous. She just had to speak with her, but she was surprised that others weren't gathered around in awe. Maybe they just didn't like the musical arts, or didn't recognize her, but she knew that it had to be her. She had followed her career for quite some time. This would make for a great story in the news. Maybe a segment entitled, "Svetlanna Petrova Hits the Town". Oh, names were such a pain to think of, but that was this woman's first thought.
She approached the couple quietly, smiling and acting as though she had no idea who the woman was. As she passed Svetlanna, she gave her a glance and then that was the realization. She knew it was her. "Oh my...Y-you are Svetlanna!" she said covering her own mouth and having a look of utter surprise.
"Oh please, may I get an autograph? I'm Rosalie. Rosalie Black. It is such a pleasure to meet you. I've followed your career ever since you made it big. You're such an inspiration to me." she said smiling, grabbing out a pen and a piece of paper for her to use. "And who might you be, sir? Miss Petrova's body guard? Or maybe a fan as well?" she said, smiling.

Jonas stood beside Svetlanna silently as he waited for her to reply. She seemed so innocent standing their but her whole posture and way she spoke and acted. Seemed...damaged. He knew that stress was part of the work but this was something deeper.
As he suddenly heard the "Oh my" he locked up silently in surprise fighitng the natural response to grab the noise. Something he taught himself in his younger days. As he was suddenly hit was questions he gave her a warm smile back.
"My name is Jonas Valentine, madam." He said bowing slightly to her. "I guess you could say that I'm a part time guard, full time fan." He said as he looked her over. A dream of a redhead if he say so himself. He had a wistful thought of if he was younger again but that didn't matter to him. "May I ask your name madam?"

Rosalie gave a soft chuckle at the elderly man. "Are you hard of hearing? My name is Rosalie. It's quite nice to meet you too, Mr. Valentine." she said with a hand held out for him to grab. Giving her a bow was something she hadn't even expected. She wasn't treated the best anywhere she went, whether it be to work, or even randomly throughout the streets. She wasn't the most beautiful woman so she didn't get deep stares or even smiles. It was as if she didn't exist. She felt that sometimes that was for the better however.
She looked at Svetlanna and smiled. "So, are the two of you headed to Nuan or Korr? Or have you just arrived at the city? I'm actually going to be headed to Nuan as soon as the tram arrives." a hint of sadness was within her voice as she spoke along with a drawn out sigh at the end of her sentence. It was obvious that she didn't feel like leaving the town, but it was requested of her, and that was always important. She couldn't lose this job, never.

"No, I was captivated by your beauty." He said giving her the same smile. "A fitting name." he said watching her surprise to his bow. "Sorry if I'm old fashion. I believe chivalry still exist. Your probably use to more modern guys taking notice of your beauty." He said, something he learned after all these years dealing with women.

"Nor have I, but if the one responsible for such creations were to just simply post up requirements of how to obtain one, he would surely be found out, persecuted and possibly killed even. I prefer he keep in hiding for now until more people come to be more understanding on the matter. Not just for his safety but the safety of his creations as well."
She looked away from Jonas for a moment and to the space where the tram would be. Still nothing. A low contemplative sigh left her as she slowly began to slip into her own thoughts of such a mysterious phenomenon. She too was interested in obtaining one and perhaps by caring for it, bring some meaning to what she perceived to a worthless existence. Yet, would she be seen as good enough to their creator? Doubtful. If she wasn't good enough to find love why would she be good enough to become the guardian of such a magnificent creature? Her thoughts then slipped back to darker times, memories that she had pushed back to the darkest recesses of her mind. Memories that she wished to stop remembering but cursed never to forget.
A tear had come close to falling down her cheek but when a voice filled with excitement made itself known she was able to blink it away and return to reality. She turned to acknowledge the young woman and gave her an appreciative nod. It was because of people like her and Jonas, that she was able to get as far as she did. They showed her the support she so desperately craved for. With poise and grace she took the pen and paper as requested and wrote a little message before signing it with her autograph.
Rosalie Black, I would like to thank you for all the support that you have given me. It is because of fans like you that I have been able to walk the road of success with pride. It is an honor to be seen as an inspiration and I only hope that I can continue to make you proud.
-Svetlanna Petrova
With the same amount of poise and grace that she accepted the pen and paper, she returned it.
"It is indeed a pleasure to meet you as well Ms. Black."
Svetlanna went silent for the time that Rosalie directed her attention to Jonas and her gaze once again returned to where the tram should have been. She was becoming a bit anxious now. Already to people recognized her and while the occurrences were pleasant, she could only pray that more wouldn't recognize her for fear of being enveloped by the feeling of being suffocated and overwhelmed.
Again Rosalie directed a question to her pulling her from her thoughts once again she she turned to acknowledge her once more.
"Nuan, I have a performance there later tonight."

Rosalie's lips pursed a tad when taking back the pen and note. After reading it, she couldn't believe that she had just talked to Svetlanna. She folded it nicely and placed both of the objects back into her bag. It was such an experience already, and she was actually rather excited to be going to Nuan now.
"Oh please, the pleasure is all mine, Ms. Petrova." she said, grabbing the necklace which dangled down and playing with it a tad.
Rosalie was now more interested to go to Nuan for the performance of a lifetime, rather than for her actual job. She needed a break, and maybe this was the perfect opportunity for one. Plus, she needed to ask others what they knew about this man for the paper. Apparently the King heard rumors of something going on in Nuan, thus sent the paper for the information. She was a worker for the paper, and so she was sent. What a boring trip. Of course now that she knew Svetlanna was going to be there performing, she would gladly go as long as she could get a ticket.
Suddenly she blushed, hearing the voice of the elderly man telling her of her beauty. She hadn't gotten that much in her lifetime and was shocked by what he had said. Either he was some horny man just needing some love, or he was genuinely looking at her and thinking she was beautiful. She turned to him and said, "W-well thank you, sir." before turning most of her attention back to the idol of her dreams.
"I hope to see you perform tonight than. I have to go there for business, but I'd love to take some time and see you. Your voice is beautiful." she said, smiling.
Suddenly the earth around began to shake, allowing the people to know that the tram was close by. The people were now picking up their bags and getting ready for the trams arrival. It came to a screeching halt and then the doors were opened for those people going to the different towns to board.
"Oh, there's the tram now." she said, grabbing her purse to pull out the ticket in which she had just bought. It was time to get this little adventure under way.

Finally hearing a reply back form Svetlanna Jonas understood what she meant. It made since though, people were scared of what they didn't understand. Especially since that one incident with that creature before he joined the guards.
"True, but sooner or later he will be found out. If he just "giving" them away then someone is going to take notice that non-humans that have a constant design keep showing up." he said as he scratched the back of his head. If he trained this being up and sent it to the guards was he really signing it's death warrant? No, if he taught it all that he knew they would want more and since he taught it they would want him to teach them. He'd get reinstated and then...then he be back where he should be right now. In the guards making a difference. Although he may carry convictions for doing this it didn't matter. His deep thoughts were immediately interrupted after seeing Svetlanna eyes seem to water.
As he observed the two women talk he didn't say anything. Jonas was more interested that everyone was taking at notice of the two and he decided to play the bodyguard by standing between them and the crowd. His mind was in different places when he heard Rosalie speak. "Just telling you the truth. Your husband is one lucky man." he said the same gentle smile on his face. A girl like this had to be married.
The shaking of the ground caused him to look toward the train as it came closer. He still held the ticket that Svetlanna had given him. A memory came to him of how the train track was still being made when he was just a kid and had to walk to get to this town after his parents died. "Yes, let me talk to the steward." As he got close to the steward he whispered in his ear for a private area and slipped him some money.
"Seems they have a open cabin that we can use. Would you like to join us Rosalie? I'm mean if that's fine with Svetlanna." The smile on his face was still calm and collected, this was still an amazing day, he meet a beautiful girl and his favorite opera singer. What's next? The Hraapea guy just going to happen to be on board.

The loud roar of the tram finally pulling into the station was the best sound that she had heard all day. Not because she was in any really big hurry to get where she needed to be even though that was a small factor, but also she had begun to grow worried that something might have happened. The second best thing she had heard was when Jonas informed them that there was an open cabin for them. Simply wonderful.
"Oh, I don't mind if Ms. Black joins us. The more the merrier and well we could all keep each other company and if Ms. Black would like she could do a little interview to add something to her assignment."
Satisfied with how things were turning out, she ventured onto the tram and back to the cabin the three of them would share. The moment she was inside, she took a seat right next to the window. Why was a perfectly good question seeing as she wouldn't see anything but underground tunnel walls.

Rosalie nodded. "Oh, that would be wonderful." she stated as she walked upon the tram, following behind Svetlanna. The three of them would share a cabin and Rosalie could get some interviews done in the meantime.
She smiled as she walked aboard, sitting across from her idol as she took out a piece of paper and a pencil. Now she was fully ready to take on whatever possible in order to get a good story.
"Well, now that we're all here. I would like to take you up on that offer, Svetlanna. I am going to Nuan for my job. I have to investigate a rumor to write about for next weeks paper. My main question would be this. 'Have either of you heard a rumor of a mad scientist using the powers of science to create children?'" she started. She was happy to be interviewing the one person whom she admired the most. Svetlanna was the single most important idol in her mind and she was talking with her, interviewing her even. She wasn't going to ignore the man completely, but she found that what Svetlanna had to say would be much more interesting for the paper than a random stranger no one knew.

Jonas only gave a nod as he heard what Svetlanna had to say. Maybe what he saw before was just him being over questioning again.
As he followed the two woman to the cabin he sat down calmly beside Svetlanna with a amused smile at seeing her sit by the window. Didn't she know they were going to be seeing brick the whole way?
At hearing Rosalie speak he figured she was going to pay attenction to the opera singer. He was just some washed guard that was now a weapons smith that didn't make any "master" swords. Hearing her questions his brow furrowed.
"Yes, I'm actually trying to track one down for...a performance test." He said trying not to seem weird. All he knew from rumors where that they were creatures that could take a beating. Supposedly even take on a Snapper hound. Something that would take several guards to even hold a chance.
"What rumors have you heard?" He questioned forgetting this was Svetlanna's interview.

"I too have heard rumors of a scientist using alchemy to create children but I myself am not sure if this rumor truly holds any validity. If it is in fact true, I wonder why on earth people treat his break through like it's something horrible."
She went silent, eagerly waiting for Rosalie to answer Jonas question. She was very interested in the woman's take view on the rumor and her view on the beings birthed from the scientists ambition and alchemy.

It was amazing that they had heard of it. Of course, her take on the rumor was different, for she had been corrupted by the royals, living in the palace and all.
"You do know that the government finds these creatures to be illegal, yes? They would want to get their hands on any and all creatures this man creates just to execute them. I've only heard what those within government have said. They are quite unsure of how to go about taking care of this issue, so that is what I am here for. I'm the guinea pig in this whole operation. They thought that a reporter could go, figure out what's going on, and then report it back to them and make it seem as though it was just a story to cover. But in reality if I am to find out anything and report back to them, they would probably have the mans head on a platter. I really hate having to be stuck in between. But I was told I would be paid an immense amount of money if I was successful in finding the man or proving the rumor to be untrue." she said. She looked at Svetlanna, who had a good point. Why would the government be after someone who made an immense break through in science. Not even she could answer that fully without looking idiotic.
She told what she knew, and then fell silent. What would she find out in Nuan? Hopefully she could just stay a few days there, live in the inn with all expenses paid and just go back saying the rumor was a lie started by someone who wanted to become famous or some sort. She was not good at making those types of things up, for she wasn't a liar. The best she could do is prove it wrong by any means and then be on her way back to Aerr where she lived.

"Figures that the royal guard would act so brash and be so ignorant not to see the blessing this man has possibly brought to the world. Just think of the countless couples who have tried to create a family but have been unable to do so. He could give these people a chance at having a family. Who are they to deny someone or something the right to life?"
Svetlanna's brows were furrowed in sheer disgust. Sometimes she found herself loathing the personnel that the government consisted of and found herself hating the royal family just as much for they allowed and nurtured such ignorant views. Taking a deep breath she shook her head free of such thoughts. She refused to let her mind to be clouded by negativity especially since the cause of such negative thoughts most certainly weren't going to lose any sleep from the ordeal.
"If the rumor does hold some truth, I pray that this scientist manages to keep his location a secret. I don't want him to be hunted down and killed because of his stroke of brilliance."
