Nadia giggled, but not to loudly as to embarrass the other filly. "Good job, you're getting hang of it. And if something comes out next time, you should always expect it, and be ready to hold your ground." Living the life of a knight, unexpected things would always happen.
Nadia went on to show Zoey some other things of the knightly kind, still playing the game. She was enjoying the filly's company. And time started to slip by. The suns position had changed, and Nadia was now telling Zoey about how doing this game helps mentally for the real training that would come when she was a little older. And that was were Nadia was right now.

Zoey was mortified. She was normally far more graceful than that, thanks to her maman's training. Silently she vowed to make sure that such a thing would never happen again. She gave a barely discernable shudder. More practice that she couldn't get out of. Wouldn't maman be pleased.
Color flooded her face, darkening the skin of her face markings quite noticeably. "This won't happen again." She murmured softly. She lifted her head proudly and stated in a stronger voice." Such a thing has never happened to me before. Be assured, it won't happen again. It won't."
Zoey caught on to the game, and was quite content to train and to learn. Maybe one day she could be a lady-knight-healer. That would be just too neat. And even her maman couldn't disapprove, since she would devote herself, somewhat, to the study of herbs and healing which she was so determined to press upon her.
Time had passed, and Zoey paid no real attention to it until she heard the gentle babble of a stream from somewhere nearby, reminding her that she hadn't had much to eat or drink since she managed her escape.
"Hey, Nadi. Do you think we could stop by the stream for a bit?"
Without waiting for an answer, Zoey took off at a smart gallop. Ducking bushes and dodging trees, paying no attention to where she was going, except for to keep following the sound of flowing water.

Nadia looked over at the other foal smiled. That seemed like a great idea. And she followed after her; the foal seemed to be doing really well with this training, and she was glad. She always wanted another female around, not that her mother didn't count. But one her own age, but she had already been playing rough, so it would be hard for her to go back.
Catching up to Zoey the two found the river, and seeing the water Nadia realized how thirsty she was, and she lowered her head and started to drink.
She hoped that she would get to hang out with Zoey more often, the filly was really neat, and she enjoyed playing with her.

This was the most fun that Zoey had had in a long time. After her Daddy had left taking her sister with him, maman had become rather sad, and more than a little overprotective, not allowing her to play with anyone, even under her watchful eyes. It was for this reason that Zoey was so defiant, enjoying the chance to escape.
And to find another filly who liked to play, well, Zoey was very happy to have "discovered" Nadia on her escape.
After slaking her thirst, Zoey chanced to look up at the sky and notice how late it was getting. This was not good. For although she enjoyed her forays on her own, Zoey hated to cause her maman grief and upset. And being out his late was sure to upset her.
"Uh-oh." She shuffled her hooves slightly as she turned to her companion. "Sorry, but it's getting Reeeaalllly late and my maman is sure to be upset. I gotta get going. I hope to see yu around again sometime."
Without waiting for an answer, the impetuous filly turned back in what she had hoped was the direction from which they had come, and darted off.
