I really like XXXholic. I actually started reading it before Tsubasa. Actually, I wasn't even planning on reading Tsubasa and then one day at the bookstore I was browsing around, found volume one, thought about it crossing over with XXXholic, and decided to give it a try. Good that I did, no? xd
Anyway, I'm really interested in what's going to happen to Watanuki after he finally pays off his debt to Yuko. I think it's a fun manga and I like that it's different even though it crosses over with Tsubasa, so I don't have a problem collecting both.

They're both nice but it's hard to rate them against each other. So far, except for helping Watanuki, xxxHolic seems to be random incidents thrown together...so far, not enough to tell or seem like they have any relation a plot line of any sort.

Well, I never really saw the incidents as 'random.' I do recall Yuko mentioning to no one in particular about how [insert random incident here] will help Watanuki. Yuko certainly isn't giving Watanuki weird tasks for nothing. It's all to his benefit, it seems like she's preparing him for something. But for what? I guess we'll have to wait and see.
It should all come together in future volumes.

Yes, I know it's coming to something, and I'm dying to know what. I wonder what she's got planned for him and Clow...for some reason, I get the feeling it's got to do something with that. Plus, apparently the twins which appear in vol. 4 are gonna stick around...now if I could just buy vol. 4 so I could read it.... stressed

Yeah, apparently she and Clow have something prepared for him. Also,I don't know if those are the twins that stick around though, remember that chart on the other thread? They don't look like those twins at all. Ugh, can't wait for the next volume.

I love them both equally! They are so incredibly different and yet have some similar base themes at the same time... The traditional Japanese culture and the eerie, sometimes downright freaky stories in XXXHolic have gotten me addicted. The characters are charming and mysterious, and I can't get enough of Watanuki and Domeki. Yuko is a sexy beast, certainly one of the quirkiest and most lovely characters CLAMP has created. There's no flaw in this wonderful series, and I couldn't be more glad that it runs alongside Tsubasa. The two of them together create such a powerful storyline... It's amazing work!

I think xxxHOLIC gives the more humorous aspect of CLAMP. I started reading xxxHOLIC and Tsubasa at the same time, unless you count the fact that I just did eeny meeny miny moe between the two and picked Tsubasa first. I like both equally, though I feel that CLAMP, for HOLIC, is taking a bit longer to get around to the first major plot point.
Also, there's something about that girl Watanuki likes. (I forget how to spell her name.) Remember Yuko said it'd be hard going with her? And then, when she held that monkey's paw box, it opened for that lady...

I enjoy xxxHolic. I really do like how these two stories can stand alone by themselves but support each other. Some of the stories are really good, like in the fourth book with the twins (won't go into it, spoliers) and they actually made me think about it.
I'd like to have a friend (sort of) like Yuko-san. I would really like to know more about her partnership with Clow.

Himawari, yeah there is something up with her. She's always getting Watanuki 'in trouble,' you could say.

Bad luck usually accompanies her when it comes to Watanuki. Maybe Yuko knows that somehow she is helping him. Or maybe she enjoys watching him work himself out of the mischief she creates.

She seems to cause Watanuki trouble indirectly, like how many times when they meet, something bad happens (not necessarily to Watanuki himself, but he may see bad things)

You know, I hope I'm not persecuted for this, but sometimes I like xxxHOLIC better than Tsubasa, just because in HOLIC I don't know what's going to happen next. But in Tsubasa, sometimes I can predict what's to come.

Hmm....I can't say which I like better. But they're both good. Now that you mention it, Himawari does always seem to be followed up by trouble..like the Angel-san incident..and storytelling night.
Sometimes I wonder if perhaps Domeki has another purpose, like to keep Watanuki's crush from causing any more problems than normally would happen. I mean, if Watanuki spends all his time getting ticked and yelling at Domeki, he has less time to pay attention to Himawari...how interesting...

Another question I wanted to know was why Maru and Moro don't have souls...and why does that mean they can't touch the Mokonas?
