Doucette could honestly say she felt simply refreshed being in the woman's presence. It felt like any small problem she might have been worrying about before could simply slide from her shoulders to be thought of at a later date. And that was how she simply managed to continue beaming at the woman like it was her last smile ever. Doe was flat-out glad that the woman (and the man beside her) were in the food business, for it made the friendship she was now looking forward to all that more easy to build.
"I would certainly love to stop by and see it!" the woman replied with a firm nod, taking the tart and card and checking the number just in case there might be any numbers she couldn't properly read. How utterly tradgic it would be if she couldn't tell the difference and was never able to find Vivi again! Quickly Doucette shuffled the tart into one of her many newly obtained shopping bags and proceeded to locate one of her own business cards for the woman.
Being a food critic was certainly less exciting than owning your own bakery and being able to build cakes with too many letters, but it was the first time Doe presented her card with a bit of a flourish and amazingly without the rouge glare upon her ears. "If you ever need to get your name out there or need a boost in sales let me know. If I can't write something mouthwatering enough I will phone a favor to some co-workers, but I think I can do you justice."
And then there was very little left to say, and Doucette could tell that though the fair was dragging to a close there were still customers who wished to meet the Vermillion owner and might not take kindly to the red-head taking all her time. With many thanks and promises to see later, Doucette and her pugs bowed themselves out of the picture.
