Not at all, most of my friends are into newer music. Not many of them like the older classics.

I absolutely hate fake Beatles fans. gonk
I have yet to hear some kid other than me in real life say "OMG I love the Doors! My favorite song is |Strange Days, ect.| Ray was my favorite, even though Jim was the coolest." If I heard that I'd be like.. burning_eyes And probably hug them or somethin'. I hate fake fans of anything. Go watch your Twilight you... you... FAKERS! scream

Man...gets on my nerves sooooooooo much! I have a friend and seriously, she's not a fan of The Beatles. I thought she liked them merely because she said so, you know? Over time since we've been friends, I haven't heard her listen to their music or really talk about them. I mean, really. She may say like, "Here Comes the Sun/Twist and Shout/or some other popular song here are fantastic! The Beatles are GREAT!" It's so fake though! gonk Unfortunately, there are people like that. I believe you're an actual fan when you listen to their music fairly often, know at least a little bit about the band, and have listened to more than a few songs. Quite a few bands have great songs that weren't necessarily one of their greatest hits. Fake fans...just...no.

It's the same for me really. I have a couple of friends who know some classic rock but aren't really into it like me. I'm the only person I know who likes some old school 80s goth though. I think it's quite fun being different to be honest, and if I ever want to talk about classic rock there's loads of people online to talk to (I'm also quite a shy person so it's easier for me to talk online, seeing as I don't know the person).

Of course it's awesome to be unique and like older rock music. It's just that sometimes, it's nice to have someone there to chat with about it from time to time. I only have my parents. However, I have met a guy I really like that enjoys The Doors, The Beatles, Queen, Van Halen, Aerosmith, etc. etc. I have been waiting for a person like that for quite a while.

Aquatic_blue has no friends that like the same music I like? neutral I hate it so much. The only people that I know that like the same music I do in real life are my parents. It's awful D= I may have a friend that says, "I like The Beatles!" and I rarely hear them listening to The Beatles or don't seem to know even half of their songs. Maybe a friend or so will like one song by an artist I like, but I have no friends that are obsessed fans like me (goes for The Doors as well) sad " Music is only your only friend until the end"

tm41 Yeah i have a bunch of friends who pretend to like the doors/beatles but they can never tell me any of there lesser popular songs, also when ever i make refrence about the beatles/doors they have no clue what im talking about Oh, I totally know how that is. With the friend I have that claims to like/love the Beatles doesn't really even talk about them unless I make a reference to them. I remember wearing a shirt with The Beatles on it and she said, "YAY! The Beatles!" I'm like, "You love the Beatles?!" She's like, "YEAH!" And that was that. She doesn't know what I'm talking about otherwise. She only makes a comment if I wear a Beatles shirt, or mention them. Like, I said once, "The Beatles really don't have long songs. Usually like 1-3 minutes long. Although, their longest song is about 8 minutes, or so. What song was that again?" She said, "Um...I have no idea. Yeah, their songs aren't really all that long." Doesn't seem like she knows anything about them. My boyfriend is an awesome Beatles fan, we have so many Beatles jokes, it's funny razz then people always stare at us like, "Huh?" When we make jokes with Beatles references since most have no idea what we are even talkin' 'bout.
