ramoneguru Q: Is the event rigged? A: No, we are not at our computers inching up the score or taking away experience and mission counts from users. http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/halloween-2009-demonbusters/demonbusters-faq/t.55515941/ I guess that settles that.

We were given: Two hands to hold. Two legs to walk. Two eyes to see. Two ears to listen. But why only one heart?Obviously rigged. How cold have BOO gotten ahead of SIn then the scores become neutral?
Because the other was given to someone else. For us to find.

I'm thinking it was more "glitchy" than "rigged."

I don't really think its rigged. Aren't the gaia staff ALWAYS super busy? Why would they waste time rigging a competition lasting like a week?

Maybe not, but they could easily have made a scheduled score adjustment. There are countless ways of rigging it without manually adjusting the score, especially when you design the system yourself. And to answer your question, fantasy, they would rig it to make sure the side they like wins. After all, if evil won, they'd have to completely redesign Gaia's appearance, and they just revamped the site layout. Much simpler to code a specific score update into the system.

{{♥ ♠ ♦ ♣}} As of about 30 seconds before the event ended, S.I.N was up about 1000 points. However, the "close scores" were supposedly caused by numerous glitches that persisted throughout the event.
There is no way that there is a Tie, mathematically speaking, the chance of that is like you wining the gold lotto, twice. However due to all the glitches, its popular thought that both sides will keep their skins, however optimistic that thought is, it seems like one side or the other is going to win.
Although SIN was up by a large number, the devs are suppose to be looking at the raw data and will announce the winner of the event Monday, until then it's pure speculation.

But it ended with SIN in the LEAD. So that makes no sense. If they were gonna rig it, they'd rig it RIGHT.

Unless they failed the rigging, and it glitched? =D
I really doubt that they would bother rigging the event. If S.I.N. really did win, I'm sure they'll work it out somehow so that everything ends up basically as it was, or as it should be.
However, if the site really did change to reflect the forces of darkness taking over Gaia, wouldn't that be great?

Yeah, it's true it was glitching, but that might also be part of the rigging. they might come out and say BOO should've won even though SIN was ahead. And wahla, the good side wins.

That actually makes sense. The glitching could of been them trying to rig it but failing and then they could say that the glitching caused SIN to get ahead when BOO should of been ahead. Or they might just say that BOO won at the last second.
