What do you mean? I went to the doctors and read a paper saying that diets dont cause acne.
Change your doctor immediatly.
Any doctor who doesn't think that what you put into your body affects what comes out of it is an malpractice suit waiting to happen.
The thing with acne is that it's different for everyone. Because of this, which parts of your diet that help cause them changes from person to person. That said, fatty/greasy foods (at least in my experience) tend to be fairly across the board aggravants.
The best way to help with acne is to keep your face clean and moisturized. You should try to wash your face about three times a day (once when you first wake up, once before you go to bed, and once in between). Personally, I use this special soap that's really good at cleaning and makes me feel sparkly-clean, but doesn't dry out my skin. I tried that Clearasil crap, but my face started peeling horribly because it was making my skin so dry. Don't clean your face much more than that or you will remove too many of the natural oils that protect your face.
If you get a lot of zits near your hair-line, make sure you wash your hair every day (or every other day) and try switching to a shampoo for oily hair.
And, of course, it's always good to back up cleanliness with healthiness. Don't eat fast food or snack foods (like potato chips). Eat a lot of fresh/uncooked vegetables. Get excercise. Even if this doesn't help with your acne, it has enough other benefits to warrant doing it anyway.
