He laughed at her comment softly, his tail flickering behind him as he felt the easiness returning to the air around them. "Yes, it seems like the whole pride was simply made for cubs, doesn't it?" He couldn't help imagining what it would be like to walk through the swamps with a litter of cubs trailing along.
"It'll all be right, this time."

"I know it will be." she smiled. "I have you here with me this time to protect them." She closed her eyes and leaned her head against his. As long as he was there with her she knew nothing bad would ever happen to her again.
