"She's mine," Jes said, instinctively territorial. There was a very predatory gleam in her cold, red eyes that suggested she may have been considering Malak as a more satisfying exercise than the enormous hollow slowly dissolving behind her. "What business do you have with her?"

Sara seemed to be amassing an inordinate number of admirers. Though some of those admirers were more intent upon torture and making her scream than wooing her with words and actions. It placed Sara in quite some danger, though if her powers were strong enough, these inconveniences would sort themselves out. She wondered which type of interest Malak had in her newest 'fraccion'.

Malak saw through her eyes, that she was mad. Just looking into those blood red eyes, it looked like looking into a flood of madness. Why is this Sara so important? She's a human, but not, she's a shinigami, but isn't, and she's hollow, yet maybe. It would be best not to anger her and to try tell the truth.

"She's just seemed to be an interesting creature. She smells like a shinigami, but she isn't. She moved like them too, much like the other shinigami that I devoured. And yet, she's free to walk these halls. Many would've devoured her if they wanted too, even I wanted to before. But that's not what I was drawn to. Through her eyes, I saw something too much of me. She was alone, much as I was. All I could do was kill, eat, just to survive. But her, she looked helpless just looking at her, and it disgusted me, but made me drawn to her... I don't know what it is, but whatever it is, that's what made me draw near to her... She's an interesting creature she is." Malak couldn't read Jes's emotions, and she minus well slice his head off, and devourer him whole just talking about Sara like that. It might've been for the best. Malak felt heavy, and he felt like there was a wound on his body, just ripping open by a terrifying beast, much more stronger than him. And it might just happen...

"You might say she's a lost soul," Jes said, calming a fraction. She could taste the slight fear that coursed through Malak, but she could also taste truthfulness. These emotions were on the surface, at least. There were darker things below that made her quite curious. "Though you might also say that I helped her lose her way. Makes you want to tear her apart just to find out what makes her tick, doesn't it,"

Her tone had taken a darker, silken quality to it. She could taste the monstrous impulses within Malak and they mirrored many of her own. Including her own desire to dig deeper into his mind and determine just what made him tick, but she refrained, satisfied with having found at leas a partially kindred spirit. He, like her, was fascinated with Sara but in a less than friendly fashion. He, like herself, felt a hunger that couldn't exactly be sated. The similarities were enough to spare his life for the time being.

Lost soul? What do you mean lost soul? What is she a pulse with a sword? I don't get this not one bit...

Jes's tone suddenly changed, only slightly. But he felt like he'll still be torn apart if he looked away from her. He's playing a dangerous game, and it's turning out rather delightful for Malak. That rush of fear, so this is what is meant to be strong. Can Jes make him strong as well?

"Yes. It would make me tear her apart just to figure out what she really is." Then Malak swalled his throat and tried to calm himself down. "So would you accept me as your fraccion?"

"Though I wasn't aware you were petitioning for a position, I'll gladly give it to you," Jes said calmly, unsurprised by his sudden proposal. She offered a rare, twisted smile. "Just think-- Sara belongs to the Court. If you are part of its ranks, does that not also mean that she belongs to you? You just may get your chance with her, 13,"

The number by which she addressed him indicated his new status as her fraccion. There were two of Jes's subordinates directly above him while the rest of the Court and its various arrancar and hollows were below him and at his command. She didn't mind offering Sara as an enticement. Not only would it encourage his loyalty, but it would satiate his curiosity and appetites. Jes had no qualms about manipulating her various subordinates to get what she wanted. If Malak's loyalty meant giving Sara to him-- if not entirely, then in some capacity-- Jes was willing, albeit grudgingly willing.

((Sorry if it's short. I'm kind of sleepy...))

As Malak was offered his new title, he lowers his head in respect. He knows that he isn't one of the strongest faccion, but he'll prove his worth. "Thank you Jes-sama."

On the roof under an endless dark night, Malak is just seen shredding and devouring a hollow. Malak was just walking by, until a hollow ambushed him from behind. With little effort, Malak just shred the hollow to pieces in an instant with his teeth and bare hands. He had nothing to do. He couldn't locate Sara, like she just vanished into thin air, and besides, he didn't have nothing to do. A few days passed and Malak couldn't smell Sara at all, it was like she just vanished...

Sara stopped running once she'd hit the desert, tabi-and-sandaled feet sinking into the sands of Hueco Mundo. Yet again, she'd managed to ditch her would-be chaperon. Jes-sama seemed to insist on have Sara kept at all times under the watchful eye of at least one or two Court arrancar. It was like something had scared her enough that she wanted Sara protected nearly constantly. She didn't really know what was bothering Jes, though. As experiences went, she didn't really have anything dangerous or momentous to go by. After all, she couldn't remember having a past. Jes said she'd had one that was so painful it had been blocked out, and Sara believed her. Sometimes, when she concentrated hard enough, she could evoke a disembodied pain that hurt so much she felt as though she might fall to pieces. Luckily, Jes had always rescued her from such pain. Her power was intoxicating and pleasant. She helped relieve Sara's agony and replace it with more pleasant emotions. For those moments, when Jes lifted her out of that awful pain, Sara owed the Primera everything. It explained why she was so unfailingly loyal to the woman. Jes had bouts of rage and cruelty that often left Sara breathless, but she had equal fits of passion and tenderness that made Sara love her even more.

She still didn't appreciate the constant guards. Luckily, she'd given them the slip, today. They might be physically stronger, but nothing could keep up with her when she was running. Her small, lithe body was powerful in its own way. Little hawk, Jes sometimes called her, or, upon occasion, little angel. Belial, the spirit in her blade, used the same sorts of names. There was something about those pet names that resonated with her. She felt, sometimes, that she could simply leap into the air and take flight.

With a small smile, Sara pealed off her black tabi socks and white sandals that were part of her outfit. Leaving them at the edge of the desert, she moved off into the white expanse, digging her toes into the cold white sands. The desert was pretty in a sad way, with its moon all lonely and bright, illuminating bare and forlorn trees and stunted seedlings.

After devouring the last piece of the hollow, Malak slowly stands up and cracks his neck. It looks hard to devourer a hollow whole in one gulp, but not for Malak when he was a hollow, but it seems a little more difficult in this human body of his. Maybe he should refer to "small" bite sizes. After wiping blood off his lips, he felt a familiar presence. He ran to the edge of the roof and looks down to see a human. Not just a human, but Sara!

Malak quickly jumps off the roof, and lands on the ground with feet, and a hand for support. He slowly creeps up to Sara, hiding his reiatsu and looks down at her. He tilts his head back and forth as he looked at her hoping that she'd notice him by now and scream, but Malak didn't feel like waiting.

"Where have you been prey?" Malak said with his demonic smile...

Sara whirled around, working as best she could to turn the surprise on her face to a more mild tone. Her hand had fallen instinctively to her blade's hilt, but she hesitated to draw it. Face to face with the man who'd surprised her, Sara was met with a rather strange sight. He was wrapped head to toe in dark bandages, though his teeth seemed filed to sharp points. She felts something vaguely reptilian about him. It clashed with the hawk in her, making the fine hair on the back of her neck stand on end.

"Excuse me?" Sara asked, confused by his words. He acted as though they were old acquaintances, but Sara couldn't recall seeing him in her life. And he's called her 'prey' of all things. Did that mean he was going to attack? Maybe there was a reason for Jes's sudden protectiveness...

How funny. The prey is trying to act tough, and ignoring him. How laughable. He thought she changed for some reason, but she still had that same shocking face of hers every time she saw him.

"What's wrong Sara, my prey. No come backs? No declaration of battle?" Malak asked as he circled around, and keeping little distance from her striking reach.

"Where have you been?" Malak asked again, circling her while showing his teeth. Something is strange as he looked into her eyes. It must have been his imagination. She looked normal to him.

Sara pivoted on her heel, keeping the bandaged man in her sites as he circled her. His eyes looked hungry, and there was a small corner of her mind that warned to be wary of him. Maybe it was simply that his nature was so discordant with her own. Odd, though-- he really did act as if they were old acquaintances. That couldn't be, though. She didn't remember him, but his appearance was so unique that she imagined she would have recalled meeting him before.

"How do you know my name?" Sara wanted to know, unwilling to answer his questions. Where have I been? At Court, of course. It's only recently that Jes allowed me out. She said I was sick or something-- a fever that had held her in a delirious half-sleep for several days. Jes, she assumed, had taken away those memories of half-dreaming delirium to spare her.

This game was getting old for Malak, and he stopped where he stood. His grin vanished and he looked at her again with his dark green eyes. She maybe scared of him, but not stupid, and she was intimidating him.

"I'm part of this Dark Court that you belong to Sara." He slowly stuck out his long hollow remain tongue, which had a 13 on it. "I'm Malak Knash. The 13 strongest arrancar, and also part of your Jes-sama's fraccion" Malak said with his deep voice.

"Don't tell me you don't remember." Malak said, sucking his tongue back in. He cross his arms across his chest and stared at her. What's wrong with this human? She's not this stupid. With all the things he did to her, surely she would've stuck her sword into his belly by now...

"My Jes..." Sara said vaguely, almost possessively. She blinked. "I'm sorry, Malak-- I've been... Sick. Maybe Jes-sama didn't let the Court know. I don't remember it, myself. Only that I couldn't see many people during those days. There were some arrancar who helped keep me calm--"

She honestly didn't remember much. There were little flickers, bleary memories of some sort of pain, but it was so vague-- Jes had done a thorough job of purging the feeling and memory.

"Anyway, I don't know you," She said a little defensively.
