Take Me Out Than you shall forever remain American. His style of writing (as is Jasper Fforde's,) Terry Pratchett and Jasper Fforde rock my socks so very much. =) However, asking me to choose between CS Lewis and Terry Pratchett is far too hard, so I picked "other" and will announce another favorite: Diana Wynne Jones.

Take Me Out Mr. Pratchett would beat Mr. Tolkien any day. Indeed he would. Possibly because he is still alive, but that would be a vitalist remark, would it not?
