just give me a decent RB who can catch as well as he can run like Westbrook, and a QB who can run and strong arm and i'm good

heavy run then straight to PA with option passes thrown in the mix

That might not work to good in the new Madden, it's made to play like an actual team.

They always say that. Then a few days later we find it is still severely lacking. There are still plays that you can beat everyone with.

New revised strategy.

I play with what I have. If I use the Niners, I'll run a west coast type offense. Quick passes to set up the run.
If I use the Patriots, I'll throw the ball a lot.
If I use the Steelers, I'll play a more balanced approach with a lot more outside runs.
However, all that depends on the defense and their personnel.

For example, whenever my opponent chooses the Cowboys, I'll counter with the Patriots. This becomes easy. Their starting corners have 97 and 87 speed. I'll pair Moss with the slower corner. Depending on what the safety does, if he goes to help then I'll go underneath, otherwise, I'm going deep for that touchdown.

On defense, I focus to stop the pass and hope my front line can contain the run. Usually, I have a good front seven because... I only play teams with good front sevens... Patriots, Steelers, Cardinals, Vikings, Chargers, Niners...

Either way, I'm good enough on offense that I don't care who I have. I just need a good defense. Used to use the Ravens... Lol. Always play a West Coast type offense either way. Unless it's the Patriots...

Same here, I play like it's a real game.

I Blitz constantly, making my opponent throw the ball, My average from Madden 09 was maybe 32 rushing yards a game.

Nice job. I only got you beat by 3 yds. It is hard to not allow any yards. What level do you play? I play All Madden.
Computer? I played on All pro but it was getting way to easy, I did switch to All Madden but after like two games my Madden was to scratched to keep working (my little brothers fault). But I was mostly talking about playing against humans with the about 32 yards rushing.

LOL. Nice. I average less against humans than I do against All Madden. Comp is hard for me to play against for some reason. Playing against humans is easy for me. I just have to get used to the updates when the game comes back out before I play again. Been about two years.

Ravens.
Switch Ray Rice to my starting back, Mcgahee as 3rd down back.
Pound the rock till you stop it.

I can throw very effectivly if I need to, Running is just a lot safer and I can control the clock better.

I've won my share of tournaments lol.

Seriously.. You don't even play on Madden with other teams? You'd rather run heavy with Maroney (of all people) instead of having a strong passing attack in-order to open up the running attack?

If we're talking about stats here, here are mine from what I can remember. Online obviously...

Most used team: 49ers
Playbook: Cardinals (even though I just use the default....)
Record - 23-3. Would be 52-2 if people didn't quit on me so often and some f** didn't glitch...
Points Per Game: 25
Opponent Points Per Game: 9
Yards: 250
Oppo Yards: 170
Passing Yards: 180
Rushing Yards: 70
Opp Passing Yards: 120
Opp Rushing Yards: 30
Turnovers: 1.5
Forced Turnovers: 2
Sacks For: 2
Sacks Against: 1.4
Punts: 0.2

3rd Down: 54%
Pass: 55%
Rush: 45%
Scramble: 3% (I don't use running quarterbacks... Lol. Even if I do, I play the traditional drop back and pass)
Shotgun: 30%
Audible: 40%

Basically, I will score on you. I just need to get one stop on defense and I pretty much win. That's how I roll. Once you're down by 2 scores, you're going to pass. That's where turnovers happen. My pass defense is awesome.

Really nice. I give you your props. But I am a person you need to be up more than 2 scores to put me away. I am able to make turnovers happen when you least expect it and not have to rely on the pass to win in tight situations with lining up great run plays and getting out of tackles. I do know I avg more than 140yds rushing a game no matter who I face coupled with more than 250yds passing. I am able to do whatever I want offensively and close to defensively whenever I want. Shame I am so rusty now since I havent played since the 2007 game came out. Only tried 2008 but never had the time to play it.

You give me all those stats, but the game changes each year. The change was huge from 07-08. A little smaller, but they were there in 09.

It's much easier to run the ball in 07 than 08 but it's easier to rush the ball in 09 than 08, but still much more difficult than 07.

Power backs dominated 07... So did play action passing. A corner route with a TE is nearly unstoppable. A fast receiver will dominate. 97 speed receiver against a 94 speed CB is a sure lose in one on one coverage. In 09, you'll need a 90 CB to outrun them, even then, might not happen.

Defense is much more easier to play and they're a lot smarter in 09 than 07.

So really, you're stats don't mean a whole lot until you play the newer games.

Some stuff to add... AI is much smarter. Very difficult to rush, especially rushing to 20+ yards in a play.
